The Agent People Remember vs. the One They Have to Remember (07.16.26)

This is the one that ties it all together.
All week, we've been building toward this moment and the fifth and final pillar of the Summer Success Blueprint might be the most important mindset shift of the entire series. It's called the fall setup, and the core idea is this: September doesn't start in September. It starts today.
The agents who have incredible falls aren't the ones who worked themselves into the ground all summer. They're the ones who never fully disappeared. A check-in text here, a coffee meeting there, a handwritten note, a social post, an open house ~ small seeds planted consistently, long before harvest season arrives.
In this episode, we close out the full five-pillar framework: visibility, lead generation, energy, rhythm, and the fall setup. We'll walk through what each one means in practice, why no single pillar works without the others, and the one question that should be guiding every decision you make between now and Labor Day.
There's also a farmer analogy in here that will permanently change how you think about summer business development. No farmer waits until harvest to plant seeds. Real estate works exactly the same way and once you see it, you can't unsee it.
By the end of this conversation, you'll know whether you're the agent your community will think of in August and September, or the one they'll have to remember. And more importantly, you'll know exactly what to do about it.
This is how intentional agents build the fall they actually want not by hoping things pick back up after Labor Day, but by making sure they never had to.
Good morning, everyone. Happy Thursday. Welcome to your 6 a.m. call. Lee and I are always so grateful that you've chosen our 6 a.m. call to be part of your morning routine. So, can you believe that we're already reached the fifth and final pillar of our summer success blueprint? This week I've talked about five simple principles that when put together can completely change the trajectory of your business, not just for the summer, but for the rest of the year. So today we finished with our final pillar. We're calling it the fall setup. So here's the message I hope stick with you long after this call. September does not start in September. It starts today. One of the biggest mistakes that we see agents make is treating the summer like a pause button. They enjoy vacations, spend time with family, and slow down, which by the way, you should. I have. We all need time to retard. But the problem isn't taking time off. The problem is disappearing completely. Because when you disappear for six or eight weeks, your business your business does not magically come back after Labor Day. The agents who have incredible Septembers and Octobers didn't suddenly get lucky. They planted seeds all similarly, not by working 80 hours a week, not by grinding every day, but by staying connected with a quick text to a past client, a crappy meeting, a social media post, an open house, neighborhood event, a market update, all small actions done consistently. Think about a farmer. No farmer waits until harvest season to plant seeds. The work happens months before anyone sees the results. Real estate is no different. Every conversation, every follow-up and every event, handwritten notes and every piece of paper and value that you provide, those are all seeds. And the beautiful thing about seeds is that they grow when you consistently take care of them. So this morning, let me ask you, what are you doing today that your September self will thank you for? Is it organizing your database, reaching out to five people, and have a meaningful, intentional conversation, and that is spam, text, or email, scheduling your social media posts for the rest of the week so you can enjoy your morning? Or maybe you really should invite that person to coffee or wine. It really doesn't have to be complicated. I know you hear it over and over, but these tactics work. You don't need a massive marketing campaign. You simply need to intentionally and personally stay in touch with those in your database. So before we wrap up the series, let's take one last look at the five pillars. Visibility. People can't work with you if they don't know that you exist. Keep showing up. Nobody wants to be a secret agent. Lead generation. Small consistent actions will always outperform random bursts of motivation. I'm going to repeat that one. Small, consistent actions will always outperform random bursts of motivation. It makes me think of agents that want to farm and they send one postcard and they think they think they're going to get a bunch of weeds. It's consistently mailing those postcards that your neighbors start to notice. Okay, moving on. Energy. Protect your mindset, your health, and your relationship so that you can show up your very best for your business clients and your family members and your friends. Rhythm. Forget perfection. Build simple routines that help you stay consistent, even when life gets busy. And then finally, as I just discussed, the fall setup. Everything you do today is preparing you for the business that you'll have this fall. When you combine these five pillars, you're no longer hoping for a great September. You are intentionally creating a successful fall. So I'll leave you with this one final thought. Will you be the agent people remember or the one they have to remember? Because there really is a difference. The agent who stayed present all summer is the one who will get the call in August, September, and October. Not the one who reappeared Labor Day weekend. So just a last-minute plug. If you've enjoyed the series this week and want to put these ideas to action, you do have two opportunities to work with Lee and I. There's still time to join our Zoom call today at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time for our one-hour summer success blueprint. You just log on, listen, interact, and have a plan. Or we have an in-person event in Leesburg, Virginia. Three hours plus one, full-on roadmap, leaving with a full plan. Either way, we would love to see you. If you can't make either and still want to reach out, we are always available. Just remember that something, September is something that you don't hope for. It's something that you prepare for. The seeds you plant today become the harvest you celebrate this fall. Have an amazing Thursday and hope to see some of y'all at 10 a.m. Thanks.
