Hello, it's Pastor Finlay Cutshaw again. Today is Sunday, May the 17th. I hope you're having a great day already. Today's rooted principle do not allow Satan to condemn you with sins of the past. You are completely forgiven. I'm going to be reading today straight from the devotional book Rooted in Christ by Dr. Paul Chapel. Romans chapter 8, verse 1 through 4, the Bible says, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, and that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Remember those words. There is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. I read about a young boy who accidentally killed a goose on the family farm. That hits close to home for me when we were kids one day. We were standing around a farm pond, and my cousins were throwing rocks at the geese to try to run them off of the pond so we could swim. Well, I thought I was going to be a big shot, and I picked up a rock to throw at one of the geese and hit that goose squarely in the head. His head wobbled a couple of times and then he fell over into the water, and my cousins went crazy saying the farmer's going to kill us. Thankfully, after a few moments of unconsciousness, the goose lifted his head back up. I didn't have the same trouble the little boy did, though. This little boy's sister said she was going to tell on him unless he would do what she told him to do. She said, If you will wash the dishes every day and do all of my chores, I won't tell mom, she promised. Soon the boy got tired of being his sister's servant and decided to take matters into his own hands. When he told his sister that he was finished with their agreement, she reminded him that she would tell their mother. He said, It doesn't matter anymore. I've already told her and she has forgiven me, he said with a big grin. God has given us complete forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross. What Satan loves to do is try to make you think that you're no longer worthy. But the truth is you were never worthy to start with. He tries to convince you that there's something now between you and God. When the truth is sin was between you and God until you accepted Christ and He took it out of the way. The Lord Jesus Christ washed away your sins in his blood, and therefore, there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Don't let Satan hold something over your head that's already been forgiven. If you mess up, confess up. 1 John 1 9, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But your relationship with him has never been broken, nor will it ever be broken. Don't let Satan condemn you with the sins of the past. You are completely forgiven.
