Between Sundays FCBC
Between Sundays is a short weekday podcast designed to support Christian discipling in ordinary life.
Each episode is a brief reflection—3-10 minutes—building on the previous Sunday’s teaching and preparing the heart and mind for the next. These reflections are not sermons, debates, or commentary, but pastoral reminders meant to steady attention, reinforce truth, and cultivate faithful habits throughout the week.
Between Sundays is for listeners who want to live thoughtfully, listen carefully, and remain anchored to the gospel beyond the gathered hour of worship.
New episodes are released Monday through Friday.

Welcome to BETWEEN SUNDAYS PODCAST.
This episode originates from last Sunday's sermon entitled: Placed in the body.

This WEDNESDAY episode is designed to search our conscience before the Lord to realize that no member should live detached from the rest of Christ’s body.

Welcome to Between Sundays. Today is our heart examination day. We are asking how Sunday's sermon should search our conscience before the Lord. In Corinthians twelve twenty one, Paul writes and the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. That verse corrects a serious problem, spiritual independence. Earlier in the passage Paul deals with inferiority. A believer may think I am not needed, because I am not like someone else. But now Paul deals with superiority. Someone may think I do not need others. Both attitudes are wrong. No member should feel useless, and no member should act independent. This is especially important in our day. Many Christians are tempted to think they can live the Christian life detached from the local church. They may say, I can worship God by myself. They may say, I can read the Bible at home. They may say, I can listen to preaching online. They may say, I do not need church. They may say, I do not need accountability. They may say, I do not need other believers. Now, of course, we should read the Bible at home, we should pray privately, we may benefit from sermons and Bible teaching outside the church building, but none of those things replace God's design for the local church. A hand detached from the body is not stronger, an eye detached from the body is not freer, a foot detached from the body is not more useful. Detachment does not produce strength, it produces danger. Detached Christians become vulnerable to discouragement, false doctrine, bitterness, temptation, spiritual laziness, isolation, and pride. Ask yourself honestly, am I living connected or am I drifting toward detachment? Am I faithful in assembly? Am I letting other believers know me? Am I allowing the Word of God to correct me? Am I praying with and for the church? Am I serving alongside the body? Am I accountable, teachable, and reachable? This is not about guilt for guilt's sake. This is about spiritual health. God did not design believers to live alone. He places believers in the body for protection, growth, correction, encouragement, and service. Let us pray. Lord, search my heart. If I have become distant, proud, detached, or careless toward your church, correct me. Help me to see my need for the body, and help me to be a faithful blessing to others. Amen. As we move toward next Sunday, ask the Lord to make you more connected, not less. Come ready to worship, listen, encourage, and serve.
