Good luck Duck, "If you bring the duck, you bring the luck"

SPEAKER_00

Well, good morning. It's June the 1st, 2026, and straight from the High Lake Cafe studio, this is Real Slop Talk with yours truly, Will Bryce. So we missed last week. I do apologize, but after nine straight weeks of pneumonia, I am finally back on my feet and have my voice back. About 80%. It's still a little scratchy and a little squeaky, but hey, you know, adds to the uh aesthetics of the podcast, I guess. But I wanted to get on here and do a podcast today about the new Light and Wonder game. Now, you don't hear me brag on Light and Wonder very often, and it's not that they're not a good game designer. That's not it at all. It's just those damn pigs in the hard hats. They literally just devour my bankroll every time I play them. And I love them. I I can't not play it at least once every time I go. I was not expecting a new bank of Huffin' Puff when I went to the casino this weekend in Danville. And as I stood there and marveled at the just sheer size of this game, it was unreal. So it was a bank of four of them, and they were encased in this really bright neon graphics. Uh it's just a spectacle to see. And I did not know that the banner running along the top, scrolling in the uh neon lights, or it's actually uh not neon lights, but it's uh I'm not sure the technology, but was like all the different options that are on the wheel if you get the wheel spin. Now you have to go Google this thing, or at least go on YouTube and watch this game. It's absolutely impressive. So I thought this is Locket Link meets Huff and Puff. And I thought, how cool is that? My two favorite games, Dragon Link and the Pigs, have teamed up to destroy my bankroll. How wonderful. And that's what they did, but I had to sit down and try it anyway. I hit the bonus a couple times, actually, and I was just only betting a dollar because what I wanted to do is I wanted to see the features. I wasn't didn't really sit down and expect to win, I just wanted to see the different features of the new game. Now, behind the wolf is this moon, and it's basically your perceived progression. Uh, as the moon gets bigger, it's like the bonus is more imminent. Good luck with that. But what was really cool was I hit the three buzzsaws and got the wheel spin. Now, on your typical Huff and Puff game, when you hit the wheel spin, it will say look up, and you look a couple feet up on the machine, and there's the wheel spinning. Not this one. This one, you had to look at the very top, and the banner that ran all the way around that uh group of machines was the wheel spin. How cool was that? And I don't even remember all the options that there were for you to win uh like super duper jackhammer, uh super duper mansion feature. Okay, I don't know what because I I didn't land on that. I don't know what a super duper mansion feature is, but I gotta figure it's gotta be pretty good. Anything that's usually super duper is above the benchmark, right? But I played the game for approximately probably 30 minutes and really enjoyed it. The first, and even though I didn't win a whole lot, I hit about three different bonuses and it it kept me playing for about 30 minutes. I was thankful for that because I wanted to see the different features. I tried hitting it on my favorite denom, which is the nickel, at the 60 cent, which is three dollar bet. I tried multiple times and it just was not having it. It would not do a line hit, nothing. So I'm like, okay, we're going back to Penny Denom and $1 bet. But at least I was able to see some of the features and stuff that it had. Now I'm gonna tell you the whole Locket link on the uh Huff and Puff link, again, uh really cool. And for a dollar bet on a penny, some of the size of the, and basically instead of on the dragon link where you have the orb or the fireball, uh, with this one, it's the moon. So it's the a moon with the dollar amount. And at a dollar a bet, I was getting on a one cent denom, I was getting amounts like the mini, I was getting $24. I had one bonus that it gave me four different moons at $24 each. And I was that was impressive. I thought, man, this is uh I I understand that the volatility of the whole Huff and Puff series is basically a higher volatility machine, and every time that you add more features to any game, it also increases the volatility. So there is that to consider. But I I I would highly recommend you searching out this game if it's in a casino near you and going and giving it a try, because my hat is actually off. I'll say hard hat. My hard hat is actually off today to light and wonder for an awesome game design. Because if you walk through the casino these days, you're seeing so much repetitiveness in game design. So it was nice to see that a game manufacturer stepped it up and said, you know, we're gonna double down on this one. We got the pigs with the hard hats, we still got the buzzsaws, but now we're gonna add a locket link. And we're also gonna add this massively cool banner at the top, uh, and in these LED lights, and it's just phenomenal. Um, I I want to go back and play it again so that I can hopefully check out some more of the different features that are on the wheel because I'm sorry, curiosity's got the best of me. What in the wide world of gaming is super duper and who came up with that technology? But for you know, an old country boy, you got my attention. Anything that's super duper's gotta be good, right? So, regardless of how much I win, it's it was I got the super duper feature, so I'm gonna walk away and be like, wow, that was super duper. So, or maybe I lose and it's like, well, I got the super, maybe I didn't get the duper, or maybe I got duped and didn't get the super. But either way, it was a fun game to play. I I tell you, absolutely, go this is one for the books to go check out and and give it a spin and see what you think. And if you do go play it, or if you have played it and won big on it, or if you've hit the super duper feature, I definitely want to know about that. Uh, I did give out quite a few ducks this weekend. I've it's an absolute uh fun thing to do because you know you bring the duck, you bring the luck. But uh had some good wins this weekend. The wife and I both hit some really good wins this weekend, kept us playing. We we played on uh mostly Caesar's money on Friday night, and that was a sheer joy, let me tell you. Uh Saturday, however, we donated it all back, and but we won't talk about that. But we will talk about the good luck duck, though, because the good luck duck came through, and it's always worth giving out those little resin ducks, and it gives people a smile, and that is one of the coolest things of going to the casino for me now is handing out these ducks. I was playing Buffalo Link, the other one, the other entity that destroys my bankroll and my self-esteem at the same time, is you know, the Buffalo Link. I love them and and I'm addicted to them. And there was a lady to my right, and she said, How are you hitting these bonuses? I can't get this machine to hit anything. And I said, Let me help you out. So I reached in my pocket and got out my little Ziploc bag of ducks and pulled out a good luck duck for her, and I said, Here you go. And literally within just a couple of minutes, she hit a bonus, and she just looked at me. I said, I don't know, I don't claim that the duck good luck duck works, but I can't claim that it doesn't either. So there is that. So until I see you again next week, don't forget to caffeinate and conquer, and I will see you in line at the ATM. Have a great day, and thanks for listening.
