Hello, hello, hello. I'm Claire. And I'm Mark. And welcome to Can You Send That To Me? Ain't It Being Ot.
SPEAKER_01I was just about to say, is it me or is it hot in here? I'm alright right now because it's cool down. Um even this room, it's normally quite cool because it faces north, but it's not today.
SPEAKER_00This week, what was it? I think it got to 37, didn't it?
SPEAKER_01My car was saying 40. Yeah. But I don't always believe what my car says.
SPEAKER_00No. And at Heathrow, it's I think it's on the holiday.
SPEAKER_01No, but a little sneaky trip away somewhere.
SPEAKER_00I did go to Italy. That's you did, didn't you? Um but listen, how do you cope in the heat? What like now? Um Well any time.
SPEAKER_01What, when you're massaging or just in general? Massaging's a whole new ball game, isn't it, when it's when it's hot. Um I actually like a cup of tea when it's really hot. I find it yeah, really, even though it's a hot cup of tea. I don't know why I'm laughing. No I've been knocking back for each other. Is um more refreshing for me. And I've just been literally covering myself in cold flannel on my head, cold flannel everywhere, rubber back of my neck.
SPEAKER_00Do you know what I slept with the other night? I don't know if I'm no comments. Your husband No, I slept with an ice pack.
SPEAKER_01They've don't they say about putting your um bedding or putting your pillows in the fridge? In the dirty. Have you seen my eye mask that I've got, my crystal eye mask? I meant to be in my gouache in because that's another thing in the fridge. Oh, yeah, we put it with the bed in. We put gouache, yeah.
SPEAKER_00No wonder you can't put any food in there.
SPEAKER_01No, that's really cool, then isn't it, as well?
SPEAKER_00No, that is cooling, actually.
SPEAKER_01Crystal my eye mask.
SPEAKER_00Um, but when I did a massage on Wednesday on the hottest day, yeah, I came out that massage looking like I just walked out the sea like dangerous.
SPEAKER_01Your hair ruined with all hair all over the place.
SPEAKER_00Um my hair was my hair was screwed, but I was so wet. I've never been so wet in my life. Like literally, I was dripping.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. I went to a concert on Thursday, and that was we were sat in full sun at one point. What did you go and see? Three of them.
SPEAKER_00Only three now. Yeah. Where's the other two? Where's Robbie Willie? Oh no, I know Robbie Willie. He's got his own stuff, doesn't he? Who was the other one though? Jason Orange. What he's not going to do.
SPEAKER_01I've got some orange over there. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, so also what we find good in the heat is um a nice wet cold tower around my neck when I was massaging this week, and that really helped me actually.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, definitely. And then I just find just damping down myself.
SPEAKER_00You told me you did something this week with oils or something.
SPEAKER_01I came across it by accident, but I made up a um mixture of peppermint and eucalyptus, which I happen to have some here, and the peppermint I just put it into a little roller ball with some coconut oil in here, it's not much left actually. But I just rubbed it on my wrists. You can see that. Would you like to try a bit? Would you like to have a smell first?
SPEAKER_00Let me smell before I convince.
SPEAKER_01Oh, don't like that.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's disgusting.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean, doesn't it?
SPEAKER_00Let me just do it.
SPEAKER_01But the peppermint's really cooling. I think it's so you don't cool it, you just put it on. I just put it on, just the peppermint in itself. I think because you the peppermint you associate with being quite a cool mental um aroma. So it yeah. Oh, I might put this on before bed. The eucalyptus is quite strong in there. I'll make you some up. Take home with you. I always like to give you little presents, don't I? Yeah, we'll show you.
SPEAKER_00They gave me nice burgers tonight. Burger and chips.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, so anyway, we're gonna play a game tonight, not with um prizes. Yeah, what is my prize?
SPEAKER_01Um you get to take a mixture of your favourite oils home, the one that you you like the most. Not do I really?
SPEAKER_00So, Claire is gonna present to me essential oils, and I need to guess which one is which.
SPEAKER_01You can't read the labels on there, can you? Because you haven't got your very focals on you've got your verifocals now. Yeah, let me just say, you know how to call them now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, very focals. Look at that. If you can see this. They're wonderful. Aren't they nice? I'm gonna get some now. Someone did call me Alan Carlo. Really? Why would they say that? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So anyway, these one called me Amanda. Amanda what?
SPEAKER_02Oh, hold on.
SPEAKER_00Um, these essential oils are typically ones that are good for cooling in the hot weather, aren't they?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I've got one, two, three, four, seven, which is quite I should have actually brought some coffee in. So, in between um smelling each aroma, you can clear your your palate with coffee, just not a cup of coffee. I know you've got a cup of tea there. Just dry coffee granules. Well, and it's clear and it clears us, yeah, it clears the nose. Oh what before you test the next one? Before you take the next one, yeah, otherwise you've still got sort of remnants, but yeah, I'm not gonna pop out now to do that, so you just have to take my word for it.
SPEAKER_00So she's gonna present me with each smell, and I've got to guess which one is which. So we have. Oh, this is exciting.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you can probably tell by the bottom. I can't see the here, which I've got a little stick which I've put in, and then Mark's going to Maybe I should close my eyes. No, you'll be all right, you can't see what they are, can't you? Well, you can close your eyes, maybe you get more of a sense of the eyes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm gonna close my eyes. So, am I gonna hold it? Don't do anything dodgy to me with my eyes closed.
SPEAKER_01Ah Right, okay, you're allowed to inhale now. Right. No, keep your head, sorry, keep your head up and just sit there and I'm gonna gradually move it up. What do you think of that? I can't smell nothing. Smell it now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it smells like orange juice. What one is it?
SPEAKER_01It's orange, sweet orange. Oh wow, well done. Number one right. I think orange is quite an easy an easier way to smell it than actually.
SPEAKER_00Right, I'm gonna close my eyes. Okay, I won't heat you this time. Right. But sweet orange, then that was nice actually. And that's good for cooling too, is it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and this one I want you to tell me what you think it reminds you of. I know what it reminds me of.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01You might be too young to know what these are, what I'm thinking of.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I can I like that, whatever it is. Um what's it remind you of? Let me put it up my nose again. It reminds me of Palmer Violet's. Yeah, the sweets. Not a share, but lemons. Oh, yeah, that's what I mean. I knew it was a sweet from the big image shop. Um, so that means it's sweet lemon. It's lemongrass.
SPEAKER_01Oh half right, half right, half right. So what am I?
SPEAKER_00What score am I on?
SPEAKER_01You're one and a half. So what I think I'm gonna give something rich just to reinforce how different the lemongrass was to this one. Okay. Hang on. Do you think everyone's bored by now? They can't, they haven't got smelly vision. I just make sure I get its smells.
SPEAKER_00I've got I've got a scent of something, but hang on, let me think. Can I have a clue?
SPEAKER_01It's a related in aroma to the one you just had.
SPEAKER_00It's related to lemongrass.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and make it a bit stronger for you, I think.
SPEAKER_00Lime!
SPEAKER_01Close.
SPEAKER_00Oh, is it not lime?
SPEAKER_01No, close. It's not that strong actually, I thought it'd be small. No, I can't smell it. Are you sure it ain't lime? Don't sneeze in it, will you? Lemon. Lemon?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Is lemongrass not the same thing? No, it's quite limey though, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00I thought it was lime.
SPEAKER_01Let me go. This is lime, so you can't guess this one. Oh, but you've ruined it. I know, but I just want to so that's lime.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's definitely lime, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01That's definitely now. If you went back to the other one, make a smell of difference, probably.
SPEAKER_00A slide. Lemon. Now I can smell lemon actually. That lime's nice. That's nice, isn't it? So all of these are good for cooling you. So, how do what do I do with it? Just put it on my wrist or something.
SPEAKER_01No, no, not just knee. You mix it. I'm gonna carry or like um Yeah or something, but just need to make sure you get the quantities right. You can't just so if I'm gonna brought a pre-made one, that's better. Yeah, people aren't a rope. I don't charge that much for it. Do you want some more? Yeah, I want to try another one.
SPEAKER_00Right, I need to see what we've got. Because how many? What's my score?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I think we're gonna go for three. I think this one will be quite a nice one. Right, hang on.
SPEAKER_00Peppermint. Yeah, I've got that.
SPEAKER_01But does that feel cooling to smell?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, my nose feels like cold.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm not sure. I think it's also about even though it's not actually cooling, maybe it's just the association. Close to the camera, aren't I? Yeah, I think it's just the association with what your brain thinks that it's making you feel cool.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's true. Oh, that was nice. Have you got one more for me to guess?
SPEAKER_01I've got two. I don't this one. I'm not a fan of this one. Eucalyptus.
SPEAKER_00No, but oh what? What is it then?
SPEAKER_01Bergamot.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I never would have guessed that.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't know. I don't really know what bergamot is either.
SPEAKER_00That smells like a tree. Can't you smell it? Yeah, I can smell it, but it smells like a tree. What tree though? Lavender. I love lavender. Give me that again. Oh, see now.
SPEAKER_01It might be because you've got all the other smells up your nose.
SPEAKER_00No, once I put it right up in right up, I could smell it. Oh, I love lavender. I could bathe in lavender.
SPEAKER_01So you could mix a couple together now, see which ones you like, couldn't you? Put that one next to the lavender.
SPEAKER_00Well I used you like the lime, didn't you? So your yeah, I think for my calling, I would like lime and lemongrass. Can you go well together?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, let's see what they make sure. Lime and lemongrass, yeah, not peppermint. I don't know why I picked up peppermint because I was just thinking.
SPEAKER_00Oh, see, that's lovely. That's a smell. Sold then. I'm sold, right?
SPEAKER_01So I'll have slurp of tea for doing so well, Mark.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. Lime and lemongrass is my new cream scent.
SPEAKER_01I like the slurp of tea too.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna have a bit of green tea. I've got green tea with mint here. So it's lovely. But also, um oh my god, you know what else I did?
SPEAKER_01Go on.
SPEAKER_00I put a fan on and I put a bowl of ice cold water in front of it.
SPEAKER_01And also, if you put ice cold water in front of the window, that also you put it out the window. No, it's the hot air comes in, it sucks it, it turns it all into a colder vapor.
SPEAKER_00But no, definitely front of the fan. That did work. It felt like I had air con blow for me. I mean it didn't last for long though, unfortunately. Because it's been so hot, like the ice just melted within about an hour.
SPEAKER_01It's um I think it's coming back again next week as well, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's gonna be really hot again. So to keep yourself cool, get those essential oils.
SPEAKER_01Cold, cold, something cold on the phone.
SPEAKER_00Something cold. Ice pack instead of and someone said hot water bowl.
SPEAKER_01Well, with cold water in it, yeah. Yeah, and also run your wrists under cold water because it's a really good one. Yeah, yeah, that's really good. That really especially if you've got menopausal symptoms as well. That that yeah, females, it just exacerbular exacerbates it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, of course it does. Like hot flushes and things. Yeah, because I've had some clients this week. I have hot flushes as well. I've got the manopause. Yeah, that's what people say, the manopause.
SPEAKER_01I should tell you, alright?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's beautiful. Good. Um nice cut, by the way. That is a nice cut, it's iris. Yeah, iris flowers. Beautiful.
SPEAKER_01So So what else have you been up to?
SPEAKER_00I went to um Italy. You went to Italy. I had lots of pasta, yeah, pizza. You try to find it.
SPEAKER_01I've been doing yoga, haven't you? I've been doing yoga every day still.
SPEAKER_00Swimming. Swimming, gym. Yeah, so yeah, no, I've been alright, but Italy is beautiful, and it was the same temperature here as Italy, but it just feels different on holiday, doesn't it?
SPEAKER_01My neighbour was saying where they come from until it gets as hot as it is here, but at night time it cools down. I think because here there's so much, there's so many buildings around that the air just can't escape anywhere, can it? It just sits there.
SPEAKER_00We're in the worst area here, yeah. Like in this London, like busy Heathrow airport type area.
SPEAKER_01It's just plains, fault, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, I blame the planes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but no, it does get hotter typically here, doesn't it? But Scotland, you see the temperature in Scotland? I'm only about 21 or two.
SPEAKER_01I was like, I'm it was hot the other day, I think, when we went to Scotland the last heat wave a couple of years ago, we had like 38 degrees. Did you? We did. Yeah, sure. Yeah, I'm sure you're in. I'm getting my phone out and prove it. Believe me. And emptied all my videos, I think. No, no, no.
SPEAKER_00Alright, I do believe you.
SPEAKER_01Alright, okay, good.
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah, so but essential oils aren't just good for cooling, are they? Good for lots of things. Sleep. Sleep. Which one's good for sleep? Lavender.
SPEAKER_01Lavender's good for sleep.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I like that's the one I spray around the bedroom.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um you can have too much of it though as well. If you put if you have um if you put them in a diffuser, you're only meant to run the diffuser for two to three hours, not have it on constantly.
SPEAKER_00What about if you've got one of those candle kind of things?
SPEAKER_01Even those, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I just use the tea light, so it only lasts for about two or three hours anyway.
SPEAKER_01And also animals, try to be careful with animals. Really? Why? Because some animals it can affect them.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and have a detrimental effect.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you don't know what it's it's okay for us if we don't we're doing, but you don't know if it's okay for an animal. Oh, I never knew that, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because you can't do a consultation with an animal because they don't know what's good. Some people like animals, but oh I never knew that. Now, have is there one off the top of your head? I know you don't know everything because no one knows it. No, but is there one that's good for um like my carpal tunnel, for instance? What would you do?
SPEAKER_01I would go with the pain one, the ginger and juniper. So I ginger, juniper, sweet marshmallows. We had some ginger before, yeah. I think that was kind of risk, wasn't it? Yeah, oh my god, it did help. Yeah, no, I was yeah, ginger juniper, but using those in this weather, you get as I described the other day, you get extra hot. Oh, ginger. Yeah, because it when you use them, you can feel the warmth coming out of them for the body.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it just well, ginger is hot actually, as well, isn't it? Yeah, but well, because I love a lemon and ginger tea, but it does have a little kick sometimes to it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so maybe not use those in this weather. No, um but lavender, lavender adapts to everything as well. Yeah, lavender's one of my favourites. Posh word adapter genic.
SPEAKER_00Adaptogenic.
SPEAKER_01That's the word that's the thank you teacher. Yeah, what does that mean?
SPEAKER_00It adapts to everything.
SPEAKER_01Jesus testing me. Yes, sir, whatever you say. You're doing a new course, aren't you? Now, how's that going?
SPEAKER_00Which course are you talking about? I'm talking about 20. Oh, so the lymph. No, no, I just mean like it just it's just like I don't know what I'm doing sometimes. I've got so much going on.
SPEAKER_01You've here done a podcast. Your lymph course, your lymphatic drainage.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, lymphatic drainage, that's going lovely. Um I did level three.
SPEAKER_01A lymphatic. I did draw a lymphatic course and I did a few months ago.
SPEAKER_00That was a few months ago now, can you believe it? Was that April? April, and now it's the end of June. Yeah. Yeah, because this will go out on the 1st of July.
SPEAKER_01He weren't here last month, were we? Because you were too busy on holiday. I didn't do Sally Kay's reflex didn't quite complete it due to other things. But no, but you did the well that was that was amazing. The next morning, I don't know how you found it, but the next morning after we did the practical ourselves, well, I slept really, really well. I got up with such so much more energy. We were chicken your teeth. I don't know why I just smiled at the camera. Yeah, I've got a bit of something. Have I? No. It's the amount of times I went to the loo as well the next day.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's good that lymph drainage and reflex.
SPEAKER_01I prefer that to the body.
SPEAKER_00Oh what the manual lymphatic drainage. Do you why is that?
SPEAKER_01Um, because I haven't really done much of it.
SPEAKER_00I love both equally, but just different reasons. You've done the two together. Yeah. I quite often merge my manual lymphatic drainage now, and I I finish on the feet doing the RLD.
SPEAKER_01I always finish on the feet anyway when I'm doing the massage a little bit. So yeah, I could always incorporate a bit into the um no, I loved it. Really loved it. Yeah. And I could, you know, when when you're doing the bit on the um oh the sort of clavian vein. Yeah. I don't know about you when I was. I found what you were talking about. You did. It was um mine was so tender. Was yours?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the first night I did it, it was tender. Yeah. Well that was um, but no, I love lymphatic drainage stuff. I see such good benefits with the reflex and the manual one, the massage one.
SPEAKER_01The other thing I noticed with the reflexology one is that the next day when I got up and walked down the stairs, oh, you were taking the mic out of me, but I felt like a 50-year-old not a 90-year-old walking down the stairs. I just felt my joints felt so much more, I didn't feel so stiff and so.
SPEAKER_00It's because lymphatic drainage is so good for inflammation.
SPEAKER_01And other people as well that also on the call said exactly the same thing.
SPEAKER_00No, it's true, it's true. That's one of the main benefits of any lymphatic drainage is inflammation reduction.
SPEAKER_02That's very good.
SPEAKER_00No, so it's really good um for that. But I don't I thought a lot of clients would cancel this week in the heat, but they actually didn't for me. Like I'm glad because I'm it's obviously money, um, but a lot all my all of them put a fan on for me, so it was alright. I must I have quite quiet weight this week, but um yeah, I think um as long as you have a fan, because this might be. I think it's a draft as well. I think not a draft, it's happening. You need a window, yeah. In here it gets quite this might be controversial, but um I think we've got to just start adapting. Yeah, like I think this is like I think we're gonna have temperatures like this a lot now. So I think we can't just I mean yes, think about getting air conversation. Yeah, the buildings need to be better, but um I just thought this week, do you know what? I was gonna cancel clients, and I thought, no, do you know what? Because if we keep getting this every year, I can't keep cancelling clients. So I've got to get used to it, and I might lose a few pounds because some of the massages, I was dripping afterwards. Yeah, and I did a 90 minute on Monday. Cool, that would I think that would have killed me. Yeah, because my um oh no, I did do I mean with ginger oil. Jesus. A woman did cancel actually. I said none of mine cancel, but I did have one cancel.
SPEAKER_01But apart from that, I think as well, the fact that the the heat is so tiring anyway, without for him doing a massage, and then if you're you're getting so hot and you're perspiring so much, well let's say sweating, that's what it really is. And then when you're doing a massage as well, it just you're losing so many fluids, aren't you? Well my lady.
SPEAKER_00My lady on the bed, she went, Mark, I'm so hot. So she literally had her towel just on as a nappy. I had her legs uncovered, her back uncovered, because you just didn't want the towel.
SPEAKER_01I've had doing a cold stone massage, that'd be quite a bit.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean, I love cold stone massage. It's really it's so good for inflammation. Have you never done it? I've never had a hot cold massage. I've never had just cold, I normally do hot and cold together.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I haven't done hot, but I quite like to try cold, I think.
SPEAKER_00Um I was meant to teach hot stone massage last week, but luckily it got cancelled. I don't think it's the weather to be teaching hot stone massage.
SPEAKER_01No, some people still ask for it though, even when it's hot, don't they?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I've not had anyone ask for it this week. I mean, if I I think I would have reported them to health and safety if they'd asked me for a hot stone massage this week. Luckily there was um aircon in the classroom though.
SPEAKER_01So it's quite what about the tube? That must be hot going on there. Oh my god, I've got one of those neck fans. Really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know the ones that go around the neck and it blows up hot air up at your neck. That saved me on the tube.
SPEAKER_01We're lucky because you've got the Lizzie line and that's all aircon.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the district is, but the district was up the spout this week, so I had to get on the piccadilly. Yeah, and for people that don't know the Piccadilly line, there is no air con. It's like a saw in the and when it's packed as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was horrible because people were you start feeling a bit get you suddenly start feeling a bit claustrophobic and a bit hot and bothered before you know it if I'm gonna faint, I'm gonna faint, it's too hot.
SPEAKER_00I feel claustrophobic on the tube at busy times in the winter, let alone when it's really hot, you just feel more oppressed. Oppressed, that's a good way.
SPEAKER_01Because you're so down as well, ground level as well.
SPEAKER_00It's yeah, not I always thought it'd be cooler downstairs though. Downstairs. Well, you know that down there down the ground because normally heat rises, doesn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but especially all those tubes coming through and all the hot air.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and the loose fumes from the tubes.
SPEAKER_01Nowhere to go and the bodies as well.
SPEAKER_00I really thought that people wouldn't travel so much this week, but everyone just still seems to. I guess they they're thinking the same as me, like we've got a clock to also what was that um there's that big research for reflexology come out this month.
SPEAKER_01Oh, about the strokes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and about showing the when you're having reflexology, they've done imaging to show how it affects the brain, haven't they?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I saw that last week, and I actually went on one of the clients last week, just out of curiosity, she um she wears a device that measures her her pulse and things. So she measured it before we actually started the treatment, and I think her pulse was something like 96. And then after treatment, she measured it. Well, she looked at it again and it had gone down to 76. And at one point during the treatment, it'd gone down to 72. And it was telling the thing was saying that she was her body was in a state of restorative.
SPEAKER_00It just shows you so powerful, drinking.
SPEAKER_01And my blood pressure I went down as well. Not that it was high, but I took a reading afterwards and it dropped down by quite a bit. So it's relaxing for us therapists as well, but it's not hot. Oh, I get really relaxed. I was teaching I go into a little world of my own.
SPEAKER_00I was teaching massage today and just watching this woman massage. I mean.
SPEAKER_01I'm sitting there with my eyes closed and it's just so I'm watching meditating, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it is meditative.
SPEAKER_01If you've got the right music as well. I've got my Reiki Japanese. I've got some different music at the moment, and that's it's a bit strange, but it really puts you in a good place. It puts you in a trance. It does, yeah.
SPEAKER_00What about have you got some loamy loamy Hawaiian music?
SPEAKER_01I haven't got any. I've got some Bali music.
SPEAKER_00We were in Bali two years ago. Two years ago this week. Oh, I loved Bali. If you've never been to Bali, you've got to go. It's so it's just special.
SPEAKER_01It's not quite what you think it's gonna be, is it? It's not wonderful beaches and well, some of them are lovely.
SPEAKER_00That sunset beach we went to, yeah, that was beautiful.
SPEAKER_01And it's very, very busy, isn't it? It's very there's a lot of traffic on the road, but it's just oh yeah, it's like India as well. I think it's just like the outside people's houses, the little sort of temple gateways they have into it with the flowers on the floor, the offerings. Oh, it's your Buddha.
SPEAKER_00Oh got rid of it. Yeah, because after I got my Buddha.
SPEAKER_01And there's one up there actually watching you.
SPEAKER_00Where?
SPEAKER_01In the corner.
SPEAKER_00Oh, hello. Yeah, I love Buddhas, but I had to I just felt like after I got here, I had a lot of bad luck. Right. Like there was a lot of bad stuff happening with some like one of my friends and some family stuff, and so I just felt like oh my god, I don't like the energy of that Buddha that I've got here.
SPEAKER_01Maybe it was just that one. What should I do with it? Just put it in the bin.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Tip.
SPEAKER_00I don't know, I can't remember. Maybe no, because Finn normally donates things, he probably took us to the cherry shop.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, some wine came from. But I had to get rid of it because I just felt like it'd cleansed it or something with rake cake, could you not? I don't know. Didn't like it.
SPEAKER_00I just I was in such a bad place. That was two years ago. You remember when I was in that bad place? And so I just felt like Buddha had done something, so I got rid of it.
SPEAKER_01And did it change after that?
SPEAKER_00Things started to calm down a bit. So maybe it just wasn't for me. Yeah. Because someone taught me that you're meant to pick your Buddha and that was given to me as a gift.
SPEAKER_01Ah, who am I?
SPEAKER_00My friend.
SPEAKER_01Because she wanted one, didn't you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I wanted one and she gave it to me and then I Googled and researched. Yeah, I think almost like a crystal, you need to pick it. And it said you shouldn't have it as a gift. Like, so I thought maybe that's why so I got rid of it. No, but crystals. Crystals you're meant to pick.
SPEAKER_01Well they sort of pick you, they sort of call to you, don't they?
SPEAKER_00I just pick the one I see. Yeah. But I'm like a magpie. Yeah. With anything glittery or colourful.
SPEAKER_01Like mine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, every time I see your crystals, I'm not again. Every time I see your crystals. I've moved them as well now.
SPEAKER_01No, you ain't. I saw them today. Oh, from a different place though, because I had a bit of a clearing. Oh yeah, you've got to be able to get them. Yeah, they've moved them off the where they were today. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, it's good to reorganise.
SPEAKER_01You should cleanse your crystals. Cleanse your crystals. How'd you cleanse yours? I either put them out in the it's a full moon, isn't it? Tonight or something. Or wash them under cold water, not with soap.
SPEAKER_00You don't do salt, I use salt water.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't use salt water.
SPEAKER_00Oh didn't you? I do salt water and then after the salt water for about half hour I put them on the water.
SPEAKER_01Can you imagine how it takes me to put my crystals outside? You'd spend it. I'd better go and start now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, all night. I'm bringing them in in the morning.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, you couldn't do it. No. No. But I do love my crystals, don't we? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Just can get a bit carried away buying them though, can't you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I've been banned from my husband because we've got too many in the flat.
SPEAKER_01I want one of those big tall, is it geodes? I want a big tall amethyst one. That'd be lovely.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, massive. He's got a few.
SPEAKER_01I had some in Australia. There's plate that must we must look that up. There's somewhere in Australia where you actually go and just like to a cave with them all in.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and you can pick the crystals. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I just remember seeing it years ago. We'll have to have a look at that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because we're going to Australia. When? Well, not for another year. Yeah. Year and a half. 18 months.
SPEAKER_01But we can go and book in it soon, can't we?
SPEAKER_00December 27, we're going.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, uh trip of a lifetime.
SPEAKER_01For me and for you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because it's a special birthday for you.
SPEAKER_01If anyone's watching Australia and they'd like to give us some tips about where to go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01Please like and um like and share, type in the comments, yeah, because we're looking for ideas, aren't we?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for what we can do. We're gonna go and see the neighbours set.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, hopefully Jason says, Yeah, and Kylie.
SPEAKER_00Right, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then we're gonna go to you want to go to the prisoner place. I want to go to the prisoner sale blockage building. And I want to go to the beach where um the helicopter flies over in I'm a celebrity. Yeah, I didn't know about actually told me. It's in Brisbane, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00And I want to go to Sydney, we are. Yeah. Um and other than that, I just want to take in the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
SPEAKER_01Isn't that what it's called? Yeah, the Great Barry Reef. And what's that's my Sydney Harbour, yeah. Oh, the Opera House.
SPEAKER_00Oh, but it is Harbour Bridge as well, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01I think so. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, it's quite a small Sydney pack though, isn't it? It's not massive. I think so, yeah.
SPEAKER_00They film home and away there, don't they?
SPEAKER_01We could do that as well, couldn't we? If I'm not my fan. No me neither. I was always neighbours. I was neighbours. I think you're almost one.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I was gonna say bit neighbours or home and away.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, it's like they say Coronation Street or East Enders. Yeah. I mean, do you watch East Enders? Do you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Do you I'm not um an avid fan, if I miss it, I miss it. But if I'm in and it's on. My best friend watched it, she never missed an episode. She has it taped. Taped, you still do that now with a VHS recorder.
SPEAKER_00You know, Betamax.
SPEAKER_01What's it called now?
SPEAKER_00Record. You recorded it. Is that what you do on the skybox or something?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, record it. I've got DVD play and I wanted to watch some old DVDs that I had. And um do you remember Kalinetics? It was like an exercise thing. So I found the DVD, but then the DV the DVD machine doesn't link up to the television because it's so old.
SPEAKER_00So you need a special wire because I had to go do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I well the I think the DVD player is so old I can't even get the wire to connect the two because it's well those big six things it's got.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I've got to don't connect. So I gave that was a bad idea. I've been watching Gimme Gimme Gimme. Do you remember that? No, what's that all about comedy with Kathy Burke?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00From the 90s. What should watch that on? DVD. DVD. Because my TV, I've got an old TV still for DVDs to actually connect.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I need to get a DVD player. I think if I get a new DVD player, then I'll be alright because it'll be it'll match the telly.
SPEAKER_00It's weird how technology is annoying, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01Because everything keeps changing.
SPEAKER_00Because it was Cassent Tank. But it was records for you. Yeah. Final.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's something I saw on somewhere the other day about a Saturday used to be spent going down to the record shop. They'd be packed, people buying their records for 99p.
SPEAKER_00Woolworths, wasn't it? Yeah. Our price. What is it called? Our price. Oh, yeah, I forgot about them. Yeah. And there was another one on there. What's the hit? Price is right. Oh no, that's a terrible program. Bruce, it was that Bruce Force. Foresight, yeah. Oh my god. Come on down. Price is well. Oh yeah, come on down. And do you know what game um my nephew loves at the moment because I taught it to him? You know the yes no game from was it take your pick? I haven't seen that. When they did yes no, and you have to. I'm gonna do it on you now, actually. Right. We have to do this for 30 seconds. You can't say yes or no. I can ask you a load of questions. Okay, you've got to think of some quickly. Right. Do you like crystals?
SPEAKER_01Maybe.
SPEAKER_00Maybe. I thought you did.
SPEAKER_01I'm just an addict.
SPEAKER_00You're an addict? What crystal addict?
SPEAKER_01Some people might say that.
SPEAKER_00Do you like tea?
SPEAKER_01Only when it's hot.
SPEAKER_00Only when it's hot.
SPEAKER_01The tea or the webman? Are we going to Australia next year? That could have been a trick when I actually letting just now because I couldn't said the word. Um I don't know how to break this tea. Yeah. How many seconds was that? You weren't actually timing this. I wanted to think it was because I looked at it.
SPEAKER_00We'll look at the clock. Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Well, anyway, I think it's time for us to go.
SPEAKER_01I think so because my teeth's gone. And I'm getting hot. I'm getting hot.
SPEAKER_00And we need to we need to get time.
SPEAKER_01Why?
SPEAKER_00Do I look sweaty? No, I do. You look fine. Airbrushed.
SPEAKER_01So do you actually? This my camera's better than your camera, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Look at us. Give it a smile. Cheers. Oh, anyway, right. We we love you all.
SPEAKER_01And we see you again next month.
