SPEAKER_06Good evening, Saints. How are you all doing this evening? That's good. My name, of course, is Sister Lydia Murphy. As it was introduced, I am here to speak on one of the seven sayings, last seven sayings of Jesus while he was on the Christ cross. Excuse me. So just a little background is coming from Luke. So Jesus was on tour in a sense. So he was healing people, multitudes of people left and right from all over at random, sometimes on the spot, as needed. So you can only imagine how tiring that could have been, right? Indeed, exactly. So he wanted to be alone praying by himself. Plus, he needed to pray without ceasing, which of course is what 1 Thessalonians 5 and 17 says. Why? To stay in connection with his father. I've learned by going to Bible study that prayer is the lifeline of the child of God. Thank you to Elder Conity for that. That was actually a direct quote. So if that sounded good, then y'all need to come on out to Bible study on Wednesday nights, okay? All right. So a little shameless plug there, if you will. So in Bible study, um, Jesus, uh, I'm sure was exhausted, right? He needed to decompress, he needed to call on his father, his lifeline. So when I got the text to be on program, my mind, however, went everywhere. Okay. I was a little bit like, oh, I might be busy on Friday night at seven o'clock. I'm probably gonna be in the bed. But you know what? I was like, you know what? Only the only word that I heard was obedience. Yes. And so when they said that, it was gonna be from Luke. I said, Oh, I know a little bit about Luke. I've been reading in Luke. And so um, what's happening in Luke is that the, excuse me, the folks, the people, they wanted signs and wonders if Jesus, as if Jesus raising people from the dead, casting out demons wasn't enough, healing the sick, they wanted signs. They literally wanted him to move the constellations, move the heavens and the stars. They didn't see what was going on right in front of them. And so Luke 11 and 29 through 32, that's what exactly it says. They literally wanted him to prove that he is the Christ, that he is the savior. Luke 13, 10 and 17, or 10 through 17 says that there was a lady. He was in the synagogue, he was preaching and teaching, same difference. And this lady was bent over. She was bent over for 18 years, and then he seen her, was like, woman, you are loose, you are healed. And she immediately stood up, of course, because people wanted them, so it happened on the Sabbath. And back then you couldn't do anything on the Sabbath. You couldn't work, all you had to do was worship, pray, be and just be with your family and just chill out. However, they thought that was working. So the ruler of the synagogue at the time, he was like, Hey, there's six other days that you could heal, do it on one of those days. I like Jesus because Jesus, Jesus called him out. He said, You hypocrite. Don't you, don't you? If your ox, your oxen are, don't they need water? You feed them, you take them on down to the lake, that's doing work. Why can't this lady be healed on the Sabbath? What other day should she have been healed? So Jesus, he was, he would like to call him out, and I was I like that about him. So, of course, Jesus is literally in Luke 23 and 34, Jesus is literally on his deathbed, if you will, asking God to forgive them. For the people who are doing this to him, they mocked him, saying, If you are really the Christ, the chosen of God, save yourself. They still was looking for signs and wonders from him. Regardless, he did all those things. However, grace, right? Grace is for when we need it, it is not to be played with. Once again, that is from Elder Konnedy. Come on out to Bible study. So, of course, in conclusion, we need to stop looking for signs and wonders from God and be thankful and grateful for what he is doing daily, the provisions he is providing daily. And so, Lord, I just ask that you forgive us for not noticing what you are doing for us daily. Help us to recognize and receive every blessing that is from you. Now is my time. Thank you.
SPEAKER_07Praise the Lord, praise the Lord. How is everybody this evening? Blessed and highly favored, amen. It is Good Friday, hallelujah. Give me a second, we're trying to deal with this electrical. Okay, here we is. Amen, amen, amen. Thank you, God. Let me pray. Heavenly Father, I am grateful for your heart, I am grateful for your power, I am grateful for the great the gift of salvation that you gave us, even while we were yet sinners, deep in our sin. What is, man, that you are so mindful of us, yet in your sovereignty, you chose us anyway. For I know that there is no greater love than yours, Lord God. So now, God, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Oh Lord, my strength, my redeemer. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord, everybody. All right now, all right now. I feel good a little bit. All right, all right, all right. So I count it um an honor as well as a pleasure to be uh part of this and to stand before you on this good Friday to speak about our Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Okay, let's get straight to the word. I am coming from Luke 23, 43. It simply says this. Truly I say to you today, you shall be with me in paradise. This is the second words that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said on the cross. Um if I could give this short word of encouragement, a title, of course, it would be unqualified but chosen. Amen. All right, let me set the scene for you all. So to understand this moment, we have to back up. We gotta go back a little bit. Jesus was on the cross and he was not alone. There was two criminals, two thieves. Some versions of the Bible say malefactors, robbers, evildoers. One on each side. Jesus died. Did you ever think about this? Jesus died like a thief to save us from a thief. Anyone ever thought about that? Mm-hmm. Now, there was one sinner here and there was one sinner there, but Jesus put on sin so that we all may live again. Anyone know about that? Yes, that's my God. So one of them decided to mock my Jesus and said, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us. But the other one spoke up and said, Do you do not fear? Do you not fear God? We deserve this, but this man has done nothing wrong. Then he says, Jesus, he recognized authority. He said, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. And Jesus responds, Today you will be with me in paradise. If for a second, and I'm pushing, I'm pushing, stay with me. This is gonna bless you like it blessed me. Amen. Notice the pattern. Now watch this. The first thief says, if you are, that sounds similar. It sounded similar and familiar to me. Um, and I thought, because the enemy is has never needed any new strategy, he just recycles the old ones over and over again. Y'all notice that? Same person or different person, same situation? Different person. You know what you like. Know what you like. It's a distraction, but stay with me, stay with me now. Put your spiritual seatbelts on really quick. We're gonna do some real quick time traveling. So that was still ringing in my spirit. So let's go back to the garden. Let's go back to the garden of Eden. The serpent spoke to Eve and said, Did God really say that? Let's travel over to the wilderness where the devil tried to tempt God and said, If you are the Son of God, now let's come back to the cross. You slick, you gonna come to the cross? And he had one of the thieves to say, if you are, somebody said they had the unmitigated gall. If you are the Christ, so we understand here it's a different scene, same scheme, different moment, same manipulation. The enemy's goal has always been the same, to make you question who you are in Christ and step outside of the will of God. Amen. Since the shift, think about it, since the shift. But then something shifts. The second thief says, Do you not fear God? Seeing we are under the same condemnation. Now, this is powerful because when you study the scriptures, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Matthew says both thieves were mocking Jesus at first. Which means that somewhere between mocking and dying, something changed. Somewhere between justice and mercy, Jesus stepped into place. Hallelujah. A moment, that thief had a moment, a moment where he came to himself, just like the prodigal son earlier in the scriptures of Luke, when he came to himself. And if we ever are being honest and truthfully honest with ourselves, you have all had a moment as well, or else you would not be sitting here. You have had a moment. Some of it is like, how Lord, did I get here? When you come to your senses, Lord, save me. I am I'm not where I'm supposed to be. This ain't even me. Anybody? Anybody had said that? Had that thought? Yes, yes, that moment when you came to your senses. This is when conviction meets decision. Woo! This is when conviction meets decision. This is when you turn it around. Now I'm gonna point this out really quick, and I am gonna be out of your way shortly. Now, watch what the thief does. He says, We are punished justly. That's repentance. This man has done nothing wrong. That is recognition. Lord, remember me. That is confession and faith. In one moment, he does everything. And here's the powerful part of that. He wasn't a part of no church attendance, he didn't go to no revival. It wasn't about works. Come on now. It wasn't about any rituals or traditions. Just peace, just faith, just a moment. John 3 16 says, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever should believe in him, you have to believe in him, will not perish. Acts 16 30 through 31. Simple instructions, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will come on, somebody be reading their Bible up in here. Now Romans 10 and 13 says, Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be amen, amen, amen. And the one thing I like about God, just like Sister Lydia said, he didn't say not next week, he didn't say after you prove yourself, he didn't say after you clean up, he said today, the same day, the same cross, the same moment. The one who rejected him and the one who received him were in the same proximity. Did you know that? But there were different outcomes. Different outcomes. In closing, here is the shift I want you all to catch. The same pattern that the enemy uses to pull you out of identity. God will use that moment to pull you back into destiny. That same mouth that once mocked God became that same mouth that confessed, oh God, hallelujah! That confessed to him. That same man who was dying in sin walked into paradise that same day. And even you and I may be unqualified, but thank God that we are chosen. Hallelujah. And I leave you with this. So if God can turn the cross into a doorway, he can turn your situation into a testimony. Amen. And if he can do that for the thief in his final moment, imagine, just imagine what he can do with you right now. God bless you.
SPEAKER_01So today mine is titled Woman Behold Thy Son. From John chapter 19, verses twenty-six and twenty-seven. Then he said to the disciple, Behold your mother. And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. So even in his suffering, Jesus was intentional. He did not leave relationships unattended. He did not allow love to go unspoken. He reassigned responsibility. This moment teaches us that God honors relationships, especially in times of transition. Mary was not just losing a son, she was given a new covering. The disciple was not just witnessing a crucifixion. He was being entrusted with care, responsibility, and family. Sometimes God will allow one season to close, but he will not leave you empty. He will speak into your situation and say, Behold what I have to provide, what I have provided for you. What feels like loss may actually be divine repositioning. I know this to be true, not just from scripture, but from my own life. When it was time for me to give birth to my son, what should have been a joyful moment quickly turned into a crisis. The nurse could not find his heartbeat. The atmosphere in the room shifted, and one by one, people began to give up hope. Even the doctor reached a point where it seemed like there was nothing more that he could do. But there was one nurse who refused to stop. She moved me from side to side, determined and focused. She called out for an emergency C-section and urged everyone to act quickly. When others were ready to step back, she pressed forward. She found the faintest heartbeat, and they rushed me down the hallway. When my son was born, he was not breathing. And his body, it was lifeless. No signs of life were shown. But that same nurse stayed right with him, working and believing and refusing to give up. Then after what felt like forever, my son cried. He began to breathe and sneeze. Life returned to his body. The umbilical cord had been wrapped around his neck and restricted him from breathing because of his size. But it could not take him out. God had already made a decision about his life. At that moment, I saw God's hand clearly. Just as Jesus spoke provision and purpose from the cross, God was speaking life over my son. When others could not see it, God had already declared it. When others let go, God held on. Woman, behold, thy son is real to me. It is not just words spoken to Mary, it was a reminder that when God entrusts you, He also preserves it. What he places in your hands, he covers with his power. God gave me my son. In seasons of fear, confusion, and uncertainty, I hold on to that truth. God sees, God provides, God sustains, and when God finishes, what he starts always. When God says, behold, do not just look, receive it. Because what he places before you is intentional, necessary, and filled with his love.
SPEAKER_03Give an honor to those who honor is due. Um the enemy has been fighting me for the past couple days. I understood why today, why he's been fighting me. Because he did not want me to be up here. So we're coming from Mark 15, 34. And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, Lama, Tabakhani, which is translated, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? I looked up forsaken, and forsaken means being completely abandoned, deserted, or left alone, often in a moment of this dire of a dire need. So why would God abandon his son? He was taking a form he did not recognize, so he was taking on something that was not of him. So he did not see his son anymore. He saw sin. So now he's not seeing his son, he's seeing the men that beat his son. He's seeing the men that mocked his son, amen. Or say there may be the sins of his his people, his disciples. Modern time, I would say, uh, you know, maybe you guys know me, I talk about me before I talk about anyone else. So if he's forsaken and these things, these sins are being put on. His son that he does not recognize it because Marshall Him because of Marshall's sins that has things out of order in his home, that he does not recognize his son. Is it citizens of his people in the church that he does not recognize his son? That we have put on Jesus Christ? Is it the person you're not supposed to be talking to because you are married, but you're entertaining this person in your Instagram that you know you're not supposed to be talking to in your Instagram? Is it that the reason why he does not recognize his son? Is it that we go talking behind the pastor's back about a situation that he did not handle the way you wanted him to handle it? Is it that that he is now not recognized as son? Is it that we as a people have gotten scared to be in this world and speak on Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost and we have conformed to what the world is, that he does not recognize his son? Is it that our children no more TikTok dances than scripture? That he does not recognize his son. We do not have to stay in this state because Jesus saved us. Amen. So uh why are we wearing something that is not meant for us to wear? So I ask you before I leave today, does re does God, does God recognize you? Amen.
SPEAKER_05Ain't no party like a Holy Ghost party. Hallelujah, we thank God I'm here tonight. Hallelujah. Lord, we just thank and praise you on tonight. And my part is I thirst. Starting from John the 19th and the 28th verse. After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, he said, I thirst. Amen. And so this is this is the flip side to this thing. Jesus was going through a physical thirst. And it was fulfilled in the scripture. We have to go all the way back to Psalm 69 when David wrote an urgent prayer, and he said the same thing that when he was thirsty, they gave him vinegar to drink and gall for his food. This was already fulfilled in the scripture. So this was Jesus fulfilling what was yet been told. And God is letting us know that he suffered a physical hurt, but yet there's a flip side when there's a spiritual thirst, also. Amen. And so in in this scripture, we when I listen to the children sing, it's by the grace of God that we're here. It's because of Calvary. When the Satan said his blood still worked, he was pierced in his side. Blood and what? But that blood still works. So hallelujah. So we thank God for the blood that still works. Hallelujah. And so we we see here that when Jesus was on the cross, he said, I thirst. I thirst. So we know that when you thirst, the Bible tells us what? Thirst. Those that thirst after righteousness shall be filled. So there's a reason for thirsting. Okay. The Bible speaks of thirsting all the time. So this is letting us know that we got to have a hunger, a thirst, a physical thirst. You want to feel your dehydration. You want to get some liquid. Yes, Jesus was thirsty. He's letting us know that he felt what you felt. He went through what you went through. He knows what it's like to feel pain. He knows what it's like to suffer. So what you're going through, don't worry about it. Because he's already paid the price on Calvary. Yes, you're gonna suffer. Yes, you're gonna go. He said, they didn't live with righteous joy, shall suffer persecution. But he already did it. He knows what you're going through. He already knows. So he's letting you know I thirst. Just like you thirst. But I'm talking about that spiritual thirst. I'm talking about the hunger and thirst after righteousness, hunger and thirst after the Lord, hunger and thirst after what he can do for you. Hunger and thirst, if you got that hunger and you got that thirst, you're gonna go after God. You're gonna go after God. You might have a backache, but he already had that pain. You might have a headache, but he already had that pain. Whatever you're going through, he already did it. He already did it. He's letting you know. This is a spiritual thing. Finalizing the mission that he had to complete the task. Connecting God's human suffering to our human suffering. Amen. He's letting us know that you ain't what it says it's nothing new under the sun. It ain't nothing new. It's nothing new under the sun. Believe the word of God on today. The word of God stands sure. God's promises is yes and amen. Hallelujah. He didn't go to Calvary for nothing. Like they said, he could have got down off that cross. But he stayed there so that you and I might have life. He stayed there because he said his word is life. He gives living water. Living water. Hallelujah. So we got to hunger and thirst after righteousness. You get thirst means what? To really want something over the spiritual side. Thirst means to go after it. Thirst means you just got a craving for it. You got to have a craving and a hunger for the Lord. We already know how to get something liquid. We know how to go get some water. We know how to go get some gator eggs. We don't got honey and on and head. You got to have that hunger denominated here. You got to righteousness. You got to hunger for God. You got to, and what did he say? They did hunger. What? Shale after he didn't say money. Shale will be filled. Hallelujah. Shale will be filled. So whatever you're going through today, hunger and thirst after God. Hunger and thirst after God. He don't, his word don't lie. He said you shall be filled. What did he talk to the lady at the wheel? The water that I give you never thirst no more. That's the water that we need. That you never thirst no more. That's what he told the woman at the window. Hallelujah. Like when the children say it's by the grace of God, it's because of Calvary and the grace of these children that you're here today. You might have a lip in your walk. You might have a head of guess what? It's because of Calvary that you're here today. Hallelujah. Thank God for Cavalry. Oh, because of Cavalry. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank God for Calvary. Thank God for Calvary. Hallelujah. So in this suffering, in this thirsting, we God's letting He know what He already know. He already know. He already knows that your spiritual, but your spiritual thirst is what we have to look after. Amen. And it just goes to show you. You've been in a situation, we said, wait a minute. Seem like this happened before. Didn't I go through? Didn't somebody tell me that that's that same situation. We think we always talk about Daniel in the lion's den. You've been in your own private den, but you're still here. Hallelujah. He left Daniel in the life. He letting us go. Daniel went to the lion's den, but he's still here. Hallelujah. They suffered in the Bible days. We're gonna suffer in these days, but it's only by the grace of God. So I'm here to let you know today hung and thirst after righteousness, hunger and thirst after the Lord. Get that hunger in your spirit. Hallelujah. Nobody got to tell you, get that hung and thirst down in there. You'll know what to do. Praise God. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord, saints. It's an honor to be here. It's an honor to speak on any one of the seven sayings. But first I gotta say, y'all put me six behind what I gotta come behind. That was wrong. But I give honor today and I thank God for being here. Having the sixth saying, which is under John chapter 20, the 30th chapter, 30th, chapter 20, verse 30, it says, When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished. And he bowed his head and gave up the ghost. I looked at this from a kind of weird angle, so y'all hang with me. They were low down to give a man thirsty vinegar. When I read that, the the the Marine Corps side of me said, somebody should have put something in their forehead for doing that to my savior. He was thirsty. He needed to be quenched. Now, I'm gonna flip it over to you and I. We get thirsty, don't we? For attention, for love, for a decent job, for just a comfortable place to live. And somehow or another, the dark side always shows you something else, a slick, quick way to get to where you think you really want to be. What if they said, fast money go fast? They'll show you the fast money, and then you'll have to deal with the consequences of the fast money. Jesus was thirsting and they gave him vinegar. And I said, Y'all low down. Straight up low down. But what he did in response to that turned out to be the victory. Many times people will tell you they killed Jesus. No, don't ever believe they killed Jesus. In his word, he said, I gave up the ghost. He said it was finished. He had done what he needed to do. He didn't hang around waiting on some other stuff. I've done my job. Okay, I've come I've completed my task. So I'm out of here. Y'all can have this foolishness because I've done what I'm supposed to do. Y'all can have this. They say, and I've heard them say it, my job where they killed Jesus. Wrong, my friend. They didn't have the power to kill Jesus. That's what it was. They didn't realize who's fat who he really was. They didn't realize who his daddy was. How many people you talk to said, you know my daddy, don't you? And they chill out, don't they? If he'd have told them that, do you think they'd have crucified him? If he'd have told them, you don't know who my daddy is, let me make a quick phone call to show you who I am. He completed his mission. In your life, God will give you an assignment. Everybody here, and under sound of my voice, got an assignment. I behoove you to seek God on what your assignment is so that you can complete it. Because if you leave this earth without completing your assignment, now what? Don't ever forget that God got a job for you. He's got something for you to do to praise in his world, to strengthen, to pull up. Because folks are watching you. The moment you say the words, I'm saved. You're now being watched. Do your job. Whatever that job is that God gives you, just do it. Don't sweat the naysayers, because they're gonna talk about you anyway. Do your job because you're not doing it for the for the for the multitude. You're praising one entity and one entity only. And if God tells you, well done, my daughter, then you've done what you're supposed to do. I'm a spoiled kid, and I'm gonna get down. I'm a spoiled son because I loved my father. I idolized my father. And I told somebody this, I said, My dad was the kind of dad, we had the kind of relationship. If I'd have gone out and killed a hundred people and he tapped me on my shoulder and said, Oh, it's all right, boy, don't worry. I would have walked in the courtroom and said, Do what you're gonna do. Because the man I love has given me the stamp of approval. You got to do God the same way. Do what he tells you to do in spite of the naysayers. Jesus did his job. He could have came off that cross and wiped them all out, but that was not his job. We all got a job. Follow what God has got for you. All you gotta do is ask him. And when you ask him, I always say this in Sunday school, fasten your seatbelt because you're getting ready to go on a ride. Thank you.
SPEAKER_04After all that, I don't Lord Jesus. All the speakers were wonderful today. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's give a hand praise to all our speakers today. My God, my God. Anointed, anointed, anointed. I have the seventh saying, and it kind of parallels what Deacon Butler was talking about. Um it comes from Luke, the 23rd chapter and the 46th verse. But before I do any of that, Father, let me pray. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, give me the words to say and how to say them, Lord. Lord, remove Johnny from this right now and put your spirit in right now, Lord. Let you speak to the people, Lord. Give them a word that they need to hear to touch their hearts. In Jesus' name we pray and give thanks. Amen. Amen. My scripture is Luke 23 and 46. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. Having said this, he breathed, he breathed his last breath. Amen. This was the last act that Jesus performed on earth on earth. When he did this, he was not just giving up the spirit. He is letting us know that the work was already done. He's letting us know that what he came down to do was already completed. Like I said, this scripture right now is parallel to what Deacon Butler was talking about, but a different scripture, same meaning. So if you look in the Bible, there's four different uh versions of it. There's Matthew, there's Mark, there's Luke, and there's John. But all four writers had a different take on the same scene. And I learned that today from one of my sisters today. She taught, she gave me a little insight on it. And she said, if you go to an accident and you get four witnesses, they all gonna tell you a different story. So when you read this, because we had a uh a discussion on it and say, well, how come he saw it like this? And how come he saw it like that? How come they said if you different witnesses see different things? Amen. But the one thing that is constant is that Jesus completed the sign. He started the work, and we when he was sent to work, he was started, he started and finished everything he was done to do. Jesus said in John 4, 34, Jesus said unto them, My food is to do the will of him who sent me and finish his work. Jesus has a job to do, and if he did not do his part, we all would be lost. Thank you, Lord, for finishing your work. Thank you, Jesus, for not giving up on me. Thank you, Jesus, for watching over me. Thank you, Jesus, for talking about seeing about me when I wasn't seeing about myself. Thank you, Jesus, when I wasn't in your will, you still me had me in your perfect will. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord, for not getting off that cross. And what was the work that he did? He taught me how to love my enemies. Matthew 5 and 44. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Now that's a big one. Because you know it's some people that say stuff to you, and you just want to, ooh, if I could just. If I can just, if I can just, and you know, all of us got it in our mind, all of us have it in our head. We say, if I can just get away with it, I can just do this and I have my, and I think Dickabullah had talked about it before. If you you have your people, and then I have this over here, and I have this set up over here, and if I had this set up over here, and I have this set up over here, I can get away with it, and nobody'll know nothing. But God knows. So that's why he says, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. So that means the people that talk about you, you gotta love them anyway. And it's not just church folk, you got people out there that hate you just because of who you are. You gotta love them anyhow. You gotta see for them, see about them anyhow. You got family members that can't stand you. Come on, I I know somebody heard that. You got family members who can't stand you. Every time your phone, you the phone ring and it's your name on that call, they were like, Oh Lord, here he go again. Say the same thing. But Jesus said, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Another thing he taught me how to be humble, and that's Luke 13 14, 13 through 14. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, let me say that again. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteousness. You saying, Elder Ray, what does that mean? I'm glad you asked. That means you you taught you you take care of people that are less fortunate than you. You look over people that's less fortunate to you. You don't turn your back on everybody. And when it says having a banquet, whatever you're doing, you can be at the grocery store and somebody can be in line and they be short money. And just because you look at them and say, Oh, yeah, I don't want to give them nothing. Remember, that was you. You were standing there with half trying to trying to put out a card here. Can you put five on this card? And can you put 10 on this card? And can you put 15 on this card? And you know, put the balance on this card right here. So you gotta understand that. He also taught me to repent. And that's Matthew 9 and 13. Then he added, now go and for go and learn the meaning of this scripture. I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifice. For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but to those who who know they are sinners. So God is not just looking for the righteous, he's looking for the sinners. Amen. Amen. Amen. Y'all kind of quiet on me out there. So he said he didn't come for the righteous, he didn't come for the high the high, hidey highs and the elders and the pastors and all that. He came for the the lowly ones, the sinners who are looking for him, the ones who are running, say, What must I do to be saved? That's who he came to save, and that's who he went to the cross for, and that's who I used to be. I used to be one of the ones that didn't know God like I know him now. But when I look back over my life and I see what he brought me through, my soul cries out, Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord, for saving me. Can anybody look back over their life and know where you was and know where you are now? And it's all you can say is nobody but God got me here. Nobody but God made me here, nobody but God healed my body, nobody but God stranged my mind, nobody but God made me talk right, nobody but God made me walk right, hallelujah, nobody but God, hallelujah. Man can't take credit for it. God did it. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I'm feeling a little bit better now, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, and most of all, he taught me how to live. John 15 and 12. My commandment is this love each other as I have loved you. Hallelujah, hallelujah. We must understand that we owe God a worship, we owe God a praise. So when you come into these doors, you owe God something. I ain't never heard of nobody come to somebody's house and didn't and didn't say hi to the the master of the house. If somebody walked in your house, if somebody walked in your house and didn't say hi to you, you gotta go. So why do we walk into our father's house and give him reverence? Why do we walk in our father's house and give him praise and not give him praise? Why do we walk in our father's house and not say thank you, Jesus, for the long week that I had that I think I didn't think I was gonna make it to Sunday? Why do we do that? Hallelujah, hallelujah. Not let another day go by that you do not give God some praise. Do not Let another day go by that you don't give God the worship that he deserved. Do not let another day go by that you don't say thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Now he got up on that cross and died for our sins even before we were born. What a mighty God we serve. If you see, somebody should have shouted right there. Because he got up on the cross even before you were born. So he knew how messed up you was before that. So he said, Let me get up on this cross and cover that sin right now. Hallelujah. And like I said, it parallels to what Deacon Butler was saying, he said, it is finished, signifies that the battle is won. The enemy is defeated, and all of our sins are washed away. Hallelujah. Now, when your sins are washed away, that don't mean go back and do the same thing over again. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. For those of us that have kids, when your kids do something bad, do you reward them for bad behavior? So why do you think your heavenly father should reward you for bad behavior? He saved you, he delivered you, he set you free. And you still want to go back to Egypt. Hallelujah. You still want to go back to the place where you got delivered from. Hallelujah. I'm almost done. I'm almost done because I see y'all right now. I see y'all right now thinking about it. So remember that these seven last stands, remember the seven last things that these speakers said. And remember the speakers who brought their brought it in their own way. All of them are anointed by God. But when I came to the realization that Christ died for me, there was a change over my life. I didn't want to do the things I used to do. When I came to the realization that God saved me, I didn't want to go back to the things I got delivered from. And that's not an overnight thing, that happens over time. Because I can tell you, back 20 something years ago, I wasn't where I was right now. You weren't looking at Elder Ray right then. You was looking at Johnny. You were looking at John Boy. My brother tell you, you're looking at John Boy out there hanging out. But God's got a way of putting people in your life that even if you're in a place you're not supposed to be in, somebody will talk to you and say, You know you're not supposed to be here. Why are you here? You don't even associate with us. That light you got is shining too bright to be in a place like this. I had somebody come up to me and tell me that younger in my life, somebody told me that and said, Why are you here? And I was like, I'm just trying to hang. He said, No, no, no, no, no. This ain't your crowd. You don't belong here. You don't belong. This is not the person, this is not the place for you. And I thank God today because I can look back over there and say, if I would have stayed there, I wouldn't have been here right now. Hallelujah. So in my closing, remember to give God glory for making a change in your life. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah.
