✨ ICYMI — This Morning’s 6:00 AM Call ✨
Today we talked about something so many people struggle with:
👉 Waiting to FEEL motivated before taking action.
And honestly?
Life doesn’t usually work that way.
Most successful people are not constantly motivated.
They’re committed.
Because motivation is emotional.
Commitment is behavioral.
We talked about how:
• You won’t always feel inspired
• You won’t always feel confident
• You won’t always feel energized
• You won’t always feel ready
…but your goals still require movement.
And one of the biggest reminders from today was this:
✨ Action often CREATES motivation.
Not the other way around.
Sometimes the energy comes AFTER:
✔️ the call
✔️ the workout
✔️ the follow-up
✔️ the video
✔️ the first step
✔️ simply getting back into motion
We also talked about gratitude — and how gratitude works the same way.
You do not have to wait until you FEEL grateful to express gratitude.
Sometimes gratitude is a discipline.
A perspective.
A daily practice.
You appreciate what’s good anyway.
You acknowledge progress anyway.
You thank people anyway.
You notice what’s still beautiful anyway.
And often… the feeling follows the action.
A few reminders from this morning:
💛 Progress creates energy
💛 Avoidance drains it
💛 Small consistent actions compound over time
💛 Rest restores you — avoidance keeps you stuck
💛 Confidence usually comes AFTER movement
So today:
Don’t wait to feel inspired to begin.
Don’t wait to feel grateful to express gratitude.
Start moving.
Start appreciating.
Start showing up.
And let the action help create the feeling. ✨

All right. Good morning, everybody. It is Wednesday, July 3rd. And I don't know what's going on, but this year just seems to be flying by, which just makes me realize how important it is to, I don't know, enjoy the moment. Um, I think we need to stop, slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment. And I hope you guys are doing that over the summer with your families and your friends and um just welcome you to the call. And uh Robin and I are always so thrilled that you're here with us and um participating in our our fun journey. And we love sharing our morning motivation with you. So, anyway, today I just want to talk about something that I think holds a lot of people back, and not just in business, but in all areas of life, health, relationships, goals, just life in general. And it's that waiting to feel motivated. And honestly, I think social media has really confused us all about this because the messages that we get are like is that like motivation is some magical state that some people have, you know, where they wake up energized, focused, disciplined, clear, inspired, ready to conquer the world. And there are some people that just seem to be on and motivated and you know, achieving at a high level all the time naturally. But real life doesn't work that way, honestly. I mean, I don't think anyone operates that way. Most successful people aren't constantly motivated, they're just committed. And there's a huge difference because motivation is emotional and commitment is actually something we do. It's behavioral. Motivation comes and goes, but commitment stays. And honestly, if you only work when you feel motivated, you'll spend a huge percentage of your life standing still. And we often know this when it comes to exercise and stuff because some days you're tired, some days you're discouraged, some days the market and the business just feels hard. I mean, we feel rejected sometimes, our confidence is low, and some days life is just plain old heavy. And yet, the people who build meaningful businesses, healthy lives, strong relationships, and real momentum are usually people who learn how to move anyway. Not perfectly, not robotically, but consistently. And I think gratitude works exactly the same way. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. A lot of people think gratitude is something you express after you feel grateful, but sometimes gratitude is just a practice. It's not a feeling. Sometimes you don't feel grateful, but we choose gratitude intentionally because it changes our perspective. You can write down what's good anyway. You thank God anyway. You appreciate people anyway, and you acknowledge what's working anyway. And often that feeling of gratitude follows the action of gratitude. And it's just the same with motivation because gratitude is not pretending life is perfect, it's choosing not to become blind to what's still beautiful, meaningful, and working in the middle of imperfect season. And honestly, I think this is especially important in real estate because this business is extremely emotional. You can go from feeling amazing to feeling defeated in 24 hours. A deal falls apart, a client goes to you, an inspection goes sideways, you know, the list goes on and on, but your goals still require movement. So honestly, this is where habits become life-changing because habits protect you from relying on emotion. We've talked about the book Atomic Habits by James Clear, and this is what he talks about the idea that systems matter more than mood. Your future is not built from occasional bursts of motivation, it's built from repeated actions time and time again. It's the call you make when you don't feel like it, the workout you do anyway notes itself. The follow-up text, the video you post even when you're nervous, also notes itself. The open house that you host even when turnout has been disappointing lately, and the decision to get up and try again and again and again and again. That is where momentum comes from. And here's something else I think is important. Action creates the motivation, not the other way around. Sometimes you don't feel motivated because you've been sitting still too long. But once you start moving, once you make the call, or you clean up your space, or you get through the workout, once you reconnect with the client, your energy changes. Progress creates energy. I always say success begets, and avoidance drains it. So this is important. Listen, this does not mean you never rest. Rest matters, recovery matters, mental health matters, but there's a difference between rest and avoidance. So rest restores you and avoidance keeps you stuck. And I think a lot of people are waiting to feel different before they start acting different. But often, as I said, the feeling comes after the action. Confidence comes after repetition, momentum comes after consistency, clarity comes after movement, not before. Never before. So today, maybe stop asking yourself, do I feel motivated? And instead say, what would the future version of me be grateful that I did today? And make and do that. Maybe it's making five calls, maybe it's go do the workout today that you skipped for the last five days. Maybe it's meal prep. Maybe it's reaching out to somebody, recording the video, or maybe it's just getting back into motion in any small. Maybe it's just organizing your office. Small actions matter. And honestly, most people dramatically underestimate what small, consistent actions can become over time. Because success is usually not built in one giant moment. It's built quietly, daily, repeatedly, in ordinary moments when people choose movement over excuses. Today, don't wait to feel inspired to start. Don't wait to feel grateful to express gratitude. Just start moving, start appreciating, start showing up, and let the action create the feeling. So thank you for being here today, everybody. We love you guys. We're so grateful that you join us each morning. It's so much fun to do this with you. And Robin will be on the mic tomorrow, which is Thursday. And it's the 4th of July. So, anyways, love you guys. Have fun. Have a great day.
