Today I'm gonna deal with the law. The first five books of the Bible, the law. Are we under the law, the purpose of the law? Why was it given? Are we there now? When Jesus was making a statement, I didn't come to do away with the law. I come to fulfill the law. What was he saying? Well, let's get on in there. Now we're about to get into the law. First of all, let's get some understanding. In Galatians chapter three, verse 19, wherefore then service the law. It was added because of transgression till the seed that Jesus should come to whom the promise was made, and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Hold on now. Hold on. Let's flip on the first Timothy. One Timothy chapter one. Let's deal with verse eight and nine. We, we get it. We just starting that off the bat, writing heavy, but we know that the law is good if a man use it lawfully knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient. For the ungodly, for the sinners, for unholy and profane for murderers of fathers and murders of mothers for man slaves. Let me keep on going. Verse 10. For the homeowners, for them that the foul themselves with mankind. For men stealers for liars for a prejudice person. And if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessing God, which was committed to our trust, that's who the laws fall. Now let's get some understanding. See, because the law's not bad, but you gotta put yourself in a position that God has to teach us where we are. So he says you don't know who you are, so I gotta give you the law to show you the separation between me and you. Okay? That's the law. Now we gonna get deeper now because we gonna get some understanding now. So now let's deal with the purpose of the law. So in Galatians chapter three, verse 19 through 29, he's going to teach us the purpose. Y'all walk with me a little bit now. So let me teach you, lemme teach you a little bit about the word with some understanding. When it says well forth, then serves the law. It was added because of transgression to the seed. Jesus should come to whom the promise was made, and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now, a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Is the law then against the promise of God, God forbid. For if there be, if there had been a law given, which could have given life, listen to the word now. Ve righteousness should have been by the law. See, people couldn't become righteous because of the law. But lemme go ahead now. But the scripture has concluded all under sin. That the promise by faith in who Jesus Christ may be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we up under the law shut up unto the faith, which should afterward be revealed. Wherefore the law was our school master to bring us unto Christ. Oh, oh, that's the word now you, but to learn some things now that we might be justified by what Faith. See, if you didn't have the law, you don't know the beginning story. You don't know what you should be doing and what you should be doing. But once you start reading the law. Which is the word. Then you start learning God way of thinking. Then now we're talking now then we can understand the purpose of the law. So at 25 he says, but after Francis come, we are no longer under a school master. No longer under the law for ye are all the children of God. By what faith in who? Christ. Jesus. The word Christ is the same word as Messiah, just a Greek translation. For as many of you as have been into what Christ have put on Christ, whoa. Now we seeing the truth. So when I call the churches that I see, they put the 10 commanders up. I said, they under the law, my God, they still under the law. They're thinking they can fulfill. Thou shall not kill, thou, shall not steal, thou shall not bear a false witness. These are things that child of God with the spirit of God I know not to mess with my neighbor's wife. I know not to mess with my neighbor's stuff. I don't need somebody to tell me that. I know not to kill a man innocent. I understand that. Let me go on. Lemme go on now. 28. There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither bond nor free. There is neither May. Male nor female for a year, all one in Christ Jesus Messiah. And if you be Christ, then are you Abraham Seeds and is according to what promise, the purpose of the law. Now I'm going to, I'm gonna mess up with this, but I gotta take you here because this is what people use when they try to justify the law. Gotta understand now, just'cause you read something, don't make you understand it. In the book of Matthew chapter five, Matthew chapter five, verse 17 through 20, we are talking about Christ He, he's telling us what the law really is. And he says, think not that I am, which is God, I am. That I am come to destroy the law. Nor or the prophet stop. Let me, let me, lemme break this down to you, because people run right over that now. He says, think not that I am, come to destroy the law or the prophets. Why do you think he put prophets in there? See? This is called understanding the Scripture. He says, I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Now, if you take out the prophets, I can see how they jack that up, but because they put the prophets in there, you shouldn't have been able to jack that up because the law is the first five books of the Bible written by Moses. Now the depths of it is in Exodus 20 is when they talk about the 10 Commandments, but the depths of really understanding the law. Moses was born in Exodus, but yet he wrote about Genesis and he wasn't there. Why? Because God showed him what happened in Genesis. Now, why is this important? Because it tells us the story from the beginning so we can get an understanding of why this promise was sent to us through Abraham that see the first we talking about Jesus that promised child that must be born. So now we understand that he says, does Moses, what about Jesus the Messiah, the prophet that's gonna come? Oh, come on now we talking. We talking heavy stuff. Now. See, when somebody say they don't believe, they don't believe because. They don't read, they don't believe because they don't want to believe. But let's get right back into the word. Now. It says the destroying the law or the prophets. Well, the prophets is all the rest of the books we talking about, Isaiah. Jeremiah, Nehemiah, we talking about the, the Ezekiel, Daniel, all the minor prophets. We talking amo Haba, come on. All of those was prophesying about Jesus. You come on now. Be real. Now, why do you think I, when people say, when they talk about Messiah, I says, was he born in Bethlehem? What has to be? Was he a seed of Jesse? Has to be. See, these are lines that's drawn in the sand. Did he come from a virgin Mary? He has to be. Did he come through the line of David has to. These are things that you cannot avoid, but we talking about the purpose of the law. Why was it given to us? Well, he told you it is not a righteous man. And for those who are not righteous, the whole mongers, the liars, they're disobedient. The man slays the women's slays. That's who the laws are for. But let me go on now. So now that I just got you that, let take it back now because I want you to get, get ahold of what Jesus was saying then. Then people jack it up. Well, the law. Yeah. You don't know what you're talking about. See, you can say things, but if you say it to somebody who knows the word, it just makes you sound ignorant. So when JU was making a statement, he said, think not that. Don't come to destroy the law. All for profits. These are the things that's already been said for him. That's why he says, I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill everything that Jesus said he had to do, he did it. For I send unto you to heaven, watch this name. It has passed one joke or one. One lu shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled. He said everything that was said in my word must be accomplished. That's why I'm not shocked now. That this country and this world is in this condition that's in Now. Why The word already said it. We will be lovers of ourselves. We will have no power of godliness in the way we conduct ourselves. No morality. We we'll run to and forth trying to find knowledge but can't find it. What am I saying? That's why I vote Nancy whatsoever. Therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But whosoever shall do and teach them the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you. That accept your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and the Pharisees. You shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom is a position with God is righteousness, peace and joy. Don't miss that now. The kingdom of God is righteousness. Peace and joy. We as people, we don't walk around in no righteousness of God. We don't walk around in no peace. We don't walk around in no joy. So when you see somebody walk around in these three, I can promise you, you seen the kingdom. When I stepped into the kingdom, I could not believe how rare it was. Let me go on, let me say the word now. We just say the word now. So when people bring this scripture up, I said, Lord, they have no clue of what they're talking about. They have no clue of what they're talking about. Okay, let go. Lemme go. Lemme go. Lemme go. Let, let, let, let's keep going. Let's keep going. Let's, let's keep going. Let's go back to Galatians. Let's go back to Galatians. Uh, we, we done stepped in it down. We may as well just keep on going. We, we in, we, we are heavy now. So in Galatians chapter three, we're dealing with 19 now. Now we gonna get some understanding now because when you get understanding, everything start to make sense.'cause the word already told you it was a school master until something had to come though. We talk about Jesus. So now we talking the spiritual realm. The law was the physical, I gotta do this, this, this, and this and this. But now we're talking the spiritual. But it says, wherefore then that service the law. It was added because of transgression till the seed should come to whom the promise was made, and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now, a mediator is not a media of one, but God is one. Is the law then against the promise of God. God forbid for if there be, if there had been a law given, which could have given life very righteousness, should have been done, watch, listen by the law. But the S has concluded all under sin that the promise by faith in who Jesus Christ be given to them, that what? But before Faith came, we were kept under the law. Shut up unto the faith, which should afterward be revealed. Where for the law was our school master to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by what fifth? But after faith has come, we are no longer under a school master for Yeah. All the children of God by fifth and. Christ Jesus. I, I just gotta get you to get this now because if you get this, you understand why so many people struggle with the word of God. Why so many people struggle with life. For as many of you as have been B baptized into Christ, Messiah, have put on Christ Messiah. There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither bond nor free. There is neither male nor female for a year, all one in Christ, and if you be Christ, then are Abraham. See, according to, I needed to read that again because this is so powerful if you understand this. Now I know you're saying to yourself, I've never heard it. Put this way. Well get ready then get ready.'cause we ain't stopping there. We ain't stopping there. Because why? I want you to start realizing there is a deeper spiritual meaning. When you really stop to see it. Now, I know some people could say'cause they have said it. Well, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm under grace, so sin is not a big deal to me. Okay, not a problem. Let's deal with that. Now in Romans chapter seven, verse one through six, it said, no, you not, brethren, before I speak to them that know the law. How that the law has has dominion over a man as long as he lives. For a woman. Now what he is doing is give you an example he says is spiritual. You're not gonna understand. So let me explain it to you so you can understand. For the woman has had, a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband be dead, she is loose from the law of her husband. So then if while her husband lives, she is married to another, she shall be called an adulterous, but if her husband is dead, she is free from the law so that she is no adulterous though she be married to another man. Wherefore, my brethren, you also, I become dead to the law by the body of Christ that you should be married to another, even to him who is, who's raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruits of God. That's the love. The peace, the joy. These are characteristic of the Holy Spirit. Patience, godliness, goodness. These are things that God will give us as showing us we have the Holy Spirit. Faithfulness, self-control. You got to be kidding me. No, just the word. These are the fruits of God for when we were in the flesh. The motions of sin, which were by the law did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law that bring Dan, wherein we are held that we should serve in newness of spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. Now, I know you're saying to yourself, what is this thing they talking about? Indwelling sin, the problem of indwelling sin. Verse seven, we gonna keep going now he says. Why shall we say then is the law sin? God forbid, nay. I had not known sin, but by the law for, I had not known lust except the law had said, thou shall not covet, but sin. Taking occasion by the commandment. Rough in me all manner of circumstances, which is letting you know these things came about for without the law, sin was dead for, I was alive without the law once, but when the commandment came, Sentral vows and I died. And the commandments, which was ordained to life. I found to be unto death for sin, taking occasion by the commandment deceive me, and by it slug me, where for the Lord is holy and the commandment is holy and just and good. Wow. You got to be kidding me. But now. Let's deal with this battle. The battle of the flesh and the battle of the Spirit was then that, which is good, made dead unto me, God forbid, but sin that it might appear sin working death in me. By that which is good, that sin by the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. For, we know that the law is spiritual. Whoa. Lemme say that again. Now for, we know that the law is spiritual, but I am con sold under sin for that, which I do, I allow. Not for what I would that do, I do not. But what I hate that I do. If then I do that, which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good now, then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me who see that there's a, there's a transformation that must happen. Now I wanna get this part in because I think you need to hear this. See when you allow the spirit to start operating in you now, remember now you got Jesus told Nicodemus, you gotta be born of water in the Spirit. Well, the water is the word. That's a metaphor. He says, you gotta be born in the word. Well, if you don't know the word and you ain't gonna read the word, how you gonna be born in the spirit, it makes no sense. First of all, you gotta know Jesus. Through the word, not through what somebody said. And that's why most people are struggling because they are fighting and they don't have the spirit to work with them. They're trying to do that in their common mind, they common body and it's not go to work. Uh, sometime I just, I says, if you only understand. You gotta come after Christ through the word you don't miss and find Christ. You have to be deliberate. I'm just being real with you. See, when you are reading the word of God, let me, let me explain this so, so you can get a better understanding. All of these people who wrote these books, they're all from the children of Israel, all of'em. All of them. All of them. So you are trying to understand people who know the word. They know the word by misre is son of Commandments. They know the word. So whenever they get the glimpse of Christ, it's easy for them to fall in. To understand, because I know the word we, Gentiles. Don't know the word. Somebody gotta teach it to us. Oh, we gotta be born in a family or we gotta read it for ourself. I was brought in a family that went to church, but they didn't read the Bible, so that don't help me. I had to read it for myself. That's how I got to know Christ. That's how I got to know that Messiah was prophesied that he's gonna come. That's why the word Messiah is the exact same word, Christ. That's why I understand that the sword is the word. That's why I understand that the water is the word. That's why I understand that the dwelling spirit, that's why it moves me from my Conway of thinking into my spiritual way of living. I don't need nobody to tell me how to treat my wife. I get that through the spirit. I don't need nobody to tell me how to praise my kids. I get that through the spirit. Okay? Okay. Okay. Lemme tell. Lemme go. Lemme go. So you get a little more understanding. Now see, the law tells you thou shall not, thou shall not. Thou shal, not thou. Sh not. Okay. Got that. But if I don't read what thou shalt not, I don't get the word. If I don't get the word, how can I get to know Christ? How can I know him if I don't hear about him? When the eunuch is on, when the eunuch is, is, is, is, is going on, the chariot and Philip came up and the spirit tell him, go talk to him. He gave him an understanding of the word. That's why he could be baptized because he saw Jesus as per the scripture. He said, well, why can't I be baptized? I understand who Jesus is now, and I'm submitting to him, whoa, that's heavy. He is not just submitting to the baby Christ. He is submitting to Christ as I knew through the scripture. There are so many people that hate other races and they say they, they'll go to church and they'll say they love God. How can you love a God who love all of us, but yet your prejudice against another race. The word call'em tribes. Wow. We are talking about the purpose of the law. The law was made, but it was made so it could teach us about faith. It could teach us about the spirit of God. It can teach us the thing that we need to know so we can understand. Christ just happened to come on the scene. He was prophesied that he was gonna come hundreds if not thousands of years before he arrived. Tell me, day of God, tell me day of God. He says, I just want you to experience how it feels to be a God, the purpose of the law. I hope you enjoy hearing the word of God with just getting down and getting dirty in the law.
