Holy Not Harmless: A Podcast for Bold Faith and Real Conversations
Holy Not Harmless:
A Podcast for Bold Faith and Real Conversations
is for the woman who has a God-given vision…
and keeps waiting for God to move again.
If God gave you the vision, He already trusted you.
If He appointed you, He already equipped you.
If He revealed it to you, He’s not coming back to carry it out for you.
This podcast is for Christian women who are done begging God for clarity they already have — and ready to take responsibility for the call on their life.
We talk about:
• Why God doesn’t spoon-feed grown believers
• The difference between faith and hesitation disguised as prayer
• Why obedience often looks like action, not waiting
• How to stop asking for signs and start stewarding vision
• Moving from princess faith to queen-level responsibility
You’re not waiting on God.
God is waiting on you.

What if the very things you thought disqualified you… are actually the things God wants to use?
In this season finale of Holy Not Harmless, I’m joined by Mallory for an honest conversation about being the “misfits” God calls — the ones who never quite fit the mold, who’ve wrestled with feeling too different, too messy, too outspoken, too unconventional, or too broken for God to use.
Together, we unpack what it means to be truly set apart in a world constantly pressuring us to conform.
We talk about:
✨ Feeling like you never fit the “normal” box
✨ Learning to stop hiding your story
✨ Why following God can feel lonely sometimes
✨ Living boldly when standing out feels uncomfortable
✨ What Scripture says about being salt, light, and transformed
Through Matthew 5:13–16 and Romans 12:2, we explore how God never called His people to blend in — He called them to bring light, conviction, truth, and transformation.
If you’ve been feeling overlooked, misunderstood, set apart, or like you’re still figuring out how God could possibly use your story… this episode is for you.
Because God doesn’t just call the polished or perfect.
He calls the willing.
Thank you for being part of Season One of Holy Not Harmless — a place for bold faith, real conversation, and walking unapologetically in purpose.
Until next season… stay bold, stay faithful, and remember: holy does not mean harmless. ✨

What's up, friends? Welcome back to Holy Not Harmless. This is a podcast for bold faith, honest conversation, where we are encouraging people who feel overlooked, different, too much, too broken, or too unconventional for God to use. I am blessed to be here with you on yet another episode and the season finale. I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all my listeners. If you've been here from the beginning, if you just got here, I just want to say thank you so much for being part of this journey that God has blessed me with. And I am really excited to be bringing this you guys this episode today because I'm going to be doing it with a dear friend of mine, right? Her name is Matt Mallory, and we are going to be talking about how God calls the misfits. You know, the people who never felt like they fit the mold, right? The people that have the messy stories, the strong personalities, the unconventional past or season that made them question, can God really actually use me? But if you look throughout the Bible, you're gonna see those are exactly the people that God chose always. He didn't choose the perfect, he just chose the people that were willing. And today, Mallory's gonna join me. And I know this episode is gonna encourage someone who's really been feeling set apart lately. So, Mallory, I just want to say thank you so much for joining me. Um this podcast has just been like such an amazing testimony of what can happen because this podcast has actually brought us together and we've become good friends, right? We like to I like to say she's like my soul sister. Yes, and um I'm just so thankful that for this podcast and the fact that it connected us. And um, why don't you tell my listeners a little bit about yourself and you know what made you go with this episode for today?
SPEAKER_03Well, I my name is Mallory. I am just be real honest, I'm seven years sober. That is only by God's grace and glory. Um, and so I gotta give him the praise for that because if it was up to me, I would be in a grave. Um and I'm a biblical life coach. I love coaching women. I love being able to help them rise into their their identity of who God calls them to be. Um I'm a spoken word poet, an author, and a soul sister. And I'm just beyond grateful to be on here to give back, right? Because if I don't give back, then I don't keep what I have. And I really believe that's what God uses us, right? And it's so funny how I used to hate social media. I still struggle with it, right? But that's how God connected me and you. And to connect with someone and to find someone, especially the misfits, right? Because we feel unseen, we feel like no one can understand us. We're misunderstood and our words go nowhere. And in reality, they do. It's just we find our circle, we find our people. And I love being here with another misfit because first conversation on camera, it was just, you're my sister, right? And that's a God thing. That is a God thing of he paired us together and conversations just flow, you know. If a conversation doesn't flow, what's in the way? It's me, right? I don't know how to ask questions, I don't know how to show up accordingly, I don't know how to be honest. And that's one thing that life has taught me, you know, to be able to ask the hard questions and not only be able to ask the hard questions, but be able to answer them and to be able to show up genuinely and not mislead someone, right? Because the world knows how to hurt us, but people don't know how to heal. And that is that's scary, right? That's very scary. Yeah, it is, and I feel like so. Yeah, I was the world's misfit for so many years. Wow. No more.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And no, now we're God's misfits, right? Yes. It's like important too because you know, misfits come in all different types of forms, right? For me, I never necessarily felt like I was the odd one out. In fact, I was probably the one that people would seek out, but in that same manner, I still felt like a misfit, if you know what I mean. Like, you know, I was just never felt like that was necessarily my place. And I also felt like, you know, how could God use me? You know what I mean? So yes, you know, we come in all different shapes and forms, right? Sometimes it's little more literal, but sometimes it's just a feeling, right? You just feel out of place. Um, you feel like you're not you're not able to be used, and so I mean, I know you shared with me, with me your story, and it's powerful. Like you can tell by Mallory's story, she is meant to be here, and she has a strong mission to fulfill. Like this girl, just her energy, just since we connected, so much has shifted in my life, just from being connected to her. And I prayed for community of women, right? Because as I was leaving my old identity behind and stepping into who God wants me to be, it's it's lonely, right? And being a new mom and moving to a new country, I didn't have that village anymore. And um, you know, I think a lot of moms can relate to that sometimes when you have young ones, it's not the easiest to get out there and and start mingling. Right. And so I prayed, and you know, like you said, social media is so great and being open to everything. And I've been connected with so many great women, and I feel like okay, these are my new, my new tribe, right? So if you're feeling the same, you can always pray to God will provide friends too. He will provide, you know, and those are some of the best blessings ever, right? Oh yeah. Best things that you can invest in. And so I want to talk a little bit about your story, Mallory, because I just feel like it's so powerful and it can help so many people. And I think you know that that's why you're you're on your mission. But tell us, like, how have you ever felt like you didn't fit into the normal box growing up or even now?
SPEAKER_03So I'll be real honest with you. Normal really just it's like, you know that feeling when you put your fingers on a chalkboard and you go down, right? What is normal? Normal is the setting on a dryer, right? Like my mom told me that growing up. And so it's that feeling of I don't want anyone to put me in a box of normal because I won't fit in. I don't know how, right? I was born to stand out. That's Jeremiah 1.5, right? And God chose me before I even knew him, right? Because he formed me in this womb. And that's so, to me, that's so beautiful. And it's that feeling of, I don't know about anyone else, but I've always put God in a box, right? And I can't do that anymore because he is limitless and he has called me to be a misfit. He has called me not to be normal because if I trust his way, then I'm able to find the people that he sees that I haven't met yet. Right. Because it's about being on his path and believing, not only believing, but being obedient. Being obedient is one of the hardest things, right? Yeah, it's that no one else knows what your obedience is. And the opinions of others keeps from me for a long time. It kept me from being obedient, right? I I'm I'm a runner.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you know, if you know anything about my story, it struggles with addiction, it struggles with narcissistic abuse, it struggles with I never knew how to love myself. And that was a journey of the only the only one that could heal me was the father himself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, how do you heal when you run from the father?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. And I can feel so much because I felt the same way. I think for like a period, I was just like, you know, I I was just like so reckless and my my sense of danger was so low, just because I just was like, there's no way, like, yeah, even even in that he showed me like there is a way. It was definitely right. So was there a moment where you had, did you have like a a moment that really stood out where you realized, okay, God can actually use my story instead of um asking me to hide it?
SPEAKER_03I will be honest, that was in year five of my sobriety. Um, I knew I was still healing and I knew I had to be stronger before I could honestly step out with misfit masterpieces. Um, because it's that feeling of we're all masterpieces, but we don't know how to become a masterpiece if we don't heal ourselves first, right? And looking in the mirror and not being scared of the woman I am, right? And also being able to sit across from another woman and be able to tell her my story and not feel no judgment, not feel the fear of myself, letting that paralyze me of no one's gonna understand me, right? God has created other people out there to understand me and help me heal. And today, now being one of those to be able to give back, right? And to talk to you about your own story and talk about my story, you know, there's scenes in our life that other women have gone through. Yeah, but I won't know that if I don't open my mouth, yeah, right? Because I feel like I'm so lonely. Not anymore. God relieved that, but that's in my story, right? Yeah, and if I hide that, then hell wins, right? They want me in a grave. Yeah, and God wants me to offer the grace to others, and you know, being able to have that courage to step out and to own it in that obedience of when God said you're called for more and this is who you are. It's always a question of do I say yes or do I say no and run? You know, because other people don't know my calling. I'm the only one that does. And so yeah, it's it's a beautiful thing when you say yes to a calling. Is it scary? Yes, it's terrifying, right? But you can turn that terrifying moment into excitement because God says in his word, he has good plans for us. Do I really trust it or do I back up and let fear win?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. And I love that you, you know, if you guys are listening listening, Mallory said it took her five years, you know, of intentionally healing and of intentionally, you know, going through sobriety and stuff until she had that moment. So, you know, this isn't something that just happens overnight. It's it's something that you very much have to fight for, right? Um with God's strength and the Holy Spirit, you will be able to pull through, but it's a battle and it takes time, um, especially when you're going through that that first, you know, time of your conviction, right? And you're you're being changed. And when I first met you, that was the first thing that I noticed is just like her humbleness and her openness about who she is. It automatically opens the door for me too to to to do the same, right? So that's definitely not easy to have. And um I thank you for showing up like that. And one thing I do love about you too is like that stood out is like you know, you're just so relatable. Um, and then also like you're not just here for the saved, right? Like we made it very clear, like two, that we're here to help non-believers, we're here to help and the broken and people that used to be like us, right? And I think as Christian or entrepreneurs, faith-led entrepreneurs, I think it's really important to remember that we're not just here called to save people like us, right? You know, I know there's a lot of us out there that just want to work with the people that have similar beliefs, similar backgrounds, and stuff like that. It's easier, right? It's less friction. But it you'll see why in this episode, too, as we continue along, that that God is not always calling us to go down the path of less friction, right? Like he says, what is the point of loving, you know, when it's easy? It's it's it's about loving when it's hard, right? If there's no glory in in loving someone that that loves you, it's about loving your enemies, loving when you've been hurt, forgiving when you've been hurt, you know, and so when from your perspective, you know, as a coach, you know, you work with a lot of people and you're designing the you've designed like this community of you know the misfits and um called creatives. You know, why do you think people are so afraid today to like stand out or live differently?
SPEAKER_03Because it costs something, man. That that's just no one wants to no one wants to pay that cost. You have to hand over your life for the life that God wants you to live. And you know, I'll be real honest with you, going back to my attempted suicide. Um, I was told by three people because I don't believe in God, I need to. And that was honestly like God waking me up of this is your last chance because I had kissed death so many different times, and that's too long for this episode. Yeah, but it's just that feeling of you know, kissing death taught me the intensity of the grace that he has for me to show others. Because I know for a long time it it was that it was hard for me to receive grace, right? Because I didn't think I was worthy of it. I didn't think I could live up to it, right? I wanted people's approval, I was a people pleaser. And now I've traded that into I want to please the father and the cost that it takes is worth it. It's kind of like when Peter stepped out of the boat, he took a risk, right? And he walked on water. That just for those couple of steps, it's worth it. To see a woman's life change is worth it, right? And to be able to say the hard conversations, the hard topics, you know, miscarriages, abuse, suicide, you know, those are hard topics that the world does not like talking about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And it's that that's gonna put someone in the grave because if they don't heal from something, then they will run to an addiction or what have you, and they won't live and they won't find who we are meant to find, right? Jesus, Jesus is the one that sets us free. Yeah, and that's the beauty of you know, why are we why are we terrified to live the hard life? Let's look at Jesus. Jesus didn't even want to go to the cross. Yeah, he asked the father, hey, is there another way? So, how many times have I done that myself? A lot, yeah, right? And that's why I want to bring this community and the coaching to women because I'm like, I get it. I don't want to be a runner anymore. I want to be a redeemer of the one who redeems, and that is only because of him, right? So is it worth it? Yep, I will die for it to be worth it because my life is not my life anymore, it's his.
SPEAKER_00Wow, wow, and I think that's so amazing. You know, last night I was actually watching The Chosen, and there's an episode where where Jesus goes to see the Samaritan woman at the well, right? And she's like, That's me. Exactly. That's what I'm thinking of. I'm like, He's that's yeah, that's my he's the Messiah. She's like, No way, no, you're not. He's like, she's like, and then she's like, okay, well, even if you are, like, I'm not the person that you should be talking to. First of all, you're a Jew. I thought you guys hate us, and do you know what you've done? And he's like, I I know everything you've done. Yeah, and I still love you. Yeah, and I'm gonna blow up. I came just for you. Yeah, I came just for you. Why do you think I'm here in the middle of the day? Yeah, right. And she took that and ran with it for the rest of her life, right? Yeah, like to know when you find that when you get to that moment of wow, you know what? God knows everything I I've done and still wants to bless. That's like her. Like, you can't shut up.
SPEAKER_03No, you know, it's like his living well was grace, right? Like that living water is him, yes, and it's truth, and it set her free, right? Because once someone knows all your sins, they can't use them against you, right? Because the one that went to the cross redeemed me and forgave me. And the gift of forgiveness is you know, yeah, it can be easy to forgive others, but it was so hard to forgive me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And the only way that happened was with him and a lot of work. And you know what? I'm not my past anymore. I use my past for others, but I am not my past anymore. After a lot of hard work and a lot of hard questions and a lot of answers, God is the only one that could redeem that. And it's so funny that you bring up the woman at the well, because that's I love her, man. She's like one of the ones that, like, when I get to heaven, I'm like, where's she at? Where's she at? Because we're gonna talk because it's just that moment with Jesus, right? And if you look at it, that's the longest conversation that Jesus had with someone. Yeah, yeah, it was that wasn't his disciple, you know what I mean? Like, wow, it's amazing. That in itself, and how many people that she impacted, because we don't even know, and we're not supposed to know for ourselves as well. Yeah, all we are called to do is just plant seeds and leave the harvest up to him, and that is the hardest thing that goes back to obedience.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and you know, another thing too that came to my mind is when he says, when Jesus says, you know, when the herd, the sheep herder will leave the herd just for the one, you will leave the 99 to go find the one that went astray. So again, that's just reiterating that Jesus came to save us, he came to save you in all of your mess, all of your whatever you think it is, muck.
SPEAKER_03It's not, it's not right, like your residue, yep.
SPEAKER_00Wash it off. He turns it to beauty, right? Yes, and it's not easy, but there's there's beauty in the struggle, and and you know, finding those little kind of re reaffirmations or little blessings, if you call it, along your way. It can be word, it can be a word, a word from a friend, like those little things give you so much when you know you're on that journey and you're you're you know, you're praying, you're you're being in obedience, you're you know, when you finally see those little messages, like even how you feel you know, I said something to you when we were talking, it was like a message that I had no idea, right? That you always be saying that to you, it was like a confirmation, like you're on the right path, Mallory. Oh yeah, and I just love when that happens, it just gives me so much joy, and I have to challenge myself even to find more of those little moments because I think so many times we miss it, right? Small things, and god things exactly. That's what we must say. It's a God thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So again, you know, you've you've been through this, you helped now help people and coach them through healing. What's what's some of the best advice that you have on, you know, staying grounded when you're following God and it feels like you're lonely, or if you've had times where you're like misunderstood or even attacked, you know, how do you stay grounded? What do you do to um yeah, stay the track?
SPEAKER_03Oh you know, I always have to remind myself that I'm not walking alone and that for me, I've done the hard work, right? And he's my roots now. And when I work with women, it's that feeling of finding their own roots and helping them upgrave them and being able to plant the roots that he wants to put in, right? Because he's our firm foundation. And if we don't run to the father, then we run to the world and the world wants to kill us. They want to, you know, it goes back to what the enemy wants to do is steal, kill, and destroy. And the father wants to redeem. And you know, being lonely in this world, being misunderstood, those are a given, but we don't have to stay there, right? We just have to find our circle where we belong. And being able to find out, you know, we all have insecurities, but if we're not able to find out what those insecurities are and to express them to someone else, we can never heal. We will never know our identity, right? And so we trade in our insecurities to know the identity that God calls us to. That's a coaching that I do because I really believe that God put a fire in me to lighten other women, right? The identity of finding out who we are. We are daughters of the Most High. We are daughters that are drenched in grace and strength and dignity. But we got to be able to find out what those words mean, right? Because the world likes to define words differently and the Yes in us, right? By our labels or by what they think we are. God knows who we are, right? And every day we get to find out who He created me, you to be, right? But that's that only happens when we open up our eyes and when we ask the hard questions and when we sit. And sometimes it's just a presence of being still with the Father.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And letting living letting yourself hear him, you know, call you by your name. I always think about like Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene. Yeah. She was possessed by those demons. No one could save her. And when Jesus came, all he did was say her name. Her her name, you know. Yes. Because back then in when in the Hebrew tradition and stuff, names weren't just given like how they are today, right? Your name is your identity. It was deep. Yeah. And so your name is to change your identity back then. And so that's why when you see a lot of the followers um in the Bible, their names have changed Abram to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, you know, so it used to mean princess, and then it turned to queen, mother of nations. Yeah. All of those things. So, you know, um, definitely being still, and we all have our own different ways, right? Um, God can do us in different ways, whether that's through dance, sing, journal, yes, you know, ministries, nature. Don't ever put limits on how it can reach you, right? It doesn't matter like how unconventional it might seem, you know. Some people connect with God in many different ways, and that's totally okay. And so, you know, we always like to bring it back to the scripture um because you know, God's word is is the ultimate truth, right? And that is the way. There's there's there's no her truth, um, their truth, his truth, there's the truth, right? Yes, and that's the problem I think that we face today is we think we have our own truth. And it almost sound mean, but right. No, no, it's the word. That is the truth. That is the word, and you can always fall back on those if you're uncertain, if you're unsure, fall back on the word. These are the words that cannot lie, these words have carried through thousands and thousands of years, right? Yes, they apply to then and now, right? The the Bible is a is a book of patterns, right? And these patterns still exist today, and so it's easy to when you know the patterns of the past too, it's easier to predict what's happening today. I think a lot of people that the Bible is can be outdated, but if you really look between the lines and the different layers, you know, that are in there, you can see that. And so, you know, I want to know from you, Mallory, what's like one of those verses that really you know you hold on to or that you know you're firm in um that kind of aligns with this.
SPEAKER_03That aligns with that man. I I have to keep going back to Jeremiah 1.5. Have to, yeah. You know, I'd love to throw another verse out there, but if I forget Jeremiah 1.5, then I lose it all, right? Because he knew me before I was he he knew me before I was born, right? My mother's womb. If you really think about that, you know, he stitched me together, he created who I was going to be daily, right? And it's that is a beautiful thing, right? And I would love to just throw another verse, right? To to give this more flavor, right? But sometimes when I don't even know it's I can get jumbled sometimes and lose what one verse is supposed to say. Yeah, yeah. Because I mix it, right? You know what I mean? Yeah, and and I need to marinate on one verse so I get the fool. You know what I mean? Yeah, and Jeremiah 1.5, you know, wow, he set me apart. If I really believe that, then no one else's words about me will hurt me. Yeah, I have to take offense to him because they only see an image of who they think I am. God sees the image that I am created in his image. And my prayer is I want you to see him. I want you to see Jesus. As hard as that is sometimes to walk, right? My thing is watch my feet. Don't don't really listen to my mouth because I'm human. I'm going to, I'm imperfect.
SPEAKER_01Yes, right.
SPEAKER_03I will sin. I don't want to, but truth be told, I will sin, right? And you know, the hardest scripture for me right now is taming my tongue, right? That's the hardest action.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because my old life, I used to, you know, I cussed like a sailor.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you don't realize how hard it is when you're getting pruned until you're going through that process. And man, you know, you talk about character building of I want to be more like Jesus until he actually gives you the trials, and it's a thing. I don't want to be like Jesus, right? It's too hard. I can't be like him. Yeah. Well, truth be told, I do, but the process, right? If if everyone likes you, then my challenge is you don't know who you are. Yeah. Yeah. Because you you fall for everything, right? If if some people don't like me, okay, that's fine because some people didn't like Jesus, they spit in his face.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But here's my thing. When I get to heaven, I don't want to hear the scariest scripture to me is depart from me, I never knew you. Yeah. I can't tell you where that is in the book, right? Like but the addresses for the Bibles, I'm not that great. I'm still learning, right? But those words, that's what I do know. And I don't want to hear that. So I'm going to live up to who God's called me to be. So other people won't hear that. Right. Because that's what that's that's our mission, right? It goes back to the misfit mission. That's our mission.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And if I don't do that, then I'm letting the father down and I'm also letting me down.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because here's my thing. If I was a lost person out there, a non-believer, and no one else wanted to plant seeds in my life, that's a sad, that's a sad day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, I'm only here because my mom didn't give up on me and she didn't stop praying.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03She had no idea everything what I was going through, but she was a praying mom who, you know, her knees, if you look at it, you know, it's just she spent a lot of time on her knees giving me to God. Wow. Thank God for that. Yeah. You know? So if there's any moms out there praying for their kids, don't ever give up because as long as there's air in their lungs, there's breath. And God can still breathe on them. And He can, you know, they can come alive. Dry bones can come alive. Wow. And that that's the testimony of, you know, that's my verse. Ezekiel 12 37. You know, because do I really do I really not believe that God can do that? Yeah, I do. But there's some people out there that don't even want to say God or don't even want Jesus. You know, I was one of them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03My mom always would tell me, you need Jesus. And I'd be like, nope, Jesus, I don't, me and him don't drive. Yeah. And now you guys don't don't drive. Right. I'm like, yep. We're gonna go piss off hell. Watch us. Exactly. And you know, you know what I mean? Like, that's I traded in being the world's misfit, who I could have never got their approval. And now I'm God's misfit.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03And you know, I'll be honest, I've had some people they they told me, I don't like that you say that you're God's misfit. And I'm like, well, that's your issue.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because you know what? This is what I'm called to do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And that's okay if you don't understand it. Because I spent so many years trying to get other people to believe what I believed in, and I didn't even know what I believed in. Today I know that I believe that God's called me to do this. And it doesn't have to make sense to other people. As long as it makes sense between me and the Father, I live today to please him and not you. Yes, you know what I mean? Yes. And that's that's the obedience every day.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Daily surrender to obedience is the hardest thing. It is. But it also gives the best life.
SPEAKER_00It is, and the most freedom, right? Because we don't realize how self-conscious we are until we really, like you said, get into what got God's identity for us. Because you have to start worrying about all this. God doesn't have all those worries and things that you're worrying about that get in your way and cloud your judgment and slow you down and delay you from the the most important mission, right? Yeah. So one of the verse that really stands out to me in the Bible on this is like the Matthew 5:13. You know, he says, You are the salt of this of the earth. God didn't call us to be sugar that blends into everything. If you look at sugar these days, some people say it's the devil. Just kidding. I'm just kidding. But he called us to be the salt because that's something that changes the environment, right? Salt. When you notice, you notice when it's missing. And as believers, we're meant to bring truth, we're meant to bring conviction, peace, and light into dark places, into dark places, right? And so we have to remember that we we have to be different and that God created you, like Mallory said, your very own lane. So one of the worst things you can do today is worry about what someone else is doing or compare yourself to someone else's journey because there's no way you will ever be able to do it, because that is not your lane. God specifically created you your own lane. And that can sound scary, that can seem like a little bit at first, like, okay, what do I do? But when you really understand it, it's the most freeing feeling ever because you're just like, you know what? I even if I lose, I win.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. Even if I do make a mistake, even if I am misunderstood, it's okay. Like, and I know for me, you know, being on social media and stuff, it's been a journey. Like it's not easy to go out there. And I know uh some believers believe, you know, social media is not good, but I also again believe, like, you know, if if there's an area that you don't think is good as a believer, you need to go into it. Yeah, you just sit there and and look back and judge on it. No, that means that area needs your help. It needs some less. So go on there and be a positive person. Go on there and be a light, go on there and share the gospel, go on there and do whatever God tells you to do. And you know, He will make He will make light of it, He will make glory in it. And so, you know, that's why I'm there, um, not just for myself, but to show other people, hey, be bold, be yourself, yes, and live in purpose on purpose because when you're not on purpose, everything is just kind of like I can't even explain it. You know, it's it's it's a rush, it's a burnout, it's a we gotta get this done, and there's time and puzzle and bustle, but when you realize like all of that is a facade, you can slow down and start to see like, hey, your life is really blessed. Even you know, sometimes you think that you need more blessings whole time your life is already blessed. You just you just need to realize it, you need to slow down and you need to realize it for yourself. And so I I love that, and it just reaffirms like, yeah, I'm not meant to fit in, and that's okay. You know, I'm more concerned about God's favor and how he feels about me than what people are too afraid to step into their calling or thinking of me, right? I know that I'm here to influence those people, and so you know again, I'm coming back to you because you are this is your craft, right? This is what you're meant to do, and this is why I brought you on the show because again, I want to share other women in walking in their purpose. I want us to collaborate and be able to help as many people as possible. And, you know, your story is not my story. There's things that you can do that I cannot do, and vice versa. Right. And so I would love if you could just give, you know, uh a little taste of kind of like your your coaching and just give uh the listeners like one practical thing that they can start doing this week, right? If they feel God calling them to live differently and more bold boldly. Like, what's one thing that you feel like would be the most helpful for someone that's just starting to do this or or wants to start doing this?
SPEAKER_03Take the pressure off of yourself and just breathe. Yeah, we always put pressure on ourselves to try to impress people, and we don't even know what impresses them. Yeah, and that tone of live for yourself, right? But also take that for living for the father and asking, you know, don't make prayer so hard. Keep it simple. Keep it simple. Even if you have to say, hey God, help me or hey God save me from myself, yeah, right. Those those are easy. Yeah, don't make faith so complicated. You know, I hate religion. I'll be real honest with you. I hate religion. Yeah, it's not religion, it's a relationship with the Father, absolutely, and we are all his kids. No, let me let me take that back. The ones that believe in Jesus are his kids, but the ones that don't, you know, need their eyes opened. Yes, right, and we need to pray for them. Yes, right, and some people might not agree with that, and that's like take it to the word. Yeah, but it's that you know, once I know that Jesus died on the cross for me, I want to live differently. Yeah, I don't want to just sin to sin and say, Oh, he's gonna forgive me. I want to at least do my best, right? And that one little thing, man, for everyone, just take the pressure off of your life. Life is too hard, life is too hard, life is full of pressure. Let's see, we get the folks already.
SPEAKER_00No pressure for anyone, yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_03Because we forget how to breathe. And here's the thing that you know, I tell a lot of women there's air in your lungs, and we aren't supposed to know what to do with it until we ask God what to do with it. Because I know for me, my mind will try to kill me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03But if I if I just ask God how to use the heart he gave me, but not be deceived by it because it can also deceive me. Yeah, yeah, you know, and that's the world deceiving me because I want to fall in love with what the world has, but yet I know they won't satisfy me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So it's just those little things, right? And that's a lot because you can't really just say one token, they're all golden nuggets, yeah. And that's a beauty of life, right? Like the two things I absolutely love are time and wisdom. They're free, yeah, but they're really not. Yeah, because wisdom comes from experience, and time is a gift from God that I used to abuse all the time.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03So my challenge for anyone would be don't take those two things for granted. If you want to have the best life out there, don't take those two things for granted.
SPEAKER_00Wow, thank you so much for sharing that. You know, I think one of the biggest takeaways is just, you know, being set apart can feel lonely sometimes. But you know, that's where our purpose is born. And God has always used imperfect and conventional people that are just willing to say yes. And, you know, um, I want to close in prayer and just kind of end um the the the season finale. But first, Mallory, I would love if you can just share with my listeners, you know, a little bit about your your work and where they can find you. Um, if they want to work with you in the future, because I think that it's it's really important, or maybe you know someone, right? So if you would tell us just a little bit about your your mission of the misfits and um, yeah, what kind of people that you are serving in this season.
SPEAKER_03Man, I'm calling uh I'm serving the unseen, serving the misunderstood, the lonely woman. The ones that think they don't have a purpose out there and they don't know where their identity is. I love doing identity work, that's why I'm called to this. Um, go to misfitmasterpieces.com. My coaching is dust often rise. And you can find me on Instagram at at coachofmasterpieces.com. Not calm, to take that part out. You know, social media is just lovely. Um, and it's just it's so crazy. Um that you know, I ran from social media for years, right? And even doing this, it was just this is not what I would have chosen, but God and the act of being obedient again, right? And then, you know, just owning it and letting people know. And it's just the humble part. Yeah, I don't ever want to leave, I don't ever want to lose being humble, right?
SPEAKER_00And I think because yeah, yeah, I think those big those big obstacles are in front of that that very thing that we need, you know, like you not wanting to having that kind of like resistance against social media. I think it's because you have a big message to say, you know, you have a big message that's meant to reach a lot of people right now, today. And you know, that resistance is like trying to keep you. So sometimes that's why they say do the thing and you'll have the power, because usually that thing that you have the most resistance around that you don't want to do, that's the thing that you need to do, right? To to show it too that hey, you don't have any power over me. You know, fear doesn't have any power over me. The thoughts of other people, you know, thinking about me being cringe on social media as well, it doesn't matter because guess what? Some people are not gonna think that. Some people are it's gonna save them, it's gonna help them, and even if it helps one or two people, that's what we're here for, right? It's it's not about the vanity metrics and stuff like that. No, and so I just want to say close in prayer, and just want to thank you again for just being on this episode and sharing, you know, what you have for me with everything, you know. So let's pray.
SPEAKER_03And like you know the beauty of it before we close out in prayer is just one woman to another, just like this. Yeah, that's why I love it. You too. But you can't just choose this, you have to do everything, yeah. Right, yeah, and that's that's also the cost, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Of just saying yes, right, you've got to take limit off yourself, and you know, because God can call you to be doing something that looks completely different from what you do. Oh, definitely, and a lot of times it's it is, and you have no idea what you're saying yes to. Exactly. You think it's supposed to be looking this way, it's actually not supposed to be looking, or maybe the idea, the mission, the the heart behind it, the vision is right, but you need to let go of the actual how you think it's supposed to look, right? As sometimes I've I've met women, you know, they have this mission, they have the purpose in their heart, but they're so focused on well, I want it to be in this type of business where I'm helping these type of people. You gotta release that, right? Stick to the mission, no tunnel vision to whatever that looks like. Um pray and make sure that of course it's it's in alignment with what God wants for you, but be open to it. It looks like a completely different b business. As long as the purpose and the mission is the same, be open to it, right? And oh yeah, you know, I think that that's amazing and a good piece to add, you know, for real. It is true. It is, it is no limits, no limits, no limits.
SPEAKER_03So all righty, sweet sister. Close this out. But thank you, everyone who listened, and yeah, just blessings and don't ever give up. Don't ever give up.
SPEAKER_00No, never, never. All right, Father God, I just want to say thank you for every person that's listening today. You know, thank you that you don't just call the polished or the perfect, you call the willing, you call the overlooked, the different, the ones who feel set apart. I pray that every listener would stop shrinking themselves to fit into places you never called them to stay in. Give them boldness to walk differently, courage to obey you fully, and peace when the journey feels lonely. Renew their minds, strengthen their faith, and remind them that being set apart is not rejection, it's purpose. Use their story for your glory in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you so much for being part of season one. Seriously, like every every share, this journey has been such a blessing, and I hope it inspired some of you listeners to just start when God gives you an idea and something on your heart, just put it out there, don't think about it too much. Don't have to be perfect and polished. In fact, if it's not, it's even better because in those gaps, you're giving God the opportunity to come in, right? He starts where you end, he begins where you end. So don't always feel like you have to do that. This podcast started in my room on my phone, no fancy equipment, no big ideas. It's just a willingness to do something, right? I said I wanted to make an impact, and God told me you can make an impact without making an income. Start a podcast, be positive, uplift women. And that has opened my eyes to so many other possibilities. And I can tell that's where God wants me because I have felt his favor and just like abundance for my life since this podcast. So thank you to every single woman up for being a part of this. Thank you to all the women for being on my podcast. And this you too, Mallory. You know, if you would like to connect with Mallory and learn more about her, I will drop all of her information in this in the show notes. And um, I look forward to seeing seeing you guys again in the fall for season two. In the meantime, you can also connect with me on social media. I would love to hear from you. Any any feedback, anything, or if you want to be on the show, please reach out to me. Um, but in the meantime, just remember homely does not mean harmless. Stay bold. No, it does not. All right, you guys. Blessings. Yes, blessings.
