Many times I used to ask myself the question, "Why can't people see what I see? Why can't people live according to the word?" Oh, we gonna get some truth today now, some truth today. Why most believers can't be free from sin. Why they don't have no joy. Why don't they be kind? Why can't they live according to God's plan? We got a message today. The message is the truth will set you free. What is this truth? Set you free from what? I preached this message December 11, 2025, and now I'm about to preach it again with a little more deep concept understanding in place to go. See, I woke up this morning, and it was rough! It was rough Every time I see pain, I know that's not a part of God's plan. Oh, we gonna get in the word. The truth will set you free. What is this truth? And what are you gonna be set free from? Well, in John 8:30-33, where he says, "As he," watch, watch this now, "he speak these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to these Jews which believed on him, 'If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.'" That's the title, The Truth Will Make You Free. But it goes on a little deeper. "They answered him, 'We are of Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man.'" Watch what he says now. "'How suggest you, you shall be free?'" And I used to hear that, I used to listen, I used to try to dig in deep, but, mm, I didn't get a full understanding That truth is the Holy Spirit. I know you're saying to yourself, "Where you getting that from, Pastor?" Well, that's scripture. I'll give that to you later. But I woke up this morning back to I wasn't feeling that good. I, I feel like I was having a cold. My eye was hurting. I had a bump under my eyelid, and it was hurting for the last eight hours, and I s- I finally said, "You know what? I had enough of this." And I got up about 2:30, 3:00, and I was just laying there, and I said, "Okay, Lord, heal this." Heal this I didn't wanna be in this pain no more, and I know the spirit that's in me is gonna cure it. And as I'm sitting there and I'm praying and I'm... The head- the eye pain went away, the sinus went away. This is his word. He says, "I will cure all your disease." That also means, "I will lead you in the truth and take you away from sin." This is why it's hard for a lot of people today that goes to church to change from their behavior. Why? Yeah, you ain't gonna just change 'cause you say, "I wanna change." You didn't get there overnight. I know you're saying, "Come on now." The truth will set you free. I was telling somebody yesterday, I says, "I don't know the last I sinned or even think about sin." Why? Because the spirit that's in me stops me from thinking how I used to think. Why? Because that spirit has changed the way I look at life and how I feel about me. I know everybody can't take that. That's like, I understand it and it makes perfect sense. If you don't know how to be a king, how you can walk in it? When you know, then it changes. Oh, let me go deeper, let me go deeper. In the Book of Romans chapter eight, verse one and two, New American Standard Bible, "There is, there is therefore now no condemnation," what? "None to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk," not after what? "The flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death." This is why people continue sinning. They are still under the law, which is their natural nature. I know you're saying to yourself, "But Pastor, how do you keep coming with this thing called the truth will set you free and telling me the truth is the Holy Spirit?" I got you. In the Book of John, chapter 15, verse 26, New American Standard Bible, "When the helper comes," the helper comes, the helper comes, "who I will send to you," from who? The Father Oh, let me say that again now. When the helper comes, it's supposed to help you in this thing called life. And from the Father, namely the Spirit of truth, who comes from the Father, he will testify about me. That's the helper. The truth is the Spirit of God. In John 16 verse 13, "But when he comes," we talk about the Spirit of truth comes, "he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own, but whatever he hears, he will speak. And he will guide you, he will disclose to you what is to come." This is why that Spirit of God, the Spirit from the Father, is a he in reference terms. It's a he, it's not a she, and it's teaching you and hearing from God and talking to you about what God is saying. And the powerful part about the revelation is I know God is speaking to me because he speaks to me through the Holy Spirit. So this morning was God speaking in heaven, telling the Holy Spirit to tell me, "Yeah, I'm gonna heal him right now." That's what the Spirit of God does. That is the Spirit of truth. This is why the average person will be stuck in sin and they can't change because you can't just decide and change. And that is the Spirit of truth. And when that comes, then you will be free from your old way of thinking, from your old way of living, and then you will live like a kingly-- like a king and a priest. Like Jesus says, "I'm the King of kings." He's a king, but we are kings. "And I'm the Lord of lords," and we are lords, and that is his word
