SPEAKER_04My jokes are funny. Get the fuck out of here. It was punning. What if they did? But they never stopped. No boundaries, no escape. Red flags that make you think, huh. That's not right. No escape. Turns out getting exactly what you wish for might just be the biggest horror story of all. Alright, mama, you ready to get into this shit?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm gonna talk about how pieces of shit man can be. Let's go.
SPEAKER_04Okay. First impressions and thoughts of obsession. Okay, so we open on a diner with Bear and Ian and the waitress. Yeah. Okay. Bear's practicing or pitching to the waitress and practicing for Nikki. Right. Okay. Right. Which was so fucking cringy.
SPEAKER_02I guess we should say there's gonna be a lot of spoilers if you haven't. Oh yeah, shit, sorry. That's okay. Well, let's get to it now before before we get too deep.
SPEAKER_04Uh to me it was very corny and cringy, and I wanted to die a little bit. But like at the same time, it was really good too. I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Have you ever rehearsed anything like that with anyone? Have you ever been that nervous to ask someone out?
SPEAKER_04The only time I ever rehearse like that is for like if I'm giving like a speech or some shit like that. So nothing romantic. No. Okay. I'll just authentically myself.
SPEAKER_02Perr. Which just does it win with the with the dad jokes that you just did? No. Oh.
SPEAKER_04Um, so Bear obviously has feelings for Nikki, but is afraid to express that to her.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Um Nikki is portrayed as only seeing Bear as a friend, which makes sense because they grew up together.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean it's valid.
SPEAKER_04Um, and she doesn't see him as any more than a friend, literally. Right. My first thoughts on Bear, I thought he kind of seemed like a bitch. But like he's kind of hot too.
SPEAKER_02So my first impressions of Bear, if I went into this not knowing a singular thing, um, which was very hard to do because it's it's everywhere. Right. And so if you're on social media and everything, you're seeing all the things. Um, but Jim and I really try to stay away from all that shit. Okay. Because we wanted to be authentically involved in this movie. Yeah. Uh so when we watched it at home, my first impressions of Bear were okay, so he had to have been through some shit. He's he's either super, super awkward like this for some reason, or he's gone through something traumatic.
SPEAKER_04Which he gives me more awkward. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean, obviously he could have had trauma before, but well, and I kind of as the movie goes on, you realize like he's living in his grandma's house, so like to me, as I'm like analysis in the character itself, I'm thinking, okay, so Bear must have not had his parents in his life, his grandma must have raised him, she died. Yeah, he's awkward, he doesn't know how to communicate, there was no one there to do that or help him through that. Um I personally think all the friends are horrible, and I'm glad that they all got what they deserved, in my opinion. Um what do you mean? I think they all died in the way that I think they deserve to die. I hated all the friends. I hate it all. I think they're all horrible. Horrible friends.
SPEAKER_03Interesting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but we can get to that later. Um so they obviously were not helping in any way because the advice that what's his face? The jock?
SPEAKER_04Ian.
SPEAKER_02The advice that Ian was giving to Bear was so like toxic masculinity, like super douchey type of energy that I was like, I can already see where this is gonna go, and he does not have good supportive people in his corner. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, I get that. I can't believe you said that. That's crazy. You don't like Sarah?
SPEAKER_02Sarah was okay. Sarah was okay. Um, I don't know. I just I think a lot of it has to do with just the whole situation where like if you guys knew that like Nikki wasn't her being acting like herself or being herself, why did no one actually like reach out and like try to initiate something? I guess I'm talking from like Nikki's perspective.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I could see that.
SPEAKER_02None of the friends actually gave a shit about Nikki because none of them were like, oh yeah, she's just going through something. I'm not gonna reach out and uh bullshit. If my friends are going through something, or like I can tell that they're like physically different from how they act to me, yeah, I'm the first one to be like, so what the fuck's up? So and like direct them appropriate like I'm not gonna go around to like my other friend and be like, have you heard that's have you has she acted weird around you?
SPEAKER_04You go directly to the source club.
SPEAKER_02I go directly to the fucking source club, not a fucking bitch, yeah, and I'm a good friend. So if my friend is acting like as crazy, like 180 compared to how I know them previously, sure. What the fuck is up?

SPEAKER_04Um okay, so we got Bear. Nikki's more like a hmm.
SPEAKER_02Nikki reminds me of my friend. I'm gonna name drop her. Nikki reminds me of my friend Stoney. My friend Stony, she does not give a shit. Um very opinionated. Um, she doesn't give a shit if she's gonna hurt your feelings or not, because she's always gonna be 100% with you.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I could see that. I didn't know I didn't really know how to describe her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04She's like, she and like she's a she does she does have like that I don't give a fuck attitude.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and you can tell like she's the guy's girl, but she can also be a girl's girl, too. Yeah, yeah. And that's to me, that's what my my friend Stoney is.
SPEAKER_04Okay, gotcha.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, and then later in the sh in the movie, uh, we're introduced to Sarah, which we had already talked about, and also Ian. Which they're kind of like, I actually like Sarah up until this point.
SPEAKER_02Uh up into our conversation? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I didn't like Ian. He seemed very douchey. Yeah, he was horrible. Cocky and just an overall kind of piece of shit. Um, we'll get into that later though. So do you think this is obviously it's horror, but would you also consider it romance too? Or maybe something else?
SPEAKER_02I would consider this. Oh, it's hard because it doesn't really fall into like I when I think of horror, I think of two genres, and that's like slasher and paranormal. But obviously there's a lot of gray area in between there. Right. Um, I would say this is pretty psychological to me.
SPEAKER_04Like a psychological horror. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'd say the same. I think there is some romance in the very, very beginning of it. Because like Barrett is trying to confess his feelings to Nikki, but is scared to do that.
SPEAKER_02Which it's just I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I don't know if you can classify it as like a I would not put it in the in a horror.
SPEAKER_02I mean, excuse me, in a in a like romance. In a romance column.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I got you. Um so he goes into the shop, this little um It's a wood shop. Like a wood shop, like crystals and all that shit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So he tries to get her something nice, like a little gift or whatever.
SPEAKER_02The backstory is that she wore a crystal on her necklace. Like on her neck. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's right. And it broke. And he knew that she was into crystals and and things like that. So he was gonna go try to find a crystal to replace it. And of course, he doesn't know what the fuck, because he's not into astrology, crystals, anything like that, so he doesn't know what crystals do what.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And so he's asking these questions, which I mean he's asking good qu questions, and so he was originally gonna buy her uh citrulline, uh, which is good. Which is a sunshine rock, which is plus to being happy and positive energy and stuff like that, and which is not Nikki. She has black cat energy.
SPEAKER_04I think she I think I think he said that actually. Because the girl, the shopkeeper who were which also was very fucking unhelpful to him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, very unhelpful.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she sucked. So Bear goes into the switchy shop, okay? Looking for I didn't know that I forgot that backstory, but I digress. I have dementia. I actually think I do. Um so he stumbles upon a one wish willow, which is this like stick thing. It looks like it's packaged in like the fucking 70s.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, literally. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um and if you make a wish, the wish comes true. And originally I think he bought it for her. As like a a a nicety, I guess, or something to give to her, I guess. But yeah. Um so yeah, he buys one, and like I said, if you snap it, you make a wish and it supposedly comes true. Right. Okay. Um what the packaging doesn't tell you is that there which by the way, the fucking shopkeeper um warned him from the beginning. Like, hey, maybe be careful with this. Yeah. Because didn't she say like it was something like like she had gotten complaints about it before?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she's gotten complaints about it before, and uh and what they should have put in this movie, and it's something I thought about later, was have you ever seen the movie Aladdin?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, you know how the genie, when he comes out of the lamp, says there's yeah, you can have whatever you want, but there's two things I can't do for you. I cannot bring someone back from the dead, and I cannot make someone fall in love with you. Because you're forcing something that the other person would not want. Like yeah, and obviously bringing people back from the dead, you don't know exactly what you're what you're gonna bring back. It may not be that person, right? Okay, why don't we listen to Disney movies? And why don't we listen to Robin Williams and or the modern version with Will Smith and just not do that? So basically, yeah, she was like warning, like, hey, be careful what you wish for. Which of course everyone who doesn't know what the fuck they're doing, like if anyone goes in this without knowledge and they just do it out of ill intent or or or ignorance, they're gonna ignore that because everyone tells you that. Careful what you wish for, you're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever, whatever.
SPEAKER_04But like he questioned it though, and he still fucking bothered. And he still did it, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Anyways, add to the list of pieces shit things that Bear did.
SPEAKER_04We're just gonna be shitting on him in this entire episode, just by the way. Um, so yeah, he bought it, and then he really wasn't sure if he was gonna give it to Nikki, and I think he was driving her home because they had just got done hanging out with all their friends and leaving leaving the bar, whatever the fuck it was. Yeah. So he fucking takes Nikki home, was trying to confess his feelings to her.
SPEAKER_02And was pussying out.
SPEAKER_04He was pussying out, and then he fucking opened the box, and what does this man do? He takes that motherfucking one wish willow and he says I wish Nikki Freeman loved me more than anyone else in the whole world.
SPEAKER_02And and just to let you know, uh too, this scene is very viable, but this and this was where personally where Jim looked at me and said, Babe, I don't think we're gonna like this at all. It was that, and then earlier before they went to the bar, he was kind of depressed because his cat died.

SPEAKER_04Oh my god, I didn't even put that in the fucking. Oh my god. Okay, we're gonna talk about it.
SPEAKER_02We gotta talk about this. So we're gonna backtrack just a little bit. He bear has no one besides his friends and his cat, Sandy. Um, he comes home from work and Sandy is dead. Because he yeah, because he is irresponsible and left a medicine cap off his medicine, and she got into his medicine cap and ate all his medicines.
SPEAKER_04It was oxycodone.
SPEAKER_02And it was oxy, and so she died. And he was really depressed about it. Um, so between that and then him pussing out not once, not twice, but three times and trying to confess his feelings, and even Nikki gave him the opportunity.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_02She turned around and said, Bear, do you have feelings for me? Because now is the time to tell me. And he lied to her face and said like a friend. She's like, Okay, cool, night, just the door. She literally was went inside her house. Yeah, he broke the wishing willow, said, I wish Nikki Freeman loved me more than anyone in the whole wide world. Yep. And she comes out of the house and she's staying, and it's so eerie that scene.
SPEAKER_04Because it was like it was immediate.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And she's standing, she has her front porch light on. If anyone knows what the houses are like in like Riverside, that's the kind of house that we're talking about.
SPEAKER_04Like old old school.
SPEAKER_02Old school kind of houses. And so you have like the the one light outside of the door, and she's standing underneath the light, and everything else is dark.
SPEAKER_04He doesn't even realize it until like it took like what five, ten seconds before he realized it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because he was fixing the drive away, and then sh she goes and says, I don't think you want to be alone right now. I don't think I want to be alone right now.
SPEAKER_04She starts talking about her dad who has cancer and that his cat just died, which I don't know how she knocks on the fucking window and she was like trying to make up an excuse to get him to stay, basically. Yeah. Yeah. And she there's like this point in the scene where she's like, she keeps talking and blah blah blah. And she has these moments where she's not under the under the spell.
SPEAKER_02Like she snaps out of it.
SPEAKER_04She snaps out of it, which we could see that immediately, because she's like, wait, what the fuck is happening?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And then she's like, oh my god, I'm being so weird, I'm so sorry. And then Bears like he just looks at her like he's confused. He's confused.
SPEAKER_02Because he knows how Nikki is, and like that's not how Nikki is. Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Right. And then after that point, I think she goes back inside, right?
SPEAKER_02Or does she still she tries to go back, but her body keeps forcing her back to the car. And so eventually she convinces him to take her to his house because he doesn't go inside.
SPEAKER_05That's right.
SPEAKER_02They drive to his house and she's like, he's like making a cot. Like, like he's he he's fully aware of like um how the Nikki he knows is. And so he's like, Oh, like I'll sleep on the couch or I'll sleep on the floor, you can have my bed. And then she does like the really weird thing where she goes, Well, why don't you come into bed with me?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it's just like this whole like super weird thing because she is, she's like trying. There's parts of her where you can tell she's super confused, but then she's like channeled back in.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's like her transforming from fake Nikki to real Nikki.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, wish Nikki to to the Nikki freaking that we're right.
SPEAKER_04So that's kind of like the the general gist of what the One Wished Willow does. But it doesn't, like I said, it doesn't you really need to fucking pay attention to the warnings. Clearly. Okay, so now we're gonna dive into what the fuck is wrong with Bear's Wish? And what did this man just do?
SPEAKER_02Bear is what's wrong with Bear's Wish.
SPEAKER_04It's because he's a man.
SPEAKER_02And again, I I'm gonna come back to it. Why don't we listen to the genie? Because why and I get really like Again, I could talk about this forever, but you know, with with some things that I do, I don't a lot of stuff is really can get really deep really quick.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_02And the thing that I worried about after watching this movie and like reassessing is are people that desperate out there to where they're now going to try to seek out love spells and like honey jars and and closed practices, like a honey jar is a voodoo like a like a hoodoo thing. Hoodoo is a closed practice. Are you gonna try to dabble in something that you know nothing about and then cause problems with your life and with the person you're wishing for? You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um so I think one bear is what's wrong with bear. I think it's it it was pussy of him. Like, if you don't have the ball, it's just a teller what's up, then like why are you wishing for it? Because what happens when you get it? He didn't know what what to do with it when it when it was right there in front of him for the longest time.
SPEAKER_04I mean, and he I mean, even you said like she gave him an opportunity to be like, say what's up. Do you have feelings for me?
SPEAKER_02Right. What's up, pussy boy?
SPEAKER_04There, stop being a fucking pussy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04So there's just there's a lot of things to unpack with that wish, and obviously he didn't think at the time, like, hey, this is actually gonna fucking work. And then she literally came to the fucking door of his car.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Um, do we think obviously it's not actual love, but do we think Bear is just being selfish and he's just being a little pussy boy?
SPEAKER_02I think Bear is 100% selfish. I think if um, again, if you if that's the the one thing you you wish for, um it's like wishing for like money. Um that's another thing that the genie talks about in in Aladdin is uh you are you're you can be like one of those guys, you know, great, powerful, yeah, you know, sorcerer. I want to be like, you know, a king, I want to have a billion dollars. You can be that guy, but at the end of the day, it's not gonna ever be enough. Money won't ever fix your inner emptiness. Right.
SPEAKER_04Uh I disagree, but okay, girl. Um I think money would make me happy.
SPEAKER_01Maybe money make you happy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01How is it ran out?
SPEAKER_04Why would it run out? Just wish for infinite money.
SPEAKER_02Uh I don't think you can do that though. Why? I think there's like a cap on it. I don't know. You can go you gotta go find a genie and talk to the genie. But I feel like there's a cat.
SPEAKER_04Well, girl, you're talking about genie, so you obviously must know him. Okay, so obviously Bear is being selfish as fuck. He's being a little pussy boy and cannot confess his feelings. Right. Um do we think when Bear does realize that it's not Nikki, it's wish Nikki, and he still continues to do what he's doing. Do we think that's an issue?
SPEAKER_02100%. Because there's a point where um they have sex, and I think at this point he knows it's not Nikki. And at that point, you know that it's not her actually consenting, and so now to me, I just watched you sexually assault this woman. She she would have never wanted that. You wanna know how I know that?
SPEAKER_04Because she just snapped the fuck out of it and jumped out of bed.
SPEAKER_02That and when he left the next day, I don't know if people know this or not, but if it in a cry for help, um it's taught to women and children who are victims of sexual assault, even men, um, to ask for help if you don't know how to do that or to turn away your your abuser is to urinate yourself because it it's just it turns your abuser into like the like actually piss yourself. Yeah, because then your abuser looks like you're disgusting because you just pissed your pants. I'm not gonna try to sexually assault you when you just pissed your pants. For me, when I saw that, I was like, this is fucked up.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And he continued it. There was even a point in this movie where she snapped out of it enough to know that quote unquote, like. Wish Nikki was asleep. And she was talking to Bear as actual Nikki Dreaman.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because he he got out of bed and he was going to like pee or get a glass of water or some shit.

SPEAKER_02That's right. That's right. Okay. Because Sarah was like, I gotta talk to you about Nikki and Ian and all the things.
SPEAKER_04Because then she started talking and she was like, please kill me.
SPEAKER_02Please kill me. That this taught me.
SPEAKER_04I think that's when Bear realized some shit is going on. Or like he knew that that wasn't that wasn't Nikki.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? I think he I think he knew it internally, like in the back of his mind the whole time.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I think that was the first time he actually like came face to face with it.
SPEAKER_04Like, hey, this isn't fucking Nikki.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, but even then though, I don't think he gave a shit. I think at the end of the day he still got what he always wanted.
SPEAKER_04So I wrote down, I think at that point, like the scene you were talking about where she was like, please fucking kill me.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, and he realized, oh, this isn't her, you know what I mean? Right. And it was just he was just Bear basically said, I literally don't give a fuck. Yeah. Because like anytime she would like act fucking crazy, or like any of those really, really absurd like acting scenes where it's like she'd do some crazy shit, and then Bear would freak Bear would freak the fuck out, yeah, ignore it, and then she'd be like, oh my god, I'm so sorry, baby. Like, let's have sex, basically. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, yeah, crazy. Insane. And I really I didn't talking about this now, I didn't actually realize like that was happening until uh Faggy Golie like brought it up, and then you said that, and I was like, Holy shit, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And you want to know what though her and I bringing it up is sad because uh it's uh it's like what I told Jim. I was like, if we as women did Jim clock it at all or um I warned Jim previously that I felt me personally, for me, if I know that, that's sad. And women watching this were so hurt by this movie. Not hurt, but like they got the realism of it.
SPEAKER_03It it hit different.
SPEAKER_02It hit so different than men watching this movie because men are just like, oh my god, like uh, but like the women are like you did all these things because right you and you ruined her life because you couldn't be a fucking man. Quite literally, you couldn't fucking just say something.
SPEAKER_04If honestly, if he just told her, hey, I have fucking feelings for you. Hello. Instead of buying the fucking one wish willow, yeah, none of the shit would happen.

SPEAKER_04Three people four people wouldn't have been dead. Yeah. Spoiler. Spoiler. Sorry.

SPEAKER_04I'm gonna keep saying spoiler, but yeah, yeah. But yeah, no, I I literally didn't clock it until until uh Feggy Oli texts me. Or not text me, but she told me she's like Bear's literally sexually assaulting Nikki constantly. Yeah. Even though she's offering, she's still not like in her right fucking mind. Yeah, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02It's no different than like, you know, if we're like, I don't know, like off drugs or alcohol or like, you know, passing the fuck out. If you're if if a woman's passed the fuck out and you're gonna still have sex with her, right? Is she consenting? No, because she's asleep.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_02Real Nikki was laying dormant in that body. That was not real Nikki. Yeah. So it's like sexually assaulting a woman who's passed out on the bed.

SPEAKER_04Yeah, I um it's still a good movie, don't get me wrong, but it's just like it really fucks with you. It fucks with your brain a little bit.
SPEAKER_02If you go into it knowing these details, or coming in knowing that or having that mindset, whether you're a man or a woman, and you watch it, it really does hit different. Yeah. 100%.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Okay, so moving on from that, we're gonna talk about our favorite scenes in the favorite scenes. So I have um like two different categories, and you can I mean you can literally like bring up one that doesn't have anything to do with these particular scenes. Um, the creepiest scene, in my opinion. When Nikki is standing in the corner in the dark watching Bear sleep. Okay, okay. Okay, she starts. Well, she's just standing there, but Bear like kind of wakes up and he was like, Where the fuck did Nikki go?
SPEAKER_01She's in the corner. And she's in the corner lurking. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And she's like, I like when you sleep. You look so cute when you sleep. And then Bear's like, hello? Okay.
SPEAKER_00Come to bed. You can watch me in bed. No.
SPEAKER_04And then she fucking scurries away. Yeah. And I was like, oh, I do not like that. She scurries multiple times in this fucking movie. Yeah. Like she like walks backwards.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04No, bitch.
SPEAKER_02Um, I got a theory. Maybe it's in your notes. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02Um, I would agree with that. That that was a really creepy scene. That's the one I was thinking about when we were talking.
SPEAKER_04Um can can you um have you ever tried to like recreate that scene? Like actually like do what Nikki does? You haven't?

SPEAKER_02I feel like that that one's it. Um my theory on this whole on the whole thing is that uh Nikki is Bear's cat reincarnated. These are all cat-like activities.
SPEAKER_04So I'm really glad you brought that up. Because we were, I mean, I guess we already talked about it, but I do think the cat theory makes a lot of fucking sense. But unfortunately, Kirk Barker uh came out to the public and said, no, that's alright. But I still believe it. But it makes sense though. It makes so much sense. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But like what with the cat, like watching you sleep. Because like my cat. Okay, so I have three cats at home. Uh two of which no me knowingly knows sleep in the bed with Gemini.

SPEAKER_02Uh one is more Jim's cat, so he kind of lays over next to Jim. And then my cat lays uh sleeps above my head or off to my side. Yeah. Um and sometimes I'll fall asleep before he does, and I know it because he kind of snores. My cat snores. And he'll watch me sleep. Yeah. But that's just a it it's it's literally in their nature to make sure that you're okay.

SPEAKER_02So to me, that scene, it was creepy to watch, and then I had to reassociate it with well like Binks would do that.

SPEAKER_04Sh Nikki decides, I don't they're playing some kind of game, I don't remember. Um, but she reads that like whole fucking like poem poem that she wrote.

SPEAKER_04And she like read it into an accent too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And I was like, okay, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And everybody like I wasn't really watching her, I was watching everybody else react.

SPEAKER_04And I was like, right.
SPEAKER_02Because what would happen if like like King Neptune or uh Faggioli or e fuck me.

SPEAKER_04That whole scene was just weird as fuck. Yeah. Um that part, and then there was also when I think they were playing like spin the bottle or some shit like that. Well, I don't remember that.

SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. So like Sarah had to come sit next to the left of Bear. Right. Right.
SPEAKER_02And then Bear had to kiss the person to the left of him.
SPEAKER_04Right, and then Nikki stood up and made this fucking god-awful face. I I tried to recreate it too, and I couldn't do it, but basically she's just like frowning and just staring at Sarah. And then she walks over and then like she um what did she do with Sarah? Did she just like push her out of the way kind of?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she like pulled back her chair. Yeah. And like said, and then she sat down next to Bear and said, like puckered up her lips, like nothing happened. Like she's been sitting next to Bear the whole time. Yeah. Girl, that scene was crazy. And I laugh, I laugh when you're talking about it because I I know of situations of homies who have or may currently still be dating women who would do like it's who would actually do that. Not so much like the the poem part, but no, but yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Like just go sit next to another girl and kiss them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and be like, uh-uh, get the fuck up. Yeah, like like super, like just it's just being protective, but like in that scene, it's so like but very jealous, though. So jealous, yeah, so like jealous, insecure. Uh, and again, it's not Nikki. It it's the fact that it's it's not Nikki.

Um, and then she smashes the beer bottle and starts stabbing her fucking self. Yeah. And the eyeball. Yeah. Because I don't do you remember exactly what happened with that? Because she like popped off a little bit to everybody.

SPEAKER_04Something about, oh, I love Bear so much and he's the only person for me, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
SPEAKER_00I don't believe me. And then stab, stab, stab. I'm like, oh, I feel like I know bitches that would do that too.
SPEAKER_04Like, no, literally, literally. But she snaps out of the the trance in the middle of it, and then snaps right the fuck back in and then smashes the beer bottle.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, when I watched that scene, I was like, real Nikki was trying to kill herself. Yeah. No, 100%. Yeah. And it didn't work because that's when she snapped back. Right. Wish Nikki came back and said, I was just kidding. I was just kidding. Just a funny ha ha. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm like, oh, this bitch, this bitch is going through it.
SPEAKER_02I think for my scene, I'll go ahead and keep talking while you go take your potty break. So for the scene for me that I'm kind of thinking about is when Bear goes to meet Sarah. Um, this is after the conversation that Brandon and I had. Oh, he's looking at me from across the room. No, but that's mine.
SPEAKER_03That's yours?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh, do you not want me to talk about it?

SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. He wants to talk about it. Okay, I'll lead into it. I got the details. Um so this is after Bear is trying to sneak out of his house, and the scene that Brand and I kind of talked about a little bit ago where Nikki was waking up. The real Nikki was waking up, I guess I should say. And she was trying to tell Bear to kill her, please, because she didn't want to live like this anymore. And he just walked out, walked out of the house and went and met his friend Sarah. Sarah then is talking to Bear, and they had been friends for a while. You can kind of tell that Sarah liked Bear, um, but Bear never really entertained it because he was always so focused on liking Nikki. Um, in this scene, she's trying to get into tattoo school and start an apprentice and kind of get that rock and roll in. And she has a letter from a school um that she wanted to read with Bear because he's been supporting her through this. Um, they start talking about that, and then they kind of lead into what the fuck is wrong with Nikki. Um and he said, Nothing's wrong with Nikki. She's fine, she's just going through something. It's her dad who has cancer. And Sarah clocks it and says, Well, you know, she's never been close with her dad. Her and her dad don't get along. He's a real piece of shit. I don't know why she's so upset. That doesn't make any sense to me. And do you pee your pants?
SPEAKER_03I dribbled a little bit.
SPEAKER_02He dribbles some pee-pee on his pants. Don't look at my pee pee. Dribbling the pee-pee on my pants. Don't look at the pee pee on his pants. Um, and so they're kind of talking about that. And then, like I said, she clocks it. She goes, she's like, no, that's not it. That can't be it because Nikki and her dad don't get along. And she goes, Well, I'm gonna tell you something that might hurt your feelings, but Nikki and Ian have been hooking up for a couple of on and off for a couple of years now. Um, and so Ian thinks that it's just something that Nikki's doing to get back at him because they had a little like tit for tat.
SPEAKER_06Wait, what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_02The car scene.

SPEAKER_02And um which and I feel like everyone and I feel like everyone's kind of been in that situation where like you go tit for tat with like a situation ship. Everyone's had a situation ship. Um, and so what Sarah is trying to express to Bear is that she thinks that Nikki's acting like this to get back at Ian for some fuck shit that he did. And as they're kind of talking about this between the tattoo school, the letter she got, and this, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the glass breaks, and you see a brick get put on the steering wheel, and her Sarah's hair gets grabbed into a ball of fist, and her head is getting smashed into this fucking brick, and it's Nikki who's doing it, and Bear's just sitting there watching it happen, blood splattering everywhere. And then he ends up going home with Nikki afterwards because he's too fucking again, he's too fucking scared. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That scene when I saw it in theaters, scared the shit out of me. Like it made me jump. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Fuck, it made me jump in my own fucking house. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that scene was fucking crazy. Did you see what her Sarah's head looked like after?
SPEAKER_02Nothing.
SPEAKER_04It was a stump. It was non-existent, it was a fucking stump.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, that was my scene.
SPEAKER_04Um those are those are some of my favorite scenes. Um just more like body horror, honestly, almost.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I liked when um again, I I speak from like Nikki's perspective. The category is men ruining women's lives, right?

SPEAKER_02So I'm talking from Nikki's point of view. I think all of her friends were shit. So um Sarah. Sarah got what she deserved, I think. Um Ian ends up getting murked himself because um Bear thinks he can reverse this curse. He he's labeling it as a curse, it's a wish. And so he goes and tries to find another one with Schwillow.
SPEAKER_04But they're sold out.
SPEAKER_02But they're sold out.
SPEAKER_04Or no, they didn't even exist.
SPEAKER_02That's what the guy tells him. He's like, hello, ha ha, look at you. I made fun of you.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_02And he actually they have them, they just moved them into a different spot of the store.

SPEAKER_02And so he ends up buying another one with Shwillow. He takes it to Ian, he's trying to explain to Ian that like I fucked up, I wish that Nikki would love me more than anything in the whole wide world, and now she does, and I promise it's true. And so Ian, being the douchebag that he is, yeah, takes the one wish willow and says, I wish for a billion dollars. Snap. And then there's money pouring from this guy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I my jaw literally fucking dropped when he said that. Yeah. Because Bear was just like, he was so fucking defeated.
SPEAKER_02He said, You can wish that she would stop that she would snap out of it. And he's what does this man do? Wishes for the money. Right. Because what did we talk about earlier? People just want what they want. And so uh this scene is what really confused me. This is like probably my only critical point of view from from uh the movie itself is so Bear's literally right there as as it's happening. Right. Bear runs away, bear goes home. Bear and Nikki start having this like huge fucking fight. Huge fight. Uh Ian shows up at the house knocking on the door. Bear, bear. The money's real. The money's real. You have to come out here and see it. Bitch, he was right there. He was right there. He knew the money was real. Why did you come to you could have saved your whole life. Right. But you wanna what? I'm glad you didn't. Comes in the house, Nikki takes a hit, Nikki takes a gun, pops one in his head. I said, Man, did you deserve that? You numbnuts.
SPEAKER_04I will say that's the only I'll take this back. I will say that's the only death that I agreed with.
SPEAKER_02That you love the most.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Because like that's what you get for being a piece of shit and not believing your friend.

SPEAKER_02And then I think Bears, I kind of wish Bear would have died a different way, but Bear dying the way he died is kind of poetic to the whole realm of the story because he overdoses on pills.
SPEAKER_04He takes a whole bunch of oxycodone, I think.
SPEAKER_02Just like his cat. Yep. And so she he ends up dying, which then you see Wish Nicky consoling, telling him to wake up, then all of a sudden steps out of it. Because he's dead.
SPEAKER_04He's dead. So there's no reason to reason to be obsessed. Right.
SPEAKER_02But here's here's the kicker that I think everyone kind of like digresses because that's when the movie stops.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So again, the category is men ruining women's lives. Sh I think the the the the uh director came out and said that she actually got charged with a triple homicide.
SPEAKER_04So also there was another thing, uh Curry Barker is actually gonna do a follow-up.

SPEAKER_04For what happens to Nikki after.

SPEAKER_04Unless she kills herself.

SPEAKER_02I don't know. And she even like you can hear her as like it's kind of fading out and going into the credits is you know, what did you do? What did and I can't tell if she's if she's talking to herself.

SPEAKER_02Or or right, or she's talking to Bear. Like, what did you do? Because to her, she doesn't remember any of that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because she was locked away in far, far away. And it's like the the movie, the Jordan Peel movie. Um Get Out. Get out, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You're just kind of in the sunken place.
SPEAKER_04Right. I think that's where she was at.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. So super sad. Um that'd be kind of cool if they did a like a follow-up.
SPEAKER_04I think they're going to. He was already talking about it, so that'd be cool. But yeah, um, my kind of uh final thoughts and whatnot. Um I did enjoy this movie. It's just a lot to take in, especially with like how everybody has told me their points of view. Yeah. And whatnot, and I'm like, damn, I didn't even fucking clock that. Um but it makes sense. Um and I think the cat theory works.

Luckily, my friend Stoney, she's married to a wonderful man and has a beautiful family with this man and has a great life with him. And so this will not happen to her, but in a in a in an alternate universe, if that was too, how much pro how much more proactive I would have been to figure out what was wrong. Right.
