Hey there guys. I hope everybody is doing really well. This is an episode called Inside the Shop, and it is a snapshots uh number seven, I think. Uh you guys, some of you really love these episodes. Some people might not like being called out, but um, it's really where I'm going around on the actual whatnot app, and I am going in and seeing what people are doing right, what the talk is, what they could maybe improve on, etc. Um, so, anyways, here it is, 337 central time in the morning, and I got up because of my dog winding up and on the bed. Anyways, long story short, I got online and uh I'm gonna tell you where I am and what happened because there was some drama llamas going on, um, meaning that you know there was talk about something that happened on whatnot. And I was like, what is going on? So I she had just started, um, and I'm gonna tell you what her name is. It's thrifting t-h r I f t-i-n-g with w h I mean w i t h Littlein. L-I-T-T-L-I-N. Maybe her name's Little Lynn. I don't know. Um, let's see, let's look in her show notes. She has show notes, yay her. Um, it says thanks for checking out my shop. I truly appreciate every bid, share, and purchase. All sales are final as seen live. And items are vintage with wear. I will do my best to make uh to you know talk about call-outs. And then she says, no cancellations, no refunds, and bid responsibly. Okay, I I know what you guys think about this being a good idea to put, but I have said this time and time again. You you can't really say no cancellations because there's nothing to really prevent you from allowing them. Sure, you can say you don't want to accept their cancellation, but then whatnot can override you with their policies. We won't go too far into that, but then you can get bad negative reviews and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I have other episodes on this, but um, I think it really it's kind of shooting yourself in the foot when you do that. It also says no refunds, it also says bid responsibly. I've talked about all of these things, but um, when you say no refunds, really whatnot can override you on cancellations and refunds. And to say bid responsibly, well, let's say if you have a credit card and you're on this app, or you have a debit card and you're on this app, whatever, you're an adult. And so everybody obviously bid responsibly, but that's that should be the case, guys. You should know that. Um, it says, please contact me first with any issues, and we will work it out together to resolve it. So I'm guessing she's had more than one issue to put that here. But guys, I got on her show and she was talking about how somebody had sent her a mean, and I don't have the words, but she didn't read it out loud. Um now everybody everybody's talking about what what's happened. I mean, it's like this whole big issue, and and that's why I was like, I'm just gonna come on and talk about this because it's so sad and ridiculous what's going on. Anyways, she was talking about how she sent three flower packets uh to somebody, not just one flower packet, three. Um, and sure you can get them at the dollar store, the gardening store, and it's not some Starbucks $50 gift card or whatever, but whoever clicked the giveaway to jump in it to get that giveaway, it she probably told them ahead of time. They knew what they were getting. So I've talked about this before, guys, in other episodes here and there, but this is so unbelievably ridiculous that we live in such an evil world where somebody would literally, out of their kindness of their heart, give you something, send it to you for free on their dime. So the very minimalist she could have got sent it to you, you know, was a little under a dollar 70, what is it, 74, 78 cents. But I'm thinking three packages is not gonna go in a plain white envelope. She probably spent like a dot, what is it, a dollar thirty-two, a dollar thirty-four to send it to you, plus the other. So let's just round up. Let's just say a dollar, maybe a dollar and a half or something with tax and everything for the flower seeds, plus the dollar and a half. So three dollars. She's giving you some and her time. Let's not forget her time. She had to buy it, she had to send it, she had to put the stamp on it. She might have sent a card with it. So when people send a giveaway and then they get a bad comment, you know, from somebody, I think this really is a huge issue and problem. This is a lady who is a hard-working lady, she's very cute, she's got blonde hair, but she was talking about that when I came in. And when I first got in, there was only like nine of us. Then it got up. There's 17 people right now. But I'm gonna go back through the comments and see if I could how far I can go back just to tell you because I that's why I was like, I'm gonna do it. Um somebody uncaged by Lisa, cute name, uncaged by Lisa said, Well, do not let them ungrateful people steal your energy. And then Cherished Claw, no, Sherry's Closet, C-H-E-R-I-S closet said, I'm literally fighting back tears and I don't even want to do this now. Um, and then somebody named Shades of Brown, Shades underscore of underscore brown, said, I've had two bad reviews for giveaways of playing cards. Don't get in the giveaways if you don't want them. Exactly. And then so they all talk about negative energy, whatever. And then I said, I we all need to say some prayers for these people um that complain about giveaways. You know, I just uh, anyways, um, somebody said they could have just told me, hey, you pre we prefer you don't. I thought I was being respectful. The these are just I mean, it's one comment after another after another, but it was people all talking about how, you know, one girl got kicked out of a show just because she asked if she could um shout out her upcoming show. And I'm like, this is so ridiculous. It's like maybe there should be some way that I don't know. I I don't know. Is there a way for I'm thinking it through, guys, is there a way for people? There isn't because there's gonna be there's always gonna I was like, is there a way that we could like click if somebody is doing something really bad? You can report like on you know, shows like I'm gonna do this again just to show you guys if you haven't heard this. I'm gonna click on thrifting with little little little lynn. I don't know, little lynn. Um, anyways, I'm going to click on her, and then what comes up is her you can tip or boost, you can view her profile, message, mention in chat, block, or report. If you go to the very bottom, and I'm not doing this because she's lovely and wonderful, but I'm just saying, you can say if there's a live emergency, like if somebody's having a heart attack, uh, if there's inappropriate content content, like somebody's smoking marijuana or showing their body parts, you know. Um, there's if there's harassment, like, you know, sexual comments, selling drugs or prohibited counterfeit items, um, you know, uh there's other ones like gambling, product abuse, and and then as you click them, it gets into other stuff. There's either one for youth safety, but at the very bottom, there's one that's called other product violations, and it's reckless behavior, smoking and vaping, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay. Um, and then at the very bottom is the one I typically use. It's called Dead Inactive Streams because I don't want people not doing their job and putting a piece of paper up and you know going into it so you can report it, but there's there's no way that you can say that you can report that you gave you know three flower packets to somebody and they gave you a bad review, then what do you what are you stuck with it? You know, you're stuck with a bad review because you did something nice. There's nothing, I've never had a bad review, I don't think, for a giveaway. Um, that's not ever happened to me, but I feel so sad for once again. I'm gonna say her name. I think you guys should go to her show. I am pretty sure she's in the vintage category, but it's t-h R I F T I N G thrifting, and then the word with W-I-T-H and Little Lynn. L-I-T-T L-I-N. It's little, I mean, not the whole word little, it's a little bit, you know, um, L-I-T-T is short for little and L-I-N- Lynn. Um, okay, but yeah, I mean, I I said, please say this. Somebody else is saying, can I make them famous and share their name since they are so worried they might lose a follower? Um see if she I asked her to post what her issue was. Hold on, I'm looking. And this girl said, You're welcome to uh put any of your shows and and put your shows here. But uh Sherry's Closet said, I'm trying, but I just feel so deflated right now. It happened right before I came into your show. So she got kicked out of a show right before she came into this show. I know, I mean, guys, this is just it makes me so sad. Um clothing, and then um I do the minis and the littles, the little small minis, the littles. I I do those. And then um I'm starting the vintage costume jewelry. Um, I have some silver, the 925. I have some gold field, I have some pearls, real pearls. Um, so I'm doing the jewelry show, and I'm hoping my other display cases come in today. I don't have enough display cases to do my jewelry show. But you know what? If they don't come in today, I'm gonna schedule a jewelry show tonight. It's gonna be my first jewelry show, whether my display case is coming or not, I'm gonna do a jewelry show. Can you run 53? I absolutely can.

Actually, I remember this. I had gone to her show before and she said she was gonna do jewelry and she couldn't couldn't do it. And my only suggestion for you, uh thrifting with Little Lynn, um, is that you put your show note down, like put it in there so that people can schedule to come, whether you have the display or not, just put it out a week or two so that people could click on it. Because when she told me that last time I was in here, I asked her, I was like, Well, your show's not up, and she goes, Well, it's not up because I don't have my displays or my info in my stuff yet. And I'm like, Yeah, but still go ahead, y'all, and put it down in your show notes because if I can't click on it and be reminded, then I'm just gone and I don't come back. Okay, we're gonna leave that. But honestly, it was three things before I get keep going on to the next thing. It was three things, and I think number one was people complaining about the giveaways. Number two was getting kicked out of shows and getting banned for asking if you could share your show, which unbelievable. I just the the lack of kindness in that situation is just unbelievable. And this girl, uh, I don't she doesn't say her name anywhere, I don't think. But um, this girl, Thrifting with Little Lynn, um, and myself and lots of other people are kind guys. I am, you can always see in my show notes. We say, hey, drop your drop your um upcoming shows, share it out, because that is part of what the beauty of whatnot. I mean, that's really one of the greatest things. So it makes me sad that a few bad apples can ruin, you know, the bat the bundle or the basket. But that truly happens. And I think one girl in here said, you know, you can't let them steal your energy. I said we got to pray for them, but we just gotta keep going. But I think it's sickening, I think it's gross, I think it's terrible. I'm sure I could come up with many more synonyms on how terrible it is. Um, but don't be one of these people. If you're gonna click on the button, you are taking the chance that you might not get something that you want in that giveaway. But to to text this lady, I almost want to see her text. Um, to text her a mean response instead of just being thankful and gracious and moving on with your day, unbelievable. Um, so those two things are terrible. There was something else, it was three things, and I honestly can't remember what it was, but it all started with negative talk, and I don't think that's the way to start the day before four o'clock in the morning, even. Do you love the thing is and I I I get this when it comes to clothes, that she's holding right now a winter outfit, and we're moving into summer. It was like 86 degrees where I am. I get she's in South Dakota, but I'm in Texas. It was 86 degrees. One of the reasons I don't like to sell clothes is because not only do you have to have the right season, the right pattern, the right material, the right size, the right buyer, the right um, you know, it's it's the right price. Everything has to come in. So selling clothes can be really great if you have something that's pretty common, like t-shirts and whatever. But if you see, it's a new day as the brand, so it's Target. So she got a palette. But the thing is, it can be really hard to find the match. Um, so t-shirts, t-shirts are easy because lots of people wear t-shirts. She's being really honest. I like her outfit. Her pants are the cutest. They've got these like white stripes.

Here's the thing: you gotta connect with your people, whatever it is. I was doing um a consult with a nurse the other day. I'm like, put that you're a nurse mom. Put that you have um, she has what are those yappy dogs? Oh, the little taquito talking dogs. What are those? Oh my gosh, it's four o'clock in the morning. What are those dogs called? Do you know what I'm talking about? Chihuahuas. She's a what chihuahua. I said, put that you're a nurse, put where you live, put that you're a chihuahua mom, you know, put that you're married, put something that people can relate with because we're all human, right? And so put your name in there, put what you like, where you live. The fact that she lives close to Mount Rushmore would be perfect to put in the show notes because anybody who comes in and reads that can go, oh no, dude, I live 30 minutes from there. You and I are neighbors. I can now do free pickup or whatever. Always, always, guys, try to use your show notes. But I think this girl is gonna, Kristen, is gonna do really, really well because she has got a lot of personality. But I will say, Kristen, put show notes. And number two, you only have one thing listed, which is basically she's doing what I call dry pulls for three dollars, which is great. But people like to see what's in it. It can be a little bit much. I will say that I this is not a bad thing necessarily, but it can be a little bit much for some people to come into a room when there's multiple people talking and there's music. I know this because I've done enough interviews and I've talked to enough people. Um, some people can handle it, some people will just automatically leave. But she's talking, there's somebody behind the camera who you can't see who is talking, and there's music. So that that can be a little bit much sometimes. Um, I guess there's they're doing pretty good because there's four almost 40 people in the room. Um, and she does have stuff listed. Yay you. Um, she's got 28 products listed. The first thing is a tooled leather. What is this? It's a purse. It's a tool leather purse, very country kind of. Um, oh, I don't even know what this vibe is. Um, gosh, I know somebody told me about castle core the other day. I was like, what the hell is castle core? I knew what what uh you know granny core was or cottage core, but now there's castle core, and I'm like, there's a name for what she's selling here, but I don't know it. It's kind of western, I guess I would say is western, but she's got some really cute um dresses, shirts, maxi dresses, there's jewelry purses. I like the fact that it's not just jeans or just t-shirts. Um, I appreciate that. Okay, let's listen to what she's saying real quick.

So I think that's an area that they could fix that, especially now that we have what I'm calling the window shop where you can people can see what it is. Right now, they're not selling a bull's head, right? That's just their picture that says they're selling something. It says mini mood tote, mini mood tote. So she must have shown what it is inside that. It's like a teeny tiny little purse, and these teeny tiny little purses are going for 34 bucks a piece. So I guess they're very popular, and I'm just not cool enough to know this info. But um, anyways, 38 people in the room, good show notes, good pictures, good fun, lots of laughs. I'm sure we can call you West Wood West Decor, but I think he is a paid person for the company. Maybe he doesn't own the company. I don't know. It doesn't, it doesn't say, but I think it's nice to say your human name. Um you know, once again, social science and all the research will say that the more you say about yourself, your shop, where you live, who you are, what you're doing, um, even even if you show your face, your show is gonna do better than if you don't show your face. And I will just say if you're moving from different category to different category, you guys really need to look at that. You know, am I in the right category today? Did I change my show? Make sure all of your shipping and your category and everything is right, your spelling, your show notes, make sure all of that is right before you go on. Um, there's so many shows that I wish we're on right now. Did you guys know that there's a candles category? There is a candles category, and I do like that, but nobody's on. Anyways, that being said, guys, uh, you know, some of these shows are always better than others in different times because it's all based on who's on, who I see, who talks, what that looks like, whether the show, you know, freezes up or whether they communicate back and forth, whatever.
