Most people don't want to know the truth of the word of God. So what they do is they make it up as they go. But we want the truth, so we're gonna dig in and get some meat and get some understanding according to the word of God. See, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a colt, what message was he telling us? What was the story behind the story? It is not complicated. It is easy. Let's just deal with that right there. Let's go to the book of John 12:12-13. Book of John 12:12-13, that's our storyline. We'll probably go a little further, but that's the base Why? Because the story is Jesus riding on a colt in Jerusalem. In verse 12, it starts saying, "On the next day, much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and cried, 'Hosanna. Blessed is the king of Israel cometh in the name of the Lord.'" Ah, I want you to hear that now. See, when you start understanding just that little piece there, we get a better understanding of what transpired. Why was they saying hosanna? Most of you don't know this 'cause they're not Jewish. Hosanna means in the Hebrew language, saved now Save now. You gotta understand now, the children of Israel is being oppressed by the Romans. They fine military, and they're looking for a savior to stop the oppression. But it's even deeper than that. Why was they waving palm trees? You people do it, they say, on Easter Sunday. Why though? See, we try to figure out the scripture when the scripture is fig- hasn't been figured out itself. Let's just deal with why it's such a big deal. Let's go to Revelation 7:9. The Book of Revelation 7:9. You gotta go where it's mentioned of that object palm tree. In Revelation 7:9, it talks about, "After this, I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne," oh, we talking about the throne of God now, "and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands." Why did they have palms in their hands? Let's keep reading. "And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb." What was they talking about? Well, let's get a little more. "And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God." What were they saying? Saying, "Amen." Who is amen? That's Jesus' name. "Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen." Back again to Jesus' name. Revelation 3:14 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, "What are these which are arrayed in white robes, and whence came they?" Remember now, they wasn't always there. He's acknowledging where they come from so quickly And I said unto him, "Sir, thou knowest." And he said unto me, "These are they which came out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Now, I know you're saying to yourself now, "The white, the robes are white, but the blood is red." White represent holy. Let me keep on going. Let me keep on going. We're gonna get an understanding. Jesus riding on a colt in Jerusalem. "Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him," when? "Day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them." That's, that, that's Immanuel, God with us. "They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." Why are they crying? Now, let's go back to the story we left, because we're gonna get an understanding of the Word of God like never before, revelational knowledge. Now, why did Jesus ride through Jerusalem at that moment? Because Daniel said he would. Daniel prophesied when the Messiah will come through Jerusalem that was, th- was, th- was desolated, and now revived, and Jesus will come through Jerusalem. Now, why was he riding on a colt? Not a problem. Because in verse 14 and 15 it tells us that. "And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written." If the Word of God says it, it has to come true. "Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on a ass's colt." Now, a lot of people don't know this. I'm gonna give you a little bit of revelational knowledge. Jesus was sitting on a young colt that has never been ride before, but it wasn't just that colt there. That colt had to be a male colt- And that colt had to have a mother that it's still sucking from, which was there also. A lot of people don't know that, but that's all right. Then now you do know it was a mother, a mother ass there and the baby colt. Now, why did he ride on the colt and not the mother? Well, the mother is mature, and first of all, he usually don't ride in on a female anywhere because he's a king, and the king comes to the city acknowledging one of the two things: I'm coming in power or I'm coming in peace. The first coming was in peace, so he re- rides a male colt, not a full-grown horse. 'Cause if he come riding on a full-grown horse, he's coming in power. Okay, I know you're saying to yourself, "Well, can we go back and get this understanding of where this colt came from?" Not a problem. Go to Zechar- Zechariah nine nine. Oh, we gonna get some understanding today now. See, this is when you really, I, I'm not talking playing no more, you really wanna know the word of God. Because it's available, you just gotta search. In Zacharias 9:9, remember now, this is Old Testament now, why do you think it's gonna have that Jesus must ride on a colt? Well, rejoice greatly, oh daughter of Zion. Shout, oh daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, thy king cometh unto thee. He is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt of the foal of an ass. Wow. Look at the word. But we're not stopping there. We're going deeper. I know you're saying to yourself, "I have never heard it put to this level." There is no accident in the word of God. There's no accident in the world. Everything that happens, Jesus, the God with us, knows when, where, and how it must be accomplished. I know you're saying to yourself, "Well, can we go back and get a better understanding of what we're reading to we, so we can get a understanding of what was Jesus telling us in riding as the king into Jerusalem?" See, when you go to verse 16, it says, "These things understood not his disciples at the first." Well, there's a lot of people in America or throughout the world that have never heard this before. Why? It's revelational knowledge. It is something that God has held until this moment for us to be revealed this understanding. It says, "These things understood not his disciples at the," what? "First, but when Jesus was glorified," that means when he died. That word glorified means he must die for our sins. It's not glorified when other people die because we are missing them, but Jesus was glorified by his death. Then remembered they that these things were what? Written of who? Him. And that they had done these things unto him. Wow. See, here's the problem with the average person that calls believers. See, I'm not talking to people who are not believers. Why? They can't receive this. Why? They don't know nothing. They don't wanna know nothing, they don't know nothing, and they're not gonna know nothing. Why? Because this is called meat. He said, "This is not for the person who's trying to figure this out." This is for those who have figured it out, and it gives them that meat and that depth that they're looking for to feel more secure in the word. See, when I first learned that, I said, "Well, I don't understand why you won't give these to the non-believers." He said, "They won't receive it." This is spiritual food. The average person in flesh, they want their alcohol, they want their passion, they want the emotions. All of those will be filled. They're not trying to fill their cup of spiritual food. So in verse 17, it says, "The people therefore that was with him when they cried," watch this now. See, when they called Lazarus out of the grave. See, a lot of people don't understand that. "And raised him from the dead being wretched. For this cause, the people also met him that they heard that he had done this miracle." See, a lot of people run behind miracles. They don't really want God. They just want the miracle that he possessed. "The Pharisees therefore said among them-" Believe ye how ye perceive nothing? Behold, the world is going after him. This is why they had to kill him. Jesus was pulling such a multitude, he was taking away from their little service. He was taking from their carnal just worship of not understanding what they're worshiping. I know, I know you say to yourself, "Wow." See, if I ask the average person right now, who is the two disciples that went and got the coats and the ass? They don't have a clue It's in the word. It's in the word. They don't have a clue why. They don't read enough, and they don't read with understanding But the two was Peter and John. Jesus sent them to bring this ass. Why? Jesus knew he had to have a male colt to ride into Jerusalem. Why? It was written. He can't go against his word. I know you're saying to yourself, "Man." Daniel knew that this time was gonna come. Why? He saw it in the spirit. And when he saw it in the spirit, he asked for understanding. When do we ask for understanding? See, I, I, I ask for understanding 'cause I want to know the whole truth of the word of God. So when I bring revelation, the average person, they can't receive it if they want to. Why? Because first they gotta listen to him. Jesus says, "If they listen to me, they'll listen to you." In the book of Luke 10:16, "He that heareth you," he's talking about me now, heareth me. Jesus said, "If they listen to you, they'll listen to me, and he that despiseth you, despiseth me. And he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me." What was Jesus saying? You're connected to me. If they listen to you, they'll listen to me. If they listen to me, they'll listen to you. He says this thing works together. Wow. There are many people that's walking around don't want this. Why? It's truth. They don't want truth. Why? 'Cause truth mean you can't live in a lie. Okay, okay, stay with me now. Stay with me now. When we absorb the significance of Jesus riding on a colt in Jerusalem, we gotta understand He's later gonna come riding on a horse. And I know you're saying to yourself, "Oh, buddy, whoa. Jesus just gonna appear and," uh, well, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's lack of understanding. Remember the scripture now. He first ride on a colt, mean He's come in peace. He's come as a savior. The King has come, but as a savior. When He comes on a horse, He's a totally different being. He's coming in power. I know you're saying to yourself, "Um, no, I, I'm, actually I can't buy that now. That's too deep." Okay, let's go back to Word. Go to the Book of Revelation. Go to the Book of Revelation, chapter 11 And I saw who? Heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And he that sat upon him. Remember what kind of horse is it? It's a male. Why did you think the word of God is explicit in this point? Horse means grown, mature. Him means male. He's coming in now power. He that sat upon it now, watch this now. Upon him, remember that, that, that sat upon him was called faithful and true. Well, first of all, who's faithful and true? Well, we covered it earlier when he said amen. Amen is Jesus, faithful and true. I know some of y'all sitting here saying, "Whoa, buddy, I can't buy that. I've never heard that before." I knew you would say that. I, I just know you would say that. Not, not a problem, though. I would expect you to know it. It's not for you to know. I'm just being real now. It's not for you to know. But nonetheless, let's flip back. Hold that spot now. Let's flip back to the Book of Revelation chapter three. Let's drop down to verse 14. And unto the angel of the church of Laodicea write. Now, remember now, Jesus is speaking, who? To that church. Now, who's speaking comes next? These things saith the Amen, capital Amen, person name, that's Jesus. Now, what is his name? The faithful and true witness. Not you, not me. That's why his name is Amen. So when we say amen, we are saying Jesus is the true and faithful witness. He is that faithful and true witness about His word, the beginning of the creation of God. Now flip back, Revelation 19 now. Now, we, we, we're gonna get some understanding now. We gonna get some understanding. See, when I talk to people and people start telling me that they saw Jesus, so I ask the question. I say, "How did he look?" Remember now, you know how he looks through his word. But watch what it says in verse 12 of Revelation 19, "His eyes were as a flame of fire." Okay, fire, yellow, I got that. "And on his head were many crowns." Okay, I got that too. That's per- perfect sense, a king, crowns, they go together. "And he had a name written that no man knew but he himself." Wow. Okay. We're getting some understanding of Jesus now. But watch what it says in verse 13, "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God." Wow. You gotta be kidding me. His name was called the Word of God And the armies which were in heaven followed him. He's talking all those angels, and all of those people that have been worshiping him now are the host of heaven. They have been arrayed just like him. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and the wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written: King of Kings. He's the king, but we are kings. He is the Lord, and we are lords. And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourself together upon the supper of the great God, that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sat on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bound, both small and great." And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And he... You know, watch this. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that have received the mark of the beast. We're talking about the microchip now. And them that worship his image. Why? Because people like worshiping things they don't understand. These both were cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain and the sword of him that sat upon the horse, watch this now, which sword proceeded out of his mouth, and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. He said, "Here's all these flying birds. Go eat yourself full of all these people that don't follow me. All these people that did not choose or did not choose to follow the Lord thy God." He said, "Go ahead, eat yourself full." Why? Because Jesus, when he rode in on a colt in Jerusalem, he was acknowledging, "I am the one. I am the only, the Lord God Almighty" It's not complicated. We make it complicated. The word is not complicated to those that understand, but it still can be explained to those, those who don't have a clue. Wow, all of those things had to happen to show us, "My words must come true." Whether you understand it or not is irrelevant. He said, "My word must come true," and that's why he rode on a male colt with a female ass there. The word is so powerful. I, I look at people going through depression, and people who try to tell me they see angels, so I ask them the question, "How many angels are named?" They don't know. Three That's it. I don't know why people don't know this, but that's it. In the word of God, it's three, and most people don't have a clue. But anyway, we was dealing with the story for understanding Jesus says, "If they listen to you, they'll listen to me. If they despise you, they despise me." We talking relationship. That's the problem with the average believer. They say they love God, but they hate their brothers and sisters. We hate people because, wow I'll never, ever, never not love the word of God because that's where life is and that's where people problem is. They don't wanna read the word of God for themselves. They love when a man tell them or a woman tell them what it says and they don't read. So now you have no confirmation 'cause you don't know nothing. I hope you enjoy hearing the word of God. We talking about Jesus riding on a colt in Jerusalem.
