Welcome back to the Everyday Faith Podcast from Eastside with today's Faith Rooted Principle. Hey there, welcome back. I'm Isaac Johnson. Today is Saturday, May the 30th. I hope that you have a great Saturday. Our rooted principle for today is very simple. One way. One way. There's only one way to heaven, and that is Jesus Christ. He is the only way. Jesus said in John 14, he said, I am the way, the truth, the life. No man cometh to the Father but by me, but through Jesus. In John chapter number ten, there's an illustration given here, and it says, Verily, verily I say unto you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same as a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep, and to him the porter openeth, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calleth to his own, his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. There is only one way to heaven, and his name is Jesus Christ. There's only one good shepherd, and that is Jesus. Jesus said, I am the door, I am the door. Jesus again is the only way to heaven. You know, sometimes you'll talk to people and you'll ask them a question such as this. You'll ask them, if you were to die today, heaven forbid, do you know where you would spend all of eternity? And it's a very humbling question to think about. And many times you'll get a variety of answers. Sometimes you may get, well, I hope so. Sometimes you may get this answer. Well, you know, I I'm a good person. I've done good things. I've uh I've given uh money to charities, I've uh I've paid my tithes, so to speak. Uh you might hear this answer, well, my grandpa was a preacher, or my dad was a preacher, or my uncle is a preacher, but let me just say those things that's not how you get to heaven. Just because your mom was a uh a singer in the choir, so just because your uh just because your grandpa was a preacher doesn't mean that you're on your way to heaven. It's only by a relationship that you have with Jesus Christ, you have had to enter in at the door, you have had to come through Jesus. That Jesus is the only way to heaven, and he, the only way to get to heaven is by accepting him as your personal Savior. And you know, those of us who know this truth, we have a great responsibility. And we have a great responsibility to stand against the false ideas and to explain clearly that Jesus is God's only plan of salvation. There's not two ways about it. There's only one way to heaven. Uh, it's not by you know, it's not by doing your own thing, doing your the best that you can. No, Jesus is the only way to heaven. And Jesus said that in the day of judgment, many will say to me, many will say to him that there is children, and uh but they to only hear these awful words. I never knew you. Depart from me. What humbling words those would be. But I don't know, I don't want this to happen to anyone, so we never should assume that that people know uh and that people have have have uh have made a decision. Hey, we need to share this truth that Jesus is the only one way to heaven. There's no other way but through Jesus. Let's share this message today. Find someone that we can talk to about Jesus being the only way of salvation. I hope that you have a great day and remember this rooted truth today. There's only one way, Jesus. Only one way to get to heaven, and that is Jesus. Thanks for joining us for today's Rooted Principle, right here on the Everyday Faith Podcast.
