In this episode, Janice, Lauren and Nikki have a casual conversation about the complexities of supporting talented yet controversial celebrities. They debate whether it is possible to separate the art from the artist, citing figures like Chris Brown, Kanye West, and R. Kelly as primary examples. The dialogue transitions into a discussion regarding upcoming musical biopics, specifically focusing on the new Michael Jackson film and its reception by his daughter, Paris Jackson. They compare the legacy of the Jackson family to other musical dynasties like the Beach Boys while reminiscing about nostalgic media like the miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream. Janice, Lauren and Nikki also touch on the Beatles’ upcoming film project and the high expectations fans hold for high-budget biographical productions.

Enjoy!

SPEAKER_01

Hey everyone, welcome to the Voice Notes Podcast. I am Janice, your host, and with me are my co-hosts and besties, Lauren and Nikki. Each week, we bring you a relaxed chat with different takes on music, entertainment, fitness, and just all around life.

SPEAKER_03

So whether you're driving, you're at work, you're at the gym, or just lounging, let's get into it. Somebody got it right this year. With the lineup. Yeah, it's a pretty cool lineup. Where is it? I'm in California, right? California, California. India. Indio Valley. Yeah, so you gotta fly into um you fly into LAX. I guess you can fly into Palm Springs too. And then you drive into the desert.

SPEAKER_01

Shout out to security, man. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Because she's a mass of people.

SPEAKER_02

She's all the different stages. Yeah, yeah. All the different stages. Noga Ares was on a really small stage. They have to have that right.

SPEAKER_03

You know, they got snipers anywhere. They do. You probably don't even see them. Yeah, for sure. And it's it is very um. I would say, like, if if you were, and people maybe will argue with this with me, on the level of festivals, it's probably like a senior level festival because the crush of people at the main stage um was intense. Like the and because it is general admission and the whole thing. I saw mosh pits and everything. I was like, oh yeah. It was actually true. I said the same thing. I wish I would have done one in my 20s, but I don't think I could do one now.

SPEAKER_01

Those things are scary.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'll be in ICU.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, actually, for Evanescence concert, I think um when I was trying to get tickets, they did not sell any of that front. So I wonder if they're going to have seats out.

SPEAKER_03

I wonder if they're gonna do that. Can you even take the seats out there? Yeah, they can. It depends on the menu. Yeah, so the whole front, right? Right in front of the stage. Are we in PNC? PNC. Yeah. I could not get tickets there. Oh, tickets were around it and up. They'll probably take the PNCR center. Yeah, they'll probably take the seats out towards the bottom. Yeah, they could. I cannot wait. When is the show? June. She just dropped her single yesterday, which is fantastic.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was up, I was waiting. I was up reading, and I like got it at midnight. I can't wait for her album. Have you been sleeping? Good lord. I cannot wait. I cannot wait. No, I'm gonna tell you like some pride this week is gonna hit me. I'm gonna be like sleep for two days.

SPEAKER_03

Like, I'm walking back also.

SPEAKER_02

It's gonna catch up to me, yeah. So coach. I've been watching a lot of it. Huh? You've been watching a lot of it, it looks like. Sounds like the YouTube. Oh yeah. Yeah, I catch up on it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What I love about YouTube is that you could go to what you really want to watch. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'll click on it like with 54 Ultra. I was like, who is this guy? So then I go to Instagram and I look him up and I say, Oh, he looks like Benson Boone. And then I was like, but he was just so entertaining. Oh good. I'm glad you enjoyed it. So I enjoyed it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But the Beebs. The Beebs. He did. He was excellent. Yeah, he was excellent. Oh wait, and I'm not, you know, I'm not a huge fan of his, but guaranteed music. His music is gonna probably stream. It's gonna probably be number one. So this one, and I still like his last album.

SPEAKER_02

I like a lot of songs on his last album. I do like it too. I feel like it's I feel it's like it's like more mature, like more subdued, and like just real and you know. Yeah, like I like I like I like it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. The um over under is that he's going to tour. They keep saying, they keep saying this like Coachella is the kickoff because I you know wants to see like if he tests the audience. Yeah, I know I know somebody else who was like yes, Kayla was like to get to get tour. Oh, she's gone. Yeah, Becca's. I'm sure Becca will be there too.

SPEAKER_01

But speaking of tours, we could just see Chris Brown and Usher. I know we talked about it. Yeah, we talked about that. Would you go? Would you go? Usher and Usher and Chris Brown.

SPEAKER_03

I am not in the queue. No.

SPEAKER_02

Um I saw Usher open up for Janet, um, like I was selling Jesus. Yeah, that was a while ago. Yeah. Um and it was phenomenal. Um, but I have no desire to see Chris Brown in clubs.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know? I just realized that I'm being very hypocritical because here I am saying Serena Carpenter shouldn't be so sexualized. Oh, but Chris Brown is sexualized times 1000.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm here like, I'll see you.

SPEAKER_02

You're allowed, Jay.

SPEAKER_03

You're so hypocritical. Yes. At least I admit it. At least you're honest.

SPEAKER_02

We're very transparent people here.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Double standards. Like I said, I wouldn't. We are allowed.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly. We don't objectify women, but a mention.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, exactly. What else, Henry Cavill? Like we always say, we don't body shade. Yeah, Henry Cavill, you can read me the dictionary.

SPEAKER_03

I thought somebody messaged me about Henry Cavill because I had posted something on my story, and I was like, he could mansplain anything to me. I would be okay. What? Stop. I would not pay to see Chris Brown and or Usher. Yeah. So I do like a few of his songs. Um I have a lot of my own theories on him. I'm not in the cue for that. Yeah. Um he are we going if it's free? You'd come with me. I would go if it's free. I'll go with I'll go if it's free. If it's free, yeah. And it's like a Wednesday. Like I'm not giving up a Saturday. Laura's like, I'm not giving up a Saturday or a weekend. No, not in the summer, no. And it has to be like maybe in the winter. Listen, he he was uh uh uh Chris Brown was by himself last year, I think, or maybe two years ago.

SPEAKER_01

And I would catch clips, of course, on Instagram or whatever. Some I'll be like, oh my god, I don't know, I can't be there. But then others, I was like, yes!

SPEAKER_03

I was like, oh my god, that's a banger! Like, yeah, he's so talented. I think he's so talented. He is talented. Yes, do you think Dan is ultra manipulative though? I think that he is one of those people who unfortunately knows he's very handsome and knows he's very cute. Yeah. Um and he he is very talented.

SPEAKER_01

And you know he went through his uh era with we we won't forget that. Yeah, I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_03

That's part of the reason why where I'm just like I don't I don't know what happened. Like, yeah, although there was an SPU episode. Do you remember that one? Yeah, that was a good one. That was a great one. Yep, and they even and then he ripped from the headlines. It was Megan Good. Megan Good was in it. Megan Good. And then he was with Oh no, that wasn't the one with Megan Good one. Megan Good was the one with um that was another main one. This was the one where they it was at the end they were on a boat or something, and they used the name, it was very close to Cruci Chan, because remember he was with Cruci Chan after, and it was like Scartucci Lamb or something. They they changed it only slightly so that you got the point that it was his story. Yeah. But I do think in celebrity there is a huge measure of uh anyway. In celebrity, there's a measure of people stop emotionally maturing when they get famous. That's something that's very well documented. It is, and it's almost the equivalent of uh mental maturity when someone starts using drugs, they stop mentally maturing. So there's been a lot of comparisons between the two. And I think that like that relationship, two really beautiful people that do not belong together, that did not belong together, yeah, but that is still there. Yeah, and whatever happened, however went down, but he still has a massive fan base. And he does gonna, he's gonna travel and he's gonna do his thing. So he does. So where are they gonna be?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I haven't seen that yet.

SPEAKER_03

I just saw like Usher also have a residency in Vegas, but I think it's over. And who's who's opening for who in that scenario?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they just when the clip came out, just came out Friday, because you know every all the releases come out on Friday. It was just him and Usher and Chris Brown together, and they were just like, let's do this. Okay. So I don't know. So I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know who's maybe like when Jay-Z and Kanye did uh The Throne. Remember, and it wasn't like it wasn't opening, it was like just joint. Oh, yeah. They just came on stage together, we went back from there friends.

SPEAKER_01

But can we talk about Kanye since you mentioned Kanye?

SPEAKER_03

I mean, it was all over in London. It was all over the media in London. Was it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, he's not allowed in the UK.

SPEAKER_03

He's not in the UK.

SPEAKER_01

They pulled out, Pepsi pulled out, and he was just not allowed to do it. Who pulled out? Pepsi. Pepsi. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

He was a sponsor, they were uh but his so-fi concert, like I watched a lot of it. How was it?

SPEAKER_01

You can't knock his talent.

SPEAKER_03

No, it never did, never did you can't knock it outsoever. However, however, Brosa.

SPEAKER_01

Listen, it goes into look, Chris Brown was.

SPEAKER_03

I'm still listening to College Jockey. Absolutely. I'm still listening to College Jockey. Excuse me. Can we just talk about the first album? He was on mixtapes when we were like in high school. That's what I'm listening to. Yeah, after that, I I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

After his mom died, but you talk, we go into this whole thing about these artists and what they've done in the past and whether they're forgiven or not forgiven, right? So you look at Chris Brown, he has a huge fan base. Yeah, he was abusive with Rihanna. We'll never we'll never forget that. We don't excuse it. But this was the conversation I was having last night with the fam because we're like, at what point do you separate that person that person as he is versus versus?

SPEAKER_03

Well, we thought this with R. Kelly way back then. Like, what do you do?

SPEAKER_01

Like one of the first times we got together, like throw on an R. Kelly song and be bumping.

SPEAKER_03

It's just it's just a thing. It's and to each his own, right? But there's a lot of people that we listen to that they have that's exactly what it's said.

SPEAKER_01

They finished it.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. They have very questionable, you know, um. When we don't know what we don't know, yeah, very questionable activities in their lives. Exactly. Known and unknown.

SPEAKER_03

Right. Yeah. So but yet here we are. But we listen to them. You have to separate oftentimes the artist from the art from the art, the art. Um, because you will go into a rabbit hole and you won't send anybody. And you're like, probably not even a jazz song. And no words. Oh my god, exactly. You never know what this Philomious monk is doing. Nobody cares. He's a godfather of jazz music.

SPEAKER_02

Like, you know, I'm gonna listen to the you know. Go back to Rachel. Look at all that.

SPEAKER_03

Ray Chance was a womanizer, and that's what we're worried about. So it's like, so I get it, but anti-semitism, I get it. I I don't know what to say about it. My thing is I'm talking about Kanye and music. That's it. And when I see him performing, he's a genius. He's synesthesia. Lyrically, when he brought Lauren Hill, I was like, Yes, I was it was so so good. She's left the center too. But am I gonna see her in a concert? Absolutely. Absolutely. I would definitely see her there. Do I definitely go to a concert and know that she's going to be eight hours late? Probably. I'm like, but I'm gonna go see her. Yeah. She was, she was so late for the concert in New York at the Prue Center. It was a prudential. People went home. Prudential. Yeah. She came out like I saw her at when it was Garden State Art Center.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. Lauren Hill, um, Slickrick. Oh, yeah. Um was that Miss Education? Lauren Hill, that's for yeah. Oh, that's the album.

SPEAKER_03

Best album. Yeah. I can't speak about that album. I mean, you talk about not skipping the song. Oh, not skipping a song. Yeah, there's no shit. Incredible, incredible. Even the even the little um bits between. Yes, exactly. In the classroom with the kids. Talking about love, what's love? Yeah. You hear that? Love that teacher. What's love? I know. Ah, he got nice sneakers. And I love this.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, so good.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, like we just I mean, we gotta separate it.

SPEAKER_02

Because I love it.

SPEAKER_03

You like it, you love it, enjoy it. Yeah, if you don't, keep it moving. Yeah. Mind your business. That's it. Keep it moving.

SPEAKER_02

If you if you love it, I like it.

SPEAKER_03

And like we said, last you love it, I like it. It is not for me. It's not mandatory to buy the tickets. It is a voluntary ticket. You don't have to go.

SPEAKER_00

You don't have to, you don't have to be in the queue. You don't have to get the tickets, and you don't have to go. Keep girls, keep me to go. If that's not for you, don't go. Chris got sunset.

SPEAKER_03

Everybody has something.

SPEAKER_01

But speaking of talent, we know the whole biopic is coming out now. Yeah, baby, Michael T. I think.

SPEAKER_03

I want to get tickets. We should get tickets. We gotta wait.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Because you know if it's not in the calendar.

SPEAKER_02

Because you know if it's not in the calendar. Yes. It's something that's gonna be.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Kian tried to get tickets opening weekend. He can't. They'll solve that.

SPEAKER_03

It's April 24th, I believe. Okay, okay. You guys tell me. But we gotta see that like an IMAX. Like, I don't want just the regular. I just want the I really want the soundtrack. Oh, yeah. Whatever they're doing. Yeah. Now, we've been going back and forth with this because you know we love Paris Jackson. I love her. I love her. She's beautiful. She's beautiful. She's a consummate big sister. Yep. She is she is ferociously defensive of her father. Of course. Yeah, and I think with good reason. And I think that she strikes me as an individual that uh for all the stuff in celebrity and all the stuff that goes along there, she strikes me as somebody who, if there was really something to talk about, she would be like, Yeah, this is I I'm not gonna either make a comment, but the fact that she's so protective of her dad's legacy and everything and all the things she went through, she is not in support of this movie though. She is not. That is a that is always for me, that's a big thing. Like when Baslerman did the Elvis movie, they were very supportive of it. Very supportive. Lisa, Lisa Marie, and then the mom. The mom. Yeah, Priscilla. Priscilla. To this day, like to this day, they're very good friends with Austin and all and all that were married. Prince, uh not Prince, excuse me, Freddie Mercury when when the biopic on Queen. Right. I think I want to say that um what's her name? The one that he was in love with, but obviously didn't marry because he had other things that he did. But um that woman who is in charge of his entire estate till this day, I want to say her name is Laura, but I don't think it's Laura. I do believe she was also in support of the Bohemia Rhapsody Rhapsody. But Paris is a great, oh great biopage. Rami was Rami Locke was amazing. Nailed it. Nailed it. So good. But MJ. This one did she give her Did she give her reasons? So she says she wanted to give her opinion about her dad because she, and there's a whole video on Instagram of you. Was that the one that you saw? Yeah, that's the one that you uh she recorded a video about it.

SPEAKER_01

She says, listen, you guys are gonna go, you're gonna love it, whatever.

SPEAKER_03

But she wanted the the she wants the dad that she knew to be presented.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because we know Michael for what the persona, the persona, and the music and all the shit. She wanted to bring out what he was as a dad. As a dad, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And the family wasn't having it. Okay, okay, okay. The family paid $18 million just to keep the whole sexual allegations out of the movie. Out of the movie. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Supposedly there's gonna be a part two biopic. Yeah, they're this is only A. This is only part A. Where they're gonna um introduce that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but the family right now paid $18 million for that not to be aired. I don't know. I don't know. I'm just happy that they're using someone in the Jackson family that looks just like you're killing it. Listen, they showed a trailer.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

You see the behind the scenes?

SPEAKER_03

Yes. I was like I was floored.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, floored and saw that you know that they had to change his nose throughout the series and stuff, and I was like, it's just the thing.

SPEAKER_02

They were gonna get like one of the people from before it came out that it was gonna be his nephew. I I didn't know whether they were gonna get someone from Broadway because he's phenomenal, yeah. And he killed it, nailed it. He won the Tony for the Tony. He won the Tony. Yeah, he was phenomenal. So he was phenomenal. So I didn't know um whether they were gonna uh who were they were gonna get, but when I saw the nephew, I was like, they killed it. You can't get tickets for MJ on Broadway.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, it's not on TKT yet. I would love to see it. I went to it's it's sold out.

SPEAKER_02

We should go like on a when I went, it was a Wednesday afternoon at like one o'clock in the afternoon. It was it was the music amazing, and basically it was um giving an inter he was giving an interview about his past life, and that's how they went through the generations of it. And um, they didn't harp on a lot of negative things or whatever. So it was mentioned, but it wasn't um in depth, and it didn't need to be, yeah, you know what I mean. So everyone knows what happened. Or allegedly what happened. Or allegedly what happened, but yeah, so we didn't really need that. We had the documentary, yes, we did.

SPEAKER_03

We had we had not documentary, we had the mini series miniseries, yes. What was it called? American Dreamer. Do you remember that? There were a couple of things. No, but there was there was the one in the 90s, early 90s. Oh, yeah. I remember every it was on like Sunday night. We remember a mini-series. I used to love that. We had four weeks. Yep. Tonight is blah blah blah, right? The Jackson family women they used to always play it on BH1. American Dream. American Dream in 1992. 92. That was the miniseries about the Jackson family, and that was like one of the I think maybe the best representations at the time of the family. What the kids were in there. Angela Bassett was in it, Holly Robertson, Pete. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was about like how young they were, and Michael especially so young. Yeah. How abusive the dad was.

SPEAKER_01

He was they say he was horrible.

SPEAKER_03

I believe it. How you know beautiful the mom was, you know. But um, like what they went through, and like not to you know, not to minimize too, but that's also a time period like before children were protected in celebrity. Like now it's it is different. Do I think kids were exploited? Yeah, I think there's a lot of things that still happen, but there is like a consciousness now that didn't exist then because you also had like the Beach Boys had the same experiences, like the Beach Boys. If you ever look into like yeah, like the Beach Boys were um the oh my goodness, their story was like I remember hearing about the Jacksons, it was the dad reach was like bent on them, like Brian Wilson and his brother being this band and this music, and the dad was like very abusive, like a Joe Jackson type, and it messed them up for a long time. Like, and then their cousin Carl was in the band, all those different things, but like there's a thread there, and I think Michael was is an icon, like he's unbelievable. So is Janet though, so is their whole family is like unbelievable for sure.

SPEAKER_01

She wasn't at the premiere, she was just out, she was just like no. Was his other kid there? Blanket was there, oh okay, blanket, yeah, Prince, Prince Blanket, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Prince blankets. He was there, the family was there. Um Paris was not, she was not interested. She was not at the premiere.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, she I mean, she knows she does know another aspect of him that we don't know, but yeah, I'm surprised they they couldn't include some maybe some of the things that she wanted, but depending on what it was. Who knows? Who knows?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I think even Janet's documentary, remember the one that she did? She went into Michael, she went along. She went into Michael, yeah. She did it and the kids.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she went into the kids, yeah. Um, also about the father. Yeah, yeah. And that's why they you know when certain stories collaborate is when multiple. She went into the Super Bowl and everything, like how she was blacklisted. She went into deaf. That was a great documentary. Yeah, you know, and she's interesting because Janet, um, their whole family, entertainment family, she was on good times. Yes, she was. And she was so she was acting at a very, very young age. Yeah, yeah. And before the music, where the brothers are making music, she wasn't singing on good times. Wasn't she in fame? She was in fame. She was in a great shit.

SPEAKER_02

What's a great show? Oh, I think I need to like do it. A reboot. The original fame. Yeah, the original one. Yeah. Love it. With Debbie Alley. But she used to go like this with this. Oh, fame. I'm on them. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna be filming.

unknown

Hi.

SPEAKER_02

And it was like filmed at it wasn't at Alvinelli, was it? Let me see. It was on filmed in the city. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But it was about Alvinelli's dance school. Yes, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

I remember um doing a tour of that uh place um in school. Um, it was like a school trip at Hubbard.

SPEAKER_03

So oh, fame. Good times. That's good times we should watch it all time.

SPEAKER_01

So I'm looking forward to it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm just gonna be able to do it. Really looking forward to it.

SPEAKER_02

Um you know I love a good when they do it right, a good biopic.

SPEAKER_03

So you're like my judgmental face.

SPEAKER_02

I know. No, I'm like in the case. Because you know, like, you know, we go in with a certain expectation. It's kind of like Little Mermaid, like my favorite, favorite Disney.

SPEAKER_03

So I was gonna say, they better not make it to see Little Mermaid. Yeah, they can't mess it up. We had very big attitudes, yes, and crossed arms. Yeah. Like as if we were like producing the movie, like well, we are producers because we did that on Rob. Yeah, we will do that on.

SPEAKER_02

We're like, you need to move that to act two, you need to move this around.

SPEAKER_03

You will see we've seen too many, yeah, and we'll be giving notes like we're producers. Yeah, and the same thing with Little Mermaid. We were like, and if they mess up under the sea, we're leaving. I know.

SPEAKER_00

I'll be like, where's Kiss the Girl? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's kind of like we also when we saw it at um um when we saw the fight. I was like, if they take out a girl, I am adults. Nikki's hands. Roman adults, but you talk about CBS Sunday morning. Like we dissect it. We were at the paper mill. Paper mill playhouse. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We were like The Little Mermaid on Broadway, like as if like anyway, but yeah, we will dissect. So the MJ movie would be the same way. Yeah. Yeah. So we'll have to partake. We're gonna see it and then we'll comment. We'll have another episode. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. I'm just looking forward to the music. I want to hear the soundtrack. I want to hear the music because they would have to get the licensing to use that. Yeah, I know. Because licensing is like the Beatles, like the Beatles have this thing where like people can. Record their stuff and use it and they have more freedom. But if you're gonna play the Beatles music, you have to go through the entire estate. So I'm curious if they had to get the Beatles too, you know.

SPEAKER_02

I I do. Yeah, they're doing the Beatles. They're doing a movie four separate ones. I'll pick up the Beatles? Yeah, but four. And they're gonna be released simultaneously. Yeah. It's gonna be 26th to 2028? 2027 or 2028?

SPEAKER_03

They released the photos of who's playing what. Yeah. How do you feel? How do you feel about it? I one is um the Paul Mescal from the Paul Mescal. Yeah, from one of the um the one that Barry Heegan, the one that Sabrina Carpenter was with, he's one of them. Barry Geegan. Oh yeah. Irish one. And then the other two. Okay. He yeah. And the video that he did with Sabrina while they were dating and then they broke up. He like left his wife for Really? Yeah, you ever he's oh I've got to do a deep deep. Oh yeah. You should definitely go into a deep dive. However, however, he I think he's actually playing Ring. He's gonna be Ringo Star. However, when you can't sleep tonight, do me a favor. We should go into the critical, but we're allowed. Yeah, but we're not too. We have the microphones. It's our show. Exactly. Go heeking. I feel like we need more and more biopics. I can't wait till Bon Jovi's biopic comes out. I want biopics. Absolutely. I do love them. I love them.

SPEAKER_02

Especially when they get them right. When they get them right. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Nikki, did you see that he's rehearsing for the tour? I did. Did I see that? I did a little bit yet.

SPEAKER_02

I did. I know. Kenop. I am so excited. That's gonna be a very busy week for me, but I will be there. So I'm excited. I don't know. So when you sent me that, I was like, wait, what does that mean?

SPEAKER_03

That means I'm going. Yeah. I'm just letting you know. Yeah, I'm gonna be dead the next day.

SPEAKER_02

Sure, I'm literally dead.

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna definitely prepare and in advance.

SPEAKER_02

So I don't have to do too much talking that Wednesday.

SPEAKER_01

So another thing that I want to talk about is um I don't know if you guys had a chance to see the video, but um I love Alan Richardson. Yes, right? Oh yeah, and I've always loved him because we watch Reacher.

SPEAKER_03

The Reacher, yeah. We watched his I can't wait because he's recording the next season. I can't wait for some. That's on my list. I haven't started it yet. It was a movie. It's a series. Yeah, it's a movie or series. It's a series. But it was a movie. So it converted into a series movie. He's in one of my favorite movies, which I will not share the title of it because I'm not gonna say that, but he is in one of my favorite movies. Yeah, you will share the chat. It's not mandatory to watch and it's a hundred percent based on history. Yes, and history is bloody and ugly, okay? Calm down, everybody. Is it the one that just came out? It's an okay. Because he came one out, it's an owing came out with one now, and I'm like, I can't. No, but it's based on a book. If anybody wants to read it about Winston Churchill, okay? Calm down, everyone. But he's fantastic in it, and I think he's a fantastic actor. I love him. First of all, he's gorgeous. So I mean he's he's huge, and he's Dr. Squatch. He is Dr. Squatch soap. Yes, he is. What? I follow him on Instagram and I find him. Yeah, Dr. Squatch Soap.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna watch it. And um, I love um just watching him on Instagram because he's just so funny. He just has that quirky personality, like that's a sarcastic type of comedy. So a couple of weeks ago, there was a situation came out on TMZ, and it was him in an altercation with his neighbor, and everyone was freaking out because he did it in front of his kids. But quite honestly, we didn't know the real story. Tell the whole story.

SPEAKER_03

So it's not, of course, everyone got the neighbor side first, right? And he sh he's being interviewed and he's all black and blue to whatever. All of his fans were like, good for you, good for you, good that you did that. Kudos, good, because of his role in this series.

SPEAKER_01

We all know how he is, right? So now you're turning it over to real life, and we're like, oh, that's just him.

SPEAKER_03

Because we're so used to seeing it. So we're like, like, oh okay. I mean, that's what he does. I'm like, that's that's Sunday. We're like, is he practicing? Is this real? When I first saw it, I was like, this can't be real. Because I'm thinking that he's probably filming.

SPEAKER_01

But sure enough, it was a real off your face.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it was a real other side story that like the neighbor had been the neighbor was the one who was he was annoyed.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because him and his kids were riding around in the bikes, and you know, those bikes make noises, they were in like they're cold. So he was waiting for them to come around. Yep, and sure enough, he went and he got in front of his bike. He's riding.

SPEAKER_03

He went and got in front of his bike, right? And went at it with him. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

That who did he think he is, that they're just making a noise and that they're tired of it, blah blah blah. And it just got into an altercation, and the neighbor was like, go ahead, go ahead, punch me. Go ahead, punch me.

SPEAKER_03

He was like, Okay, boom! And that was it. Now, I just want to say I don't condone violence. However, however, we're talking Alan Richardson here. Like, what are you doing, sir? Sir. What are you doing? Your neighbor, first of all, let's just talk about your neighbor is Alan Richardson, who is massive. Is he on steroids? Probably. They all are, right? But like, what are you doing? That guy was that guy was like 150 pounds smoking glasses. Listen. And then you're standing, and the thing that bothered me was like, you just happened to be recording the whole thing. Of course. That was like Alan Richardson is your neighbor. Come on, you're not like so you can turn around and sell at online stores.

SPEAKER_01

So you thought because he was with his kids, he was not gonna defend himself. He was the one that wanted to pick up again. He was kicking his bike, his motorcycle, so he was defending himself. So while I don't condone violence, I am team Alan.

SPEAKER_03

And so was Winston Churchill, who had a character in real life that Alan played perfectly. Oh my god. So, you know, it there hasn't been much more talk about it because this happened like a couple of weeks ago. But there was if you haven't watched this, I will gladly share it. There was someone who did a movie trailer on this, and they put John Cena in it. Okay. Oh my god. Genius! Genius. Really? Genius. I gotta share this with you guys. But I loved it. You didn't see it, Laura? No, I didn't see it. I'm gonna share it. I didn't share the video. They've got two trailers, but the first one is so funny.

SPEAKER_01

But I mean, like, let's talk about that. Because, like, what if someone came into your personal space? Right?

SPEAKER_04

Oh well, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Again, we don't con we we're not violent people.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not condoning violence. Dude, I'm all on it. She's all on it. I'm all on it. She's like, I'd be like, I'm like, who? I'm like, I just be like 15 years old. I'm like one day, Jay. We have to have to do one second.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we're gonna have to do like Janet's being all in it.

SPEAKER_00

The rabbit hole. Did you hear? Did you hear? Did you hear that? Like, no.

SPEAKER_03

Well, did you all hear offset got shot? I know you heard what it is. Okay, okay. I don't know if he's been released, but he got shot in the line. Yeah, check up on him, Jen. Yeah, right. His brother posted. Because remember, his brother was um one of the Migos was shot like in a in a bowling alley in Texas or something. They were like, yeah, it was really that was really scary when he when he um he was killed a few years ago. That was sad. But yeah, listen, Alan, who is our hot dad of the week. Hot dad of the week. Oh, Alan is Alan is he and I don't like Alan Bonds, but yes. He's not fantastic. His neighbor definitely provoked him into the situation. He was provoked.

SPEAKER_01

That's the point. He was provoked. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

So like you know your neighbor is Alan Richardson. Okay, so secondly, my neighbors do the bikes like that. They don't look like him. They do it all around the summer. They do all the in the summertime. Why are you personally like on the be uh in front of me?

SPEAKER_02

Is it a name? You're asking for it right now.

SPEAKER_03

But Ozie Parker?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, it is what it is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Well, Alan. You're in the neighborhood. What do you expect?

SPEAKER_01

No noise. Wintertime is quiet, dull. Now spring, summer, everybody's gonna be out. So here come the bikes. Yeah. You know?

SPEAKER_03

No different than those crews that ride. Like I've seen like these um Harley guys and they all come together and they do a ride day. That's what it is. In Newark, you know, it's a summer because all the quads come out. All the four-wheelers and the quads come out, and like it's I mean, in a beautiful night when it's like warm, they're coming on filling hazen like 8 to 12 deep, popping wheelies. Yeah, yeah. Like it's actually one of the things that whenever I see it, I'm like, summertime's on its way up. When they when they you know they'll be at the top of the of um Elizabeth Ab going up to 78, and there's a parking lot back there, and they're just doing wheelies. Like, it's people what people are doing in the in the time this time, you know. Like in your driveway, bro, stuff. Like he's going with his kids on the street. That's what it is. Alan, get sounds hot dad. Hot dad. That's our hot dad.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. Organic and natural. That's what we try to be.

SPEAKER_01

Just being us. Yeah. Just being us. Alright, let's do intro. Okay. Ready?

SPEAKER_03

We got um I just made my lost my last song.
