What up, ladies and gentlemen? Top of the week. Happy Monday. Monday. Monday. Oh man. Gotta love Monday, right? Top of the week. This is where we get back in the office and start putting everything together that we need to accomplish this week. You know, I mean, some of us open checks, get checks on Mondays. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody, somebody out there making deposits. That's a beautiful thing, right? Lydia, happy Monday. Right, right? Tony Heathcliff, happy Monday. Bushman Vision, happy Monday. Miami Finance, happy Monday. We back on the grind. Yeah, yeah. DBASC, happy Monday. I mean, to all my Haitians. Happy Monday. Happy Haitian flag day. All my Zoes. Saga fat. Sagay. Kijon Yeah. Boy. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's talk. Let's talk. Yeah, man. Haitian flag day. Big shout out to all my Haitians out there. Everybody that's uh, you know. If you know a Zoe, man, put the Haitian flag emojis up, man. Put the Haitian flag emojis up. Robsteries was popping. Oh man, Rob had a joint this weekend on New Music Radio. Oh man, that boy was popping off. That boy was popping off. Big shout to Boogie Blind. Hmm. Listen, Boogie, when you get to Miami, when you touch down, I'm gonna go take you to go get some Haitian food. Boogie, you know it's Haitian Flag Day today, right? Yeah, it's all about them Haitians today. So when you get to Miami, I'm definitely gonna take you to go get some Haitian food so we could talk DJ and life and all that stuff. In case y'all don't know, Boogie Blind is one of the baddest DJs in the world. Um, good friend of mine. Um, also DJs for legendary Lord Finesse. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. Great guy, great guy. And uh, Boogie, we're going to Baltimore soon. Get ready. August, Baltimore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Me, you, Lord Finesse, we're about to go shut it down. We're about to go shut it down. Shout to DJ Impact, the whole team. Uh, Ramula was popping. So, ladies and gentlemen, young mafia just walked in the building. Yeah, man. Listen, man, a lot of things happen over the weekend. It it's gonna be it's gonna be, yo, I don't even know where to start. I'm gonna be honest with you. Um, okay, I know where to start. First of all, nerf DJs, they came in Miami, they had a great event. All the DJs all around the United States came to Miami, had a great event. Now, I want to say uh to DJ Johnny O, to all the Midwest people that came in town, man. I want to say thank you. Can you see it? I want to say thank you. Thank you for this, man. This right here, this right here. Thank you. Yeah, this is a legend award. This is called the Legend Plaque Award. Right? Um, you know, a lot of a lot of people don't get this a lot, you know. I mean, but I happen to receive one. I happen to receive one, and and I just want to say to the Nerf DJs, to Johnny O, the whole team, thank you for this, man. I really, really, really, really appreciate this. This goes out to all the haters, too. You know what I mean? Yeah, the doubters. You know what I mean? Um, you know, if you're out there receiving an award for all your accomplishment, take a take a good minute to reflect back on everything you did. Just take just I had to let it soak in for a second. Thank you, Tony. Young Mafia, thank you. I had to take a second to think about it, you know what I mean? And and I thought about it, you know, whether it was mixtapes, clubs, traveling around the world, radios, you know, I mean, we did it all, man. Legendary artists, uh, rock the bells, everything, man. And and and and I'm grateful. I'm grateful. You know what I mean? I'm very grateful. So, Nerf DJs, thank you for that, man. I really appreciate that. That that that that made my weekend. I'm gonna be honest with you. Um you know, this was some things I would want to say, but I'm not gonna say it, man. Because I don't want to project on no negativity, but you know, it is what it is. Now fuck that. I'm gonna tell you right now. I don't know why it takes some out of town folks to present me an award like that. Miami, the peoples, the powers of bee, the the somewhat they call gatekeepers. Um, I don't know, man. Miami haven't presented me with nothing. It's okay, don't get me wrong. I don't look for no type of recognition from anybody, especially for my city, because I know what I've done. And I need you to take this gym, right? If you know what you've done, you know what you've done in your lifetime, you know what you've done for some people, the community, the city, that's all that matters. Now, if anybody does recognize it, now if anybody does recognize it, that that that that that's uh that's a flex right there. And and and you know, those that do recognize it, you know, you you're a great individual, you're a great person, you're a great community, um, and so on. And those that don't recognize it, DBAC, you're right. F them. F them. Like you don't need them. You don't need them. You don't need them. You know what I used to say? I actually still say it. You don't need them because one day your doorbell gonna be ringing. They'll ring. That doorbell will ring and you be looking at what you doing here? Weren't you the one that diss me? Weren't you the one that didn't support me? Weren't you the one that didn't share my live or you know what I mean? Repost my stuff. Trust me, that doorbell always rings. Always just remember that. So, nerf DJs, um Johnny Ohm, the whole team, the whole community, thank you for that, man. Appreciate it, man. This is absolutely phenomenal. Thank you. Real ninjas do real things, yeah, man. The legends award. Oh, they don't like it when I say the legend. There's some people that be like, you Epps, you ain't no legend. Ha ha! That's what you think. That's what you think. All right, you don't want me to be a legend, and what does that say? You're a hater. You're a hater, you're a hater, and that's alright. We need more haters, that energy for us to, you know what I mean, grow. That we need we need some, listen, what they say, if you don't have 10 more haters by Saturday, you ain't doing your job. My man Julian Booth, he said it on the on a uh podcast the other day, man. If you don't have no haters, you ain't doing nothing right. You ain't not doing it right. So you gotta have some haters. Yeah, yeah. Don't block them, don't block them. Go ahead. Let them watch and let them talk because you're gonna need them. How to submit uh to New Music Radio. DJebs.com is the website. Too easy. DJ Ebbs.com is the website if you want to submit your music. All right, we'll be back tonight at 10 o'clock playing some new joints. Pikleys was popping. Capital M was popping. Kashmir, I see you. Nazir, I see you. Yeah, so we're gonna be live tonight, 10 o'clock Eastern Time, new music radio, blazing some new joints. You want to submit? DJpps.com is the website. DJpps.com is the website. Submit your music so we can put you on for this week. It's too easy. All right, you need the DJ Epps merch, the shirts you've been watching, different colors. DJ Epps.com is the website. You want to book me? You need me for your festival, your party, your brunch, whatever, man. You want me to throw it down? You want me to shake the club? DJpps.com is the website. All right. Log on, holler back at your boy. Uh, big shot to my man Paul. He turned 50 at his birthday um party at his mansion. Beautiful house, beautiful family. Um, had a great time, great vibe. Um, met an important guy that I'm gonna be dealing with um very soon. And he goes by the name of Pastor Eric. So, Pastor, uh big shout to you, and I'm glad I met you. Um, I made a decision in my life. We'll get to that later on, and I'll keep you posted. You'll see what's up. All right. Um, and yeah, man, that's what's up, Paul. Happy birthday, Nelson. My boy, you know what it is. Um big shout to Confidential Why Not, man. These guys, man, they threw an event this past Friday. This was absolutely dope. You know what I mean? Um, Confidential Why Not um brought to you by Steve Will and Mr. Why Not, my man DJ Classic, DJ Tony Heathcliff, that was out there um DJing the event. Now, what I liked about the event, of course, you know what I mean, the ambiance was absolutely great. But the fact that, you know, them boys, when they were spinning, they were just spinning, you know, either B-side records or you know, maybe stuff that you haven't heard of, or maybe stuff you haven't heard of in a long time. And that was that for me, that was phenomenal. That was great. So, you know, um it if I remember, man, um I when I went to the party, I didn't even hear no hip-hop. I heard a lot of other genres, but I didn't hear no hip-hop. So I I it was kind of refreshing, it's kind of dope. So, kudos to DJ Classic, uh Tony Heathcliff that shut it down with Mr. Why Not and Steve Will. Yeah, man, you already know. You already know. Ah man, so everybody's talking about the Drake album. Everybody's talking about the Drake album. Let me tell you something, man. First of all, none of y'all should be talking. You know why? This is why. The man dropped three albums by the first day. All of y'all was just critiquing, giving your opinion, and I promise you, I bet you, you didn't even go through all three albums. What are you critiquing? I'm a DJ, and this weekend I still haven't gone through all three albums. Like, stop it. Like, Drake is an artist, Drake is still a human being. He did nothing to you, nothing to them, nothing to the like if he had a little rap battle with Kendrick Lamar, so what? If he lost it, your thought, your opinion, so what? You know what makes it more effective about that man is the bounce back. Oh my god. Oh my god. Yo, which which song is my favorite? Um shut the fuck up. Janice, Janice, listen, you know why? For a couple of reasons. Our boy Illa wrote that song. Big shout to Illa. Illa wrote that song. And and when I found out Illa wrote that song, I felt proud because not only that, you know, he did such a great job at it, but I know him. I know him. Our crew, we know him, and we congratulate him, we salute him, we support him. And he didn't even know it was gonna be on there. He didn't even know. Like Drake did a good job of just hiding all the production, all the writers, and this and this and that till it was time to put out everything. He did a very great job. And then when it came out, Ella's life changed the next morning. Now, let me tell you something, man. Some of y'all have no clue why this man dropped three albums on y'all. Y'all lost in the sauce. Y'all have no clue. Uncle Phil was popping. China Red was good. Y'all have no clue. King, you already know. Y'all have no clue why this man Drake dropped three albums. Let me tell you something, man. You know Drake was um felt disrespected. He felt disrespected. Why he felt disrespected? Because of um, you know what he was going through with the record label and you know I mean, streaming, numbers, um hiding agendas. Yo, the man went through a lot. But the man had three albums left to do to get out his contract. Oh, now you did the math. Now you understand. Man, that was genius. That was absolute genius. You looking at your label like yo, y'all fucked me over like that. I watch this. Man dropped three albums to get out his contract, and got already what, like mad billions already waiting for him to to to to to to to be part of his next new project. Come on, man. Umg woke up like, where's Drake? Drake gone. Drake did his three albums that he owed you, and he gone. He is it's a rap. Done. Umg, huh? Come on, man. And he already has two billion dollar offer on the table for his next project. Listen, I think Drake is the most successful and probably the richest. Yeah, past Jay-Z, past Taylor Swift, past a lot of other people. Smart. Smart. You may not like all the songs on there. Me too. I may not, but there are some joints on there. That man also had to, he had to, but he did. He clapped back on all his haters, all of them, from LeBron to Khaled to Ross to Ace. Like, he went in. Listen, Drake, Aubrey, congratulations, my boy. Congratulations. Yo, congratulations. Dropped three albums just to quickly get out. You know, you know what that tells you? That man has joints for days. For days. He probably even put out some throwaway records that he didn't even care about. The Drake hate seems forced. Let me tell you something, man. I'm telling you. All you guys troll. Oh man, the meaning of trolling was at its all high this weekend when Drake dropped the album. Y'all trolling. Y'all trolling. I'm telling you, y'all did not peep the business move this man made that made him money. That got him out of his situation. That that spoke high of all his ops. All in one shot. Whew. Let me stop, man. Cause uh, you know, yo, listen, listen, go listen to that Janese record. Shut the fuck up. Go listen to that. Go listen to that. And there's a couple of other joints on there. Dope. All right. Dope. Yeah. Stan Smith was popping. Orville Roberts was good, family. The real dig him in the building. Yeah, man. So Drake, congratulations. Man, that roundy the round up rousey fight. That round up rousey fight. I don't know what to make of it. What's your thought on that fight? So quick, what like 40 seconds? Yeah, man. Like, yo, what happened? Anyways. Um. Is Rhonda back? Like, what do we think about this Rhonda Rousey situation? A lot of people's talking here, like, it seems stagged, huh, Uncle Phil? It did seem stag. Uh uh, yo, listen, man. That that other NBA? That's another one that seemed a little weird this past weekend with the pistons and and and the cat. Listen, man. NBA. What's going on? What is going on? What's going on in the sports world? Period. What is going on with the sports world? Period. Jesus Christ. It's it's weird out there. It's absolutely weird out there. Yeah, man. Anyways, um, big shout to A Ball MJG. Yeah. Today's a special day, man. Um, in 1999, yeah, 1999. Uh, on Universal Record, 27 years ago, this album was given four mics rating in the Source magazine. Yes, A Ball MJG. Yeah, that album, crazy. Uh uh, self-titled album. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. In our lifetime. The album in our lifetime, A Ball MJG, Tennessee. Congratulations. Shout to the Push DJs. Yes, in 1999, today they dropped in our Lifetime album on Suave House Universal Records. Yeah, man. Album was rated for Mike's on the Source magazine, Mr. DJ, uh T Mix. You know, there were some of the producers on there. They did a great job, man. So big shout out to my dogs, A Ball, MJG, um, Memphis. Congratulations. All right, word up, man. Um, also, today, um, 27 years ago in 1999, Rawkiss ripped Raucus. Remember Rawkids? Ruckus was a great label, had a bunch of labels, uh, uh, a bunch of artists, excuse me, like Most Deaf, um, high tech, and others. Now, understand this, you know what I mean? Um, Raucus had presented a sound bombing too featuring various artists from the label. Like, you know what I mean? It had Diamond D, it had DJ Spinner, um, it had uh uh DJ Mighty Me. Listen, the beat junkies, the beat miners, they were all on there, and that album is phenomenal. Rawkiss presents sound bombing too. I'm gonna need y'all to go check that out. All right, yeah, man. Um 20 Two years ago, 2004, today, Met the Man dropped the Tacal, the prequel, not sequel, the prequel. Met the Man. Yeah, man. Joint was crazy. Um, had producers like uh your boy Puffy Combs, yeah, DJ Scratch, my boy, Rick Rock, and a whole lot more. Rizza definitely did some stuff on there. Metheman, Tacal, the prequel. Um, you know, I I was I was a big fan of the first Method Man album, Tacal. Yeah, the first wasn't a classic album, but it was definitely one of those albums that I enjoyed um listening to, growing up to, and um, you know, waiting for that Method Man uh uh debut. So big shout to Tacal. Big shout to Method Man, you know what I mean? Um, yeah, man, yeah, man. The favorites don't always win. Hey, hey, you know what? I understand that comment. Um I understand that that that saying right there. You know what I mean? We us favorites always get overlooked, right? Yeah, Wu Tang concert is gonna be lit at the end of the year. Yeah, King. You're absolutely right. Get ready. Get ready. Yeah, man. So yeah, man. Uh that's that's what was going on. Now, also, man, um big shout to the big man, Shaq, NBA legend. Yeah, Shaq walked the stage during uh LSU's graduation ceremony, ceremony, excuse me, after receiving his first degree in uh liberal arts. Now, big shout to Shaq. Shaq is such an inspiration to all of us, including me. Like, I would like to just sit down with Shaq. I mean, he I sat down with him before, but I would like to this time sit down with Shaq and discuss business with him, get some pointers, may even present him um some projects that hopefully he would like to invest. Hell, I would like to even DJ with him. Like he's on his DJ stuff, and he's shutting down parties, clubs, festivals, and all that. Yeah, so Shaq, if you hear me, let's link up. We got some work to do. All right, we got some work to do. Chico was popping, man. DJ Tay in the building infinite in the building was popping. QDust was popping.
