Here's an excerpt from the upcoming episode of Distortion Analysis. Oh, there you go. Okay. Oh, what the hell? You can scroll. Oh, the guy's in my shirt. Hello. You've caught me gloving a human skull. That is our topic of the podcast. It's gear. We're just going to talk about the actual equipment. There's other uh elements, obviously, um, like the the pickups and the guitars that are being used. Yep. That makes a huge difference. Oh, yeah, big time. Strings. The strings. Yeah. And and finally, last but not least, the fucking hands. Yeah. The player. The hands. Yeah, the player, 100%. The the famous example that gets thrown around is if I gave you Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar, and even if you knew how to play guitar, it's not going to sound like him, even if it's plugged into his Fender app. Yeah. Even if I was wearing his hands on my arms, I still couldn't get it to sound like him. After this album got recorded, they built these actual speaker coffins that the speaker cabs would sit in to isolate themselves. Oh. I'm gonna do two of these together. Load in ninety-six and reload in ninety-seven. Oh, okay. All right. Yeah. Uh this is when they discovered mid-range frequencies. Load was described as uh AA meetings and band drama. Well, let's uh let's move to the the high point. Oh boy. Uh-huh. Yeah. The high point, all right. Uh also described as plug-ins and sadness. Even the jaw moves a little bit.
