So, you know, when I grew up, my damn mom and daddy was my role model. It was people that I actually could reach out and touch. Not necessarily, you know, you saw these figures on TV or, you know, maybe the Power Rangers.

Yeah, happy Pride Month, happy Pride Month. And then continuing with that, some other items that I came across. I was like, damn, these people that get millions just can't stop. And so federal prosecutors have added new charges against Miami Heat guard Terry Rosier in their ongoing sports gambling investigation. Absolutely. We're gonna stick with that. I love it. And so Rosier, he's pretty much he's been out on a $3 million bond, and he's also facing allegations as he accepted a $100,000 bribe, which was later reduced to approximately $70K, um, in connection with a March 2023 game, um, when he was actually a member of the Charlotte Hornets. Um and prosecutors he got bribed to throw the game on it. Yeah.

So for the most part, you know, he kind of faked a leg injury. And so what they are saying is um more than $258,000 in bets were actually linked to this scheme. And so he pleaded not guilty, and he's pretty much saying, hey, you know, um none of these allegations, I I'm not with any of this. And so, of course, the the case is active and open. And it's something that I said, look, we need to keep a hold on this. Because I just, you know, you and I had a conversation after yesterday's show where I was like, you know, these guys get millions and millions of dollars. Um, and that's that's net, you know, forget the growth, but that's net. And somewhere along the way, in their mind, they say, you know what, let me just go on and get an extra $100,000. So I'm thinking even in my line of work, you know, you get a paycheck, but is it worth throwing everything else away if someone says, hmm, can you alter, you know, I hear stories about people, you know, paying people, you know, to get their grades changed, and those persons have been fired. I've heard those stories before, but I've never that has never come to me um to alter fraudulently offer um alter a record. But I just, you know, it's like you you got this in your hand, but you know fuck it up. Yeah, you can only hold so much, so to have these millions of dollars um being brought in, and then it's you know, and then your brand is tarnished after that. Gambling is real. Isn't there like uh you got Alcohol's Anonymous, but where do gambling people go?

Isn't that uh I yeah, there is something. If you gamble, there's a like if you go to casinos or in the back, I think maybe on the back of a lot of your tickets, there's a number you can call. Usually when they advertise for gambling stuff, there's a little something in the advertisement. Usually choice the end and it's very small. If you have problems with gambling, then call this number for help. So uh, sorry. But yeah, there is some type of gambling um help for those who need it.

Yeah, yeah. And one person that didn't gamble, that it appeared, you know, that the NFL was gambling with his career. We talked about them before, Shador Sanders. And one thing that came about, you know, he plays for the Keelden Browns. He was the ended up being the um starting quarterback this past season, but he was the fifth round drag pick. You know, they were just trying to get at his dad. But um, he's pretty much like one of the biggest marketing stars, right? Definitely as it relates to the rookie. So what he has done, he has generated a record 17.7 million dollars in group licensing revenue. So when people buy his jersey and things of that nature, um, that money came directly to him. Now his rookie contract, I believe, is a little bit about five million dollars over, you know, the years that he's gonna be at the team. But um, shout out to him. So put him another.

So pivoting back to the NBA. Now, I saw this and I was like, ah, Dylan Brooks, Dylan Brooks. Now, one thing I know it fell on my algorithm for two things. Number one, TMZ. Number two, I love airplanes. And that's one thing that Rufus and I have in common is our love and affinity for air travel. Now, Rufus in an earlier life has more direct experience than me, but one thing about it is during the off-season, you know, some people are like resting, training. I've seen they go on vacation with their fiances, girls, and you know, wives and children. But one thing that Dylan Brooks did, he took his time to pursue a new skill. And so weeks after the season ended, this past April, you know, he announced that he had completed flight school training.

I wouldn't know. That wasn't in his story. We just know that he finished. So what is a rating?

So when you're a pilot, there's different types of ratings. The first one, you get your private private pilots license, and you move on to like IFR training, which is allow you to fly through clouds and through weather. Then they have multi-engine, single engine, then you can go to CFI, double CFI, which allows you to train other pilots. There's levels to it. So the the basic license is just a private pilot's license.

And one thing I I love that we see different stories like this because, you know, one thing we always say, well, for me and in the work that I do, I always say, okay, if out of let's say a team has 50 players on it, everybody ain't going to the interfere. You're not going. Correct. It just ain't possible. So, you know, at most, I always try to encourage the them to, you know, complete that degree and have another skill to fall back on.

And somebody, you know, one thing we stopped doing, and I remember you you remember chat, Snapchat used to have this feature on it where you could see how fast you're going, like it would test like mile per hour.

And so eventually Snapchat disabled that. And so while this was recorded on TikTok, it was the San Francisco's 49ers player. I don't know if you've seen it, I probably shared it with you.

He's a wide receiver, Brandon Ayuk, is reportedly facing legal trouble, and he does have a warrant out for his arrest because he posted a video where he was actually driving up to the stadium, but he was going in excess of 100 miles per hour. And so, yeah, you know, he deleted it from his social media, but of course they were like, oh no, you told on yourself. We gotta talk to you, sir.

And people think when you delete it from social media, it's gone. Let me tell you, baby, it's not even on Snapchat. Because I think Snapchat has an automatic deleting feature. It's still there. And details surrounding it kind of have been limited, but you know, I kind of get down in the comments. And and what has been said was he got into an altercation with his girlfriend regarding a cell phone, and somewhere in that he bit the cell phone and broke the screen.

And our last story, one, you know, do we perceive uh he was every gay man's crush. Um, and currently is, but I would say he's Drake's gay man's crush. Um Odell Beckham Jr.

He'll be like, you know, I love Drake. I live with Drake in the summertime in his off-season time. Somehow Drake would have some kind of scandal with a woman, you know, a BBW. He would, Drake would have to kind of put another story out to bury um Odell's professed love for him. Odell would be in interviews talking about how he loved Drake. You know, that I don't I don't remember him saying, you know, that's my brother, but and it could be they were just friends, because you know he loves them. He loves him. You know, he's like, I live with Drake. You know, so nonetheless, um he's reportedly returning to the New York Giants. Well, good. Yeah. That was the team that had initially drafted him, you know, for us the start of his new um NFL career. And so what that actually means, you know, he had a good rookie season. But what what it made me think back to was um, because we don't know what the contract is, you know, how much they're gonna pay him or whatnot. But I remember him interviewing, um, I think it was like on a podcast or something, and he was saying that, you know, people viewed $100 million as life-changing wealth. And he pretty much said that is not a lot of money. You know, he said once taxes and investments and business expenses, and of course, you know, hell, just living off of that, you know, it ain't that much money. And so he gets that opportunity to, I guess, add another M or some more M's. And of course, those. I think he sued Nike. It was something going on with his endorsement with them that they weren't properly paying them out. I should have looked into that as well. But for our listeners, you know, we look for that in the comments. You know, tell us what that was about. Um, something he he I think he ended up getting the money um through settlement, or they they found, you know, the courts erred on his side to say, yeah, yeah, yeah, he's actually owed these dollars. Uh, but nonetheless, Odell is back in the league. So I'll well, I think he's always in the league. He never stopped.

So our first wow story, one that Rufus will, you know, you've heard him say it on the shows, is that AI is going to kill us. Um one of the leaders of the artificial intelligence revolution, um, is now warning that the industry may be moving too fast, and that's Dario, and I'm gonna call him Amody. He's a CEO of the AI company anthropic, excuse me, and the creator of the Claude AI platform. He recently said that the AI industry needs an emergency brake pedal to slow development if systems become too powerful or unpredictable. And he, for the most part, has warned that the future AI models could dramatically reshape the workforce, which they already are, um, eliminate millions of jobs, as well as create risk that government and technology companies may not be prepared to manage. And so this means something pretty much because he's in the industry. And so for me, that says, What the hell have you seen that you are now coming forward saying, uh-uh-uh, y'all may want to pull back from this?

Um when it speaks back to me and it's it's picking up on my voice. You know, we always say, Oh, you gotta train your bot, train your bot, you know, if you wanted to write and say some things for you. So it's it's it it it can it kind of creeped me out this past week when I was using, I was like, no, wait a minute now. Yeah, you a little bit too familiar with me. Yeah, you're a little bit too familiar.

I watched this show called Real Time with Bill Moore, like I've been watching it for years, but it's kind of a uh kind of like a visual version of what we're doing right here. But he touched on AL last night and he's like uh in colleges, 70% of professors are using it to grade, and like 90 something per uh percent of students are using it to do their work. So who the what what the fuck is going on? Like, no, there's no human interaction here? Like, this is so fucking weird.

I went to the doctor, you fine. I went to the doctor. Within the last two weeks. And he pulls out his cell phone and it's just dictating everything. And he said, I'm using AI today. And so it literally was just, you know, he asked me questions, I answered. And you could just see the dictation on his cell phone, just writing out what the responses were. And that's my doctor.

And here's the trend, here's the here's the the the through line. Uh that job is called medical transcriptions. My mom used to do this job for like 30 years. That was her job. So now it's been gone, but like just you saying that, like eliminating jobs. Because my mom hasn't worked in, I don't know, a very, very long time. But AI, you don't need, you don't need somebody to uh transcribe those those medical records because AI can do it.

And that might be, I don't know, my algorithm has just been all about swimming pools the last 48 hours. And this one. It's like, but I like looking at I I don't know if it's the water, you know. I always like looking at people's houses, but you know, it's the guys pulling, and I know I think it's the English guy. It's not him, it's everybody else. It's an English guy. I think he's called the pool guy. But it is not his um his page, it's random pages in Canada, even little white women in Kentucky. Uh, everybody's pools are just all over my timeline. I'm thinking, what the hell did I engage with to make my timeline just simply repeat? Now she does have a pool. She does have a pool. Um that was added on later. Oh God, don't we can't go down the rabbit hole. Because somehow, when she was dating Martel Hope from Love and Marriage Huntsville, the thing was Martel was supposed to come over to Atlanta and help her build a swimming pool. They broke up, but nonetheless, Sheree does have that that pool in the back of the chateau, the marvelous chateau.

That's it's just a lot going on. Um, so one thing that it talked about um was that you know, many Americans never learned in school was really, you know, how to swim, and and and not how to swim, but the development of this way, what happened. And so what historians are now saying is that swimming pools in the private backyard um came during a desegregation era. And so when the courts ordered, mm-hmm, as courts had ordered public pools to integrate in the 50s and 60s, some cities just chose to close those pools altogether for you know to allow black and white, they ain't want the black and white people to swim together. They just shut them down.

So when you saw suburban, you know, um, those track homes and all those things and and and neighborhoods becoming private, so of course, the access to to black families in regards to pools, it just did not exist, right? Right. Um, and so that really is talked about, you know, even the racial gap of of swimming, you know, and having access to that, it contributes to a disparity of swimming proficiencies and drowning rates today. So with black folks not even having access, so we still have public pools here in the city of Philadelphia, right? And they do reopen and they close. And so um, you know, it's one thing about it. I'm just like really excited um when they reopen. But you know, just hearing that that that moment, I was like, oh wow.

I find that interesting because like um there is a disparity, like a lot of there's an ongoing known stereotype that black people can't swim. And I remember growing up, I made it a point to tell my mom I want to take swimming lessons when I was like 11 or 12 years old. Um, but yeah, that's that's really interesting, and I never thought about that. So thank you for bringing that to my attention.
