Being coachable isn't just a mindset — it's a decision you make with your calendar. Today the whole team got in the car and drove to hear someone they'd never seen speak before. That's not extra. That's exactly what separates the agents who keep growing from the ones who plateau. Three tactical ways to stay teachable, starting today.

Good morning, good morning. Welcome to your 6 a.m. call where you have chosen growth over comfort, discipline, over excuses, and you're showing up before most people have even started their day. Lee and I are always so grateful that you choose our call to be part of your morning routine. Today is Tactical Tuesday, and we're talking about something simple but not always easy. Be teachable because you're not always right. I saw this posted recently and I thought, wow, so bold but so true. Do you think that you are teachable or coachable? Personally, I love learning. Our industry is forever changing and evolving, and in order to stay top of mind and to be the best for my clients, I have to be learning, I have to be open to learning new ideas. Today, my team and I are actually heading into Alexandria, Virginia to go listen to Jeff Glover speak. And it is all about listings. We're hopping in the car, we are taking our weekly meeting on the road, and I am exposing the team to different perspectives, and I too love to learn different perspectives and ideas as well. So here's the thing: I've never heard Jeff Glover speak before. I've heard of him, I've seen him online, and I've heard great things, but I don't know everything that he's going to say. Or he may say things that I've heard, but today I'm in a different mindset because most coaches and speakers present things in a different light. And today I'm in a different mindset, so I might be able to embrace his perspective and maybe incorporate one thing into my presentation. So that's exactly the point. Because growth requires intention. We could easily stay in our routine today, stay in our environment, and do the same things over and over, but instead, we are getting in the car, we are changing our environment, we are surrounding ourselves with new energy, and we are putting ourselves in a position to learn. It's intentional. That's what it like, that's what being teachable actually looks like. It's not just saying, yeah, I'm open to learning, it's creating opportunities to learn. So let me ask you something. When was the last time that you intentionally put yourself in a room where you didn't have all the answers? When was the last time you stepped into a space where you could actually grow? Because here's the truth. If you're always the one talking, if you're always the one leading, and if you're always the one thinking, I already know this, then you're totally missing it. So let's make Tactical Tuesday tactical. Here are three ways that you become more coachable starting right now. Number one, put yourself in the room, just like we are doing today with my team. Get in proximity to people who are doing what you want to do at a higher level. Not doing what you are doing, or definitely not what they're not what you're doing below your volume. Because you don't rise to your goals, you rise to your environment. Number two, go in with a beginner's mindset. Even if you've been in the business for years, walk in like I'm here to learn something new, because I guarantee you there's at least one thing today that could change your business. Number three, take one thing and implement it fast. Not 10 things, not I'll get to it later, one thing today. Because learning without action is actually just entertainment. And I'll be honest, in regards today, I am just as excited about the road tip with my team as I am about the event itself, because we are growing together, we are learning together, we are getting out of our normal space together, and there's something pretty powerful about that too. So, my final thought for you all today is being teachable isn't about admitting that you're wrong. It's about choosing to get better. It's about staying curious, staying open, staying always and forever in student mode, no matter how long you've been doing this. So, today, on this Tactical Tuesday, go put yourself in a different room, stay open to learning, and go find that one thing that will move your business forward today. Because the agents and the leaders, the people who win long term, are the ones who never stop learning. So have an awesome Tuesday.
