SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. We're excited to be here. So we're just gonna get right to it. We're not gonna withhold. There's no foreplay today. We just going right into it. Oh, we're not taking it. Hey, let's go right to it. Put that tongue away. Anyway. What? Yes. Speaking of tongues that should have been kept in their mouths and not making false promises, there was a man who was found dead. He's an alleged NFL scammer. And so Muhammad Kobali, age 24, has been who he really, we gotta speak past tense at this point, had been accused of scamming former NFL players through an e-commerce investment operation. He was found dead in a swimming pool at a New Jersey home, and this was at the end of July, right? So there were at least three former NFL players reportedly claimed losses totaling more than $1 million. Now, former Giants linebacker, I remember seeing this um interview, Rufus. Tay Crowder reportedly invested $500,000. Now, doing that newscast, they said, oh, this was all of his savings. He said, you know, well, yeah, that was it. So the allegations involved investments in e-commerce or Shopify stores that were supposedly generating significant sales. Now, Cully, the one that's deceased, he denied wrongdoing and had not been criminally charged. Now, his his death, excuse me, oh, goodness, tongue tied, huh? Adds an extraordinary. Yeah, put that tongue away. Um, to an already unusual story. So, what we should take away from this is that we should not connect that particular death with the allegations until authorities have come forward to pretty much establish it. Now, beyond how this story ended, I keep coming back to somebody putting their entire $500,000 savings into one investment. Now, Rufus, how do professional athletes protect themselves from people who see their money as an opportunity?
SPEAKER_01I would hope they put it in some type of trust or some some kind of way, you know, to shield it from others. But if they if you have control of your money, you can do with it as you wish. Um, but I would hope they put it in a trust or some type of uh protective account. I don't know what that would be because I don't work in banking, but yeah, something like that. I mean, I don't know what the proper way is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we talk about this so often about how they need what counseling and financial literacy classes. So clearly he was at the end of his career and said, you know what?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna basket off in one basket.
SPEAKER_00This should never look good. Yeah, I was told it was like the guy was flashing up screenshots, and not to take away from this story, but it makes me think about Christian Gold, who was Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wise when it was a thing, her now husband. Um, he would flash something on the screen and send them screenshots of how their monies were performing on the market and get people to send him tens of thousands of dollars. So in this particular story, the now deceased allegedly was showing them like the back end of these online stores and saying, hey, it's pulling in this much money, it's pulling in this much money. I just need there are more solidified ways.
SPEAKER_01And it was all the scams set up by Todd. Question mark.
SPEAKER_00Found a dummy, found a dummy, found a dummy.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna there's a million and one dummies in the world.
SPEAKER_00So well, this one will have a half a million dollars left and said, I'm gonna risk. I'm a risk, it oh sucks to suck. He did that. And speaking of sucking, Steadman Bailey had an incident. We talked about it at the top of the show, Rufus, uh, putting tongues away in a Florida arcade arrest. So former NFL wide receiver, Steban Bailey, was arrested following allegations of sexual activity with a woman, as Al Reynolds would say, um, inside a Florida mall arcade. And so this alleged incident happened at round one inside the Pembroke Lakes Mall, and police reportedly relied in part on surveillance footage as well as a witness's statement. And so barely acknowledged, you know, exposure and reportedly denied intercourse occurred. Now, between him and that woman, they were severely inebriated. And, you know, this is just kind of crazy considering that in 2015, he was actually shot in the head, uh, which ultimately ended his NFL career. Yeah, so he's now 35 and you know, kind of making decisions that just ain't right. So thinking, you know, hey, I got shot in the head in an NFL career. This man is still, it kind of highlights, you know, the decisions that he is choosing to make. Rufus, have you ever had public play?
SPEAKER_01No comment. All right. Have you?
SPEAKER_00I think I kind of got choked out a little bit. In my younger years, I would say yes, right? But when I say public, those interactions will make maybe a dark movie theater, uh, maybe a car at nighttime or something like that. But not something about a mall arcade. I just think about in my older years, the sanitation of it all.
SPEAKER_01I'll say this I have lived a life.
SPEAKER_00Hey, live.

SPEAKER_00Hey, we sure will. We sure will. That's wonderful. Keep living too. Mm-hmm. So, no, I just think uh we gotta look out for people. So that's that's one dummy, two dummy. Are there more?

Well, okay, the the quote unquote sports section, because that wasn't. I don't even know those people you just named. I'm like, I'm glad you clarified who stepped. I'm like, who's stepping? Who? I'm the only statement I know is Oprah's man. So yeah, that was new to my I don't know these people, but yeah, let's go on.
SPEAKER_00What did Rashida say roll with it or get rolled over?
SPEAKER_01And I guess I got rolled over because we was we was right there, and I just kept rolling on like a fucking load of lunch in the dryer.
SPEAKER_00It's all good. You came out clean. Anyway, somebody who didn't come out clean with passengers on this one flight. Now, Rufus, you have been in the air quite a bit lately, and you know, there was a toddler who seemingly had a meltdown, and ultimately that particular flight got canceled.
SPEAKER_01And so Because of a toddler?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he refused to take a seat and put on his seatbelt. And so passengers were um, you know, pretty much said, hey, you we ain't taking off. The plane said we ain't taking off. So y'all asses got a deep plane, you ain't going nowhere. The crew could not manage this toddler. And when we think about it, I guess if you pay for a seat, and when they say, I'll call everybody, put on your seatbelts and sit down. His little ass was supposed to sit down too. There was no exception. He is not a lap child.
SPEAKER_01Where were his parents?
SPEAKER_00Sitting next to him. They couldn't control him either.
SPEAKER_01That's insane. You can't control a fucking toddler. That's that just that's that's that's really something. Neither I I want to ask the infamous question, but I'll just forego that question because I think I know. But you can't control a toddler. How can you not control a toddler? You should have sat his little ass down in the seat. It's that simple.
SPEAKER_00Listen, I remember being on the flight. It was probably this past summer, and I remember the little baby. It was the cutest little voice, and the little baby said, I want to go up. Why are we not going up? I remember you talking about this. I do remember you talking about this. And I'm just thinking, little baby, my sentiments are exactly the same. I want to go up too. And so maybe this Tyler was turning the fuck up because you know they get us in these planes. Well, they get us to these airports, we sit, and depending on which airline, and and I had been on quite a few American flights for 2026. And it has just been delay after delay after delay. And so when I think about that baby saying, I want to go up, maybe this Tyler said I want to go up. You bitches are taking too long. And so, but just thinking about that interaction.
SPEAKER_01He didn't sit his little ass down and the parents, I hold the parents responsible because you can sit that goddamn child down, whether you swat him on the ass, whatever. If it was my child, his ass would have been in that motherfucking seat.
SPEAKER_00That baby said he ain't going nowhere. And neither of y'all, bitch. This trip is over. We're gonna stay grounded.
SPEAKER_01Well, I guess we see who's in control over there in that family.
SPEAKER_00He wrote it, he wrote, and speaking of control in the public's truck, we're gonna pivot now. Whew! So, CNN has reported that dozens of cases involving officers accused of improperly using automated license plate reader systems, including flight cameras, to track women in their personal lives. Now, flight cameras can identify license plates and help law enforcement locate vehicles. Now, they are increasingly common across the country, and the Institute for Justice has identified at least 28 cases involving alleged misuse by officers to track romantic interest. Now, one former Milwaukee officer reportedly searched for his romantic partner 124 times and her ex another 55 times just to show. I'm not sure if he got fired. Now, this demonstrates that, of course, there's a difference between whether technology is useful and whether access to it can be adequately controlled. Now, of course, every search should arguably be have you know be legitimate and documented for law enforcement purposes. Um but you know, thinking about this, this data can reveal, you know, where you work, your home, any relationships, uh, medical appointments, religious institutions, and daily routines.
SPEAKER_01Um are you reading that from somewhere?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00You know, we read the facts over here. Now fact check what the woman said. Now check that.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know Flock can do all that. I thought flock is just uh you can look up. I can see you can see where it's speaking about location. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I'm saying. Location data reveals that. But yeah, I think that's that's that's terrible. And those officers should be uh punished for that shit that they did because you have a public trust. You can't be out here misusing the information for your own personal devices because you wouldn't want nobody to do that shit to you. You wouldn't want nobody looking up your license button number and saying, Oh, he went to Kroger at 230 this morning. He went over to so-and-so's house at 305. I guess you bought clones at Kroger and went over there at 305 and did, you know what I'm saying? That that's not that's not right. So take that tongue away. Y'all need to be punished for that shit. So I'm not mad at it. And I I've been seeing that a lot of flock cameras have been being destroyed, which I'm not, I'm actually not mad at that either. So you know it is what it is.
SPEAKER_00Once you click once, they keep coming. And I say that because I don't know what the fuck was going on with my algorithm for the little bit of time that I was on social media, but it was about all of these bad, dirty cops, and of course, a lot of them, and it was like zeroing into Texas and primarily in the Houston area, you know. Ugh, I'm just I'm I think I've tricked my algorithm to go in another way back to the Dobermans and the horses. So shout out to me and shout out to us because I was tired of looking at dirty cops. So, but nonetheless, you know, those police officers that tune into our show, don't do this. Don't be one of these people, okay?
SPEAKER_01I'm sure they're don't do it.
SPEAKER_00Okay. We want you to continue to be model citizens. And speaking of model citizens, we're gonna take this moment to do it with a pivot over to our economy section.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and so we're talking about money now.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. We're gonna TikTok into my area. So the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and Arts plans to implement first-year grading model, um, a first-year grading model, excuse me, beginning with students entering next fall. So fall 2027, during this first semester, there'll be eligible courses that will appear as a pass or no record rather than the traditional A, B, C, D, or F letter grades. And so, yeah, okay, students will still actually be graded by the faculty. So a C minus or better, they do use a plus and minus system, generally translates to a pass, and grades below that threshold will not appear on the transcript under the program. So the goal is to encourage or in exploration and reduce the pressure surrounding students' transitions to college. And so, um, for me, this is bullshit. I was just about to ask you what your opinion on that is. It's bullshit, and it makes me think it just highlights how underprepared um we are in this country as it relates to really they graduating college, right? I mean, high school rather, and entering college. You know, there are concerns um about these generations that are coming, and I just think they're gonna be a totally, you know, um dependent population. So, and and it all boils down to why I put it in the economy section, is money. So, you know, when people flunk out, you don't get to re-enroll them in next semester, they're out. And so depending on what their satisfactory academic progress or um policy is, you know, from a financial aid standpoint or either their academic standing policy, somebody it could be one semester or one year, and you lose those persons, which impacts other metrics like retention, which is who stays from first year over to second year of enrollment. And so those different metrics, they're just coming up with ways to bullshit. It just takes me back to COVID and in the line of work that I do. You know, when you start looking at grades and stuff, trying to help these students, it's challenging because it's like, well, what the fuck was a P in biology? Bitch, you're trying to get in med school. And so that came up. How are we interpreting this?
SPEAKER_01And I agree with your sentiment. It does feel it to me, it feels like you remember in kindergarten, you got a password for L or Correct, uh complete or incomplete or whatever. It feels like that same thing, it's a degree of measurement, but I feel like it's not specific enough for somebody that's trying to get a higher education, particularly if you're trying to move into a field that requires you to be um at a like a higher level than most like you just said, medicine or law or something like that. You need to be able to articulate, hey, I gotta, I'm superior to most people in this subject, in my opinion. Because pass or fail is like it's it seems like they're just trying to placate and make things easier and not hurt everybody's feelings. Everybody's not good enough to be at a a a superior level, like it's just part of it's just life. It's like a participation trophy, like it just doesn't feel right to me.
SPEAKER_00I think it's bullshit. The motherfuckers coming there underprepared.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I agree with that too.
SPEAKER_00And they don't want to lose those tuition dollars. And so what do you do? Oh, we're gonna put it on mental health because who would say, oh no, do not protect their mental health. Nobody's ever gonna come out in that way and say, oh no, give them their F's. Nobody would ever say that.
SPEAKER_01But you're right. We need the students need to be prepared to go to college, and this is why I always say college isn't for everybody. And if it is, if you need to, like if you're behind in your whatever requirements, you need to you need to take those prerequisite courses, even though you're not getting the three hours credit for it. You need to prepare yourself for your future. It just makes sense. I don't know what the fuck we're doing today.
SPEAKER_00Playing, piddly paddling around. Right. Shout out to my godmother Brenda. Yep, just flip-flopping around. So, yeah, good luck to those of you who are going to the University of Michigan. Enjoy your axe education. And the economy, you know, in our last episode, we talked about the illustrious Mecca, Howard University. They're reportedly offering voluntary separation or buyout opportunities to roughly 600 eligible employees amid rising cost and financial pressures. And so, this of course doesn't mean that Howard is laying off 600 employees, um, considering this is again it's voluntary. So buyouts pretty much allow institutions, institutions, excuse me, to reduce payroll expenses without immediately turning to layoffs. And so there are some operational consequences when you think about that, when you take people off and put them out. Um, and you know, thinking about, hey, well, institutional knowledge is gone. But given where I have been, you bitches need to go. I'm tired of you. You need to go. And I think, you know, it's it's unfortunate. It speaks to it's in the economy section for multiple reasons. Um, number one, people are staying on these jobs, they're dying on these jobs, they're retiring from jobs, coming back to a job. That's why I didn't get a job um at a particular institution because the person retired and came back and wanted to retire again off of a higher salary. So it was allowed, absolutely. You bitches need to go home. You're stopping progress, and you are probably the same bitches that are sitting at these colleges like the University of Michigan saying, Oh, they feel so bad we shouldn't get. Who thinks of this bullshit? And to go with what Rufus said, you motherfuckers shouldn't be here. There is something that you can go do with your motherfucking time instead of wasting dollars and think, you know, your parents sending you off. Oh, Bob's at the University of Michigan. No, Bob ass could have been a wonderful plumber. Because I've told Rufus before, if I could do it all over again, I would have gone and been a plumber. Because guess what? If that motherfucking pipe burst or electrician, you need license, you need water. It doesn't matter. You're going to pay. It doesn't matter. Now, however, little Susie, we don't give a fuck about her philosophy degree, bitch. You can't read, you can't write. Right. Go do something else, bitch. It's something else you can do, Susie. Okay? What Drusador say? Did you sell it? Anyway, so all things considered, Howard, this isn't anything new. I worked at a school where they were buying people, them old bitches, they gotta go roofless. They sit up there 70 and 80. They foul grievances on those of us who are under the age of 50, and it is challenging. It's challenging working with them. But it just speaks to this economy that these bitches keep showing the fuck up.
SPEAKER_01It seems like uh Howard should have plenty of money because they had one position in particular open for several months, maybe even a year. So it feels like they should have plenty of money because they've been saving all of that money on that one position they haven't filled in all this time. But hey, I guess when you mismanage the funds, you gotta you gotta figure out a way to recoup them some kind of way.
SPEAKER_00Maybe. And some one institution that has figured that out, and this is to round up our economy section today, uh, is the University of Tulsa. Well, second to last for economy. So the University of Tulsa plans to dramatically reduce its published undergraduate tuition beginning also fall 2027 to an asking price from roughly $54,000 to $25,000. So that's like half, okay. That's right. That's roughly a 54% reduction in the advertised price. And so that gets directly at higher education's high tuition and a high discount model, right? So many private universities advertise these enormous tuition prices when you think of like a Howard, they'll be just referenced. Um, and they provide significant institutional scholarships, right? So somebody is gonna pay the $50,000 price, but those who qualify will get the education typically is by half, you know, at a $25,000 rating. So again, when you look at this, you know, this is a field that I work in. I do love it. Um, however, people ain't coming to college no more when they can sit on a podcast like the Rufus and Craig Show and have a huge audience in South Africa, right? Can we reduce down basically 250?

SPEAKER_01I have a question I want to pose to you about higher education. And you don't have to answer it if you don't want to, because it's kind of controversial, maybe. But do you think uh college should be free here in the US?
SPEAKER_00If they follow them out, or it can be. I think they should explore it. Yeah. Yeah, you can. And it is. In some regard it is. When you look at some states, it's subsidized because remember the dollars have to come from somewhere. So it is, you know, when you but again that's handled more so at the It would be the states that would have to decide that. And so in a way it is here.
SPEAKER_01I think my opinion is, and I know we're trying to move on, but I'm gonna just say this real quick and we can move on. I my opinion is that I think you should have to pay something. Now I don't think that it should be as much as it is now because it's ridiculous that a college degree costs $54,000 a year. That's crazy. But I think it should, I think you should have a some type of stake or investment into it. Because that means that kind of uh motivates you to finish it. But that's just my opinion, so we can move on.
SPEAKER_00No, you're good. They're examining every model and the way this man is going in that White House, that president, they they're trying to gut away at it anyway. So all the best. Two more years, right? Two more years.

SPEAKER_00Uh so let's go up. Let's go up. I want to go up. We're gonna go back up as our final story for the economy section. So American Airlines is reportedly seeking 1,205 flight attendants to be willing to take a month of voluntary unpaid leave.
SPEAKER_01Everybody is broke. What the fuck?
SPEAKER_00Yep. And there they don't have a government to bear them out. Shout out to President Joe Biden. I think even other presidents that said we're gonna pump more dollars into the airline industry. And so this is, you know, voluntary, unpaid time off, right? And for some employees, it's an extended break. So it could be attractive, you know, for those that felt forced to work now. But of course, most people simply can't say, okay, yeah, I'm gonna take a month without no pay, unless you go do OnlyFans. So pull those tongues out, okay? Pull the tongues out. Um, since we opened up talking about it.

SPEAKER_01I've been hearing that America Airlines is doing pretty bad. Um out of the out of the big three airlines, I think they're at the bottom of the barrel. Like they made a lot of wrong decisions during COVID. You know, COVID airline travel kind of went away. United and Delta has bounced back, but I don't I don't think America has bounced back. They sold a bunch of planes during COVID and they didn't do their route planning correctly, is what I'm from the research that I've done. That's what they're saying. So it's unfortunate because we need American Airlines. We need every airline because right now these tickets are stupid. Like I when I went to um the Dominican Republic last week, the fucking my ticket, my return flight was like $800. Crazy. And it's just a DR, it's like a two-hour flight, it's not that far away. So yeah, it's crazy.
SPEAKER_00I remember flying near around trip for under $300. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's that's crazy. That's really sad.
SPEAKER_01Woo! But that's the world we live in now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, here we are. And one person who was changing the world as we rounded our show. Brandy, the millennial manager, uh McGeal. Oh, I don't know her. Okay. She has you seen her. She'd be like, hey, bitch. I still don't know her though. She has used her social media to publicly challenge conditions and spending within the Detroit Public Schools Community District. Um after initially looking at, you know, into Denby High School for her son. And so her original concerns included school facilities, air conditioning, athletics, and difficulty reaching out to district officials. And so she then expanded her investigation into a broader questions about resources for the district, right? And so um one thing that she has done, she put the motherfucking receipts up. She went right to the district's website, she talked about the contracts when you think about de-icing parking lots and things of that nature. You might have two people for the same fucking schools paid. I think one contract was let's say $900,000, and another one might have been $750,000 for the same time period. And it she's been challenging the shit out of them. She's talked about the low attendance at the school board meetings. You know, they're gonna be opening like some school districts um across the country with not enough teachers present, but it's the contract pieces where she's been tearing their asses up, and I love it. So opposed to it just being a Detroit, Michigan conversation, you know, it has now become a United States of America conversation. So that really speaks to the power of social media, hence why we're big in South Africa.
SPEAKER_01A lot of contracts get uh, I think they get front loaded, so they'll make a they'll get a whole lot of money in one time, but then they don't, they're not able to do the work, or they take years and years and years to do the work or the over budget. And yeah, uh that needs to be regulated, so I'm not mad at her for that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. She talks about you know, no programming for the schools and things of that nature, and really people are not answering the motherfucking phone. Bitch, are you here? Hello?

So I'm originally from a place in the south, and the then superintendent, again, this is a black school district, as far as those who go there, it's in a black city, but they had a white superintendent, and supposedly- in the city you from? SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. So I guess this meant the education episode. Because our last story coming in for the what? Houston news is so fucking messy. And it just so happened that this media personality um lives. Well, now his scamming ass is there. So, Darius Williams, widely known for online for, you know, Darius Cooks, went viral after discussing literacy concerns amongst seniors he teaches at Wheatley High School in Houston. And so he said he gave seniors an assignment involving reading and writing two well, they they were supposed to read two paragraphs and write a sentence. He claimed that some of them struggle significantly with the assignment, and he subsequently said that he had seniors who could not read. That's how the fat bitch was laughing.

SPEAKER_00So Fox 26, because he is a fat bitch. Fox 26 confirmed Williams is listed as an E NES CTE teacher in a non-functional foundational program. He's teaching bitches how to cook. But anyway, how to do what? How to cook. Uh however, Houston um what is it, independent school district, defended his acad his Wheatley's academic progress and said that students arrived with varying academic needs. And so that was that weak ass superintendent, um, who he probably sucked off in, allegedly sucked off the bathroom.

SPEAKER_00Yeah. So it people have come forward. The students have come forward with other teachers, pretty much say that this is some bullshit. And he used us for online engagement. That's why he's a fat bitch. Get out of them people's school, Darius. I didn't even know you had qualifications to get in front of kids. This is not somebody that just shows the desperation of education. You know, we just talked about Brandy and the pressure she's putting on Detroit public schools. We need a Brandy. I know she visited Dallas because E saw her. Hey, E. She saw her walking downtown. Well, I think her husband was parking the car. Um, this is Brandy. E the Brandy. Anyway, so somebody needs to put the pressure on Houston Independent School District because this is some bullshit that you got darius motherfucking cooks in front of your kids. That's challenging. I don't like it.

SPEAKER_00The one who had all them scamming as restaurants in Atlanta that shut the fuck down. They're still hosting cooking classes and nobody, you know, and that he cancels or does not show the fuck up or does not release the anonymous address to cooking with Darius. He is a con artist, and I need his contract canceled. Get him the fuck up out of there.
