Beyond The Tweezers
A podcast for lash and beauty artists who want more than just technique.
This is about the artist beyond the skill - the business moves, the real stories, the lessons you don’t see on Instagram.
Ever wondered what the artists you admire are really like behind the polished posts? This podcast pulls back the curtain with honest, unfiltered conversations.
Expect industry insights, mentorship moments, a little bit of gossip, and fly on the wall chats from inside the room - through solo episodes that go deep and in person interviews you can also watch on video.

Running a business looks easy from the outside… but once you’re in it, you realise you’re wearing every hat.
In this episode, I talk honestly about what it really takes to run your own business - from being the social media manager, accountant, admin, photographer, artist, a mum, a wife, (and everything in between), to staying disciplined when no one else is holding you accountable.
I also talk about the middle phase - the quiet part that no one really talks about. When you first open your business, everyone’s cheering you on. There’s excitement and support everywhere. But then it goes quiet, and suddenly it’s just you, your thoughts, and the work that still needs to be done. This is the phase where a lot of people give up - not because they can’t do it, but because it’s uncomfortable, lonely, and challenging. You might be facing setbacks, slow growth, or self doubt, all while still having to show up. This is normal and you’re not doing anything wrong, it’s all part of the process.
Another big part of this episode is social media and comparison. I talk about how easily comparison can creep in without you even realising - leaving you feeling anxious, deflated, stressed, or like you’re not doing enough.
We also dive into why running a business isn’t for everyone - and why that’s okay. The security of employed work, guaranteed income, set holidays, and clocking off at the end of the day is something many people value. But for me? I wouldn’t change this life for the world. I love building something from the ground up. I love that it’s mine. I love knowing I’m not building someone else’s dream - I’m building my own.
In this episode, I talk about:
- Wearing multiple hats and the pressure that comes with it
- The quiet middle phase where motivation is tested
- What consistency actually looks like (and why it doesn’t mean showing up every single day)
- Discipline, self drive, and personal responsibility
- Delegating, asking for help, and outsourcing without guilt
- Social media comparison and protecting your energy
- Self-care, rest, and being kind to yourself
- Remembering that you’re still you, not just your business
If you’re building a business, stuck in the middle phase, or feeling the pressure of comparison, this episode is an honest reminder that you’re not behind - you’re just human.
