Welcome, welcome, welcome to Breakfast with Jesus. This is Evangelist Linda Teresa Benjamin, the host. And the devotional topic is which voice will you here follow? Which voice will you follow? Scripture is coming from John chapter 12 verses 28 to 30 and 1 Samuel chapter 3 verses 10. John chapter 12, 28 to 30 reads, Father, glorify thy name. Then came a voice from heaven saying, I have both glorified it and will glorify it again. Thy people who stood nearby and heard it said that it thundered. Others said, An angel spoke to him. Jesus answered, This voice did not come because of me, but for your sake. First Samuel chapter 3:10 says, And the Lord came and stood and called us at other times. Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak for thy servant heareth. O merciful and gracious God, let me diminish so that you they will see you and hear you, that your word will go out as you promise, and will not come back to you void, but will accomplish what you have promised for the people of this world. God still speaks. Beloved, the scriptures testify that Yahweh has never been silent. He spoke to Abraham and called him out from the familiar to the promised. He spoke to Moses from the burning bush and commanded him to remove his shoes because the ground beneath his feet was holy. He spoke to Saul on the road to Damascus, stopped him in his track, changed his name, changed his direction, and gave him a new purpose. Every person who truly heard the voice of God had to make a decision. They could not remain the same. They had to obey, surrender, and move by faith. And now in these last days, Yahweh has spoken to us through his son, the appointed heir over all things. So the question comes to us with urgency. Are we hearing his voice and are we ready to answer? Hearing his voice above the noise, children of God, I ask you this morning with all seriousness, which voice will you follow? Yeshua declared, My sheep heard my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. You cannot follow a voice you do not hear. You cannot obey a word you refuse to receive. His voice is speaking through the written word of God. But we must learn to hear him above the noise, above the confusion, and above all competent voices in the world. In John chapter 12, verse 29, some heard the voice of God and said it thundered. Others said an angel had spoken. They heard the sound, but they missed the substance. They heard the noise, but they missed the message. And if we are not careful, we can sit in the presence of God, hear the word of God, feel the stirring of God, and still miss what God is saying to us. Voices that hinder our hearing, brothers and sisters. There are many voices fighting for the attention of our hearts. They do not always shout. Sometimes they whisper. They promise comfort, pleasure, popularity, and success, but they draw us away from the voice of God. These voices include personal gratification and the belief that money is everything. You know, there are people who think money is all and be all and end all. These are gossip, criticism, trauma, sickness, and grief. These burdens can weigh down the soul and make it hard to receive truth. But even in the middle of pain, God is still speaking. Even when the heart is wounded, God is still calling. Even when the world is loud, the voice of the Lord remains clear to those who are willing to listen. Put on your listening air, brothers and sisters in Christ. Respond to the voice of Christ. Do you hear his voice when he says, I am the way, the truth, and the life? John chapter 14, verses 16. That is not merely a statement to admire. It is the truth to obey. His call demands commitment. His call requires surrender. Like Moses, like Abraham, like Samuel. We must answer, Here I am. We must say, Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. We are called to come under the grace of his love, receive his mercy, and walk in the redemption he had provided. Can you hear his voice, brothers and sisters? His voice asking, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? Isaiah chapter 6, verses 8 to 15. God is still looking for willing servants. He is still cleansing lips, preparing hearts, and commissioning his people to carry the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Like Isaiah, our answer must be bold, faithful, and complete. Here am I, send me Lord. The voice of grace. Brothers and sisters, can you hear his voice above the noise? The word declares, He that has ears to hear, let him hear. This is not only a call to listen with your air, it is a call to receive within your heart. Are you spiritual, are your spiritual ears open to the truth coming from our heavenly Father Yahweh? But on your listening ears, brothers and sisters, his voice of the His voice of grace cries out, By grace are you saved. It reminds us that salvation is not earned by our works, purchased by our strength, or secured by our goodness. It is the gift of God. The gift. What a precious gift. Through the crucifixion and resurrection of his son, he had given grace that reaches sinners, mercy that restores the broken, and redemption that covers our sins. What a grace! Put on your listening ears so you can hear what the voice of God is saying. A call to come out and be separated. Can you hear his voice calling us higher? He's calling us to come out from among them and be separated. He's calling us out of carnality and into spirituality, out of darkness and into his marvelous light, out of the compromise and into holiness. He's calling us to set our affection on things above and not on things on the earth. So I asked again, brothers and sisters in Christ, which voice will you follow? Will you follow the voice of the world or will you follow the voice of God? Will you follow the voice that flatters the flesh or the voice that calls the soul into holiness, obedience, and life? Which voice will you follow? Which voice will you follow? The voice that speaks the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ? Will you follow the voice that commands us to love one another as God has loved us? Will you follow the voice that calls you to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior? Live honestly before Him and walk daily as His disciples. This is a voice that says, Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. This is a voice that sends the church beyond the walls, beyond comfort, beyond fear, and into the harvest field. This is a voice that sends you and I to win souls for Jesus Christ. Prepare your hearts to hear God's word. Prepare your hearts to hear the voice of God. Brethren, brethren, when the voice of God comes through a sermon, through the reading of a scripture or through a hymn of praise, something ought to happen on the inside. Faith ought to rise. Conviction ought to awaken. Assurance ought to strengthen the soul. The heart ought to say, Lord, I hear you. If we want to hear his voice clearly, we must prepare our hearts. We must make room for God. We must quiet the noise and take the posture of servant who are ready to obey. Then the posture of a servant is maintaining a consistent prayer life, setting aside time for spiritual rest and reflection. Reading and meditating on the word of God, adding fasting to prayer as your health and wisdom allow. Yahweh can still speak through the pages of scripture. He can still speak through dreams and vision according to his will. He is the same God yesterday, today, and forever. What he did before, he is able to do again. The question is not whether God can speak. The question is whether we are listening, whether we are willing to follow him. Deflection. Take a moment, brothers and sisters in Christ, and reflect. How will you respond to the voice of Yahshua in your life? Will you harden your heart or will you surrender? Will you delay or will you obey? Will you turn away or will you say, Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. Speak, Lord, let your servant hear it. Discipleship. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is the time. Do not wait for a better day. Do not wait for a more convenient season. Today is not promise, and tomorrow may never come. Hear his voice today. Accept Jesus. Confess your sins to him. Repent and be baptized. Come while mercy is calling. Come while grace is reaching. Come while the door is open. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we praise and adore you for your mercies from everlasting to everlasting. Cleanse our ears so that we may hear your voice. Cleanse our hearts so that we may obey your voice. Give us the courage to answer, Here I am. Bless us as we go out and heal what is broken, strengthen what is weak, and deliver us from everlasting danger, seen and unseen. And may the grace of God and the love of Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest, rule, and abide with us now and forevermore. Amen, amen, and amen.
