What You Think Is You… Isn’t

Season 2 of The Dragonfly Perspective goes beyond surface-level conversations and into the patterns, influences, and systems shaping how you think - often without you realising.

This season explores what sits underneath identity.

The survival responses that became personality.
The conditioning that became “normal.”
The influences that feel like your own thoughts….. but aren’t.

Through real, unfiltered conversations with guests who challenge perception, we unpack:

✨️ How fight, flight, freeze, and fawn patterns quietly run everyday life
✨️ Why people-pleasing, overthinking, and “being the strong one” are often survival strategies - not personality traits
✨️ How media, AI, and digital environments are shaping belief systems in real time
✨️ Why so many people feel disconnected from their own intuition - and how to rebuild that trust
✨️ The rise of subscription culture, and how people are shifting from ownership to access, identity, and lifestyle

This isn’t about giving you a new way to think.

It’s about helping you recognise what’s been shaping your thinking all along.

Because once you see the pattern, you get a choice.

To keep repeating it.
Or to step out of it.

New voices.

Deeper conversations.

No filters.

This is The Dragonfly Perspective - Season 2.

Hello and welcome to season two of the Dragonfly Perspective. This isn't a continuation of season one, it's actually an escalation. Because once you start seeing clearly, you can't go back to consuming life in the same way. This season we're going to be going deeper into some uncomfortable truths. The patterns, the conditioning, the quiet influences shaping how you think, choose, trust, and live. And I'm not doing it alone. I've brought in voices who don't just talk well, they see life differently. People who challenge the narratives, who question the systems, who've lived the shift from survival to awareness to freedom. Together we're going to be pulling apart what most people never stop to question. Survival patterns, the identity you didn't choose. We're going beyond fight, flight, freeze, fawn as concepts, and looking at how they quietly run entire lives. Why being the strong one is often just fight in disguise. How overthinking, procrastination, and perfectionism are rooted in freeze. Why people pleasing get rewarded, even when it's self-abandonment. How high functioning anxiety is often praised instead of understood. And the uncomfortable part with this, most people don't want to let these patterns go because they've built their identity around them. So who are you without that pattern? When we think about media, AI, and influence and the reality that you think is yours, we're not just talking about fake news here. We're unpacking how perception itself is being shaped. How algorithms don't just show you content, they train your beliefs. Why repetition creates truth even when something isn't true? How AI-generated content is blurring the line between real experience and manufactured reality. The subtle ways that headlines and language and visuals influence your nervous system before logic has had the chance to even kick in. Why people feel more certain than ever while being more influenced than ever? It's not about fear, it's about awareness. Because if you don't question what you're consuming, you'll start thinking it's you when it's not. We're going to talk about trust and why people don't believe themselves anymore. So many people say I don't trust my gut. But what if the issue isn't that your intuition is gone? It's that it's been overridden for years and years. How being told you're too sensitive disconnects you from your internal signals, why trauma responses get mistaken for intuition and vice versa, the role of external validation in slowly eroding your self-trust. How constant noise, content, opinions, advice, how all of that drowns out your own knowing. And why people freeze when making decisions, even really small ones. And the shift you'll find is learning how to recognize what's actually yours versus what's been conditioned into you. We're going to be going deep into subscription culture, the way people are now consuming life. It's a big one. Because we're no longer just buying things, we're buying into ways of living. We'll talk about why people are moving from ownership to access and what that says about priorities, the psychology of a monthly commitment versus a one-off decision. How subscriptions create consistency but can also create unconscious dependency? The shift from this is expensive to this is part of my lifestyle. Why communities, travel, content, and even identity are now being experienced through subscriptions. And the real question we'll be asking: are you choosing what you subscribe to, or are you subscribing without realizing what you're choosing? This season is not about giving you answers, it's about sharpening your awareness so you can see what's real, what's influencing you, what's a habit, and what's actually aligned for you. These conversations won't always be comfortable. They're not designed to be. They're designed to make you pause and notice what you've been running in autopilot for all these years. Because freedom doesn't come from doing more, it comes from seeing clearly. New guests, deeper conversations, no filters. This is the dragonfly perspective. And once you see it, you don't go back.
