SPEAKER_02Jenny, thank you for being here. Absolutely, Kim, it's my pleasure. Wonderful. We cannot wait to hear about this new book that you have in your hand and with you today. I can't believe it's real.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_02And so much work. So much work, so much prayer. Wonderful. So Jenny Nock telling us all about her new book with her husband Chris, who can't be with us today, but has certainly been a founding partner in this work. So, Jenny, tell us a little bit about what you've got.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. We created this workbook so that people didn't always have to come to us. Kim, we've been doing this for 30 years. Right. And we have touched hundreds of people, hundreds of relationships, I don't know, 20, 30 churches, and we just can't always be everywhere anymore. And 24 years ago, somebody said you should write a book. Took me a minute. But here's the book. So we we put it in in print for everybody to be able to do the work at home.
SPEAKER_02So wonderful. Wonderful way to share this vital information. So tell us a little bit, Jenny, about what that book actually holds. What are the contents in there? So who's it for?
SPEAKER_01Wow. Who's it for? Who is it not for? Would be easier. Uh it's not for the newborn, like literally the one month old, because they're probably not hurt yet. Uh but it's an interactive workbook that heals traumas, that breaks patterns, that restores relationships. Don't we all need that?
SPEAKER_02We all need that.
SPEAKER_01We all need that from somewhere. And Jesus told us how that could work. Luke 4, 18 and 19. Heal the brokenhearted, set the captives free, setting at liberty those who are oppressed.
SPEAKER_02Freedom.
SPEAKER_01Freedom.
SPEAKER_02Which brings us to what? Freedom for life.
SPEAKER_01Freedom for life. It's not just for today, but you really can have extended, lasting, lifelong freedom.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02And a wonderful thing that is. It's a very wonderful thing. That's actually what Jesus died for. Absolutely. Scripture tells us. So what do you think would be most surprising for someone working through this book, Jenny?
SPEAKER_01Most surprising? That it's gonna work.
SPEAKER_02That it's gonna work.
SPEAKER_01I mean, how many workbooks do we have on our desks? Yeah, I know. Okay, we don't answer that question. But but that's really the truth of it. Um, I have people who call me because their friend said, their husband said, their pastor said, you have to meet with Jenny. And they're like, fine. And by the end of our our hour, they're like, oh my gosh, I really didn't think that was going to work. Yes. And I feel lighter, I feel freer. I can think about that pain and it doesn't hurt anymore. And I'm like, yeah, Jesus said it would work. Jenny didn't say it would work, Jesus said it would work. We just happened to put it in a book so y'all can take it home and do the thing and and get the freedom. Um, but it it works. And it works when you read it in a book.
SPEAKER_02That's the crazy part. It does. And what what sort of feedback are you getting from people about this?
SPEAKER_01Um, one, that it's more easy to read than they thought.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Uh, which we tried really hard to put white spaces in there. I don't know how you read books. I prefer not to. And so the more white spaces there are in there, the more likely I am to persist to the next page. And so there are the journal prompts in here, prompts in here. There are um the prayers are in here. And yeah, it's just really an easy book to use.
SPEAKER_02That's wonderful. So, so Jenny, tell us a little bit, just a minute or so, about what you and Chris do other than this book, or that's going to encompass this book.
SPEAKER_01Um, so this is this is our broad everybody needs this. We've been doing this for 30 years. Our passion project right now is working um with engaged, so premarital counseling and newlyweds. Yes. Uh, because our marriage almost crashed at 18 months. We were leaders in the church, we were doing all the things, Chris was on the worship team, and we we did, we crashed and burned. But thankfully, through this program and the coach that we had that we were working with, we are here today, now almost 31 years later. Um, and so that engaged couple population that are going, oh, we're so in love and it's just great, and we're in the church and it's just great. And I'm like, it is until it's not, sister. I mean, like, that's that's just the thing. And so in our premarital counseling, not only do we talk about finances and we talk about family and we talk about jobs and we talk about roles, but there will be differences, and that's not bad. But when you can take the differences and put the first four simple principles of heart healing on top of them, then you have a solution to all the differences that come up because they will all come up.
SPEAKER_02Yes. So this is the guide to real life. The guide to real life. And then it can actually be plugged in anywhere with most situations. Whatever, absolutely in life stages, absolutely circumstances. Yes. So beautiful. Um, what is one thing that you would say, Jenny, to someone who's considering buying your book?
SPEAKER_01Why would you not? You don't want to be free? You don't want to be free in all the areas that you can possibly be free in. I know that people have passions, right? I mean, that's what gets us up in the morning. The paychecks are nice, but they're also the things that we love. And when there are things that we love, but we can't get them to happen because we're stuck, I'm gonna say that's a wound. That's a hurt, that's a judgment, that's a pattern that we're locked in. And people want to be free from that. So let's get free from that.
SPEAKER_02Perfect. Let's get free from an ads. Jenny, thank you so much for being with us in the studio today. One more quick run through the title and how to find your book.
SPEAKER_01Freedom for Life, God's lasting, God's framework for lasting healing. It will be available on Amazon in April 2026.
