When we talk about the word of God, we're gonna deal with something that is gonna literally blow your mind. See, Jesus told us he's the light of the world, but we're gonna deal with that phrase, 'cause that's the topic, the light of the world, in John 8:12 Jesus is speaking now. He said, "Then spoke Jesus again unto them." What is he saying? He want us to understand something that's very powerful. "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light," watch this now, "of life." What was he telling us? Well, first of all, for many years, I thought he's talking about illuminating. He is talking about illuminating, but not light. He is talking about the revelation of the mysteries of God. So when he's making this statement, he said, "I'm the only one That really know the word Wow. So this is why his disciples not teaching when Jesus is talking. Then Jesus says something that we gotta get because he says, "You're the light of the world." Why was he saying that? Well, in Matthew five, verse 14 through 16. See, now we're getting some understanding, the light of the world. What does this really mean? So in the book of Matthew, chapter five, we're dealing with verse 14 through 16. Now, everything you have heard before, I want you to put it aside just for a second and hear what thus says the Lord. Because in verse 14, he says, "You are the light of the world." Now, remember now, when Jesus was here, he's that true light. Now he's teaching us, okay, now you're the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. He's just giving us a parable. Neither do men light a candle or put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it gives light unto all that are in the house. He's talking about revelation. He said, "When you get revelation of my word, give it to everybody that's there." Let your light so shine, what? Before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Oh, we're dealing with this now. So now, when the Lord came to me in a vision, I'm gonna be hon- I didn't understand it. But in the book of Numbers, chapter 12, verse 16, he tell you, say, "Hear now my words. If there be a prophet among you, I," what? "The Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and I will speak unto him in a dream." So the Lord was showing me way back then, I got a special plan for you, but now let's deal with what he's showing me now. The word light, the Hebrew word for light is spiritual illumination and truth. So he says, he told his disciples, "I'm gonna give you a revelation of the word that people are not gonna get. I'm gonna give you an understanding of my word that is the mysteries that you'll get, but they don't get." I know you're saying to yourself, "Come on." Well, let's go into it now. In the book of John, chapter one, verse four and five. John chapter one, verse four and five Oh, we talking about the word now and the light of the world. He said, "I'm gonna show you things in my word that the average person is never gonna see." He said, "In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth," where? "In darkness, and darkness has comprehended not." The world, this word, the darkness, is Jesus is illuminating us. That mean I'm gonna see things in the word that most people ain't gonna see. But what is it for? It's so you can live a full life. B- what he said earlier is the light of life, of life. You'll be able to understand and walk in a righteousness that most people don't even begin to think about or understand. I know you're saying to yourself, "Come on." Yes, stand by, because watch this. I know you, you, you, you, you... I know you th- you think sometimes, because I had to, I said, "Well, Lord, why are you showing me all of these mysteries, and you're not showing the whole world?" He said, "It was never meant for them to get it. It was meant for you to get it, because you're the one I called." Okay. Go to the Book of Psalms, Psalms 119. In Psalms 119- Ver- I mean, yeah, verse 105. He, he's gonna take us some place now. He's taking us some place Now watch what the Word of God tells us Thy word, who? Thy word, what? Is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. There you go now. He's teaching us out of the word now, out of Psalm. He says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to, unto my path." The reason I'm blessed the way I am is because of his word. Why? It was a prophecy that he's accomplishing through my life. Okay, hold on now. I'm gonna take you deeper than that now. You see, because now we're war- we're warming up now. We're warming up. So things that you've heard before, you'll get a better understanding. Mark 4, Mark 4. In Mark 4:21-25 He's talking about the parable of a candle putting in a bushel. But watch what it says when you really start to dissect this, th- this parable. "And he said unto them, 'Is a candle brought to be under a bushel, or under a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hid." All of these mysteries in the Word of God, he said, "There's nothing hid which shall not be manifest." He said, "A revelation's coming, but up till this point, I haven't released it." Now it's being released to who? His holy apostles and prophets. Eph- in the Book of Ephesians, it tells you that. But watch what it says. "Neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad." He said, "Yes, it was a secret, but it's gonna c- be released. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.' And he said unto them, 'Take heed what you hear.'" Now watch this now. Don't miss that now. It said, "Take heed to what you hear." Because everybody's not gonna get the revelation at the same time. He said, "Pay attention to what the Word says." With what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you, and unto you that hear shall more be given. All he's showing you now is revelational knowledge. The more you keep seeking, the more I'm gonna keep giving to you. Oh, man. For he that hath, to him shall be given. And he that has not, from him shall be taken away even what he hath. Oh. He said there are some people who got some knowledge, don't worry about that, I'm gonna take that away from them Why though? I know, I know you're saying to yourself, "Why?" Because this is how wonderful God is. He says, "Everybody gotta understand I got a plan, and I must fulfill my plan." I know you're saying to yourself, "Oh, man. Ca- ca- can I understand a little more of what you're trying to teach me?" Go to the Book of Matthew, Matthew 13. The Book of Matthew chapter 13. We're dealing with verse 18 through 23. What is he doing? Jesus is gonna explain the parable of the sower. Why? Because he says, "If you don't understand this, how can you understand any parable?" Ooh. But he goes on and explain. He said, "Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When anyone," now watch this now, 'cause this, this is how powerful it is, because we're about to get down in the nitty-gritty now. It says, "When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not," we talk about the Kingdom of God now. He said, "You hear it, and don't understand it, then cometh the wicked one," we talk about the devil now, "and catch, and, and he catcheth away that which was sown in his heart." He said, "The devil can't let you hold onto that. This is he which received seed by the wayside." Pretty simple. He, he make it simple. But then he goes, and he goes a little deeper. "But he that receiveth the seed into stony place, the same is he that heareth the word," about what? The kingdom, "and annoyed with joy receiveth it. Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while. And when tribulation come," why? "Or persecution come," why? "Ariseth because of the word." Whenever you digging into this word, persecution and tribulation is coming. "By and by he is offended." Why you think Jesus keep telling, "Don't get offended. Don't get offended"? Because offense pulls you from God. "He also that receiveth seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word." We're talking what word? The Kingdom of God, "and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word. And he becometh," what? "Unfruitful." Why? "But he that receiveth seed-" Into the good ground is he that hears the word and understandeth it. We talk about the kingdom now, not just the word, the word of the kingdom of God, which also bears fruit. We talk about the character of God, and bringeth forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Now, here's a revelation about these character traits of God. When they get the Holy Spirit, some 30. Why? Some gotta grow, it's growing into them. Some might not get no, no bigger than 30, 30% or 30 characteristic of what the Holy Spirit are. But nonetheless, they got it. Some will get 60. That's double 30. They don't get the full, but yet they still got the Holy Spirit, and others will get a hundredfold. Why? It allow all of the fruits of the characteristic of God to operate in them. Why do we need to know this? Not a problem. Matthew 13:11. Jesus answered, now He answered and said unto them, "Because it is given" unto who? His disciple. "Unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given." Who's them? The Pharisees, Sadducees, the scribes, the religious people. He said, "I had no intention of ever giving it to them. I give it because I des- I want order, so I give it to certain people, and when they listen to those people, they get to get what I want to give them." Wow. The light of the world is for those people who are listening to God's people that He chosen. Now, I know some people are scratching their head and it's like, come on. Why do you think I understand the mysteries of Jesus' ministry being three and a half years, 42 months? Why He's the 42nd person in a genealogy from Abraham to the Messiah? Why do I know that Christ and Messiah is the exact same word, different translation, in the Greek, Greek translation? Why do I understand that the three patriarchs represent the number three of Jesus being in the grave three days and three nights, like Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights? Why do I understand that the three patriarchs is buried in a grave, just like when Jesus was born, He was born in a cave, and when He died, He was put back in a cave? Why Jo- why Jo- man. All of these people, why they do certain things, because God had to make sure these mysteries was hidden. That's why the Book of Isaiah, it says, "Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard the thing that the Lord have in store for those who love." He said, "I have put mysteries that they'll see and they'll understand that my word is true." Why though? Let me tell you why He knew there would be all these different religions. He knew that men love following men. He knew about all of these people who are claiming to hear from God. He says, "I know who hears from me, and I also know who's, who's actually the children of the devil." I though, because he said, "Every word that has been written, I will fulfill it." See, we always can understand light, but how many people understood that the light was illuminating of the word? Jesus says, "You, by reading the Old Testament, you believe you, you, you sealed in heaven." He said, "But you know what it was really about? Me." Now, here's the beautiful part when people really break down. He said, "Search the scriptures. It's about me. All of it is about me." He says, "Search the scriptures." Now, watch this, because people heard it, but they don't really absorb what he said. He said, "The prophets, who did they prophesy about? Me." Song. Who is it about? Me The law, who was it about? Me Now, here's the part that most people miss in understanding this Proverbs is not about revelation of Jesus. Nowhere in Proverbs is it about revelation of Jesus. It speaks of God, it speaks of wisdom, it speaks of understanding, but nowhere in Proverbs is it about the revelation of Jesus. Why? Aha. Because Proverbs is teaching us the understanding of the wisdom of God if you got the Holy Spirit. Proverbs starts out with, "Fear the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." Why? Because fear is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Now, I know you're saying to yourself, "Whoa, where did that come from?" Well, first of all, most church people don't even know the seven spirits of God. So you, if you say you have the Holy Spirit, everybody always talk about speaking in tongues. Yeah, yeah, yeah, got it. It's a gift, but what are the seven spirits of God? They don't know. Why? Because it's gotta be revealed. They know it's in the Book of Revelation, but they don't understand it. So because they don't understand it, how can it operate? temple. Jesus operated in all seven spirits of God. Now I know you're saying to yourself, "Whoa, calm down now. Where you coming from? We talking about the light of the world." He says, "And my job is to reveal things to you that you've never heard before. My job is to reveal things that's the wisdom of God." Why? Because that's His truth. I know you're saying to yourself, "Hold up now, you, you, you, you sure got me with this seven spirits of God. Take me there. Take me there." Not a problem. Go to Book of Isaiah. Go to Book of Isaiah chapter 11 Everything is done in a certain way for a certain reason. Why? Because it's hidden. So when I start reading Isaiah 11 in verse one, and he says, "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his, his roots." See, that, that's simple, right? Everybody heard that story, but here comes the revelation. "And the spirit of the Lord," that's one. The Spirit of the Lord, that's the Holy Spirit. That's one. That's one gift. Holy Spirit is Holy Spirit, but there are gifts of the Holy Spirit. But then it goes on, "Shall rest upon him," okay, we got that. The spirit of what? Wisdom. That's two. The spirit of wisdom. Jesus operated in him. That's how he know a lot of things he knew. The spirit of understanding, that's three. He understands the Word because he is the Word. The spirit of counsel, that's four. That's how he can talk to people whether they're religious or not. When Nicodemus came to talk to Jesus, he was talking to him through the spirit of counsel. He was giving him revelation through the spirit of wisdom, and he was giving him understanding through the spirit of understanding. Let me keep on going. The spirit of might. When he's healing all those people, he's operating in dunamis, which is the power of miracles. That's the Spirit of God. Then he was talking, then he talks about the spirit of knowledge, and knowledge is the Word of God explained so you can understand. So when I tell, when I ask a person, I says, "Why do you say 'amen'?" And they say, "Well, 'cause I agree." Well, first of all, God don't care if you agree with his word. That's irrelevant. We talking knowledge now. Knowledge is God. We talking Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Emmanuel. His name is Amen I know you're saying to yourself, "Wow. W- what do you think it was about?" So He agrees with the words. He is the faithful and the true witness, not me and you. The Lord never asked a human being, "Help me write my law." See, when you're talking kingdom, kingdom is a king who writes a decree which makes it a law. In America, we operate a democracy. We the people write our laws to conform with what we want. Not in a kingdom. People don't have a choice in a kingdom. The king makes the decree, and the people gotta follow it. Let me keep on going, let me keep on going. But the last one is the spirit of the fear of the Lord. Now, I know you're saying, "How did I miss that?" You didn't miss it. You wasn't given to, it wasn't given to you. It was given to His holy apostles and His prophets. Nothing have changed. It does not matter how many time has passed, He still chooses His disciples. He still chooses His apostles. I know you're saying to yourself, "Man, can I get some more of that knowledge you was talking about right there? 'Cause that is some good stuff." Well, not a problem. I'll g- give you one, I'll give you one more. I'll give you one more. Uh, understand this now. Understand this. Jesus teach the disciples, right? Well, Jesus was never a disciple. Don't get me wrong now, because Jesus never needed to be taught. Why, who teaches God? Now, if you ready for the revelation, Jesus call his disciples apostles. Now, I know you ask yourself the question somehow in your mind, "Well, Jesus, if you are teaching, and there was your disciples, how did you make them an apostle? Did you have some type of ceremony?" Because le- le- let me, let me flip it, let me flip it a little bit because, so you can get a great understanding. Joseph, Jesus' father, stepfather, if you wanna look at it that way, he was a carpenter. When Jesus came up, he automatically became a carpenter like his father. Don't that make sense? I'll teach you what I know. Well, Jesus really didn't need to be taught, but y- you know, most people don't even understand why wasn't he a shepherd, because he is a shepherd of human beings, and that's why he called us sheep. He was a shepherd, but he has to be a carpenter because he's building his kingdom with his words. Okay, so, so now watch this now. But he made the disciples an apostle. Now, you'll ask yourself the question, "Well, I thought he makes people who we are." Well, let's go to the word. In the Book of Hebrews 3:1, and he start to, and he talk about, "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakes of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and the high priest of our profession, Christ Jesus." Jesus is the key apostle. That's how he can make the disciples apostles. Now, watch this, because this is where people missing at. He's also our high priest. That's why he make us his priests. He said, "I'm Lord of lords, and I'm King of kings." He meant for us to operate in royalty, in authority, but our problem is we never knew what we lost. So when Adam fall, he only giving us back what Adam lost. Adam lost what? Dominion. He had authority in the Garden of Eden, and when he fall, he lost it. So what did Jesus come back to do? Restore. Wow See, a lot of people believe when they die, they're going to heaven. Some will, but most of us won't. And if we do go, we're not gonna stay there. Why? Because it was never intended for man to stay in heaven. It's intended to man to operate on the earth. So when we are b- when we are resurrected, guess where we're going? Back to Earth. Why? Because this is where God is coming. He's gonna operate in Jerusalem, and we're gonna operate on the Earth. Y'all ain't ready to hear this. Y'all ain't talk... We talking about the light of the world. We talking about revelational knowledge and the mysteries of God. Life, you know, for, for many years I used to wonder, "Lord, what is this, we're the light of the world? How, how we shining? What is this shining thing?" He says, "But when you get the revelation to understand, it's the mysteries in the word." He says, "I've hid it for you so you can tell my people, 'Don't hide under bushel. Get up on top of the house and let them know who I am. Let them know that my word is true. Let them know how you walk in holiness. Let them know how you walk in reverence of me. Let them know how much joy you got in this world because I've given it to you.'" He said, "The more you pour out, the more I pour into you." When I look at people, I'm like, y'all are living miserable because you have no revelational knowledge. I had somebody a- told me, he says, um, "Man, I, I wanna go to church where the manna keep falling." I said, "Do you really know what manna means?" And he said, "Yeah, the glory, the bread from heaven." Said, "Manna does not mean bread from heaven. Manna is the children of Israel telling God, 'What is it?'" God never said anything about manna. He said, "I'll give you bread from heaven," because it was showing us, I'll feed you now with the bread from heaven because later on I'm gonna send Jesus Christ, the bread from heaven. Wow. Come on now. That's the God we serve. We sit around and we talk of things we know nothing of. He never said nothing about manna. Man called it manna, and that means, "What is it?" I told you it was bread from heaven. That's why people have a problem with Jesus. Well, who's he? He's our savior and our king. He's Emmanuel, God with us. I hope you enjoy hearing the word. We talking about the light of the world, the mysteries and revelation of the word. I used to always sit around in church and be like, "Is this it? You gotta be serious. It's gotta be more than this." And I'm here to tell you it is a lot more, but most people, they don't want God, they just want religion.
