What is up everybody?
SPEAKER_01It's another day.
SPEAKER_00Second breakfast podcast with your host Habito. It's time change this week has got me all sorts of fucked up. I have been extremely tired this weekend. On top of the time change, it just has not been a good week for me.
SPEAKER_01I'm exhausted. Anyways, here we are with another episode.
SPEAKER_00And this one is title changing. But I originally had it as changing for the better. And we'll get into a deep dive on that. I can talk about that for a while. But, anyways, first things first. Today is National Plumbing Dam. Uh today what you could do is thank a plumber for not having backed up pipes or be able to fix a busted pipe, because without them, it'd be a lot messier place. I have a sore in the back of my mouth and talking makes it fucking hurt, so we're gonna try to do what we can. It's just been like I say, it's been all around a shitty week, but hey, you know what? We'll make do with what we got. Now I'm gonna butcher this uh name.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01So bear with me on that. But I don't know what it is. Um where the fuck is it? Okay.
SPEAKER_00Tohoku? Tohoku? I don't know how to actually pronounce that. But the earthquake in tsunami back in 2011 is very significant. It was a magnitude of 9.0 to 9.1 megathrust. It struck off Japan's Pacific coast, the most powerful ever recorded in Japan, and the fourth strongest worldwide. Uh that earthquake also triggered a towering tsunami that wiped out entire towns, killed or left missing nearly 20,000 people, and caused the worst nuclear disaster since uh Chernobyl happened. Uh it the event forced a complete overhaul in the global uh tsunami warning system and coastal defenses. It also triggered the largest evacuation and rebuilding effort in modern history. Uh, it ended up costing hundreds of billions. And it also led dozens of countries to rethink or phase out nuclear power. Uh, it remains the costliest natural disaster on record and a stark reminder of how one event can reshape energy policy, disaster preparedness, and international safety standards for generations. Let me move my mic over close because apparently it's not picking up much. Uh, weekly news today. Um, we got the five top reports. This this week has been a little man. Uh, March 4th, the war on Iran enters its fifth day with massive US Israeli airstrikes. Apparently, this is all over about you know, we're not we're not gonna be talking about that the entire time. I don't have a lot for you on news uh other than the US and Iran is in war, and it has drastically fucked up the gas prices and anything else. I'm getting real sick of this. I'm getting real sick of the oars, I'm getting real sick of the bullshit and bullshit reasonings to raise gas prices just because we launched a missile. I would have had more wacky news for you, but I uh didn't really prepare myself for the wacky news this time, so I apologize, but wacky enough to start a fucking war, you know. Alright, um fun fact for today the first CGI movie uh let me rephrase that the first CGI sequence movie, which is a two-minute scene, it and this is the first ever, is called Westworld, made in 1973. So back in 1973, someone made the first EGI sequence. I'm assuming it was with the new technology they had and everything, it lasted two minutes. It's called Westworld. I'm yawning, I'm tired, I'm telling that time change fucks me up so much where I'm just tired all the time now. I thought I was tired for the past two weeks ago, but nope.
SPEAKER_01Nope, nope, nope. Next myth versus facts. You know, I really feel like I'm missing something.
SPEAKER_00But the thing is, is I don't fucking know what, so we're probably gonna forget about it today and come back to it another time. And I need to write down like on a fucking paper on what it was supposed to be, because I knew it was myth versus facts, and it was something else, and I just forgot what it was. So whatever. The myth. Humans use only 10% of their brains.
SPEAKER_01Shit.
SPEAKER_00The fact is, is we use a hundred percent of our brains, just not or over the course of the day, of a day, just not all at once. Um, brain imaging, MRIs, PET scans, shows activity across the entire organ, even during simple tasks. The 10% idea came from a misinterpretation of the 19th century century psychology and has zero scientific support. Uh, myth lightning never strikes the same place twice. I've heard that a lot. It strikes the same spot repeatedly, especially tall or conductive structures. New York's Empire State Building gets hit about 25 times per year, and lightning rods exist precisely because the myth is false. And my favorite one right here, myth. Cracking your knuckles causes arthritis. But the real fact is this decades of studies, including one doctor who cracked only one hand's knuckle one of his hand's knuckles for 60 plus years, showed no increased arthritis risk. The pop is just gas bubbles collapsing in the joint fluid.
SPEAKER_01That I knew.
SPEAKER_00Because it was supposed to take place through the the the reviews, and I just don't know what and it bothers the crap out of me not knowing. But anyways, I'll I'll probably end up listening to like the last week's recording or something to jot my mind down, and I'm gonna I'm gonna fucking write it down so I know because I knew I knew this was gonna confuse me when I started it, when I started doing it differently. But next up, uh conspiracies. Bigfoot exists. I haven't seen Bigfoot, but I like the idea that Bigfoot exists. At least his fuck me. Can we stop yawning? At least the existence of his species exist and not just one being.
SPEAKER_01I like the idea, so I'm on board with it. Even though I've never seen it.
SPEAKER_00And now for the main event or main subject, main event, good lord, is changing for the better. Now I'm not gonna go on forever about this, but it could be talked to on such a deep level. And this is bringing back from last week when I said that there's someone in particular uh that I can talk about this with changing doesn't always mean like changing major things. Changing can also mean the small things. You always if you want to change to make yourself a better person, or if you want to change in a way to where you'll like yourself more, start little. Don't start big, start little. And then work your way up. Get in a rhythm of these changes. If you want to do if you want to start with small things, do uh tackle a few of them at a time. If you want to do a big thing, focus on that hard until that becomes you, and then do whatever you gotta do. Why it's good, it shows growth, it shows maturity, it shows that you're willing to do what it takes to be a better person, and especially if you have kids, it shows that you're willing to step up and be the parent by improving yourself. Any adult, any kid, really, but mostly for adults because of this one person that thinks that they don't have to change at all in the slightest, no matter how many red flags they have, like severe red flags to the point where no one's gonna want to fucking be around them because they're terrible people. If you don't think you have to change at all, you're full of shit. I mean, sure, if you if you like the way you are now, uh let's say this. Let's say, like, realistically, you're a shitty person. Like this one person I know. You're a shitty person. You you know what you do is wrong, you know what you do is never gonna change because you're so stuck in your ways and you rather just you rather live what life one way and no other way. You don't want to compromise, you don't want to do anything else. You just want to you just want to live with that way. Cool, do it. But the problem is that people are not gonna go to you for anything because you're like, oh well, he's still immature. Well, he's an asshole. Oh, he he he doesn't really see the value in anything else that doesn't involve him. You're not gonna be friends, you're not gonna have friends that way. All your friends are gonna go. And if you have like that one or two friends or whatever, it's because they're the same fucking way. For example, I'll talk about this person and I'll and I'll probably stop talking about it. It'll be a quick episode today. Because I'll end up getting pissed off with it, honestly. Um, because it it's it's uh it's a big part of my life that I don't really want to talk about in front of everyone yet. But uh, anyways, this person refuses to change, refuses to see anything wrong they do. And I'm sorry, but if you can't take accountability for your actions, you're already immature, you're already a piece of shit. And and you have not grown up yet. Well, this person is still like this, and it'll always be like this.
SPEAKER_01This person also how do I want to say it?
SPEAKER_00Depending on who they're with, their personality is different. That is called a chameleon, that is called a fake person. I called them out on that. I said, you I I told him, I said that your personality changes depending on who you're with. She goes, they go, Yeah, and I'm like, you don't see a problem with that? And of course they're not going to. But I mean think about it. You you there's a difference between wanting to fit in because you don't know where you belong, and wanting to fit in so you can please everyone. When when you find out where you want to be, that's good. But what but if you just want to be a chameleon for the rest of your life, you're never gonna be happy because you're always too busy trying to please the people around you, and and that's what this person did. This person was pleasing everyone else around them, and then when it came to like a specific person, they just didn't give a fuck. And it's like you you can't sit here, do all this, and then treat one person like shit just because you can't. The one person that's like trying with you, you know. Uh, but but changing for the better is good. I mean, well when you're young, it's kind of hard to to see like where you want to be because if you're uh say if you're like 17-18 right now, you're not gonna be the same person, hopefully. I hope so. I know two people that are, but you're not gonna be the same person you are in 10 years. You're just not. Take me for example. Throughout high school and possibly middle school, I mean I was more getting in trouble in middle school, and then high school I just kept to myself. But high school, I was the same person. Beginning of college, I was the same person. It was in college when I decided to change myself. I was gonna be more social, I was gonna do this, try that, you know, just go out and do something. It's never too late to change, it's never too late to just be a better person. There's so many ways that you can change about yourself to just be better. It could be going to the gym once a week, or it could be uh if you want to focus on health, you know. Like I said, uh go to the gym once a week, eat a healthy meal twice a week. Uh, if you want to if you want to do a mental um being off your phone for two days out of the week or hours on end during the day, you know, it it it's little things, and sometimes they can be challenging because those little things could be like everything you do in life, but they can make you a better person. If you think it's gonna be if it's if you think it's gonna make you a better person, do it. If you don't think it'll change, then that's fine. It might not be for you. But because I've seen two people not grow up mentally, and these people are in the same age group I am they've been the same since they were in school mentally, and they still think that the whole world owes them everything, and they don't give a fuck about anyone else. Which is fine to not care about things you can't control, but when you're purposely being an asshole to other people just because, well, I've never got treated this way, that that's where you fucked up, and that's where you just need to stop. But, anyways, I'm gonna wrap it up with that. Change is not always bad. You have to adapt to new life, you have to adapt to you have to adapt to a lot of things growing up. It might be a pain in the ass, but you gotta live with it. And if you don't want to live with it, any changes no matter what it is, remove yourself from the situation. I'm not saying to kill yourself, I'm saying to remove yourself from it. Toxic family, get the fuck away from them. You don't like the place you're living at, move somewhere else. You don't like the people you're around, change your friend group. It's not hard, you just gotta want to do it. And if you don't want to do it, don't bitch about it. It's as simple as that. Anyways, uh speaking of last week's um podcast, I'm gonna re-watch it because I know I'm missing something, I just don't know what I'm watching. Or missing. God damn, I can't even think. Um, it was uploaded on Friday instead of Wednesday because I had some technical difficulties uh uploading, but we're back on track. You know, I I was still on that week. I had it recorded and everything on Wednesday, it was just it was a couple days late. Next week, March 18th, we'll be talking about finances. Now, with this, I will discuss the importance of being financially stable. Uh I have finally found the path to be financially stable. I have been out of school for quite some time, but I'd rather get that out now, and especially when you know we got students graduating in the next couple months. Uh, we got people that are graduating and not understanding how the fuck finances work. So I'll I'll discuss a little bit about that and all the importance of financing, what to do. And I mean, it might not work for you, but it's working for me. Oh man, I'm telling you. I'm hoping this week's better. We got St. Patrick's Day next week. Uh spring begins. It's gonna be awesome, you know, and hopefully it's uh I I'll have more uh wacky news for you guys. I just I wasn't expecting the top five stories to be about freaking uh yeah, whatever you want to call it.
SPEAKER_01I wasn't expecting it to be about the war, so it is what it is. But I hope you guys have a good time. See ya next week. Adios amigos.
