Between Sundays FCBC
Between Sundays is a short weekday podcast designed to support Christian discipling in ordinary life.
Each episode is a brief reflection—3-10 minutes—building on the previous Sunday’s teaching and preparing the heart and mind for the next. These reflections are not sermons, debates, or commentary, but pastoral reminders meant to steady attention, reinforce truth, and cultivate faithful habits throughout the week.
Between Sundays is for listeners who want to live thoughtfully, listen carefully, and remain anchored to the gospel beyond the gathered hour of worship.
New episodes are released Monday through Friday.

Welcome to Between Sundays. Today we are continuing to reflect on Sunday's message from 1 Corinthians twelve. Yesterday we remembered that the church is a body, not an audience. Today we consider this truth. Every member is needed. Paul says in 1 Corinthians twelve fourteen, for the body is not one member but many. That verse is very plain. A body made of only one part would not be a body. If the whole body were an eye, it might see, but it could not walk. If the whole body were an ear it might hear, but it could not work. The same is true in the local church. Not every believer has the same gift, not every believer has the same personality, not every believer has the same experience, not every believer serves in the same way. But difference is not a problem. Difference is part of God's design. One of the dangers in church life is comparison. A believer may say, Because I am not like that person, I must not matter. Someone else may say, Because I cannot do that ministry, I must not be useful. But Paul shows us that this thinking is wrong, the foot is still part of the body even though it is not the hand. The ear is still part of the body even though it is not the eye. Your usefulness is not determined by whether you are like someone else. God does not need every member to be the same. In fact, if every member were the same, the body would be crippled. Look for one small way to serve or strengthen someone this week. A small act of service can have large influence. A warm greeting can help a visitor feel welcome. A kind word can encourage a discouraged believer. A prayer can strengthen someone who feels weak. A quiet act of faithfulness can help the whole body function better. Do not say I am only a helper. Do not say I am only a quiet servant. Do not say I am only doing a small thing. If God has given you a place, that place matters. The Church needs faithful members more than it needs famous members. So today, remember this. Every member is needed. Let us pray. Lord, deliver me from comparison. Help me not to despise the place you have given me. Teach me to serve joyfully, faithfully, and humbly in the body of Christ. Amen. As we look toward next Sunday, prepare your heart to come not only asking, What will I receive, but also, How can I strengthen the body and
