And as we approach episode 30, you know, we're really excited, so we'll have a big surprise for you all as it relates to that particular episode. Yeah, yeah. We stay committed to this thing.

SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, surprise to you. And I just listened to a sermon that talked about even Jesus, God Himself, was actually surprised because he was in a human form. I'll get to that later. But not.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna have to offline about the surprise because I need to know what it is. I don't I don't need to be surprised. The people can be surprised, but I need to be able to do it. It's all good.
SPEAKER_01It's all good. Well, you all, you know, who came back into the news this week, and we've been seeing murmuring about that. This would be a good follow-up story to just open up um the show with today. We're talking about Shamron Moore, who has been the unfortunately disgraced head coach at the University of Michigan. So more recently, and it's byproduct um of his the accused, the person that he was in the uh relationship with or whatever, Paige Shiver. Um, of course, we know she's filed a lawsuit against the University of Michigan as it relates to public record and and saying that they've been withholding information um as it relates to her her matter. Um she since has gotten another job outside of the state, and more recently we saw this week, um, Rufus, is that Sharon Moore has listed his Ann Arbor home for sale. So it's getting the fuck out of there. He's out of there, and I I hope something actually comes through for him. Um I can't quite remember if he got an assistant coaching job somewhere else, but I just know these two items were definitely on the timeline this week. So, you know, as we do, we try to connect our current shows to past shows just to kind of bring forward um um past information. So if you think about that, um now Rufus, what would you go ahead?
SPEAKER_02He got acquitted of all that shit, right?
SPEAKER_01Um, I think the charges would lessen, I think they would lessen from felonies down and misdemeanors, and some of those items were thrown out, right? Because I think the initial investigation, um, that attorney came before the magistrate with maybe false information or something, so it forced them to say, you know, we're not gonna move forward with those charges. And um to your point, yeah. Yeah, they moved on to the city.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, let's move forward, Mr. Man.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, absolutely. And somebody who didn't move forward, I don't know if you saw that this week, but it was like, whoa. The Today Show. You're familiar with Al Rorker, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the Weatherman from uh I think he's A B. No, not ABC, CBS maybe, yeah, or is it NBC?
SPEAKER_01NBC. Okay. The Today Show. They actually had a security breach.
SPEAKER_02What happened?
SPEAKER_01So what happened was there was an intruder. He entered the NBC studios and he was looking for Al Roker. But what happened was he ended up confronting Craig Melvin, who was another uh black news anchor, and reportedly used a racial slur.
SPEAKER_02And so this is a white man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. And and one thing that I've seen, like I guess, is they've been releasing footage, that same gentleman, you know how they have the backdrop of the city. He was actually pacing in the background of the live view before I guess he breached the the actual facility. Yeah, yeah. He was actually, you know, they're on the inside, so you have the glass um window behind them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that guy was identified that, you know, in the background. So NBC, of course, has fired um a security guard following that incident, and they're saying that they being on his fucking job. Yeah, they said they've been strengthening their um, you know, their security measures and procedures at the studio.
SPEAKER_02Do we not know why this white man was looking for the good brother Al?
SPEAKER_01Because what the man did, what did Al do to that to that man?
SPEAKER_02Probably nothing, but I'm just curious if we have the info.
SPEAKER_01Because wouldn't he's been sickly lately, right? So I don't know what he was.
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_01It's no telling. It was just it was a burly white man that looked like he could have been in his 60s.
SPEAKER_02You know, uh probably mentally this this whatever, whatever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, maybe Al was his trigger, but he said, I'm gonna go see a man about a man.
SPEAKER_02So it's giving show. It's giving um it's giving the bodyguard with Kevin Cox in Houston. I'm gonna just show up and try to kill your ass. Yeah. Or do whatever. Who knows what he was trying to do? He showed up.
SPEAKER_01I just couldn't imagine that. But you know, I used to always be cognizant of that, because be it that I work, you know, at a school, um, and and a lot of times things tend to happen. And it no amount of security guards, police officers, um, or cameras, if somebody just wants to get there, they're gonna get there.
SPEAKER_02Look at what happened to Donald Trump elizabit. If they hell been on getting there, they're gonna run through that line and do take whatever punishment they gotta say. So you got going right through that shit to get to that uh of that goal.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. So it's it's it's somebody lost their job, and possibly rightfully so, you know, due to that. If that is your job, and and someone breached the parameter of the building, whatever the situation had gotten that close to talent, you know, which says a lot to me. But someone who wasn't too close to talent, let's go down our favorite city.
SPEAKER_02Who was it? Where are we going?
SPEAKER_01Down South City, yeah, of Atlanta. I don't know. It ain't my favorite city, but go ahead. I don't know. Give me too much.
SPEAKER_02Every time I go there, they're gonna give me too much. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I like the chicken wings, so it's got some good people to live there.
SPEAKER_02Lemon pepper wet.
SPEAKER_01Uh no, but I do do lemon pepper hot.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's my go-to. Absolutely. It's J.R. Crick is the one in College Park right outside the airport perimeter. So come on, call it. I enjoy that one, absolutely. So it there was a video about two years ago of this judge who got arrested. I remember seeing it vividly. She was in the back of the police car, and I guess the arresting officer, you know, he had his body camera on, and he was just, you know, I guess trying to contend. She was cussing him out, take me anywhere. But former judge, because she has been released, former judge Christina Peterson. She was an Atlanta judge, right? And she's now suing the city of Atlanta as well as an officer for $50 million. And yeah, because I guess she's saying, hey, I maybe I was wrongfully terminated, she was removed from the bench over ethics violations.
SPEAKER_02And um So if she's suing the why is she suing a police officer?
SPEAKER_01I think because she was arrested. This was she was arrested at a nightclub, but she was ultimately found not guilty.
SPEAKER_02As a judge, you would think she has a better legal grip on her legal knowledge because I don't know what the police officer had to do with her getting terminated from her drive. It's no time. She was found at a nightclub.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm I'm unsure, but it it says, you know, her ethics removal and criminal case are completely separate matters. Um so yeah. She sued they said they they pressed charges against her, whatever happened at that nightclub, that didn't go through. But of course, ethically they say, oh, you're a judge, can't be doing this, we're sitting you down, right? And so baby girl got a lawsuit. I don't know what she's gonna do with that, but you know, when you think about this, and someone in this manner definitely when we think about judges, well, now it's a kind of anything goes thing, and you know, a race to the bottom, as Claudia Jordan would say, when you have the president in chief, you know, in in office right now. So, but but ultimately it looks like they they were trying to maintain um some level um and and resolve any scrutiny. But I'm just thinking when we look for people to recover professionally, I guess Karen Huger has. She got forgiven, she did her bid for the drunk driving. That's a real housewives of Potomac character, you all. Um she was drunk driving in Potomac, Maryland, and um was detained and served, I think, six months or so many months of a one-year sentence, maybe. Mm-hmm. Yeah, but she got really some good behavior. I she did those programs. And she said she was kind of like a mother to all the other things while she was in the jailhouse. Yeah, yeah. So I I for me, I do believe judges should be held to a higher ethical standard. So agree. If you're deciding, do somebody stay free? Uh does somebody go in the, you know, get locked up. And yeah, yeah. So Christina, I won't tell you good luck, just do better. Because that video was that video was horrendous.
SPEAKER_02Do better, Miss Peterson.
SPEAKER_01One thing that I saw that went um, it was viral this week, and we we often we've had a theme on the show, you all, for those who have listened from day one when we talk about our athletes and talk about their money. Good old Michael Vick. And yeah, he sat down on a recent podcast, and he pretty much revealed that the NFL still pays him annually um through retirement as well as their benefit programs. And so, yeah, during that interview, he said he pretty much maximized all of what it is that they had to offer. Um, and he says that former players should pretty much educate themselves on whatever the benefits are available, and so you know, this for the most part is um all about financial literacy, so it kind of ties into when we talk about the economy um to a regard.
SPEAKER_02Are you listening?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, you know, I think that's totally different. Didn't he get a whole payout at some point?
SPEAKER_02Um shit, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01You know, that's never been released, but yeah, Michael Vick was like, look, I got this, I got the insurance, I got this, I got that, and he's like, it it comes in one check once a year. He gets a big drop of money.
SPEAKER_02Oh, they probably taxed the shit out of it, though.
SPEAKER_01You think so?
SPEAKER_02That's still good. Yeah, anytime you get a big ass paycheck from anybody, the you know the government wants their money.
SPEAKER_01But I wonder if it paid in his name or paid through an LLC. You get what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02How did he structure that payment? That would be smart to do it in the LLC, but it's probably taxed at 45%. But uh, yeah, if he got it in the LLC, I'm sure he probably is better for your taxes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm sure it did. So yeah, he was, you know, speaking to that, and I'm like, oh my gosh, ever so often we hear about you know different stories, them going broke, going back to the same projects that they could have, you know, been raised from or removed from or lifted from, whatever the case is, um, escaped from when they get drafted into the NFL or our NBA rather. Um, but shout out to Michael Vick. And I it always takes me to you know where I'm going with this. I don't. Where are we going? I got my. She's still living off that man's money? I guess it's for life. I think she's how many touchdowns did she run? 113 for life? It's it's retirement. So yeah, until you die.
SPEAKER_02No, but that's fucking crazy. Bitch, how many touchdowns did you make? How many run? How many yards did you run?
SPEAKER_01She handled him off, she supported him off the field.
SPEAKER_02So I'll give women that I forced for how long?
SPEAKER_01It came with the supported him.
SPEAKER_02That's that's why she's not getting married again, because she's set on getting that nigga money for the rest of her lazy.
SPEAKER_01But it's only 110. So that back in 2020, you know, was a salary, but I don't know how much that is today. That'll probably be what $50,000.
SPEAKER_02If you get $100,000 right now for sitting on your ass, ain't you gonna take it too?
SPEAKER_01She can go make that in club appearances if she can.
SPEAKER_02She can, but she won't get money too. She can.
SPEAKER_01Well, Bob has proven himself, right? Because if you think about the series, he defeated Phaedra Parks in their courtroom. Oh, he's a good thing. You know, if you think about the whatever, I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_02Probably means I'm defending myself.
SPEAKER_01Well, he did. And so, and one thing, Sharay, I remember the commentary was what, you know, Bob is a is Stanford trained. I guess he graduated from Stanford. And so like Phaedra, what happened? Phaedra was like, You didn't uh what is it, retain me? She never paid, and so Phaedra didn't take the case, or whatever the case was, but nonetheless, it it was a blunder for Phaedra.
SPEAKER_02But Bob needs to tell uh Phaedra what Cynthia told her. Win a case.
SPEAKER_01And what did Cadra's not Cadra? Who the fuck is Cadra? Phaedra's clap back is where I was going with that. Years later was maybe I don't go to courtrooms. We mediate beforehand. I every attorney shouldn't. I'm a good attorney. We don't have to go to courtrooms.
SPEAKER_02If you're a good attorney, you know how to go to court and win.
SPEAKER_01Well, you're right. And somebody who should go to court and win. Um is Brian Clark. And Brian Clark was an NFL analyst that has had a very hard week as a member of Kappa Alpha Side Fraternity, Incorporated, and had a big presence, former NFL himself, on ESPN, and for the most part, they parted ways with him doing a live segment. So I just couldn't imagine sitting, doing a job, going on break, and you're told, hey, you're done, and you don't even get to finish the last 15 minutes.
SPEAKER_02Like I just can wait till I finish this goddamn segment up.
SPEAKER_01Yes, doing a commercial break. And so he just said he was told, hey, you won't be coming back on um after the break. And Cam Newton also lost his ESPN role as well. And so they frame it as a layoff. And one thing Ron Clark has said is that it wasn't a layoff. And I think I I've shared some information with you where he was kind of crying in an interview with a podcaster, pretty much saying, you know, no, I was fired. You know, there wasn't a layoff. And one thing it was that I've been hearing he made some commentary against his white co-host in the past, pretty much saying, you know, no, your stance isn't completely valid because you haven't played in the league. I played in the league. And so when you take those kind of stances, I won't say it's grandiose. Um, as a black man, we see how they come back and handle you later.
SPEAKER_02That's why I was going, they probably labeled him as the angry black man, which, you know, the white world tends to do a lot of times, which is unfortunate. Um, but yeah, uh, I I actually had a situation like that. They call I feel like they called it a layoff, but it really was like, hey nigga, you ain't got this job no more. Yeah. And it was on a, it was on a, I think it was on a was it on a Monday? I don't remember. Whatever it was, but the shit happened. But hopefully he's able to move on and find something bigger and better.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think from what I read, his salary was two million dollars. He can go get that off YouTube and private network. Look at Shannon Sharp and Ocho. Right. I'm sure they're cleaning well over two million because I think uh even Eva. Correct. Two million dollars, you know. Yeah, you have the backing of ESPN, but now you can be direct to consumers. So, you know, go build your own and get your own.
SPEAKER_02I I can see how he was, you know, for me, like for me personally, I don't a lot of people are into entrepreneurship, which is fine for most people, but I don't got a problem with going to somebody else getting a job. But I, you know, I I feel this pain. So good luck to him in the future, future endeavors.
SPEAKER_01One thing and and and his his views are different. Cam Newton said he saw it as an internship. There you go. I was able to buy pretty good now, right? Yeah, he said I was able to learn from them, you know, looking at their whole production setup, and he has a very similar um setup and staging for himself for the shows that he does. So, you know, he learned the trade.
SPEAKER_02Like you just said, all the money's yours. You don't have to split it with nobody. You can kind of you don't have to curtail yourself or censor yourself to their standards. You can say what you want to say. Nope. So good good for them.
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, our next two stories, you all, um, kind of like the wow moment, right? Um, we're going to go back in time with two of our past athletes, you know, um, just to follow this current story.
SPEAKER_02But Dennis Rodman came for Dallas native Dennis Rodman, by the way.
SPEAKER_01I'm in your motherfucking brain. Um, no, he didn't say that. But Dennis Rodman, he claims that Las Vegas Sportsbooks once accepted bets on when he would die.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wow. That's crazy as fuck.
SPEAKER_01Yes, very crazy. Is that recent or did it happen a long time ago? This is well, of course, it's when he was playing. Um, but he said that he never used cocaine or heroin, and he admits that alcohol was one of his biggest struggles.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And so when you think about him, you know, as a young boy, you know, his image was pretty much he had a larger than life personality on the court as well as off the court.
SPEAKER_02He was very aggressive on the court too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so people were just invested in him. He was interesting. You didn't have men with tattoos and colored hair and piercings during that time. He was the show during that time.
SPEAKER_02So I read his book and it's pretty interesting. Oh wow. Um he has a biograph biopic movie that was a lifetime movie, I think, many, many years ago. But interesting story. Yeah, he's a Dallas native, so I was I was curious.
SPEAKER_01Okay. You know what? I remember him on a reality show. Was Tamar on there? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I didn't watch it. I didn't watch it.
SPEAKER_01He was real chill though. He was chill. Yeah. Cool guy, cool guy. And speaking of someone who people would want to chill, but he too has become chill. I think age has slowed him down. Mike Tyson.
SPEAKER_02I love Mike Tyson.
SPEAKER_01Mike Tyson has said that his mother gave him alcohol and marijuana when he was about 10 years old.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wow. Yep. That explains a lot.
SPEAKER_01He said she was trying to calm him because she didn't know what else to do.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yep, yep. So he he credits um Cas Duamato with changing the direction of his life. And so, you know, this is a story about childhood trauma when you think about it. And really how I would say he overcame that, you know. Um I think he paid a lot of people bills and sent people to college while he was in prison. I remember seeing another story. So he's been kind of in the news cycle this week for sure. Um, highlighting this as well as the good that he did, even during one of his darkest moments. And so, you know, shout out to you, King.
SPEAKER_02You called it Duamato. Duamato?
SPEAKER_01Uh Damat Damato. That was the person's last name. C U A. Oh, that's a person. It's a person, yeah. Yeah, he credits that person with changing the direction of his life. Okay. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_02He had a big podcast too. I don't know if it's still on or not, but it was like him and his guests would like get high together. It was interesting.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02He's a big he's a big marijuana cannabis.
SPEAKER_01Living life. Talk about living life. Now let's pivot right back to Georgia. Because one thing we talk about the legal system and the city of Atlanta. Let's go on back.
SPEAKER_02Georgia.
SPEAKER_01Now, uh but this is with our our athletes. So um this is a follow-up story as well where we talked about Anthony Edwards. Now it was a Georgia judge that has ordered him to pay $3,222 per month in child support. Now, if you recall, he's already paid $110,000 towards his daughter's care. And this is a one-year-old, you all. And so there is also the case is it's pretty much centered on jurisdiction between Georgia and California. So what has happened? The baby mom said, Well, hey, you know, if you go out to California, you get more money as it relates to child support. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Sound like she ran a scam like Carey.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she was trying to get on out there, and just like, oh, no, no, no, no, no. And what was happening beforehand, he was sending $5,000 monthly to the child. But since she took this to the courts, she's only getting this $3,222. And on the California side, that judge has said, no, you got to show a little bit more that you you you only make zero dollars a month, as well as I think having to prove something around her residency. So it's a lot going on with that.
SPEAKER_02Um I was just about to say, does she live in California or does he live in California?
SPEAKER_01No, but she ran out there to try to foul this, you know, to say, oh yeah, I live out here in California. So yeah.
SPEAKER_02Where all my scamming and it's not gonna work.
SPEAKER_01It's not gonna work. And so even though he's you know, his I think his recent contract was hundreds of millions of dollars, but baby, you're getting this three thousand two hundred and twenty-two dollars.
SPEAKER_02I hate how some of these women be using their kids as uh as a fucking um yeah, uh uh I don't know what the word is, but they be using their kids to get money from cash register.
SPEAKER_01I think Wendy Williams said that about Evelyn and remember Evelyn Lizzotto and the Lazato, yeah, went in on Wendy Williams talking about what Kevin was spending his money on. Don't matter.
SPEAKER_02I hate it. If you have a child, just take care of the child. You ain't gotta. I'm sure the dad will pay what he needs to pay, but don't be trying to milk it. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The challenges of that. Now, you know, there are different challenges, even post-mortem, and and these this next story kind of highlights two of our uh beloved actors that have passed and and families are kind of really at at odds as it relates to the settlement of their estates. And the first one, of course, is Chadwick Bozeman. And his brothers want, you know, his widow Taylor Simone, um, Libra to remove, they want her removed as the estates administrator. And they pretty much have said that um assets still have not been distributed nearly, you know, six years after his passing. And so he did die without a will, and um everything shifted over to his past. And so um that's different. And and and also that's Came through the news cycle this week was Malcolm Jamal Warner. And his widow was suing the mother over his estate matters. And she says that Malcolm did intend to update his estate plan, but died before doing so. And they're operating off of an estate plan that was made, I think, either 90s or the 80s.
SPEAKER_02Um test the validity of it, I'm guessing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was yeah. She was saying he promised her like 1.5 million if something were to ever happen to him. So, you know, I hope that works out. Um, estate planning matters for those who actually have to be.
SPEAKER_02That stuff is very important because if you die in test state, your stuff can and I'm I'm I need to do this myself because I don't have the will, but you die in test eight, you don't have any control on where your money goes, and that's you know, it that's not not a good thing. No, you don't.
SPEAKER_01You do not at all. And and now we're gonna tissy roll and backslide back to Atlanta. This is, you know, child. We stand up in this ragged ass Atlanta.
SPEAKER_02Are we a college parking now? Where we at?
SPEAKER_01We're going back to Atlanta, and so now we're back with the city of Atlanta. And so I read this story from the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Um, and reports have been that the consultant, Forrest Webb II, earned about $35,000 a month, and they found that there's little documented work supporting the payments. And so these arrangements have raised questions about oversight on taxpayer dollars. And so Fred is an attorney, um, had a contract with the city of Atlanta, and over three years he made a million dollars. I think, is it a million? Yeah, it was a million. And they're saying that his salary, what he was paid, was more than what they paid a mayor of Atlanta.
SPEAKER_02And so you're talking about his name is Forbes Webb.
SPEAKER_01I said Fred. Forrest Webb, excuse me, the third, um, that had this contract. And so it just speaks to I I work in a space where consultants get these contracts, and you do see little of what they do. You know, there has to be accountability in place. You know, they come in and say, Yeah, I'm gonna do this, this, this. They sell the organization or agency a dream, and guess what? Nothing ever materializes. Yeah, nothing changes. They're gone with the wind, gone with the wind. So, you know, shout out to the City of Atlanta for doing that audit, and we'll see. I now that's a story I do want to follow to see what the hell has happened to Mr. Forrest. And we'll stay there just a little while longer. This is too like a follow-up story as well, you all, with Drew Cabor and Ralph Pittman. Yeah, their divorce is finally finalized, and Ralph did make the payment. It was a little over $145,000. Um, and Drew had to transfer her ownership and interest in the home that they had their murder home by August, to which she's already done. Um, and Ralph has already made that payment. So, Drew, you know, do right by your $145,000 payment. And that was, I think they've been going through this divorce battle for about three years. It's been a long time.
SPEAKER_02It's been a long ass time.
SPEAKER_01It's been about three years, so now they can finally move on. And so um, I guess shout out to them. And you know.
SPEAKER_02So he's gonna he gonna come up out the basement and make Drew move down the road.
SPEAKER_01She's out. All right. So I I you know, I hope she makes a good decision because if you remember, she was saying that she did not have a means to make money. I think she said she was making about what $10,000 a month.
SPEAKER_02What's she making on the show?
SPEAKER_01I think that salary. Remember when we looked at it, it was a little bit over $400,000.

SPEAKER_01Okay. I guess her payment to herself was $10,000. You know, you remember Drew had a team of 15 people. This manager, this assistant, this. And I'm you're right. You know, you would think she was Michelle Obama or somebody. Like you continuously book for gigs. Oh, Oprah, better. It's like she's kind of just been there, she's been present.

While she was pardoned by President Donald J. Trump, I think that's his name, J. Trump. Yeah, she was found guilty of punching one of the police officers during that Capitol riot. So while she is 72 years old, bitch, you won't be practicing. I think she was an OBGYN, is what I read, and had some kind of another certification and addiction studies or something like that. But she's done. She is done.
