Good luck Duck, "If you bring the duck, you bring the luck"
Well, good morning. It's April the 13th, 2026, and straight from the highly caffeinated studio, this is Real Slot Talk with yours truly, Willie B. Now, I just returned from a two-day stint at Danville, Caesars, Virginia. Now, I had some really good luck, but I got a couple things I want to tell you about because the casino is not just about slot machines. I know I hate to bring it to you, but it it it there is a lot more going on there than just uh playing slots. I'm not talking about table game, I'm talking about music venues. Uh, you know, Caesars, Virginia, and pretty much every casino now has some sort of music venue. Uh uh for Caesars, Virginia is called the Pantheon Theater. And they had uh the collective soul band. Do you remember those guys? Yeah, and uh they're still rocking out, man. They I'm saying they put on a show like they were a bunch of teenagers, they did a phenomenal job. Where they find the energy to do that for an hour and a half, I have no idea, but I can promise you I can't match it. But I did my best from my seat, that is, and but it was a really great show. They put on a great performance. Uh, but you know, the thing about Danville is they have that other little bar area outside of the uh casino area where the machines are, and they have some really great bands, and one in particular, if you haven't had a chance to catch them, they are one of Danville's own, and they are called Creekside. Now, Ray and his band, I'm telling you, they put on a professional show. They are so good, and I don't think that there's a single song that they don't know the words to, but they I'm telling you, they do a phenomenal job. I absolutely love that band. They're one of my absolute favorites that comes to Danville. And if you haven't seen them, and they you can go on to Facebook page and catch up because they're they play all over town, they play everywhere. Uh, but go check them out. It's creekside. You gotta go check them out. I promise you, you won't you won't regret it. You won't be mad at me for sending you, I promise. So let's talk about something that I have been doing my damnedest to prove. Now I'll go ahead and warn you, I'm still having some voice issues, and after two trips to the urgent care over the last two weeks, finally found out that hey, guess what? You're dealing with pneumonia, that's why you can't get rid of it. So I am a little better today. The show must go on, uh, but I am up on my feet today, so we are doing a little better. But I want to talk to you about multipliers. Now, it I don't know because I haven't tried it. Uh, I don't know that if it would apply to other games as well as it does to say Buffalo Link or Dragon Link or any of these uh aka link type games where you have a hold and spin. When you get the hold and spin feature, the number one thing you want to see hit that screen is a word. And you know the words mini minor major. Uh hopefully grand, but you know, we'll settle for the mini minor major. I have just all but proved that when you and I'm not saying it works all the time, but what I'm saying is it is definitely heightens your possibility because you know that's what we play for. We play for the possibility when you move up the board on the multiplier, so you got your minimum bet, then you got the next bet, and so on, those are multipliers. If you go with that at least the two-time multiplier and bare minimum, uh then you will see more words, and if you go to that third or fourth, even max bet, but you don't have to go max bet, that's what I'm telling you. That second and third level bet, that two time, three time, that is like the sweet spot. Now, what I'm starting to discover, and please, somebody correct me if you have had different results. The two time, three time multiplier, not all machines are gonna receive that the same way. You may sit down, if you sit down at four dragon links in a row, and you sit down at the one on the end, and it don't matter which end, left hand, right end, but if you sit down at the one on the end, and you try one cent denom at let's say a 250 bet, that's mid multiplier. It may or may not pay. You go to two cents mid-bet. Uh what are we talking? We're talking 350 or $3. It may or may not hit. You go to a nickel, and you see that what we're we're doing here, we're going right on up the board. Now, one of the things I've noticed is especially here in the last few weeks, is every machine seems to have its sweet spot. Uh one machine may want mid-bet at one cent denom. The machine next to it may not do anything at a one cent denom. It may like five cent or ten cent denom. I just understand the higher you go up in denam and you go to that mid-bet, you're talking, you're talking more dollars. But in that one cent to ten cent denom three time multiplier, you're going to see more words. I was playing between two gentlemen uh on some Dragon Lynx right inside the front door. I sat down, I couldn't, I had really uh honestly lost $200 sitting there at that one machine because you know me, I was chasing the max out major. I I stand guilty, okay? Guilty as charged. Never you mind. That machine, I started out at a two dollar denom. I went to one dollar, I went to ten cent, I went to five cent, two cent. I got down to one cent denom and finally at 250 on uh which is a three-time uh multiplier bet on one cent denom, it hit and it it it I started winning, and but it would not hit on any other denom. So the guy to my left, he's watching me and he says I'd gotten a holding spin bonus, and I had like 200 two 100 balls, I had four minis, I had a minor, it was crazy. It wound up and it was about 500 and something dollars in that one holding spin. And he said, That's crazy the size of the orbs in that holding spin. And I said, It's all about the multiplier. So the guy to my right, he's listening, he's he's checking it out, and they're like, I don't know about that. Well, I hit another holding spin about 10 spins later. I had a $250 ball and a $500 ball, I had a minor and a major, all in one hold and spin. And the next thing I know, the guys on both sides of me, they're clicking to one cent denom and they're going 250 bet. Excuse me. And so that was kind of funny, but it it wasn't hitting for their machine, and that's kind of when I started figuring out. Not every machine has that same sweet spot. These link games, Dragon Link, uh, Buffalo Link, etc., they seem to have a sweet spot. It's that certain denom and that certain, but is your the my next question is excuse me, uh I tell you this the voice issues are for real. The uh it's almost like my voice issues are like the random number generator that hits when it wants to, but it it it each machine has this set sweet spot, and it's almost as if is your bankroll going to survive long enough to figure out what that sweet spot is, because by the time you go through multiple genomes and multiple bet levels, you're you're already out of money, and well, you you figured it out at the last minute, but now it's too late. So there is that, but just you know, be careful. But that it's definitely something that I would love to hear some rebuttal on this because it's really becoming a a uh a huge issue uh as we try to figure out kind of to get peek behind the curtain, if you will, in the mind of a slot machine. Now I will tell you that my biggest wins uh last night came from Buffalo Link. I could not believe it. I had one machine and it literally just continued to pay. I was on two cent denom $6 bet, which is mid-bet, and it it hit a couple times, and I was up uh twelve hundred dollars, and then I was like, okay, it quit paying. So I thought, okay, well, I'm gonna drop it to four dollars, which is the two-time bet. And the very next spin on two on the two cent denom at four dollars, it dropped a five hundred dollar ball, which at two cents is you guessed it, a thousand dollars. That's crazy, but it's it's definitely that sweet spot, and that machine seems to always love the two cent denom. I can waste my entire bankroll betting penny, max bet. I can do five cents, ten cent, it doesn't matter. But when I hit two cent, it's like, okay, now you understand. Now you're hitting the sweet spot. Okay, I'm gonna give you some money, and but it was it was just really, and then we hit a um a big jackpot on the other machine to the left of it, same thing, and it was two cent denom, but we hit a thirty one hundred dollar uh jackpot, which by the way, kind of refreshed my memory about what we talked about a couple weeks ago about the slot attendants, because I I really noticed that it was that moment that we miss of that slot attendant coming over there, and uh, you know, the young lady that came over and paid out my jackpot. She said, and I tipped her, she said, you know, wow, I she said, I I really appreciate this. And I knew for that moment how how genuine she was that she meant she basically what she was saying without saying is hey, we're missing out on getting these tips, and so the fact that you guys are still tipping on these big jackpots is very appreciative, and so you know, just don't forget that, guys. These slot attendants, you know, they're there for us, they're to keep our game going, gameplay, and to keep the flow going, and they'll help you out in any way that they can. I've not met a single slot attendant at especially at Caesar Danville, that hasn't just gone above and beyond to help out any way they can. And so it's just it's really hurts to see that they've they're losing a lot of tips since the jackpot change from 1200 to 2000. But you know, it's uh it's part of the thing, and and we gotta we gotta adjust, and I'm hoping that the casinos adjusted with them as well. And now I did notice there was a lot more slot attendants on the floor, so I'm I'm thinking that they probably must have figured out some way to attain the slot attendance without uh dipping into their their paycheck that puts groceries on their tables. But like I said, I don't know behind that curtain, so I can't speak to it. But I would like to know what you think about the bet multipliers. I am going to keep asking this question because it is a very unique question, and I want to know what you think. But until next week, until I talk to you again, may the jackpots be with you, and I will see you right here behind this big old mic next week. Have a great day, and I'll see you at the ATM. Bye bye.
