Definitely not. That's probably why I'm in the position I'm in. Um I my parents got divorced when I was six. I had a lot of behavioral issues and got in trouble in school a lot. I got locked up for the first time when I was like nine. I moved out of my parents' house when I was like 14 and just stayed with friends and guys and different stuff. So it was kind of definitely different. I did I think I didn't finish any grade except for sixth grade. My teacher said, You're not getting kicked out of this year. I mean, no matter what we have to do, you're not getting kicked out. That's what you want.

Oh, well, I had to go to group no, I had to go to girl school because I mean I just got ticked out of school all the time. I just was fighting with my parents, fighting a school. I was really bad. I I had I had my parents started me in therapy and all kinds of medicine when I was like four. By the time I was nine, they just put me, locked me up. Then I did until I was 14, and then I get in the end up getting in trouble again. And I get did until the day of my 18th birthday when I was 17. I finished out until the day of my 18th birthday in girls school.

Like an all-girls kind of like a boarding type of school? It's it's prison for girls. Um, it's ran by the DOC. It is so it it's ran by the same people who run the prisons.

Like a juvenile, but of a very serious, it's not a juvenile, they have those in most counties. Um but girls' school is like it's the worst of the worst. It's like it's prison for girls. That's where you they they go. Well, you might still hear because it's not therapy, it's not anything else, it's prison. You're in trouble. You're doing you're doing time.

Are you legally ordered to be there, or is something like, okay, your parents can't control you, type of thing. They can send you there if they wanted.

Well, tech a judge sent me, but my parents signed away their rights. So then I became a ward of the state, and then the state did whatever they wanted to do.

Oh, yeah, because girls' schools, like the one I was in, they was even on the news and everything. They ended up being shut down because there was riots that happened and the girls took over and were stabbing staff. Like it was a it was rough. Yeah, it was a very and I was nine and I watched all this. So it was it was a very like all these girls were mostly prostitutes and drug addicts from like Dayton, Ohio. That's where all the Ohio girls got sit, and they were very tough girls. I am very Indiana places like that.

Oh, yeah, literally, that's how old mine is. I don't know if he's kidding, but so yeah, I just heard about that, like the girls' school. I think I was watching Real Housewives the other day, an episode, and one of the girls was talking about that, how she was sent away to a school like that, and then they wanted mother to like sign over her rights, and so she she didn't, but it was like the same concept thing. She's like, you know, I was locked up, like I had no business being there with other like people that have done murder and yeah, far worse things and just misbehave type of thing.

Oh, yeah. Well, I just I I was in drug classes at night. I had never done drugs, but everybody else here had done drugs, so you know what I mean.

I still had to take the classes and were you only the youngest person there? You had to be, right?

The funniest thing is the youngest, I was one of the youngest. I think I was older than the girl by months, but the other girl, she was nine, and she was there for molest than her brother. Like yeah, yes. Holy shit. Yeah, so that she was nine too, but she was like kind of a fucked up nine. But you would never know that. I didn't know that until about eight months of being down with her, and finally in group one day, it came out why the girl was there. And I'm like, what?

Well, and you know, you know, I mean, not in defense of her, but when you're molesting your brother at nine, that she's been molested or raped or whatever the case may be. Because children don't naturally just go down that path. It's something that's happened. So holy shit. So you were in there from nine to eighteen, basically.

Pretty much I got out of it when I was 14. I I did a couple of years, but then went right back into 17. And I mean, there was like, I think there was another stay at 15, but just for a couple months. That was more of a juvie just for a couple months, and then then I went back to the same girl school that had it's funny because I went to that girl school when I was nine, and it got closed down because it was so like I'll tell you, they when you go there, they'll say you don't leave without a scar on your face. Because they would, yeah, they would throw the girls down on the ground and rub their face in the carpet, and they would have scars all over their faces. So, like it was a really bad place. They they put me in a straitjacket when I was nine because I rolled my eyes, and they put me in a like a suicide gown straitjacket and put me in a cell for two days. I mean, they it was a really bad place.

I was overwhelmed. It was not my they had put me in a smaller facility first in the town. So I had already kind of been locked up when I was eight. Was my that I got locked up and it was like a mental institution, whatever when I was eight. In the place here in town, it's I don't know, low, low security, low everything. So I had already been in something sort of similar. Okay. Um, but not so severe, not a bunch. I in the best way I can say a bunch of really ghetto girls, like really girls that did not mess around, did not play. Like it was it was a totally different world, and we all had to sit in chairs all day, put our feet at like a 90-degree angle, like they had to be open. We weren't allowed to talk. We weren't allowed. If you talked and you talked to anybody, you did you got out of your chair, you got thrown on the ground, and you got your face rubbed in the carpet.

Oh okay. Wait, wait. So this is basically like you actually doing schooling, or is it more so like you're doing the anger management and therapy classes? And so no, there's no groups there.

There's supposed to be, there's not. And then there's no school. There's now there's supposed to be school, but the whole time I was there, there was never school. I'll tell you, every lockup I've ever been into, as far as kids, you don't really go to school. You just, I mean, they might you they'll be like, hey, go pick a workbook out, and like, well, the only thing here is a third grade and a sixth grade, and I'm in, you know, and they're and they're like, Well, just pick whichever one you want and go look at the answers in the back and turn like it was never, it was actually not real.

Oh my god. Okay, so I'm still like, I mean, my mom used to threaten to send me away all the time. I mean, I think she scared me straight when I was about 16, but it was more so like I'm just a teenage girl with an attitude. Uh like what you said, you were like fighting the school, fighting your parents, like you're getting in fights at school. Definitely getting fight.

I I I I mean my dad talked about this recently because I was like, I never admitted to this until recently that I didn't understand cool. I didn't understand whenever they would do stuff on the board and they would go over it and go over it, and then afterwards they would do it, and then I would not understand a word that they had just said. And then the teacher gets on to me and it gets an attitude with me. Hey, Kira, you need to get oh, sorry, look at that, but uh you need to um you need Cora, you need to do what you're supposed to. Well, now you just embarrass me in front of the whole class. Right now I'm gonna look at you, go, fuck you, bitch. You ain't gonna tell me what to fucking do. And then she'd get out in the whole. Yeah, yeah. And then she's gonna go, get out in the hallway. I'm gonna fuck you. I'm gonna throw a chair and I'm gonna cuss her out. And then she would come and it would be a whole thing. Like I I definitely had a young age, very little. I I mean, I first class first school I was ever kicked out of, I was kicked out of preschool. It was a and it was we all wore uniforms. It was a Christian, my parents made a lot of money for me to go there. And I was bad.

I you know, and I was where were these like it kind of sounds like anger. Like, I mean, I had those outbursts too when I was younger, and I had to take like the anger management classes and all that. Like, like also my mom was also kind of crazy. Like, did you were there anger issues at home or like where was this stemming from?

I think there's definitely anger issues, uh, but my I might never did it in front of my dad because my dad he beat me from a really young age. So I'm gonna go ahead and take a wild guess that this has to do with my dad. Now, I didn't end up finding out about my abuse until I I had knew my dad abused me, but not when I was very little. Yeah, and then I had when I was 17, I would had a baby. So when I would did till the day of my 19th birthday, I had to deal with DCS. I mean, that was the first time I had found out a lot of stuff. We had sat down in a meeting for DCS, and a lot of my family had come in and they said, we like this because I mean, when she was a little girl, she would be messing around in something, and her dad would see her, and he'd grab a Power Aid bottle and just throw it across the room and hit her in the head with it.

You don't remember the abuse at the young age, not at one year old.

I don't remember that. Now I remember me crying because my sister was mean to me, and my dad dragging me out by the hair at like three and a half years old and choking me in the hallway, and my dad, my mom crying and begging him to stop, and him telling her and get the fuck out.

Like and you have a relationship with your dad today.

Now that's new. Okay. Okay. It's we we're good now. I mean, and my his wife beat me when they ended up he ended up getting with somebody, and she was way more abusive and blah blah. But I I just put stuff I definitely have forgiven my parents for. And I also feel like I was an out-of-control kid. I had I had issues. I I have a son who's just like me, and he's gets mad and flips out and goes crazy and and just loses it, and he's me, and I see that in him. And so sometimes it does get frustrating, sometimes it does get hard. Sometimes I have to take a step back as a parent and go, fuck, this is what my parents were talking about. Yeah. But at this end of the day, I think it definitely things went way too far. Oh, sure. Because I don't do that.

Definitely it did. Yeah, as I say, at least hopefully you broke that cycle of the stuff. Yeah, yeah.

So I'm saying, like, I know I don't I might yell at my kids, but I don't even hit them. Like, I I I like stop, you know, but yeah, I don't, I just I learned from that. I'm not doing that.

I think it says a lot though about you being able to forgive your parents, like I come a long way. Like that that speaks volumes about like where you're currently at, because I mean that's a lot to go through.

Also, you only get one set of parents, like and one childhood.

And it sounds to me like your childhood was you literally, you had no, you did not have a normal childhood by any stretch of the imagination. So you know I didn't have you so you go in, you go into the girls' school, which is prison at nine years old, basically. How how did you sleep? Were there bunk beds? Like what uh was it a big room?

There were broken up in dorms, A, B, C, D, E, F, and then I think there was G. And then so they were bunk beds, and you slept on the bunk bunk beds. Now, there, I mean, there was it was a filled up facility. It was it was pretty big.

And were you abused by the other prisoners? Because they're a lot older than you, they can do anything to you.

I I will say those prisoners. Now, there was one girl, she beat me with a shoe once because I cussed, I cussed, and she said, 'I got a son. You ain't about to be fucking cussing in front of me. And now she was you trying to mother him.' Well, was she 15? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. Um, I I am a I'm a Leo and I'm a very strong person, and I can adapt to any situation very well to win that situation.

And I found at a very early age being locked up, especially my first the first lockup I ever went to, fake it until you make it.

Yeah. And and I did. I realized play on the fact that you're a kid, like you're a kid. Even if you don't, even if you don't feel that way, you're gonna act like a kid, you're gonna play on the baby stuff, you're gonna play on the kid. So most of those girls, they called me their sister, they called me their their I called a couple of them mom. Okay, I have a mom. They were my mom.

I have multiple brothers. I have an older sister, um, and that's the only one with my my mom and my dad, and then they got a divorce.

So then what was her childhood like? Like, yeah, is she older? You said, or younger?

Uh she's older than me. So her childhood and I feel like her childhood was great. She feels like her childhood was ruined because it was all about me and my behaviors. Did they ever hit my sister? No. My sister was a nerd, loved Harry Potter, read, she never cussed, straight a honor student. Now when my dad got a divorce, and and afterwards, she stopped coming to the house because he put his hands on her and his wife put his hands on her. So she started seeing the cracks of him, and then they just stopped talking until maybe the last like two years, they just started talking. She cut him completely off after she he he hit her in the face uh for the first time when she was like 14. She did talk back to him and she hit he hit her in the face, and she stopped talking to him for a really long time after that.

So you okay. What how old were you when your parents separated? I was six. And so you you would go back and forth between dad and mom's and that was before the first time you went away.

Yeah, so then I know again. Well, my my mom got my mom got with a guy and his son started molesting me. And I when I was eight, I I he started when I was six. He started when I was eight. Honestly, I didn't even want to tell him a molestation because to be honest, I thought he loved me. I thought he cared about me. I thought I didn't I didn't know. I thought I had somebody, I thought it was my boyfriend. I don't, you know, and then but I just was tired of living with my mom. My stepdad was really mean. I ended up telling DCS that my stepdad was touching me. I went to live with my dad, and my dad didn't keep me very long before I I watched him at nine sign away. His he came to the school. I was in, I had tried to run away from the school, got into it with the principal and stuff, and I they hadn't come in, and I watched him sign away his ride.

They caught him playing with the little boy in his diaper or something. So he clearly had issues. Wow. But nothing, nothing came of it other than DCS just put me with my dad. And then I just seen my mom every other weekend after that. My stepdad, my stepbrother wasn't allowed to be there.

Then after that, I mean it was a long. My stepmom was so excited. She was she just sent me off. I mean, I was before my 10th birthday because I remember well, not my 10th, it was my before my I moved with him when I was seven, because it was right before my eighth birthday. That was the first time I I was turning eight, and then I was allowed to go to that facility. And I remember being on my eighth birthday. My stepmom wasn't gonna have me a birthday party, but my grandma sneak and did one because she was like, You're they're locking you up at tomorrow, so we're giving you a birthday party. Um, so so yeah, it was that was pretty much the sequence events. I was moved in like right before I turned eight, and they already they had me out right after my eighth birthday, and then I went to that facility a couple times, and then nine was girl school.

Wow, I'm just floored. Okay, so you're in there, you've already been sexually molested at some point, right? To some degree. Did it did it last a long time or was it just a short period of time?

And then you told me it lasted probably about two years. Oh god. We didn't have sex. He tried to get me two once, but I I remember when he tried like he tried and about got sick because he his fingers hurt me so bad. Like, like if I went through what you're going through, if my child was even in another room alone with the opposite sex, I feel like I would be like, uh-uh.

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I I I am like very weird about it, even with like when I got with my baby's father, because I got with my daughter, daughter calls him dad, but that's not her dad. And my other four kids are the dad or whatever. But like when we first got together, I remember being like, Hey, go put her in bed. And I he didn't know it. He thought I was sleeping. And I sat right there at the door and I just sat there and I listened because I was like, if he fucking molests her, I'm gonna go in there, I'm gonna fucking kill him. And I know I I I just had to test him. I'm like, I need to know whose I'm letting in my house. Yeah, and so yeah, like nobody babysits my kids except my mom.
