Welcome, welcome, welcome to Breakfast with Jesus. This is Evangelist Pinder Benjamin. And again, welcome. The topic today is how does God fight for us? The foundational scripture is Nehemiah chapter 4, verses 20. Which says, In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye fither unto us. Our God shall fight for us. O merciful and gracious God. Bless the reading of the scriptures and the discipline ocean. Bless the hearers. Let them hear you, see you, and feel your presence. Let your word go out and accomplish your perfect plan. Brethren, Nehemiah is an example of faith and perseverance. He was a spiritual Jewish leader and a cupbearer to the Persian king. After being released from exile, he became determined to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, renew God's covenant with his people, and restore worship. Although Neremah faced many obstacles while rebuilding the wall, he did not allow opposition to discourage him. His strong faith and discipline, prayer, life enable him to persevere under attack. In the same way, Christians will face obstacles while working for the expansion of Yahweh kingdom. Yet, as children of God, we can persevere through trials when we hold firmly to our faith and maintain a consistent life of prayer. How Yahweh fight for his people. Nehemiah's first defense was to fast and pray for protection. Then he instructed the people to remain watchful and vigilant. He also prepared them for physical opposition while assuring them that Yahweh will fight for them. Yahweh will fight for his people. Scripture reminds us that Yahweh is a man of war who dashes his enemies to pieces. Exodus chapter 15, verses 3 to 6. Therefore, we can trust and that we can trust that he will fight for his people today as he did in yesteryears. Let us consider three ways Yahweh fight for us. He fight for us through others, he fight for us by affecting our foes, and he fight for us by doing something within us. Yahweh fight for us through others. Let's look at that we one way Yahweh fight for his people is by sending others to help, defend, warn, or strengthen them at critical moments. This truth is seen throughout scripture. In Nehemiah days, traveling Jews warn him about the enemies who were preparing to attack. Their warning helped Nehemiah respond with prayer, vigilance, and preparation. Yahweh also used David to defend Israel when the Philistine champion Goliath threatened the army of Israel. While others were afraid, David stepped forward in fate with a sling and a stone, and Yahweh gave him the victory. Later, after David became king, Yahweh again fought against the Philistines in the valley of Raphim. 2 Samuel chapter 5, verse 24. This same pattern appears in the life of Moses. When Moses held up his rod as Israel crossed the Red Sea, Yahweh gave victory and deliverance. Later, when Moses grew wary during battle, Aaron and K came alongside him and held up his hands. Moses did not have to fight alone. Yahweh strengthened him through faithful helpers. Yahweh fight through others for us. Yahweh also used Queen Esther to stand in the guard for her people through courage, fasting, and prayer. He used Pharaoh's daughter to preserve Moses' life when he was placed in a basket on the river. Moses was raised in the very household connected to the threat against his life, showing that Yahweh can protect his purpose even in unlikely places. Beloved, consider the times when someone appeared unexpectedly to defend you, to assist you, to speak on your behalf. Perhaps a stranger, a friend, a family member, a co-worker, or a leader step in when you did not know what to do. Those moments are reminders that Yahweh can send help from unexpected places fighting for us through others. When Yahweh fights for us through others, he may use people to warn us of danger before it reaches us, defend us when we cannot defend ourselves, encourage us when we are wary, open doors when we cannot open or on our own and stand with us in prayer, wisdom and support. Therefore, we should not overlook the people Yahweh sent into our lives. Sometimes his help comes through family faces, familiar faces. Sometimes it comes through unexpected vessels. Either way, he remains the one fighting our battle and guiding us through adverse situations. Yes, Yahweh fights for us through others, and he also fight by affecting our foes. Yahweh can fight our battle by changing, restraining, confusing, or redirecting those who oppose us. Just as he shut the lion's mouth, the lion's mouth when Daniel was thrown into the lion's den, he is able to silence threat and preserve his people. In the same way, he can confuse the plans of the enemies who rise against us and cause them to marvel at what he has done in our lives. This truth is also seen in the New Testament. After Peter and John healed a lay man and preached the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the rulers, elders, and scribes marveled at their boldness and wisdom. Acts chapter 4, verses 13. Yahweh can cause even those who oppose his work to recognize his power at work through his people. God promised in Exodus chapter 14, verse 14, reminds us that the Lord shall fight your battle and you shall hold your peace. Exodus 14, 14. The Lord shall fight your battle and you shall hold your peace. Sometimes our responsibility is to be still. Trust him and allow him to work in ways we cannot fully understand. He can give our enemies a change of heart, causes them to assist us, or turn their action into part of his greater purpose. As the saying goes, God works in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform. He made a donkey speak to stop Balaam from speaking falsely. He used the mocking of soldiers and even the betrayal of Judas to move Jesus towards the cross and fulfill the plan of redemption to peer before the foundation of the world. When Yahweh affects our foes, he makes us, he make, he may use opposition to develop our character that through ridicule. Yes, Yahweh affects our foes to use their opposition to develop our character through ridicule, to strengthen our faith through disappointments, to build our endurance through mockery, to turn opposition into a stepping stone for spiritual growth, and to remind us that our ultimate enemies are the world, the flesh, and the devil. Therefore, we can trust Yahweh, yes, we can trust him, to use every form of opposition for our betterment, for our salvation and for our victory. He is our refuge, he is our fortress, and in him we must place our trust. No weapon formed against us can prosper, and every tongue that rise against us in judgment shall be condemned, because this is the heritage of the servant of the Lord. We must also remember Yahweh's words, Vengeance is mine, I will repay. Romans 12, 19. Our duty is not to seek vengeance or revenge, but to remain faithful, prayerful, and confident that Yahweh will fight for us in his own way and in his own time. What a blessing. Yes. Yahweh fight for us to others. Yes. Yahweh fight affect our foes. And Yahweh battle for us by working within us. Yes, he walked within us also. Yahweh fight our battles not only around us but also within us. He worked in our heart, he worked in our mind, and spirit and spirit to guide to strengthen us for both outward opposition and inward struggles. The wall of Jerusalem were meant to protect the people from the outside of the city. But Nehemiah also recognized the danger of discouragement within the community. He recognized the danger of discouragement within the community. According to Nehemiah chapter 4, verses 10. The people had lost strength, they had lost vision, they had lost confidence because the world of pre the words and the pressure of the enemies. Yet Yahweh prepared his people for moments like these. Nehemiah told the people, Don't be afraid, but to remember the Lord and prepare themselves for the work and the warfare. Nehemiah chapter 4, verses 18. Likewise, Paul instructed the believers in Ephesians to put on the whole armor of God so that they could stand against spiritual opposition. Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 through 18. Some of the battle Yahweh helped us to overcome within within us include fatigue that drains our spirit, that drains our strength, frustration that weakens our focus, fear that threatens our confidence, discouragement that clouds our vision, and unforgiveness that hinder our peace. In these inward battles, we must set our mind on things above. And remember that the Lord God goes with us to fight for us and give us the victory. Deuteronomy chapter 20 verses 4. We can also declare with the psalmist, Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teaches my hand to war and my fingers to fight. Psalm chapter 144 verses 1. Yahweh gave us inner peace, transform our hearts, and restore our relationship, and teaches us forgiveness. He enabled us to persevere by renewing our minds and granting us peace, the peace that passeth all understanding. When we are weak, he comes along us, lifts us up, and proves that his strength is made perfect in our weakness. Truly, brethren and sisters in Christ, Yahweh fight our battles through others. Yahweh fight our battles by affecting our food. Yahweh fight our battle by working within us for lasting change. Reflection. Children of God, take time to reflect on the truth that Yahweh fight our battles. Are you allowing him to work on your behalf? Or are you resisting him by trying to fight in your own strength? Stand still, trust him, and let him do what only he can do. Call to discipleship. Hearers of the word of God, do not harden your heart, but surrender your life to Yahweh. Accept Yahshua as your Savior. Acknowledge that he died so that you may receive eternal life. Respond to his call with faith. Respond to his call with repentance. Respond to his call in obedience through baptism. Closing prayer. Heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, we thank you for fighting our battles and reminding us that the victory belongs to you. Guide us this day, surrounding us with your protection and cover us with your presence as we stand still and wait for you to rescue us. Go with us as we leave this podcast. Bring healing, bring comfort, bring strength, and bring encouragement to every hearer. We ask this in the name of Yahshua.
