SPEAKER_03And uh I think it was Papus. And I heard, you know, the question was being brought up. Is this the worst era of hip hop? Do you think that, ladies and gentlemen? Do you think this is the worst era of hip hop? If not, which was the worst era? I don't know what that was. Um so what was I saying? Going back to what I was saying, um is this the worst hip-hop era ever? I was listening to a conversation I want to say with Papoose and somebody else, and um the question was, you know, brought up, and I said, let me go ask my chat and see what they think. Do you think this is the worst era of hip hop? Yes, I want to know. Leave it in the comment box. And if you have an uh another era, you know, please let me know which is the worst era of hip hop. Yeah, leave it in the comment box. Papa Vet says, as far as content and skills, yes. How about hit music? Like, you know what I mean? I haven't heard a hit music in a hit song in a long time. I mean you wouldn't say the words just a different generation? Hmm. Yeah. It's definitely not the same. You're right, Nessa. It's kind of a weird generation, too, to be honest with you. Yeah, like, you know, the fashion, the lyrics, which is now people are saying is mumble rapping. Um, we do have dope MCs out there, but not too many. Yes, I do agree. There's there's a lot of people that's that's happen to be a dope MC. And maybe maybe even could put out a hit record, but it's just it has not been clicking yet. So um, yeah, man. I don't know. DJ Ease just walked in the building. Ease was asking everybody, man, is this the worst era of hip hop that we are in right now? Yeah. Is this the worst era? Um, so when you was probably not listening to me because something else was playing, um tomorrow, April 22nd, is uh the real American, Hulk Hogan Real American documentary to come out on Netflix. I go check it out. Whether you like them or whether you love them, um, I know I'm gonna go check it out. On Netflix is Hulk Hogan Real American documentary. Of course, I'm a wrestling fan. I gotta go watch it. I grew up on Hulk Hogan and and you know, say uh prayers and eat your vitamins. You know what I mean? DJ Wolverine in the building was popping. Richard Felix. It's complicated to say, cuz why? The music you like, sometimes you go to a strip club or a club and you see that ass bouncing. That's what makes you like the song. That's what made you like the song today. But when you get in your car and you start listening to your lyrics, this is your face. Pablo, what's up? Yeah, yeah, yeah. When the liquor is in your system, the beat, the music sounds great to you. But once you jump in that car and you heard the song, you be like, what? Who's my top five MCs of the 80s, just the 80s? Oh man. You know, we're you know, we are definitely gonna have to put um Rakham in there. I uh, you know, you you you can't not put Rakham in your top five from the 80s. You can't. You can't. Like Rakham has to be in there. Um I'm gonna go ahead and and and and definitely put my boy LL Koo J in there. You know what I mean? LL came with the swag, the the the the chain, the kango hat. You know what I mean? Made us light skins look great. Yeah. Uh Rakem, LL Kuo J Keris won. Uh, you know, Chris was was a monster, you know what I mean? And I think I've proven that when I brought him here recently for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. So, you know, he's definitely on there. Um Big Daddy Kane. Big Daddy Kane. Big Daddy Kane definitely was was was uh you know, man, he was just smooth with it. And the songs he put out, you gotta understand something about Kane. Kane production low-key was was was definitely something else compared to what you was listening to with Rakem and you know Cool J and Karas One. Like, you know what I mean? Crazy. Uh my fifth one is very tricky, man. Guru, rest in peace, my man Guru Keith. He was he was a dope MC back in the days, man. Shout out to Guru uh Gangstar. Um my fifth one, I was about to say that, Nitty. I think possibly Cool G Rap, man. Cool G Rap was for me, like, you know, out of all the fours that I named, like he was a street one for me. Like, you know what I mean? I I I I figured out after a while what he was saying in his rhymes, you know what I mean? Because I was still a young buck. So, you know, yeah, man. I I think those other five right there, Cool G Rap, um, the 80s, top five of the 80s. Uh, Cool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Rock Ham, Keras 1, LL Cool J. Yep, yep, definitely. What you thought I was gonna say, salt and pepper? You thought I was gonna say, nah, I'm bugging, man. Salt and pepper is a family, man. And and and damn it, man. You know, I wish they didn't go through what they went through with that single push it, man. Because I'm gonna say this right now. Guys, register your music, get your papers work correct, get the lawyers behind you, make sure, you know, you got your publishing right, man, and all that. All right, that's some gems we're gonna drop to the all the new artists, the generation artists that we have today. Because some of them just upload their music and have no clue about publishing and DSPs and and and you know I mean, uh, points and all of that, man. You know what I mean? And give your producer points, give your producer props, shout them out, whatever, man. Don't forget the producer.
