Happy Monday morning. Quick disclaimer, you're getting the raspy just getting over a virus version of me today, so we're just gonna have to make it work. This morning I came across a quote that made me pause. What we see depends mainly on what we look for. And I thought, yeah, that feels true, especially this morning because when I woke up, I wasn't looking for anything inspiring or energizing or hopeful. I was scanning my body for signs that I was still sick, asking questions like. Do I feel worse? Am I going to make it through the day? Should I cancel things? And the more I looked for signs of not feeling well, the more I found them and it made me realize I'm actually not very intentional. About what I expect from my day. I kind of just wake up and let my brain go wherever it goes, and usually it goes straight to, you know, what's not feeling great when I'm anxious about or worried about. But I know people who do something very different. They start their day by naming what they expect to see. They literally speak it out loud and say things like, thank you for the good that's coming today. Thank you for the opportunity to make a difference. Thank you for what's going to work out in my favor. And I used to hear that and think, really, but when you think about it, it's not that mysterious. If you train your attention to look for something, you're far more likely to notice it and perhaps even magnetize it to yourself. Same day, different filter, different experience. So today I'm experimenting with that. I am not going to ignore the fact that I'm getting over something, but. I'm also not making that the only thing that I'm looking for, because both can exist. So here's the question I have for you. What are you choosing to look for today before your usual way of seeing takes over? Have a good one.
