Good morning, as Pastor Finley Cutzshaw. Today is Sunday, May the 31st, and today's rooted principle, God's grace is more than enough to meet any challenge you face today. Second Corinthians chapter 12, verse 7 through 9 says this, and lest I should be exalted above measure, through the abundance of the revelations there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice that it might depart from me, and he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glore in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Again today I am reading from Rooted in Christ by Dr. Paul Chapel. He writes, Charles Spurgeon once told of a time when he had just finished a heavy day's work. He was riding home and was very tired and weary in his spirit when he suddenly thought of 2 Corinthians 12 9. My grace is sufficient for thee. He smiled and said, I think it is, Lord. Then he started laughing as the thought made him think of how foolish our unbelief is to God. It would be like a small fish that was very thirsty, was afraid it might drink the river dry, and the river said, Drink away, little fish, my stream is sufficient for thee. Or it would be as though after the seven years of plenty a mouse was afraid it might die of a famine, and Joseph might say, Cheer up, little mouse, my granaries are sufficient for thee. Or if a man on top of a mountain feared that he would exhaust the oxygen in the atmosphere, and the earth might say, Breathe away, O man, and fill thy lungs ever, my atmosphere is sufficient for thee. We all have trials in life, like the apostle Paul. We may find ourselves begging God to deliver us from a severe test. Sometimes God does grant us deliverance, but other times he grants us a measure of grace that is sufficient to allow us to endure the hardship. Regardless of which answer God gives for our individual situation, it is vital that we allow His grace to play its role in our hearts and lives. His grace never runs out, and it is always sufficient. Can I just add today to this thought that God's grace is ever available for our every need, and you and I should always be willing to go to Him for more grace because it will never run out. Remember, God's grace is more than enough to meet any challenge you face today or any day.
