Welcome back to the Everyday Faith Podcast from Eastside with today's Faith-Rooted Principle. Hey there, welcome back to the podcast. I'm Isaac Johnson, and today is Friday, July the 3rd. Happy Independence Day Eve. And a lot of times what happens on Independence Day Eve is communities have fireworks displays and there's uh patriotic concerts and those sorts of things, and uh they recognize veterans and uh many uh many cities hold a lot of fireworks and things on July the third. And just a thought on here on July the 3rd as we are coming up on July the 4th, our 250th birthday, and of course we have uh been uh having our 25 days of prayer and praise. Uh July the third really reminds us of the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for our nation's freedoms. And uh we think about from even the Continental Army under George Washington, all the way all the way uh to where we are today. And I think it's fitting uh that uh we remember the words of the psalmist David uh under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Here's what it's the Bible says, Psalms 33, 12. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom he hath chosen for his inheritance. Uh blessed is the nation, it says, whose God is the Lord. Uh and I believe that our nation has been blessed for so many years because we have looked to God, and uh it's a meaningful reminder that we need to continue to seek God's guidance and give thanks to Him for the blessings and the freedoms that we enjoy in the United States. So on this last day, well, before the July 4th, uh let's remember and thank God for his many wonderful blessings on America. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much once again, Lord, that we can stop and we can pause and we can think about all the many wonderful blessings and how that you have blessed America. And Lord, I believe it is because America was founded upon biblical principles. And uh, Lord, I pray that you would help us, Lord, to not take that for granted. Lord, I pray that as believers we would take a stand and Lord help us to celebrate what you have done, and Lord, may we lift your name high because truly you are the one that is worthy of all of our praise. And God, I pray that you would uh just bless, help the uh our nation to continue, Lord, to move forward. Lord, I pray that you would uh help believers to take a stand for what's right in this day and age. Lord, we love you. We'll be careful to give you the praise in Christ's name. Amen.
