Curse of Strahd - Episode 20 'Loose Ends'

The party wakes up from what was a much needed rest... and for Leo a much needed something else. 

Ismark is back in town to visit his distraught sister, Udo has finished their shoes, and it's finally time to go to Castle Ravenloft.

Thank you all for joining us for episode 20 of our Curse of Straud Adventure. Last episode began as Quickdraw and Lyriel were confronted in their room by Esmeralda Diavenir, who was a bit pissed off that they had just turned in her mentor, Rictavio. After a bit of a discussion, um, despite the long day and exhaustion that was overwhelming. Quick draw and Leary, they assisted Esmeralda in emptying out Rictavio's tower, his uh little hideout that he had with Esmeralda, and moving all of his stuff to the less secure um old bone grinder that was cleared out a few days ago by the party. Um it does not have the barrier to scrying, um, unfortunately, but the word would have traveled very quickly, apparently, um, that Rictavia was located there and strawed, apparently, once. Once his ass. So uh they had to move. Uh you guys helped do that, and then returned back to the Blue Water Inn to get a much needed long rest. Meanwhile, uh Leo in the next room was having um a fun time with Baron, uh the the Burgamaster's maid, Vera. Um the next morning. They did it again.

I made her waffles after we fucked again.

I really can't remember much from last episode. She said, come back to bed. Yeah, well, this is the episode that I was like really tired for. I drove all day. Okay, so yeah. Uh woke up, Leo's festivities continued um before he went downstairs to whip up some waffles in Erwin's kitchen. Uh he was very eager to learn the recipe, and Yevgeny was very eager to have waffles uh for breakfast two days in a row, even though he didn't get Leo two days in a row.

After the waffles were made, the breakfast was had and shared. Uh Quick Draw needed to find his old buddy Jaquis after they left him outside of the gate um the previous night and hopped over it. Uh turned out Jaquis was nowhere outside as he was detained for malicious unhappiness. I would have shot all of them if not for Lirio. So uh you managed to find him in the stocks in the middle of town, uh wearing the same donkey mask that Quick Draw once wore uh as punishment. Uh you managed to uh free Jaquis and then bring him back to the Blue Water Inn, um where we went then to the coffin maker shop in the hope that we could teleport to Castle Ravenloft, judging on that detect magic that Leo did a few days ago when they were last in there. Uh, he got the sense of teleportation magic. Um, but it seems like that was a one-way uh teleportation portal. This is the arrival and the departure must be in Castle Ravenloft. So, at the very least, you know that you have a way, a quick way back if you can find a teleportation room in the massive castle. But uh we pick up with our players standing in the coffin maker shop where they try to determine their next move.

So following the rebirth thing, um many previous lives ago, um, Irina's soul was in the body of a woman called Tatiana and Strod was desperately in love with her and wanted her for his own. Um she in turn chose his brother instead and in what I can only call a jealous rage, killed his own brother, which caused Tatiana to throw herself off of Castle Ravenloft. And never since then he's been following her soul wherever it goes. Hoping that he might finally convince her.

And Irina had a uh recently, Irina had a flood of memories of her past lives come through her mind, and it's almost like she wasn't herself.

She kept calling for his name, Sergei Sergei, Strahd's brother.

And uh she almost well, we thought would have killed her. She almost killed herself. There Sergei was in the reflection of a pool and crestk. And it's like a hand reached up, was reaching up for her. Luckily, we saved her from going in there, and but uh yeah, it was awful weird. And then ever since then, she's been awful upset with us and at the world for not being able to reunite with him. It's like she's got more Tatiana in her soul and her mind than she does Irina.
