Between Sundays FCBC
Between Sundays is a short weekday podcast designed to support Christian discipling in ordinary life.
Each episode is a brief reflection—3-10 minutes—building on the previous Sunday’s teaching and preparing the heart and mind for the next. These reflections are not sermons, debates, or commentary, but pastoral reminders meant to steady attention, reinforce truth, and cultivate faithful habits throughout the week.
Between Sundays is for listeners who want to live thoughtfully, listen carefully, and remain anchored to the gospel beyond the gathered hour of worship.
New episodes are released Monday through Friday.

Welcome to Between Sundays. It is Friday, and today we prepare our hearts for the Lord's Day. This week we have been thinking about Sunday's sermon from 1 Corinthians twelve. We remembered that the church is a body, not an audience. We considered that every member is needed. We examine the danger of living detached. We practice the truth that God places members as it pleases him. Today we come to 1 Corinthians twelve, twenty seven. Now ye are the body of Christ and members in particular. Paul is not speaking in vague theory, he says, Now ye are that means this truth is personal. It applies to real believers in a real church with real responsibilities, real relationships, real needs, and a real mission. The church is not merely an institution, it is the body of Christ, and if you are saved, you are not called to remain on the edge, you are called to belong, grow, and serve. So as we prepare for Sunday, let us ask the right question, not only what is my purpose, but Lord, how can I serve you in the body where you have placed me? That question changes the way we come to church. We come ready to worship, we come ready to hear the word, we come ready to encourage the saints, we come ready to notice needs, we come ready to help carry the mission forward. The local church exists to glorify God, preach the gospel, baptize believers, teach the word, disciple Christians, observe the ordinances, and send the light of the gospel into the world. Your service is connected to that larger mission. When you teach a child, you are part of the Great Commission. When you help a new believer grow, you are part of the Great Commission. When you pray for souls, you are part of the Great Commission. When you support missions, you are part of the Great Commission. When you encourage a weary saint, you are helping the body stay strong for the work of Christ. Before Sunday, pray this prayer, Lord, help me come ready to serve. Do not come merely as a spectator, come as a member of the body, come ready to worship the Lord, receive his word, and strengthen his people. And if you are not saved, your first need is not to find a church role. Your first need is to come to Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Romans 10 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Let us close in prayer. Lord, thank you for the body of Christ. Prepare my heart for Sunday. Help me come with faith, humility, expectation, and willingness. Use me to strengthen your church and serve your mission. Amen. This has been between Sundays. Let us not merely attend the church, let us serve the Lord through the church.
