When Intuition And Logic Disagree {B'Day Fun D1 Ep 208}
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Ever felt a quiet pull in your body while your brain builds a flawless case against it? I open up the messy, very human space where intuition and logic collide and how to navigate that tension without freezing or overthinking your way out of clarity.
I start by mapping the difference. Logic offers facts you can defend, timelines you can explain, and plans that win approval. Intuition arrives differently. Sometimes it’s a whisper; sometimes it’s a full‑body yes that you can’t source or prove. Through a simple bus‑breakdown story, I show how panic borrows logic’s voice, worry sounds practical, while intuition cuts through with a clean directive that leads to connection and calm. That small choice reveals a bigger lesson, that ignoring your gut isn’t neutral. The cost shows up as drained energy, fuzzy focus, and choices that look correct on paper but feel wrong in your bones.
From there, I get practical. I share how to sense the body’s signals, separate fear from guidance, and let logic and intuition partner rather than compete. Logic is excellent for vetting risks and resourcing a plan. Intuition is the compass that sets direction beyond the available data. You’ll hear why intuition doesn’t vanish when you dismiss it. It returns as tension or persistent nudges and how to build trust through simple check‑ins, tracking clean choices, and noticing where peace follows action. I also push back on the idea that intuition is just past experience; it often moves faster and reaches farther than your résumé can explain.
If you’re a thoughtful skeptic, a creative overthinker, or a leader who needs decisions that are both courageous and coherent, this conversation gives you a grounded framework. I want you to feel the difference between fear’s tightness and intuition’s steady clarity, and to use both hemispheres as allies. Intuition to choose, logic to implement. Listen, reflect, and try one small experiment today. Ask your body first, then let your mind refine the path. If this resonated, subscribe, share with a friend who overthinks, and leave a review with your biggest “gut versus brain” moment.

Setting Up The Dilemma
How Intuition Speaks Through The Body
Why Logic Feels Safer
The Bus Story And A Choice
Intuition Never Leaves
SPEAKER_00Hi everyone and welcome to Truce Day Talks with Darlene. I'm excited about this episode topic because I've talked about intuition and logic so many times. And now I want to talk about when intuition and logic disagree. Isn't that interesting? They do actually disagree sometimes. Let's think about this. There are times that logic and intuition can actually split. Because logic lays out the facts. This makes sense. This is smart. This is safe. Yet intuition says something quieter. Sometimes it's loud, sometimes it's quiet. Just depends how it comes through for you. And when the intuition says something quieter, it can be often inconvenient and sometimes disruptive. And that's powerful because it can be disruptive. You can feel the tension in your body before you can actually explain it. And it may not be tension because your intuition will come through somehow. For me, normally I don't feel tension. If I feel tension, then I'm going to listen even deeper. Because for me, tension means something big. And guess what? The hardest part is both of them can sound intelligent. And so, what do you do? When intuition and logic disagree, it's never neutral, and you will feel it. And this is why in advertising, some of them advertise for the logic mind and others for what they call the emotional. Same thing with intuition, it's there. Now, why why do we usually choose logic first? And how many of us do choose logic first? I used to a lot. Until I really learnt to actually listen to my body first, and then my intuition came through even stronger. My intuition's been there since, well, opened, like opened again since I was about 17. And when we think about logic, it's defendable, and you can explain it to other people. Intuition is harder to justify, and it can feel risky, especially when it contradicts a good plan and you can't prove intuition. Choosing logic feels responsible, and choosing intuition feels like you're taking off your masks and you're leaving yourself exposed. And it can be so scary. It really can be scary to do that. What if I choose wrong? Guess what? So what? So what if you choose wrong? It's a lesson. Life is full of lessons. Every single day is a lesson. Every single day. Now, today the bus broke down. I was going to um study, the bus broke down. Now my little panic mind happened, and thankfully the other lady on the bus was also going to TAFE as well. Guess what? I started chatting to her. Now, my logic mind wanted to come in and go, let's worry, let's worry, let's worry. My intuition, though, there wasn't, there was nothing, like there was no voice, no nothing. It was a clear, full-body intuition. Talk to this lady. Guess what? We chatted all the way. Another boss came, we got to TAFEFE. I got there a few minutes late. So what? I got to know another person in this world. How awesome is that? If I'd listened to my logic, I would have stayed in panic mode. Because my logic was it was panicking, even though it sounds like it should be logical. The logic was, oh my goodness, we're going to be late. We can't be late, blah, blah, blah. So I listened to my intuition. They clashed, and of course, it triggered a little bit of fear until my ish intuition came in. And that is why this is a part that no one likes admitting. Even when we choose logic, intuition does not go away. It never goes away. It is always there. Always. This is why I'm so passionate about teaching about intuition, about teaching about your psychic abilities, because they are so powerful and they can really help your life. Now, for me, intuition always wins. Logic works with the available information, and intuition works beyond it. Now, a lot of people say intuition is just your experiences, your skills, your knowledge. No, it's beyond that. It's something, as we've said in this episode, you can't explain it. You can't justify it. It's just something. For me, all my abilities have opened. My vision is a clearer. Sometimes I will get clear vision. Today I just knew. I knew there was a full body knowing, and I went with it. You can override your intuition, you can't silence it though. It will surface later. That is why working with your intuition is so powerful. Because it is going to keep coming back and keep coming back until you listen to it. And then it comes back in a fantastic way. Your intuition is always there. It is always there. When are you going to listen to it? Because the cost of ignoring it is using clarity, energy, peace, money, all of those things. Don't ignore it. Learn to listen to it. I love my logic mind and I love my intuition. My left and right brain are working so well together now. Because what happened was when I started working in the healthcare field, my abilities had opened up as well. So I learned to work with both of them at the same time. That is why my left and right brains love working together. Because it's powerful. Now, you might want to delay your intuition. You might even argue with it. But eventually you circle back to what you knew from the start. Again, logic is fantastic, intuition is fantastic. When are you going to listen to your intuition? Thank you for watching and listening. I'll see you on the next episode.
