Hello everyone and welcome to the Faithfully Her podcast. It's Joy, and today our lesson is titled She's Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. So actually, I got to teach a ladies luncheon, um, but for the little kids, because it was a mother-daughter banquet, and the lesson was Fearfully Wonderfully Made. So I thought I would just make that the podcast for this week. So yeah, here we go with our game. So I have six scenario questions, and I'll give you a scenario and then a couple options for what response you could have in that scenario. Um these are like also kind of weird, funny ones, so bear with me here. Number one, um, you wake up and your mirror starts talking to you every morning. Do you a talk back like it's normal, B cover it immediately, C, ask it for life advice, or D move out of the room? I would probably B cover it immediately because I would be scared. Number two, you're given unlimited money, but you can only spend it in 24 hours. Do you A buy everything you've ever wanted? B donate most of it, C panic and buy random things, or D open a snack empire. Um I probably do I guess A and B, I guess, because I really love giving people things, and if I had like unlimited money, I would just probably honestly I would probably just go through drive-throughs and give people like a million dollar tip. Um and then also have about a couple things, but number three, you accidentally get locked inside your favorite store overnight. Do you A explore everything? B call for help immediately, C have a full snack spree, or D make it your new home. I would probably I guess A explore everything. Um I don't want to say I would like steal, but if I was just locked in my favorite store, I'd probably No, if it was accidental and it wasn't supposed to happen, then I probably wouldn't. Um number four, a group project isn't going well because one person isn't person isn't contributing. Do you A talk to them directly? B do your part and leave it. C complain to others in the group, or D cover their work so it gets done. D all the way cover their work so it gets done. I hate it when people like don't do their part in the job, even though I guess sometimes I've done that before, but I would probably just cover it up and do it for them. And then number five, when plans change last minute, you a address easily, B need a minute but go with it, C, feel stressed, but adapt anyway, or D don't like it and prefer structure. So I'm probably C, I feel really, really stressed, but I don't always adapt anyway. I usually freak out. Because I like I have a to-do list for almost every day in my bedroom. So yeah, that's not really good. Um, you accidentally get picked to answer a question you weren't ready for. Do you A try your best and answer anyway? B laugh it off and attempt it. C, stay quiet and hope they move on, or D panic internally but say something. Um if we're talking about in class, I would probably panic internally but say something. Or maybe stay quiet. But if I'm like at church or with my friends, I'll just try my best to answer anyway. Um, okay, so that was our six questions. Now we can do our highs and lows. My high is that, and again, I guess it isn't hasn't really happened yet, but I have a banquet tomorrow. It's like a super fancy um like dress-up banquet, and we have we actually had to do a dress check, so it's gonna be really fun. It's like fancy, I don't know. Um, it's for my school, and I have a dark blue dress because it's under the C theme, and I'm gonna have blue nails with bows, and I'm really excited to do my hair cute. I think my mom was gonna find some cute hairstyles to do, and to do pretty makeup, and can you tell I'm really excited? And my low was that we had to do a book rapport in two days this week. Um, so no more on that. But we can get to our lesson now. So, um, this is exactly what I had for my lesson. So, how many of you have ever wished that you had something that someone else had? And I'm not talking about toys or things that other people have like that. I'm talking about their hair, skin color, nails, face, voice. Anything that someone else has that you yourself want to have. Um, we all wish we were different than we are right now. Like, um, um, there's a lot of people who wish they had a different hair color, um, who wishes they were tanner or paler. Anything that you don't have. Me personally, I wish I had really, really tan, beachy skin, and that I had beautiful long blonde hair and long nails and so on. But have you ever wondered why you don't have what you want, or why God gave you blonde hair when you wanted to have red hair, or when he decided you would have a nose this shape and you wanted a different shape? It's because way before you were born, before your parents even knew each other, before your mom was born, before your dad was born, before your grandparents were born, he decided what you would look like. So for example, my sister, he said he wanted her to have brownish blonde hair and greenish blue eyes. He said you were going to weigh this much and your hair would be this long, you would be this tall. And I don't know why, but almost every single girl I know wishes they had something different about themselves, including me. And all boys wish they have is bare muscles. But God created us with exactly what we have because he has a purpose for you. He said, Joy, I want you to have dark brown hair for a reason. So stop whining about wanting blonde hair. And I'm not complaining, but he has a special plan for everything he has given you. And he has a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very special plan for you. But we can never truly be satisfied with the way God has made us unless we understand that God made zero mistakes when he was deciding how we would look. So he gave you everything that you have for a very special reason. And uh in the Bible, in Psalm in Psalm 149 14, it says, I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well. And so next time when you feel like you're too skinny or too big, or that you're not pretty enough, or that God made a mistake when he made you, I need to remind you that God doesn't make mistakes. So you are the perfect size and the perfect height, and you have the perfect hair length and perfect face, and God loves you. Okay, well, that's all for this week.
