What up, everybody? It's your boy DJ Epps. We're here on a beautiful Tuesday, June 2nd. Yeah, man. School's out. Summertime. You know what it is, man. How y'all doing out there? I'm glad everybody's doing good, man. You know, uh, not even sure what to really talk about after yesterday's vlog, man. I told you yesterday's vlog was all about hove. I had to snap a little bit. I apologize if I ain't, but I had to let these motherfuckers know. Um, this is the vlog we do daily. Um, I won't be on, I will be on tomorrow, but um, not doing the vlog. I'll be doing uh new music radio at 12 noon special time tomorrow because I'm getting ready to hit the road, go to Europe, go to Germany, go shut down dozen off old but go open air after party. It's gonna be crazy. So, yeah, if you wanna, you know, I mean, watch my stream, watch what I'm doing. You are more than welcome to kick in, pop in, chime in, all that. I'm gonna talk to you about Germany in a second. Um, Impatient Pink in the billing was popping. Uh 914 struck in the building was good. The Grindlord in the building, Karen Cassara. Karen, how you doing, beautiful? I appreciate that, man. I appreciate that. Toriella in the building. Um when when when when you talk to me, you you you text me, you you you DM me? Or you was on my live because you know, when when my live man, the feed that be coming in. Sometimes I be missing messages. And if that was the case, Toriella, I apologize. I apologize. You know I ain't gonna ignore you. You know I ain't gonna ignore you. You're one of my biggest fans. I love you, boo-boo. All right, Mary Jane daughters in the building. Um, Nessa in the building was popping. DJ Quest in the building was popping. Quest, you're a DJ. I'm gonna ask this question, man. Because I seen what was going on up in New York City with Funk Flex and Hot 97. There was a question that was, um, I don't know if it was a question or it was um it was it was a comment that was made. And it was in the lines of, you know, DJs that, you know, get put on the radio station or get, you know, hired to be on the radio is because they bring revenue to the radio station. If you ain't, you know, bringing revenue to the radio station, why book you, right? Listen, I agree. I totally agree, man. Like the radio station will pick up all these DJs in the city if you are actually making noise out there, if you are actually rocking the clubs in that neighborhood, that city, and and and you know, we want that DJ to bring those crowds ear to the radio station. And once that happens, you know, people buy commercials, people buy, you know, I mean, they, you know, they they they they they listening, they tuning in and they spending money. And when they do concerts, they sell seats. You know what I mean? So yes, I do, I do think that when these stations go after the DJs, they go after a DJ that sell tickets, that bring revenue to the radio station. Me, myself, I I I I this was brought to me and was said to me, Epps, they wanted you on Rock the Bells because you are the one in the South that's killing it. You know what I mean? Plus, there's a Serious XM coming to Miami, so who else best to fit that position to represent Rock the Bells in the South, in Miami, Florida. Um, not only that, you know, your show is number one on the weekends on Saturday night. So a lot of people that don't have Sirius XM, when they hear that your show is number one, they're curious. They're curious to know what's going on. What do they do? They go subscribe. There you go. That's bringing revenue to Sirius XM. That's bringing revenue to rock the bells. You talk and you perform awesome at the festival and especially at the Rock the Bell Cruise. Now everybody wants to go to the cruise. What do they do? They go on rockthebellcruise.com and they buy a cabin and they get on the cruise. I'm a DJ that's bringing revenue to rock the bells. Sirius XM. So that's how that goes. Now, if you're not really doing that, and then once upon once upon a time, you probably was doing it, but you if you're not doing it, you're gonna find yourself not want it no more. It's just business, it's just business, all right? That's what it is, man. Um, yeah, yeah. So work, grind, hustle, put yourself out there, have the world talk about you, so you could also get a job at a radio station in your neighborhood or Sirius XM, whatever the case is, you know what I mean? So they know your worth. Gotta show these people your worth. You gotta show these people your worth. If you see me on your timeline all the time, it's because I'm putting in that work. I'm putting in all that work for you to know that I am number one, I'm the best at what I do in my community, my world, my social media, and so on. And that's why I get bookings here in South Florida, or out of state, or I'm going to Germany this weekend, I'm going to Seattle next week. Um, we're going, yo, listen, man. You gotta put in that work. That's it. Trying every day. Hey, I like that, Mary Jane daughter. Trying every day. Every day you wake up, just gotta try, gotta do some things. Some things may work out, some things may not. You see it. Oh, this doesn't work. All right, oh, this works. Okay, bet. You know what I mean? That's what it is. Talk on how you made it happen, your struggles, your goals. Well, you know, let me tell you something, man. How I made it is because I have a dream. I was on my Martin Luther King, and I had a dream. And the dream was to be the known DJ that everybody loves. A dream that I could go shut down all types of clubs in every city, every country, and so on. I had a dream about being this legendary DJ that everybody respects, loves, and so on. Now, how did I make it happen? I grind, I'm gonna go back to it. I grind, I hustle. Back in the days, sometimes I had to go do a party for free, real talk, just to get my face out there. Sometimes I had to go do parties for free. Yeah, way back in the days when I first started, yeah. That till this day, I utilize that to let everybody know that every time you step in a building, the next work is really watching you, and somebody's gonna call you to be part of the next project, the next party, the next situation, and so on. So you gotta step out and shake hands and kiss babies. Yeah, I mean, that's how I made it. Work absolutely hard and a lot. A lot. Now, my struggles, um, the struggles I had was, you know, and I talked about it the other day, man. You know, I you know, they there they are get gatekeepers, they are gatekeepers, but my struggle with that was I knocked the doors down and I walked in the building like I own it. Like, yo, you need me. And and I took it. You know what I mean? Struggles of, hey, I did a party, it didn't go as I wanted to be. That's a struggle. You live and you learn, you see what's up. You know what I mean? You know, struggles of of traveling with an entourage, and really that entourage was just there to just, you know what I mean? But they wasn't really there for DJ Epps. You know, little struggles like that happen. Little struggles like that happen, man. But my goals, my goals will always be my priority, and it's always to be seen. The more you seen, the more you are recognized, the more you work, the more of everything will come to you. You know what I mean? It is no different from you know a real estate agent, uh, the person that works at the Nike store. You know, you know what I mean? Just work. You never know what's gonna happen. You never know what's gonna happen. My daughter, I congratulated her the other day. You see her dancing with her hip-hop kids, and they have different divisions, right? So she was she started off in the mini crew, and of course, eventually she's gonna advance because she's not mini no more, right? But I had to let her know look, they saw your hard work, they saw your dedication, they saw how you improve in your dances and your how you kill it out there. Now they want to advance you. Your goals is just to keep on advancing and growing and growing and growing and growing. You know what I mean? Um, and sometimes you may not even see a goal, and the goal just might just present itself to you. Let me give you an example. And I I don't I don't really want to put my business out there, but you know, yes, I just turned 50. Do I want to DJ clubs all the time? No, I don't. But yes, I do. But eventually, I'm not gonna want to go outside no more because outside is not what it is, man. I'm gonna be honest with you. Unless I'm throwing my own party and it's a throwback party, like I do with the Why Not family and and and and at Tomorrowland and Creek and so on, fine. Like I do at Rock the Bell's party, fine. But for me to go to a club and DJ for bottle poppers versus people that love to dance, it's really irritating. Now you got a young Miami doing what she did to Sean Mack. You got, you know, these these these you got coworkers like waitresses and bartenders not really hustling and grinding like they're supposed to. You know what I mean? Uh strip club DJs, I'm pretty sure y'all are going through it. Them strippers are supposed to tip you by the end of the night, but what? They sneak in through the back door, they out of here. Those things irritate me. Like, I don't want to go through that. These promoters and clubs, I think my man Rich Homie Kwan um was saying it the other day. Like, you know, these clubs and these promoters, they want us DJs to bring in the bodies to the club. They want us to promote. Like, no, man, that's not our job. That's the promoter's job. Like, are you crazy? Why are you putting all the pressure on the DJ when we have to be the ones to keep them in there as long as much as possible? Keep them drinking, selling them drinks. That's what we do. That's a lot of trouble, that's a lot of hustle. So, what my goal was how can I DJ in here every day and not worry about getting in the car, wasting gas, and going to mess around with some people that don't um that's not grateful. You know what I mean? Yo, for me to stay here and turn on the live at 10 o'clock and play brand new music, like not one Drake, not one Jay-Z, not one Rihanna is playing on my playlist, all brand new music from Omaha, Syracuse, uh, Long Island, LA, San Diego. That's there's music coming from places I can't even pronounce. There's music and artists I can't even pronounce. They're coming from everywhere. So that goal presented itself to me, and I'm like, hey, this works. So guess what? I'm turning on my live every day at 10 o'clock. Sometimes I'll turn it twice a day at 12 o'clock. That's because them submissions are coming in. That's because, you know what I mean? I'm out here helping the artists. Who's helping artists? What DJ's helping artists out there? I see the scams out there. I've seen a couple of um websites and and Instagram influencers saying they're gonna break your music or they're gonna review your music and they scamming you. I've seen other business companies saying, I'll, you know, get you D, I'll get you DJ F to play. Like, yo, chill with all that, man. Some of y'all sites influencers, y'all need to chill with all that. Do you, but keep my name out your mouth. Let your artist come find me. You don't gotta, you don't gotta promote me, no nothing. Because now you're scamming and now the artist is looking at probably both of us wrong. I don't want none of that. Let your artist come find me. Artist, do you hear that? When you come to me, my website, my DM, that's the real official thing. You know what I mean? Don't you know I mean, that's how it works over here. And yes, Tori, we be having fun, right? Like I'm telling you, we crack jokes, I dance, you know. I be saying we don't judge, there's a no judge zone, but reality, we we we're gonna critique, we're gonna tell you, hey man, the chorus is not for me. That beat is banging though. Uh damn, that's a hit record, and so on. You know, we have fun over here. And and anybody and everybody that's been part of my life, been part of my show, been that knows me, knows I'm authentic, I'm official, I'm the real deal. You know what I mean? I'm a bag of chips and everything. You know what I mean? And everybody in the comment box, real time, real people telling you what's up. You know what I mean? So yeah, man, you know, those are the the that's how I made it. That's the struggles I went through, and you know, you we got goals out here. And the goals too is to like, you know, you to make sure that these artists understand that they got a DJ with them. You know, I mean, you could call me your official DJ and you don't even know it. I'm out here breaking your records. I see how y'all be posting me up. I see how y'all making this red room viral. Every time I turn on my grammar and I see somebody posting, I see the red room, I it's like I get a little proud. I be like, that's what's up. You know what I mean? That's what's up. So somebody asked me, Your abs, man, you you on every day. Why are you doing this? Why? Cause it's fun. It's fun. I don't gotta go to the club. I'm doing the work right here. And I'm listening to all new music, and and all these artists, like you can't get to funk flex. Nothing against my nigga, nothing against flex, the legend. But you can't get to hot 97, you can't get to power 105, you can't get to Envy. Some of y'all can't get to these figures to get your music play. So, what do we do? We create music radio on social media. Oh man, that 10 toes was crazy last night. Yeah, played a joint called 10 toes. That was absolutely nuts last night. That was a vibe. That was a vibe, white. Yep, J Bird was popping. Yeah, that was definitely a vibe. J Davis, that why that white jizzle? That white jizzle last night was also a movie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nancy, how you doing? And and and and and ladies and gentlemen, you know, they ask and yo, apps, I see you posting everybody's joint. Yo, they want to be a priority. You gotta be a priority. I see some people tag me, and if you don't see me repost this, because that'll be unfair to people that, you know what I mean? You want to be a priority? You want me to post? Hit up the website, djapps.com, and we'll have some fun, man. We'll have some fun. And and and and I'm gonna be on tonight at 10 o'clock. If you want to check out the vibe, you want to check out what's going on, I'll be on at 10 o'clock tonight with some more music and so on. Ernest, I do know how much that means because I'm a DJ, and guess what? I do music too. You know that song that plays in the beginning of my show, The Real Ninjas, with Ty Niddy and OGLs on the roads to the riches and diamond rings, real niggas do real things. That's my song. Do you think any DJs are gonna really play my joint? There are some DJs, man. I'm I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, you know what I mean? There are some DJs, and those are the real ninjas right there. They will play me and they will support me, and I appreciate that. But you know what it is to get the whole world of DJs to play my song? No, they're looking at me like I'm competition. They're like, why do I need to play his shit? I don't want him to escalate. I need to get out there. Uh that's how they think. That's how they think. But they don't know the DJs that link up together and do things together is what's building the DJ community. Conan YMBS, shout to YMBS DJs. Those guys, I support them, they support me. You know what I mean? That that's what I'm talking about. Like, you know what I mean? So I do know how much it means, and and that's why I I enjoy turning on my live and playing new music. Yeah, you know what I mean. Yeah, you already know. G, let's get on it, man. Word up. Let's get on it. Yeah, um, Nessa, thank you um for reminding me to tell him to stream my song, my new song, Real Ninjas out right now, um, featuring Ty Nitty OGLs, Real Ninjas. Stream it, please. I appreciate that. Um, if you want to see the video, you want to see the the the you know I mean you want to see the video, go watch the video. Everybody is in it. Drink champs, DJ Fn, Havoc from Mob Deep, uh LES, Big Noid, like the whole infamous mob was in the building, like you know what I mean? Like Grime Mode is in there, like Real Ninjas was in my video, so go ahead and check that out. It's on YouTube. Real ninjas, DJF featuring Ty Nitty and OGL's. T Gilly was popping. Irv, I see you in the building, man. Wendy, how you doing? Topaz King in the building. P I M P power in motivating people. I like that. I like that. So I'm a P I M P. Am I a P I M P? Where my baby? Powder out. Let me smack these motherfuckers. Oh man. And you know, throughout my whole life, I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm not, I don't really get diss like that. I don't really get um clown like that. I don't really get um disrespected like that. But I noticed lately, now that I'm more visible, now that I'm more out there, now that I get my my ads out there, yeah. I know y'all see my ads. I know you know what I mean. I notice some people in the comment box, they they take jabs at me, and I be getting hurt. I'll be like, damn, dog. One guy said I look like a fat kid cuddy. What? Another nigga called me Epstein. Oh my god, man. And then and and then and then you had a couple of people that just and and they're just too obvious that they're haters. They're like, oh, don't, don't, don't buy no sl don't buy nothing from him. He he's a scammer. And guess what? The next day, or then the same night, that same person is in my comment box. He I could see when you join. You know when you can see the nigga join uh your live, you you know, I see I'm like, oh, so you you think I'm flawed, you think I'm all this, but you here checking out the party, you actually at the party. It's like a movie, man. You know, haters, haters talk crap, they talk crap, and then they pull up to your party. Oh man. Oh man, it it's pretty funny, man. It it's pretty, it's pretty cool too, man. Cuz like I said on my post the other day, man, build your own community and you just weed out all the haters, the fakes, and so on. I tell, I'm telling you, like when I drop those morning gems, it's cuz I've been through it, I'm going through it, I whatever, man. Shout to Detroit. Detroit was heavy on my on my live last night. We played a couple of joints from from Detroit. Um, yeah, man. Yeah, man. It's crazy. Uh, ladies and gentlemen, today is June 2nd, and um man, about 28 years ago, 1998, Onyx dropped the album Shut Hem Down. Now, this album right here, man. You know Fredro, you know Sticky, you know how the whole Onyx family um brought to you by Jam S to J. You know what I mean? When they dropped that shut 'em down on Def Jam recording group record, like that was a phenomenal, absolutely great change for hip-hop. Because that's when you that's when you felt the the the gritty, the grimy of hip-hop. Yeah, Fredro, sticky, and boys gave you the worst, gave you shifty, gave you throw your guns in the air, and so on, man. So, you know, big shout to Onyx. They celebrating the shut 'em down anniversary on Def Gem Um Records 1998, 28 years ago. Shut them down, Onyx Sticky. Fredro, congratulations. That was an absolute great project. Also, man, um, you know, in 1992, K Solo dropped. My boy K Solo dropped Times Up on Atlantic Record. Now, K Solo, you know, had I Can't Hold It Back, you know what I mean? Have, you know, producers like Eric Sherman and Pete Rock and so on. Now, K Solo is also known as to be related to, you know, uh Red Men and so on. But K Solo was an absolute great artist. That's why I brought him down to come celebrate his birthday here in Miami last month. You know what I mean? Because I wanted everybody to feel and see K Solo. Because, you know, sometimes we have unicorns like him and cool G Rappers. You don't really get to see those types of figures. So when Kay Solo came to Miami and celebrated his birthday, it was an absolute great situation, and everybody was happy to see him. He took pictures with everybody, and it was absolutely great. Yeah, man. So K Solo, congratulations on uh uh the Times Up album 34 years ago, 1992. Absolutely great album. All right. Um, with that being said, we're bringing Rampage down next to Tomorrowland Saturday, June 20th. Uh, this is the DJ F's Father Day party with DJ De Niro. Um, shout to the Cream family, shout to Tito Love, gonna be there. Uh, DJ Ben Hobb from Excitement Radio. Um, also my man DJ Kane from Denver, Colorado, is coming. Now, this is all happening Saturday, June 20th, the night before Father's Day. All right, so this is a Father's Day party, Rampage, the last Boy Scout, flip mode, is coming to hang out with us. A lot of people don't get to see Rampage, so I'm bringing my dog down and we're gonna have some fun, man. Trust me, you wanna be in the building if you're in that Miami area, all right? Yeah, man. Swa Swain, Swain, yo, that Onyx CD, oh man, if you wanted to go get ready for a fight, that's one of them albums you put on, right? Right? If you really wanted to just make sure, yeah. Onyx album, another album is MOP. Oh man, those type of albums will make you get ready for, you know what I mean, a rumble, a fight. Back in the day, you might have been dumb and went and go jump somebody. I don't know. Oh man, but yeah. Gotta love hip hop, right? Gotta love hip hop, ladies and gentlemen. Oh man, it's a road rage music album, absolutely. Absolutely. Uh, ladies and gentlemen, time for me to get up out of here. Um, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. One more thing. One more thing. Because tomorrow I'm not gonna be doing no vlogs. I want to just get this out this out of the way. So I saw a YouTuber, and you know, he's partying, he's vibing in a club. I don't know what club or city he was in, but he was just vibing. But Lil Baby pulled up, right? And the club is trying to move the YouTuber to another section so little baby could come party at that $2,000 section that the YouTuber bought. Let me tell you something, man. Um, I'm not I'm not too sure what was the YouTuber's name, but I seen him before, he's a very popular one. Um his thing I want to say about this. The YouTuber's not wrong for not moving. All right, the YouTuber is not wrong for not moving, and it's no disrespect to little baby, but if I'm going to get a table at a club, I don't care if it's Kanye West, Jay-Z, how you gonna move me? Move me. Like, I am a person, I am I am somebody, I am a customer. Like, what kind of and I guess this question goes out to the club and the securities. Like, what kind of business you're running where you have to move somebody because a celebrity came in? Like, you you need to get your shit right, club. You need to get your shit right, promoters, and so on. Cause that's not cool. Once you sit somebody there, especially if they pay $2,000 for the section, like, how are you gonna get up and move them? Come on, club, come on, promoters. Tighten up, tighten up. And the and and and the YouTuber is right. He's like, Man, I ain't moving, man. Like, you know, he paid a lot of money for that section. And of course, in his mind, in the back of his mind, he's probably like, yo, I don't care if it's a little baby. Like, I'm not moving. You know what? Here's a thing, club and promoters, what y'all don't understand. Y'all thinking money, y'all thinking celebrities here. Look, we got look, yeah, yeah. But you're not thinking how embarrassing you're making an individual move. You don't care about that individual's feeling, that customer's feeling, that person that spent $2,000 in your venue to go party with a bunch of beautiful girls, and then he's gonna post it up and go viral and so on and make your club and your party hot. Come on, man. Club, tighten up, man. That YouTuber, he ain't do nothing wrong. And I'm glad he didn't move. I hope he didn't move. But club promoters, stop doing that. All right, just because your celebrity came in, you're trying to move another table to another section. Like, don't do that. Figure it out, but don't move your customers. That's that's that's disrespectful, unappropriate, that all of that in a bag of chips. Like, don't do that. That's whack. All right, just wanted to say that. All right, guys. Uh, I'll meet you tonight, 10 o'clock, new music radio. Bet you want to submit djpps.com is the website. Click, submit your music. It's too easy. We'll make it happen. We'll have fun tonight. Tonight at 10 o'clock Eastern time. All right. All right, guys. You guys have a good day, and I'll catch you later. Peace. I'm good with the fabby, baby.
