Welcome to Between Sundays. Thursday is our practice the truth day. Today we take Sunday's message and ask, What should I do with this? One of the most important verses in Sunday's sermon was first Corinthians twelve eighteen. But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body as it hath pleased him. Notice those words God set the members. Your place in the body is not an accident. It is not merely about personal preference, it is not first about ego, ambition, or convenience. God places his people as it pleases him. That means service in the local church begins with surrender. The question is not, do I have the place I would have chosen? The better question is, am I faithful in the place God has given? Sometimes Christians want God to reveal their entire life purpose before they take the first step, but often purpose becomes clearer as we serve. Faithfulness often brings clarity. You may not know every gift you have until you begin helping. You may not know where you fit until you start serving. You may not know what burdens God has placed in your heart until you begin walking with the body and noticing real needs. Choose one concrete act of faithful service before Sunday. Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. It may be sending an encouraging message, it may be praying for someone by name. It may be asking a ministry leader, is there something I can help with? It may be preparing your heart to serve in nursery, Sunday school, music, greeting, cleaning, discipleship, outreach, or hospitality. It may be simply showing up faithfully and being ready to strengthen others, do what you know to do, serve where there is a need, be teachable, be dependable, be humble, be willing. The church does not become strong merely because it has talented people. A church becomes strong when its members are faithful. Faithfulness means showing up, keeping your word, serving when it is not exciting, continuing when no one applauds, being dependable because the work belongs to the Lord. Let us pray, Lord, help me to be faithful. Teach me to serve without pride, without complaint, and without waiting for applause. Show me one practical way I can strengthen the body this week. Amen. As we approach next Sunday, remember, God has not merely saved you from sin, He has placed you in the body for His purpose.
