And we're still under the poor air quality from the smoke that has come over from Canada. But aside from that, as I've been looking at social media this past week, man, and even news highlights, Maryland has been underwater. Houston, Texas, other parts of Texas, Southern Texas have been underwater. And as we speak right now, New Jersey and parts of New York City are back underwater again. As far when I say underwater flooding, and one big surprise, Rufus, that I sent you mid this past week was what we ho was up underwater. And so I just remember one Sass Pizzazz, she got on the news, and I think he said something about what uh my leather shoes or something. I just put on my leather shoes and went down the street. You know, but gays can survive anything. You know, we talk about cockroaches surviving. Yeah, but the gays can survive anything. So, unlike the people um that I saw in New York and Soho uh a few moments ago in trash bags moving about the city.
SPEAKER_01So they have the trash bags at because this is funny to me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. They were walking in and you know, it looked like you know how you had the sack race.
SPEAKER_01Where they put the trash bags at?
SPEAKER_00Over their feet. And they were moving about Soho, because remember, it's flooded.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so nonetheless, hilarious.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we want everybody just stay safe. Don't drive through floodwaters. I don't know why people are convinced that their vehicle, for whatever reason, can make it through. Don't do that. And as you are able, you know, check on your friends and family. And so we'll get right into it. Now, one story, Rufus, we're gonna start at the top with something that's very funny. Came about this story, and it's an elderly Florida woman who renewed her personalized license plate, but it actually reads SQZ A55. I saw this. Yes, she insists that it means squeezing her oversized vehicle into tight parking spaces. Now, even though plenty of people think it means something else, you know, she went around her community, she was like, What do you think this place says? What do you think it says? And so, you know, would you want to squeeze an elderly woman's ass, Rufus?
SPEAKER_01If there was a checker attached to it, I sure would. I squeeze it ass all day long. There's a monetary um benefit for me. Yeah, I'll squeeze that thing. Okay. I'm an advocate. Shape like an orange or a peach. Mm-hmm. I commend you for that.
SPEAKER_00I commend you for that.
SPEAKER_01I ain't doing it for free, though.
SPEAKER_00Well, we support, well, over here in this household, the Craig household, we support sex workers. Not me personally, but I do advocate for them. How about that? That is the word.
SPEAKER_01And so sex work is work.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. The oldest profession in the world, okay? So, you know, you gotta give a little something to get a little something. And so throughout history, that has been the thing. And so here we are. But no, I really thought that that was very funny. Now, I wouldn't expect my mom to be walking around with a plate that says squeeze ass, but nonetheless, I don't think she's gonna take it back. I think she was like, No, I'm gonna keep my plate. And I think she kind of led with it being a mistake, but nonetheless, the lady got the plate.
SPEAKER_01I think she should keep it just like I know somebody who had a license plate that said trade.
SPEAKER_00Isn't that amazing? Isn't that amazing? And I think around that air someone had one. Was it a Georgia plate that said bottom boy? Oh, I don't know nothing about that. And there was another one in that same city that said wet W-E-T. And I think it was gonna make an orange and pollen. So personalized plates to Rufus and myself have been around. Um, they're personal between one of us.
SPEAKER_01I'll never have one in my life. Give me the random ABC123. I don't want nothing personalized.
SPEAKER_00There's nothing wrong with a uh a personalized tag that says trade. You know, you gotta keep people reading one thing that we don't see now.
SPEAKER_01It's very comedic, though, you know, because the trade be outside. And, you know, sometimes they say the trade drives an actor, but hey, who knows?
SPEAKER_00All right. Rolling with it, rolling with it. Whether say get with it, what is it, roll with it or get rolled over? I think that's what the rap.
SPEAKER_01Lay down again. Yeah, roll it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know what the exact verbiage was, but I've heard something similar to that for sure. Mm-hmm. Roll with it or get rolled over.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. But nonetheless, now, Rufus, do you watch track? I like watching NBC track and different segments. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Not typically, I don't. I've you know, I've seen some matches and shit, but it's not something that I tune in to watch. Um, if it's on TV, I'll turn it on, but I'm not like looking up the schedule and be like, oh, these niggas running at three o'clock. Let me tune over there.
SPEAKER_00So you know, the pin relays recently happened, I think about a month ago. Um, and and so when you think about a lot of attraction being drawn to that, I think it's the bloopers, is what we may see in the city.
SPEAKER_01I've been looking for them dicks hanging falling out the wheels.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, when people don't secure themselves before they go jump those hurdles. And so you see a lot. But in this particular instance, it's European broadcasters that have encouraged a change of camera angles for women's sports in particular tracks. So the European Athletics and European Broadcasting Union, they're encouraging broadcasters to avoid unnecessary body focused shots during the women's sportings events. Um, instead of keeping, you know, with doing so, it keeps the attention on the athletic performance itself. And so, and I never thought about that when they zoom in, the women are bending over, you know, when they're stretching, they're zooming in. And so it just makes you say, Well, who's behind the camera lens that is calling the shots for this? But now Europe is saying, Well, we want to have morals, okay?
SPEAKER_01I'm not mad at that, but you you know, um, typically when it's shot from a lens of a man, they want to put some provocative spin on it. So I'm not mad at that. You know, everybody don't want to tune in to see the man, the dick falling out the bottom of the shorts or the titties popping out. I'm sure some perverts do, you know, but everybody don't want to see that, so I'm not mad at that.
SPEAKER_00It's a real thing. Some people call a respect, and others say, hey, you might be overthinking that thing. So I'm glad that you were able to kind of land, you got it. You land it in the middle. Some folks be like, eh, I want to see it all. You know, bend over, let that then bring that thing here.
SPEAKER_01I mean, if you want to see it all, you should just take your ass over to Twitter or OnlyFans if you want to see it all, because you can see it all over there.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's a good point. I didn't even think about that. And I'm sure I wonder, are some athletes over there on OnlyFans? We hear about our entertainers every so often being on there, but it's like, oh, but are there athletes on there?
SPEAKER_01We'll probably never know who they are because they may be wearing masks.
SPEAKER_00I was just thinking that. I was like, damn. You know, this has been a week of unmasking. We were talking about sex work. If we reach back to the story prior, um, not to really just expound upon this for a long time. But Twitter has been hot with one particular um sex worker.
SPEAKER_01Oh, oh, the three if you include the couple, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it is you know, watch those tattoos, you all take extra care of yourself. Uh I was shot by a couple of that.
SPEAKER_01Because I followed them on YouTube, and I would have never thought that they was on OnlyFans, but I'm not mad at the time. He's late to the park. Because I had tuned in. He's late to the party. It's it's some good content.
SPEAKER_00And I'm sure you've seen those people in Texas before, right? Have you not seen it?
SPEAKER_01I actually did see them one time in Deep Over. Uh just randomly. I was over there getting some food, and I think I was walking to my car and I saw because they I guess they lived over there. I don't know. But they uh they were walking walking a dog. This is years ago, though. But yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, doing TikTok challenges has brought them to the forefront. So there we go.
SPEAKER_01I hope they capitalize on it. Get y'all money.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think people might be turned off because what's someone, and I've always thought this too. The other person said, uh, one blogger in particular said, well, they look like brothers, but if you're into that thing, go with them.
SPEAKER_01I disagree.
SPEAKER_00But they look just alike, one short around the other one, tall and slim.
SPEAKER_01To each his own. I disagree though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and and speaking of couples, one uncoupling that came across um my news feed and my desk this week, the Tyree Kill divorce settlement. And I don't think you watched WAGs on Netflix with um, I think it was Sharelle Rosario Ocho Cinco's ex-fiance.
SPEAKER_01This person for, just for clarification.
SPEAKER_00Women and girlfriends of athletes.
SPEAKER_01Got it. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. And so uh reports have indicated that Tyreek Hill, his ex-wife, um, is reportedly to receive $50,000 per month and around um six million dollars after their marriage only lasted 17 months.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00And for those that may or may not be familiar with the story, I think there was some alleged DV in there. Um, but nonetheless, she got the hell on. And I remember her on the show. She was kind of reserved. I don't remember him popping up on the show. He may have been on one or two episodes, and it was just one season on Netflix. Um but nonetheless, you know, marriage is emotional, and we know divorce is gonna be financial. And so, Tyreek, you're young enough, you'll make the money back, but you know, clearly divorcing in Florida is very expensive. So might want to go to Georgia somewhere. Anyway, very substantive.
SPEAKER_01That's why our prenups exist. I hope they had a prenup.
SPEAKER_00No, that was it, man. They didn't have one. I guess he thought it was for life. They thought that moment was gonna last for life.
SPEAKER_01She had to come up. I mean, when you get married to somebody, you you should be thinking that it's gonna marry last for life because that's what you go up in front of the preacher in your family and swear to. But it doesn't always work out like that. So I would advocate for prenups and post-nups as well. So take care of y'all's business. Marriage is a business.
SPEAKER_00Nuptuals, nuptial, nuptials, and someone who was looking to move on that wasn't married. Boosie. We talked about Boosie to exhaustion during Prime Month, Pride Month, excuse me, um, last month. And this is crazy as hell. And I was like, what the fuck is going on? It just lets you know anybody can be bought or anybody can get got. Let's just say that. So Boosie has come across our destiny has been in headlines this week because he's suing the political operatives after allegedly playing $600,000 uh for help securing a presidential pardon that never happened. And he's not suing President Trump, you all, but someone that said I can get you to him. And so whenever somebody promises special political access for a price, you know, your your antenna should go up. You know, what were your thoughts on that when you saw that story?
SPEAKER_01Um, I think that Torian Hatch, aka Lil Boosie Badass, is a butter dumbass. So I'm not mad that he lost his $600,000. Because why the fuck why did you think you could just I mean, yeah, fuck him. So I ain't mad that he lost his $600. You got what you deserve. Take your ass in jail now and do your charges on whatever gun gun shit you got charged with. So go ahead. Buy a little ugly ass roach looking nigga.
SPEAKER_00That's it on that. Now, someone who I brought up in the past Um that's also reaching out for the attention of President Donald Trump. R. Kelly has formally requested President Donald Trump commute his sentence, his 30-year sentence, and that was for doing some deviant acts. And um it's commution, not a pardon. So no decision has been made, so we'll continue following this story. But I know you have very strong opinions of that um with keeping predators where they should be. Um some may say that that Robert Kelly has been, is it rehabilitated? That's the word.
SPEAKER_01That's the word, but um, I well, I don't know. I don't know that man. But why do they think he's been rehabilitated? Because he's been in jail for so X amount of years.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's why.
SPEAKER_01I would argue that jail doesn't rehabilitate anybody. You have to decide to be here rehabilitated on your own. Yeah, I don't know if he is or not, but I think he deserves to be there.
SPEAKER_00So well, that's that on that. Rufus has laid it down.
SPEAKER_01I hope he gets a whole lot of fun in jail. Uh ATLT.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, let's move it right along. This is not gonna be the sex work promotion. Why not? You said you're an avocado episode, but we just we're not gonna do that to our listeners. You know, they may not be as forgiving.
SPEAKER_01They might like hearing it. We don't know.
SPEAKER_00We can't we don't know about our South African listeners. Those of us in the U.S.
SPEAKER_01Africa can be gay and proud in South Africa, which is true.
SPEAKER_00But I ain't seen nobody selling it over there. You know, Twitter makes the world so much smaller.
SPEAKER_01We just said sex worker is the oldest profession in the world, so I can only imagine that it's in every part of the world in one way or another.
SPEAKER_00Well, somebody who should have sold it and just lived in history, Stefan Diggs, okay? You know, one thing that popped up this week, we've talked about Stefan Diggs um in the past, and you know, there's a separate lawsuit involving him and his brother. That's been settled. Okay, I think um the accuser was actually, you know, seeking to get um $10 million, but the lawsuit against Diggs is gonna continue, right? Um and pretty much the accuser has pretty much released text messages saying, you know, this supports his claim, and Rufus keeps going on and off of mute. And I keep hearing it and picking it up. It ain't quiet, so we might need to look into some additional uh items in the future.
SPEAKER_01Well, I was clearing my thought and having a drink. I don't think nobody wants to hear me clear my thoughts.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, we don't want to hear that. Now, digs denies wrongdoing, and Cardi be publicly defending him before he responded. And so I think that guy's name is Chris Blake. And some people Yeah, I was just about to say, somebody just said, Here you go again. You took my thoughts. He was like, we're gonna bleed a light skin. That man ain't lying. But I just Cardi stay out of this. This man went and had, is it four or five babies in one year?
SPEAKER_01He had them before he met her, right?
SPEAKER_00No, they all came in one year. It was like, oh, you're gay. And what did he go do? Let me go have a million and one kids. So and it still is not helping the story because yet we see what has come out. And um it's just a lot. Um, it's not something that I regularly keep up with, but we know in pop culture this really has dominated um some of the headlines as as Blake has been approached by TMZ.
SPEAKER_01Um and he did an interview with um one of them, one of them girls, the little wild-headed. What's her name? I'm not sure. Um one of the YouTube girlies that that hates T.S. Madison. Um I don't know. I don't know her name, but I think it was Unwind with Tasha K.
SPEAKER_00I think he was over there. That might be right. Yeah. He was over there. So yeah. Um you know what we would say, just whatever your truth is, just stick with it. Stick with it. You know, he can have a uh goyard bag, a crop top on, but we know athletes are fashion forward now, so you don't really put that on.
SPEAKER_01Maybe they always have been.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you don't put that on sexuality. And one athlete that is just saying no back the fuck up, Colin Kaepernick. We did talk about um this very briefly with Jay-Z's performance this past weekend in New York Yankee Stadium. And so Jay-Z, in his recent freestyle, you know, pretty much said that Colin Kaepernick signed a non-disparagement agreement with the NFL. And then multiple reports um from people familiar with the confidential settlement dispute um claim that that's not true. And so while lyrics can start a conversation, um, it's pretty much worth checking the facts. Why would Jay-Z put that out there? And social media users did not respond in a way that he may have thought that they should have. People ain't on whole side. Now, Rufus, where do you stand?
SPEAKER_01Um, I don't I don't I don't know exactly. Um I don't really have an opinion on this. Uh I think that I kind of agree with Jay-Z, to be honest. Like, nigga, he said that people are talking about him for going over to Target. Now he didn't have to go there and get a bag off of Target, but we are supposed to be barking Target allegedly or whatever. But at the same time, people can because I shop, bro. I want to shop at I don't let the people dictate where where I was making my money at. So I, you know, I'm not mad at that, but that's pretty much how I feel. Like with regard to Colin Kaepernick, he shouldn't, that wasn't his business to tell. He probably should have closed his mouth on that, because that ain't your business to tell, bro. But, you know, it is what it is.
SPEAKER_00But there's that, there's that. Now, somebody who won't be reaching out for help, our dear sister who just crossed Delta C Mitha this, it wasn't this immediate past spring. Last spring, Fawn Reaver has been removed. She and her husband have been removed, and I believe she was the CEO of the Uncle Near's company. And so the court-appointed receiver, yeah, he's terminated her and her husband. Um and, you know, really preparing the company for a possible sale, you know, given that they're in financial turmoil. And so the story has become even more complicated because their former CFO, Michael, we'll say Senzowski, um, has been accused of falsifying financial records and forging Farm Weaver's signature and pretty much alleging um, you know, that she was a part of downloading or not downloading, but withdrawing those loans. And so it has just been a mess. And, you know, this went from one of the biggest black-owned businesses, success stories, to pretty much just being lawsuits and debt and executive foulings. And again, you know, here we are as a possible sale. And we just talked about Jay-Z. You know, I think one thing that they said she had a missed there was he at one point loaned the company $20 million. Um, so it's just a lot with that. I hate that this has happened. It was a wonderful and a beautiful story. Yeah, but one thing we have to be mindful of as soon as we go up, we have to make sure that we have the appropriate securities and and safeguards in place to ensure that nothing like this happens.
SPEAKER_01And also the right people. The right people in your team can make your make or break your dream. Yep, yep. So if you if you if you got the wrong the wrong niggas in the lineup, they gotta go. Yeah, yeah. But I hate that for them. Um I I I actually still want some Uncle Nears. I don't really drink that much, but it's black on, so I wanted to buy into it, but I don't know if it's still gonna be available.
SPEAKER_00I hope it is.
SPEAKER_01But you know, only time will tell.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, scary place. And thinking of time will tell. Brandy, you know, we appreciate you. She is one of my favorite artists. And she did sit down with E. We know coming off the hills of Essence Fest and her going back to her hometown of Macomb, Mississippi. I think they may have given a day to her or something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think something like that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so some unedited photographs appeared, and you know, people were commenting on her appearance saying, you know, hey, it looks like she's lost weight or whatever. We're concerned. And I think you and I have talked, and did we speak about Brandon recently? We may have.
SPEAKER_01Um I think you said something like her being skinny, and I just was like, well, she has been skinny. But then I I looked at those pictures after the fact, and I was like, oh damn, she does look a little small. So I can see where people were concerned.
SPEAKER_00Well, she sat down with E and spoke directly to those people who were criticizing her. You know, it would only be Brandy is old Hollywood, and so she is not, yes, she clapped back on uh Instagram, but she sat down with E and told them that she is healthy. Yes, she is healthy, doing well, and she wants people to remember that everyone's body's changing, okay? And so, you know, just consider that. And she, you know, in her, you know, post on Instagram saying, you know, be kind, okay, be kind. And so shout out to you, Brandy. Um, you get nothing but love from from Rufus and Craig and all of those in South Africa.
SPEAKER_01So go ahead, Miss Vocal Bible.
SPEAKER_00That's it, that's it. And and speaking about a vocal, vocal, excuse me, Bible, the financial Bible. And so we've talked about athletes in the past, and one who is getting it right is DeAndre Hopkins. And he's amassed about $144 million during his NFL career, and he said he spent his offseason um taking finance classes at Clemson because he watched too many athletes lose money by blindly trusting financial advisors. And and Rufus, you know, we've talked about this time and time again um with what needs to happen with athletes. So what are your thoughts on this?
SPEAKER_01Well, I want some clarification. So can you tell us who who he is?
SPEAKER_00He's an NFL player.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um But yeah, I think that's great. Like, I think that, you know, if you have that opportunity to make that amount of money, you should be taking financial classes to better your better suit your you know I'm saying your expenditures and your um your income. So I think that's great. I think he should probably get with his other teammates or other his NFL mates and be like, hey, y'all need to do this, this, and this. Just like I'm doing. Because you don't want to be broke when they decide. That you can't play this game anymore.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm for it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Financial literacy. I think financial, what is it, farm weaver? I think we needed more of that on your camp instead of trusting that guy. But nonetheless, shout out to him. And one story I think that you'll be like, now wait a minute. Shane Sprague of Florida is a U.S. Coast Guard. He's been one for 27 years.
SPEAKER_01A coast guy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00He says he was wrongfully arrested after a dealership mistakenly reported his newly purchased truck as stolen. And so he went into the dealership, paid $65,000 cash. Yes. And what happened, I think within 10 days, I don't know what happened with their bookkeeping, but they did report it stolen, and he was arrested. And so now he is suing the dealership as well as that police department for $800,000.
SPEAKER_01As he should.
SPEAKER_00Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_01They uh sounds like they did something. Their paperwork wasn't right, apparently. Um because if he paid cash, I hope he got a receipt. But yeah, it sounds like they fucked up some of the things.
SPEAKER_00He pulled all of it out. Yep.
SPEAKER_01I hope he gets every penny he deserves.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he needs it because that is just that's traumatic. Right. And speaking of traumatic. Yes, that's his. Speaking of traumatic, lab grown meat. My goodness. Now, lab-grown meat, even to include lab-grown seafood, are now approved. We talked about this previously in the U.S. But states including Florida and Alabama have banned the sale of it, while others are pretty much considering restrictions. So I'm hoping this becomes the thing. But if it becomes a thing, I wonder, would they be a shortage, right? And providing these types of foods to say states.
SPEAKER_01I wonder why they're doing this. Like, why do we need meat grown from a lab instead of meat that just is born and raised? Is it cheaper than raising a cow? It may be. But that make if you say it like that, that makes sense. Because you know, the world, specifically the US, they love to save a dollar. But it just seems like it just doesn't seem natural. Like, why do we why do we need this? Right. Yeah. It's terrible.
SPEAKER_00And something that wasn't wrong in the motherfucking lab as we come to an end this week. I know everyone has seen it. Woo! The bison that attacked a 65-year-old man. Damn.
SPEAKER_01So fucked up by the bison, huh? By the beef.
