25 Days of Prayer and Praise - July 2, 2026

Welcome back to the Everyday Faith Podcast from Eastside with today's Faith-Rooted Principle. Hey there, welcome back. I'm Isaac Johnson. Today is Thursday, July the 2nd. Hope that you're having a fantastic day today. And we are still in our 25 days of prayer and praise for just a couple more days now. Saturday will be our nation's birthday, and we'll be celebrating that. And so it's been good just to take some time to reflect on America and reflect on all that God has done for America. And I just want to talk about today just for just a moment, just thinking about the freedom that we have, thinking about the freedom that we have to be able to raise a family in a free nation. And I'm so thankful for the fact that men and women gave their life. Some uh gave it all, and some gave uh some to serve, and I'm so thankful for our service members to be able to have a family, to be able to uh worship freely as we do on Sundays. It's a blessing uh to be able to have the freedoms that we have in America, but it all points back to the fact of what God has done and God's grace, the like the uh the song says, God shed his grace on the America, America, uh God shed his grace on thee. God is good, uh, God is gracious to America. And so just kind of a testimony today uh for myself of America and how good that God is to be able to allow us to have the freedoms to live, uh, to be able to have a uh raise a family in a free land, uh, to be able to worship in a free land, uh, isn't God good to have given us America? Let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you so much, Lord, for uh the opportunity that you have given me to be born in America, Lord, to be born in the land of the free, and Lord, thank you for those that uh have given their lives, Lord, to be able to for us to be able to have the freedoms that we do have, Lord, to be able to do uh things that we do, and Lord, to be able to worship you freely as we can. Lord, it uh came at a cost, Lord, some gave lives to be able to have that. So, Lord, I pray that you would help us not to forget that. Lord, thank you uh for your grace that you shed upon our nation, Lord, to be able uh it was because of you. Lord, ultimately, I want to thank you uh for the sacrifice that you made, Lord, the the real freedom that we find that comes from you because of the cross, Lord, because that Jesus shed his blood on a cross uh for the sins of the entire world, past, present, and future. And God, thank you for that. Thank you for the freedom that we can find in in Christ because of the blood of Jesus. Lord, I pray that you would uh help us, Lord, to continue to uh look to you as a nation. And Lord, I pray that we would turn from our wicked ways and turn back to you.
