What a weekend, what a weekend, what a weekend. Man. How you guys doing? Shout to everybody on my Instagram, my kick, my Facebook live, my YouTube live. Appreciate y'all. You already know. DJ Doc was popping. Trigger was good. Miss Porsche was good. Listen, man. It's Memorial Day. Memorial Day. Alright, man. You know, it's May 25th, ladies and gentlemen. Monday. Um, I'm your host, DJ Epps. Let these motherfuckers vlogs. You know what I mean? Let these motherfuckers know vlogs. You know, where we talk a little bit and you know, I mean, parley for a second, wind down, maybe get some things off our chests. You know what I mean? Um, but it's Memorial Day, man. Boy, I'm in Miami, and and I was um reminiscing on the times of Memorial Weekend here in Miami, Florida. Man, we used to be turned up over here. Compared to what it is now, we used to be turned up. When I tell you Memorial Day weekend parties, everybody on South Beach, a lot of alcohol weed, ah man, a lot of people coming out of town to Miami. It's been, oh man, times that you you would remember. And if you were part of that era, you came down here and you partied that time, you know you had a great time here in Miami, Florida. Nah, against all odd, it's not the same. You go to South Beach, first of all, there ain't no more clubs no more. I mean, ain't no more clubs. And and maybe a couple of years back, there was while there was no clubs and people was coming down here trying to figure it out. Everybody was on Ocean Drive, there was on the beach, they was on the grass, they was trying to figure out where to go. What club is popping, and man, you know, I mean, the cops did a great job of cleaning that South Beach up. They did. Yeah, yeah. Because, you know, I mean, there was a lot of um fights, there was a lot of you've seen them shootings that happened on South Beach before. DB Aussie was popping, Rob Ski was good. You know what I mean? And the cops, the the South Beach police did a great job of cleaning that up. Oh man, wet Willies, forget about it. Wet Willies was probably the headquarters of South Beach. I tell you, man, um but we had a club called Cameo, we had a club called Level Mansion, Amnesia. These things were these these parties were absolutely dope. But uh Memorial Day weekend here in Miami, nothing is happening. Nothing, not even across the bridge, nothing's happening. Miami, um, I don't want to say done got soft, but you know, it's it's it's not it no more. It's not it no more. It's not it no more. Yeah, wet Willie's was a spot to post up and get girls. Yeah, you would find your mate. Girls was was hungry too. And you know what was cool? Girls' mentality, they wasn't they wasn't on no robbing niggas, they wasn't smart enough to try to rob a nigga at that time. They just wanted to get laid, straight up and down. They wanted to get laid. And those were the good times. Yeah, they just wanted to get laid. Females, they wasn't about robbing people. Now, they smart. They smart, they figured it out, they know how to rob niggas. They put that powder on you, you fall asleep. It's a wrap. They take you back to your apartment, your safe is open, watch is gone. Yeah, yeah, and this is not just Miami, it happens in California, Las Vegas, and so on. Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale is a place now. Gee, you're absolutely right. I want to say I was walking, I went by actually, I was throwing a party at Chemistry in Fort Lauderdale, Lasolas, and I noticed that downtown area was lit. Them kids was out there. Fresco, what up? Them kids were out there and they were lit. Yeah, voodoo chemistry, um, um, backyard, uh, Capone, like that area was just lit. But it was, it was, it was, it looked like back in the day, South Beach. You know what I mean? I felt, you know, out of place. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. It's crazy. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Hollywood, I don't even go to Hollywood, but I see the buildings that's being that's being developed over there. Um, and I see Hollywood, Hollywood growing a little bit. That may be the new spot soon, like turn up spot soon. You know what I mean? It's cool to go there, but I don't think it's a turnup spot. Not yet. Not yet. It'll get there. Gene, let's get it popping. Boris was good. Uh, shout to Boris, shout to uh um Grumpy OGs. They was with me this past Saturday, um, Memorial Weekend at Tomorrowland. We had a great time, man. You know, you know what I like about Tomorrowland? It's just it's it's it's very intimate, it's very low-key. Um, you know, different types of individuals walk up in there and just vibe, drink. You could tell people on a date and they just hanging out, they're trying to be secretive. Yeah, but uh, you know, yeah, we had a great time at Tomorrowland. Um, you know, I did a little set there, you know, just a little throwback set. Shout out De Nero, shout out Tito Love. We all had a great time, man. So yeah, Grumpy OGs, Boris, Heckler, Eddie Giggs, you know, I mean, we had a great time. Um, and the next party is June 20th. We're having another one for Father's Day. So if you're a father, you want to just hang out, you want to bring wifey, you want to bring the family, and just have a Father's Day Saturday night throwback party with us. Um, that's Saturday, June 20th. Now, this is all going to be a cream situation, rampage, the last boy scout flip mode squad will be in the building. Eileen, what up, baby? She was in the building too, man. Oh, had a great time. We were just vibing, smoking hookah, and listening to some throwback joints. It was a great situation. Tito Love shut it down. De Nero, shut it down. Of course, your boy DJ shut it down. Um, so June 20th, Rampage will be in the building. It's gonna be phenomenal. If you missed the other one with K Solo, you don't want to miss this throwback. Father's Day party. Yeah, come hang out with all the fathers. Fathers, come hang out, come vibe out, come have sip, have a sip. You already know, man. Yeah, that's Saturday, June 20th at Tomorrowland. Swag International magazine in the building. Uh, Lady Dice in the building. Now, rest in peace, Rob Bass. Man, man, man. I think this um was the big headline news this past weekend. Um, you know, man, if you don't know who Ra Bass is, shame on you. Ra Bass, you know, helped design the meaning of a party, a song party, when he dropped the the legendary song It Takes To. This song, like, man, when I I know when I was little, when I was small, when I went to the Wiz in New York City and I bought the profile record, yeah. He was on profile records, it was black and red, and went down to the whiz and I bought the 12-inch pause, um, raw bass, it takes two with easy rock. This record helped me understand what a party record is. This was one of those records. Yeah, you know, we had Sugar Hill Gang, yeah, we had Push It by Salt and Pepper, but this record made me understand what a party record should be. That's Rob Bass, DJ Easy Rock, it tastes too. Um, so yeah, man, rest in peace, Rob Bass. And and Rob Bass was supposed to be on the Rock the Belt Cruise this year, man. Yeah, man. I was looking forward to hanging out with him, partying with him, along with his DJ, DJ Capone. It's my dog, um, you know, and unfortunately, Rob Bass has passed away. Um, you know, um, he he he he was 59 years old. Matter of fact, last Monday was his birthday, he just turned 59. Um, but you know, he was fighting a secret battle with cancer. A lot of people didn't know, but um, yeah, man. Yeah, man. And that's exactly what happened, man. You gotta take care of yourself, man. You gotta take care of yourself. Shout to Raw Bass. Um, and with that being said, man, you know, it you know, with him fighting cancer and and you know, being secret secretive with that situation, it reminded me of my boy Prince Marky D from The Fat Boys. Marky, you know, he he he you know he had his own secrets too, man. And he Marky never don't like to see the doctor. He doesn't. He doesn't like to see the doctor, and that would bother me as a friend. I'm like, yo, Marky, man, go check out that leg. Because he had he had he had uh his his ankle, his right bottom leg would inflate it. You know what I mean? It'll it'll it'll swell up. And I'm like, yo, Marky, go check that out, man. Marky was hard-headed, he didn't want to go see the doctor, man. Did not want to go see the doctor. And then come to find out, man, that swelling got so bad that it just crept up through his body all the way to his heart. And stopped the heart. So I say this to I say that to say this, ladies and gentlemen, like don't be afraid to go get checked out, man. Don't be afraid to go get checked out. Make sure you know what's going on in and outside your body, especially if you had an age that you need to go do it. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. DJ, no good in the building was popping. Yeah, man. Disco devil in the building. Yeah, so rest in peace, raw bass. It's a shame. It's a shame. Um, big shout to Maya. Maya came out with an album, uh, retrospect. Awesome. If you love RB, if you even love the artist they call Maya, retrospect is the album. Go check it out, go stream it. Absolutely great. All right, heard a couple of tracks, and I'm looking forward to hearing a couple more. But go check out Maya's new album, Retrospect. Yeah, man. So vibe, definitely a vibe. Yeah, brand songs. How you doing? You oh you absolutely gotta let your loved ones know you love them. Absolutely, absolutely, because you know, the ones that you really, really love. I believe sometimes you're not in touch with them, and they're not in touch with you. So they possibly don't know what's going on. You know what I mean? So you gotta stay in touch with them. Stay in touch with them. Levy knows what's popping. Rally rally in the building. Um, big shout to Isaiah Thomas. Isaiah Thomas, not the basketball player. Um, Isaiah Thomas, he's a streamer, right? And he took a journey on walking from state to state, when I say state to state, Philadelphia to California to raise money to build a school celebrated by four state milestones. Yes, after he was almost sidelined by a car. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was walking state to state, Philly to California, and a car almost hit him. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. And and and and and you know, he was hit before. Yeah, and hospital, uh, hospitalized in April. So I'm not too sure what made him want to do that, go that route again. But, you know, to raise money to build a school and and and and and you know, walk. Yeah, not take a bus, not take a taxi, not take a train. Walk. Walk, state to state, Philly to California. Who does that? Isaiah Thomas. Look it up. Look it up. That thing was crazy. That drive was crazy. I'm like, wow, who does that? Um big shout to Stevie J. The producer Stevie J. You know why I say big shout to Stevie J. After all that happened with Diddy, after all that, you know, situation that unfolded with Diddy, that pressure he was under. Stevie J never switched. Never switched. You don't know. After I lived a couple of situations where I witnessed people, friends that I thought that were my friends, switch. That right there means a lot. That means a lot. Craig G was popping, homie. Legendary Craig G in the building. Love that guy. I mean, Stevie J never switched on Diddy, and I can respect that. As much as y'all talk bad about Stevie J or Diddy. Stevie J is a real one. Never switched on Diddy. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And and and and you know, for those that never switched on your friend, like DB Aussie, I will never switch on DB Aussie. And I don't gotta flinch. I know DB Aussie will never switch on me. You gotta appreciate those that would never switch. Never. And when Diddy comes back home, him and Stevie J. I have a feeling is gonna get back to work. Craig G, you know what? I'm gonna play all of those joints on Rock the Bells this Saturday, 9 p.m. Don't play with me, Craig. Don't play with me. Said Miley, what up? Don't play with me. You know I'm gonna rock all them joints on Rock the Bells this Saturday, 9 p.m. Sirius XM Channel 43. Oh, you don't know about my Rock the Bell show? You don't know I rep LLQ J? Yeah, man. If you don't have Sirius XM, go subscribe. Go subscribe. And Craig G, they don't know about MC Shide D gotta be tough. But up. DJ Popo knows. Oh my god. Yo, you a wild one. You a wild one. Yeah, man. Uh, so yeah, man. Stevie J, you know, I commend you for never switching up on Diddy. Never fold it. Um, which leads me to my next thing that I wanna address. And I want to address you, yes men's. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? When I say yes mens, big headbands, what's poppin'? Yeah, yes men's. I want to address all you yes men's out there. Stop being a yes man, keep it 100. All right, just cause you roll with somebody that's probably um uh bigger than you, your superior, your boss, whatever. If that person is wrong, if that person is doing something bad, if that person came out the studio with a whack ass track, stop saying yes to everything, like, yeah, that was dope. Nah, nigga, that shit was whack. Shit was horrible. Why the fuck you did that? Why you did that? Why you being like that? Be a 100, be a uh be that guy to tell the truth. Stop being a yes man. Nah, I know a couple of yes men out there, yeah. There's some out there. I look at him like, yo, you know, you you're an absolute punk. Real talk. You ain't shit. You know your man did wrong, you know your dog did dirty, you know, you you know that song is whack, but you out here, yeah, yeah. That's dope. That's dope. Stop being a yes man. Stop being a yes man. See me when they come with that whack ass, I don't want to say whack. When this when they submit a song that's not it for me on my show, I'm not gonna be like, hmm. And I'm not gonna, you know, shade you online and be like, yo, that's just absolutely whack. This is what I'm gonna do. When you see this right here, that's telling you I'm not feeling it, and I'm keeping it 100, alright? Just keeping it 100. So if you know a yes man out there, straighten that motherfucker out, man. Tell him stop being a yes man, stop being a herb. If a niggas doing wrong, if that shit sounds whack in the studio, if the the the food is disgusting, stop acting like it's good, it's all good, it's right. Stop being a yes man. Tell a nigga the truth. So, all you yes men's, get right. Trigger, you know what I'm talking about, right? Nazi Casablanca. Him and your boy live. Them boys came to Miami and shut it down. Man. These guys came from Long Island all the way to Miami. Had a great time in Memorial Weekend. They came to like two of my parties. They had a great time. At least I think they had a great time. They were just vibing. They was watching the DJs. They was looking at the tropical girls we had down here. You know what I mean? You know, got their music played. They was rolling with Max B for his birthday. Nati, I hope you guys had a great time. Your boy live, I hope you had a great time. And guys, man, go look them up, man. They from Long Island. They got some dope ass joints. Yeah. Nati Casablanca, your boy live. Check them out. Afternoon, Wendy. Brandswell says the mask. Yeah. Some of those yes man's, they got masks. Absolutely. Absolutely. All right. One of the biggest elephants in the room is Ray J. Boy. I believe Ray J has some yes men's by his side. Like, yeah, go fight. Go f no. No, Ray J. Why would you do that? Why would you put your body in line? Why would you put your legacy in line? Why would you put your name out there like that and go do something horrible as go celebrity fight at a at our streamers? Like, why, Ray J? Why? Yeah, some people may not like you, may not like your music, but still, Ray J, you have a legacy. Why would you do that? You had yes men's next to you telling you that you could do it, you should do it. Big prime example of yes men's. And you said, word, the other day, a couple of weeks ago, I don't know, about a month ago, you were saying you're dying. And you're gonna go to a celebrity streamer's fight? What are you doing, Ray? What are you doing? What are you doing, Ray J? Come on, man. Get right, get them yes man around you, get them away from you. Bad influence. Now you got a big old nagadaga in your hair. You days confused, you don't know what happened. Now, after the fight, whatever statement you had made sounded a little crazy, but it had me thinking. It had me thinking. Was that fight set up for you to win and everybody gets a bag? And did Homeboy uh uh uh drop the ball? What's homeboy's name? Super hot fire? Did he drop the ball? Did he mess up the bag? Because I had a discussion with my son. I'm like, yo, I think Ray J might be telling the truth. Cause why would Ray J go into a celebrity fight knowing that he could possibly lose that fight? So I want to look into the story a little bit more. Because if I was Ray J, I would have been like, yeah, I want this much money, and guess what? I gotta win the fight. He gotta fall for me. Cause this is how it's gonna happen. Everybody in their mama is gonna bet against me. Right? They're gonna bet, and I believe it. I kind of truly do believe it a little bit. I truly believe that everybody in the world was gonna bet against Ray J and say that he's gonna lose the fight. And guess what? He wins the fight, everybody lose the bet. All the bag comes to Ray J and Buddy, super hot fire. And they would have had a payday. I but I really I I truly believe that was the original plan. But maybe homeboy didn't have um, he didn't want to fall. He had too much pride. Maybe he didn't want to, no, he won, he changed his mind. Maybe, you know, that that blow was just possibly accident. Uh it was an accident and Ray J fell. I don't know, but I want to look into that story more, and I want to know if that's if that fight was supposed to be rigged for Ray J to win. And did the homeboy um drop the ball? The whole entire thing was cringy. You're absolutely right. But if I was Ray J, I would have been like, look, this is how much I want, and I gotta win the fight. And when I win the fight, it's because we all know everybody is gonna go up against me and bet against me and think that I'm gonna lose and we make all the money. I'm gonna be honest with you. That that if that was a plan, that would have been a genius plan. That would have been it. That would have been the stream, that would have been the plan, and everybody would have got paid. It would have been a payday. So him saying that, damn man, you messed up the bag. Yo, uh, had me thinking. I was like, yo, you know what? You you you know what? That could possibly be right. Now, I also think, what if Ray J did not even know that this, you know, the other opponent, uh super hot fire, he probably struck a deal with other people talking about yo, you know, you knock Ray J out in the second round, you get triple the bag. Ray J may not even know about that, that, that, that deal. You know what I mean? So, you know, I'm not I'm not I'm not too into these streamers and how they're doing things, and you know, they out there laughing at Ray J. Chris Brown out there laughing at Ray J. The ring announcer cracking jokes and doing yo, that's just embarrassing, man. Why would you put yourself in that position, my man? Now you're the laughing stock of the fucking world. I come on, Ray J, man. You're you're Brandy's brother, man. Behave and get right, man, my brother, please, man. You're a good guy. I know you. You a good guy, you a good guy, man. Like, anyways, listen, man. Let me go continue my memorial day. I'll be back here tonight at 10 o'clock, breaking some new music. If you want to submit, djpps.com is the website. TY, you agree with me? There was a it had to be a double plan. Had to be a double plan somewhere, and I believe Ray J didn't even know about the second plan. Something went left. Dubs, what up? Yeah, like I said, I'll be back here tonight. Submit your music, djpps.com. 10 o'clock. We're gonna be breaking new music right here on new music radio. You need uh DJ Epps merch, DJEpps.com. You're gonna come in a little late? No problem. As long as you come in. Well, not like that, but as long as you know what I'm talking about now. Alright, it's time for me to get up out of here. I love you guys. I'll see you later. Alright, man. DJ Epps, let these motherfuckers know vlog right here for you and yours. Peace.
