SPEAKER_01 0:07

Welcome back to another episode of Chasing the W. I'm Amanda.

Bonnie 0:10

And I'm Bonnie.

SPEAKER_01 0:12

And we're here for episode 13.

Bonnie 0:15

Lucky number 13. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01 0:17

I was thinking to myself, maybe we'll get a break soon, but then I realized that the season is starting. And so there is literally no break in sight. We're not taking a break, I think, probably until end of the season. October. Just the five seconds we get in between, you know, the W and Unrivaled. So.

Bonnie 0:33

Yeah. I mean, maybe not even that. I mean, I guess maybe just a little.

SPEAKER_01 0:37

Maybe just like a couple weeks.

Bonnie 0:39

A couple weeks.

SPEAKER_01 0:40

Wow. That's like gonna be a lot of episodes.

Bonnie 0:42

That's when we'll have Ryan on.

SPEAKER_01 0:44

Yeah.

Bonnie 0:45

Yeah, we'll have Ryan on at the end of the WMEA season. You can fill in the gap.

SPEAKER_01 0:51

Anyway, what have you been up to?

Bonnie 0:53

I told you I don't have any other. Oh crap, you did say that. But what have you been up to?

SPEAKER_01 0:57

Well, I've been hooping a lot, and actually Bonnie was hooping with me.

Bonnie 1:00

Yeah, we played three by three the other day.

SPEAKER_01 1:02

And we haven't been on a team together because I think they're scared of us.

Bonnie 1:06

They're scared of chasing the W. They have to split us up.

SPEAKER_01 1:08

They literally didn't even put you on the same team as Eliza. They're scared of us. They're scared of us. And they have every right to be scared because I did, in fact, hit a three over tall girl. So it's my claim to fame. But I did not emote like I wanted to. I second guessed it. I thought I would regret it later.

Bonnie 1:28

So yeah, I feel like that's probably true.

SPEAKER_01 1:30

Yeah, I've it would have been way more. I would have been trying to climb Eliza's back in the paint, trying to stop her from scoring. She probably still would have scored. But anyway, today let's talk about let's talk about a lot of stuff. We're gonna talk preseason training camp, not in this order specifically, but regular season predictions. We'll talk about what we think is going to happen in terms of who's getting cut. We'll touch on the Natasha Cloud conundrum. I have not a lot of thoughts, but you know, some some thoughts. A few thoughts. We have the Bonnie show, Overtime. Got overtime, a deep dive into training camp and training camp contracts.

SPEAKER_02 2:12

Yep.

SPEAKER_01 2:13

And it's kind of twofold this 24-second shot clock, because I would like to do something around Coach Jackie and Shaq, but then also an update on Paige and AZ because late breaking news, Paige responded today in the media.

Bonnie 2:28

And so she's so mature.

SPEAKER_01 2:30

We got to talk about it. So let's let's go from there. Why don't we start with what should we start with? Actually, why don't we just start with the Paige and AZ thing? Let's start it. Yeah. Because that's like a quick update.

Bonnie 2:41

And that was like the last 24. That's what we ended with last time. Yeah. So it feels right to start.

SPEAKER_01 2:46

Yeah, so we'll we'll pick it right back up. Essentially, Paige had media day today, and she addressed the media and essentially said, listen to me now and listen to me good because I'm not finna say this shit again. Yep. What their personal relationship is their business. As I said. Yeah. I said it. It's not like she also said though, I understand why you have to ask about it, but our personal relationship is no one's business but our own. We've had several reps at this. We are professional on the court and nothing ever carries over. Like, and that's that on that. So I thought that was a really mature response, and she wasn't prompted, she kind of just started her presser that way, which I respect, and I think fair, honestly.

Bonnie 3:32

I mean, I also feel like it's so cute she's like standing up for them. But I mean it's so true. It's and she also mentioned like AZ like was the first draft pick, not because of Paige being on the team, it she earned it, it was her effort um that got her there. So I feel like someone needs to say it, and I'm glad she did.

SPEAKER_01 3:55

And the Wings have also doubled down on that stance as well. And I know previously we've talked about just how I feel like Paige being on Dallas definitely influenced the decision. However, I do think that it's less about their relationship and more about the fact that they have chemistry on the court, they played together for so long, it only makes sense. Like that is natural chemistry being transferred over to the W, and you can't I don't know, you just can't create that overnight, and so that's an asset. And they needed three-point shooters, honestly, and that's that's just really that. I feel like there's nothing really else to it.

Bonnie 4:34

I hope that they don't like I hope the media actually like listens to her and stops asking.

SPEAKER_01 4:39

Yeah, I do feel like had she not said something, they probably would dwell on it more just because there's a lot of conversation about how the team p the team's PR essentially answered for AZ, which I respect their decision to do that. And do I think it would have been more impactful if AZ addressed it herself? Sure, but it's also within her right to not be the person to address it.

Bonnie 5:01

She's young, like this is she just got into the league, like she doesn't want to. I mean, I think they're just trying to take care of her her.

SPEAKER_01 5:07

Yeah, you know, no, for sure, for sure.

Bonnie 5:09

And like she doesn't want to feel pressured, or they don't want her to feel f pressured to answer stuff, and she hasn't sure. Like she did media in college or whatever, but I feel like this is different. She hasn't had the experience yet.

SPEAKER_01 5:20

No, a thousand percent. So that's that on that. Stop asking them questions, it's none of your business. It's not your business. Okay, so I guess I'll save Natasha Cloud for right before we talk training camp just because it's relevant there. But yeah, I did want to talk maybe a little bit about regular season predictions because I I don't know that I have a lot of predictions. I feel very overwhelmed with the fact that there's so many new teams, and I just feel like there's so many rosters that are completely stacked.

Bonnie 5:53

Yeah, I agree. It was um, I know we're gonna get into this later, but it was like tough even watching the preseason games because I was like, who is that? Who is that? Who is that? I was like, didn't know anybody. Um and I do have one prediction I think the Valkyries are gonna be a huge threat.

SPEAKER_01 6:14

You think?

Bonnie 6:15

I think they're gonna be a problem this year. I think they're gonna be really, really good.

SPEAKER_01 6:19

I guess I do wonder I guess based on like most of their most of the league's rosters, I do feel like there's a lot of consistency in San Francisco's Yeah.

Bonnie 6:31

I mean, I guess just based on what I saw from their rookies, but yeah, a lot of teams are really strict. I mean, Aces obviously are gonna be really good. I mean, they're g they're good every year. Um I hope we are good.

SPEAKER_01 6:49

I it's not that I'm not into our team. I think I'm just more so like I don't know this coach. I know, I don't really have to respect. I don't, yeah, like I mean, I do we've talked about this a little bit, but they talked about Sab coming into her own as a PG. And I do think that she did super well. Yeah, she did really well when Sleet was out, and so I think she has a ton of potential. I also think it gives her an opportunity to learn how to create her own shot, so I'm excited to see that. Plus, she kind of I think needs to play the one that way she can continue building off of that chemistry with Satu that she already had in Oregon. So yeah, agree. That's that's honestly, I'm really trusting Sab to make me believe in SATU.

Bonnie 7:37

Yeah. So yeah, yeah, I think we'll we'll warm up to SAT 2.

SPEAKER_01 7:41

I think so too.

Bonnie 7:42

I just feel like it's just hard because there's so many unknowns, right? Yeah, you know?

SPEAKER_01 7:47

There's so many unknowns, and I swear to god, if Ellie comes back skinnier than she was last season, I'm I'm gonna have to file a report.

Bonnie 7:54

I'm gonna have to say something too.

SPEAKER_01 7:57

Like, this is crazy. This is like unrealistic image expectations.

Bonnie 8:00

This is what women have to deal with their whole life, and you're still throwing it in our face.

SPEAKER_01 8:04

Yeah, and Ellie was beautiful when she was thick, okay?

Bonnie 8:07

She was perfect.

SPEAKER_01 8:08

Yeah. I was gonna say big, blonde, and beautiful, but she's not blonde, so big blonde and beautiful.

Bonnie 8:15

I didn't know you liked hairspray.

SPEAKER_01 8:16

Um, good morning, but tomorrow. Wait, I didn't start on the right parts. Uh uh, woke up today. Okay. Anyway, I do really love it. We should watch it sometime. We should watch that.

Bonnie 8:29

All right, back to what we were talking about predictions.

SPEAKER_01 8:34

Okay, I think Atlanta is going to be tough.

Bonnie 8:39

I agree.

SPEAKER_01 8:40

I'm scared. Angel. I also I don't know. I'm just kind of I had a second team and it was the Sparks, and now I it's really tough because I want all the girls to succeed except for Indiana. Like that's just kind of where I'm at. Like I want Angels.

Bonnie 9:00

It's actually because there's like some girls on Indiana that I want to succeed, but I don't want them to succeed as a whole.

SPEAKER_01 9:06

Yeah.

Bonnie 9:06

Unfortunately.

SPEAKER_01 9:08

No, I know.

Bonnie 9:09

And because you know Kelsey Mitchell is my girl. I know. And now Raven Johnson too. I want to be on the show. I know.

SPEAKER_01 9:14

I want Raven to be great too. I'm gonna be honest with you, Aliyah Boston has grown on me. I don't know that I'm like a like her biggest fan, but she has grown on me, and her elbows are no longer public enemy number one.

Bonnie 9:25

I think she worked on it.

SPEAKER_01 9:26

I think she did. And I don't know, I feel like Unrivaled made me like I don't know. I'm just like, okay, girl.

Bonnie 9:32

Do you remember when Kelsey was doing that impression of her?

SPEAKER_01 9:35

Yeah. It was good.

Bonnie 9:36

It was good. Actually, one producer just dropped something in the notes that is pretty interesting about um predictions this uh season. Um they're kind of like three tiers. So the top are the contenders, which have you know stable cores and are predicted to like win now.

SPEAKER_01 10:02

Yeah, they're all in. They're all in. No draft picks, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Bonnie 10:05

It's the Liberty, the Aces, the Sky, and the Dream.

SPEAKER_01 10:10

The Sky is really interesting because I hate the Sky as an organization.

Bonnie 10:15

Right.

SPEAKER_01 10:16

But they picked up a lot of my girly pops, and now I'm confused. I don't know what to think.

Bonnie 10:21

Like they totally switched it up.

SPEAKER_01 10:25

Yeah, it's it's it's so crazy to like to look at their lineup now compared to last season and how they were handling the angel Reese of it all because it's giving they just didn't fucking like her. I know that's what it's giving because it's the same coach, yeah. I'm pretty sure, but I think he was also low-key. I don't think he should be a head coach, but it's it's giving like the same energy as the uh the dude from Dallas. He was the current coach for Chicago was an assistant coach for Vegas. That's right. Yeah.

Bonnie 10:57

Tyler Marsh.

SPEAKER_01 10:58

Oh, yeah, that's his name. Yeah, I don't know. I also I don't know, man. I feel like ever since Sloot went back to the sky, I kind of low-key like I have this opinion about her that I I guess I didn't spend too much brain power on Sloot before, but I don't know. I th Insidious is too heavy of a word. Like it's not in like it's not quite insidious, but I don't know. I feel like there was a vibe between Sloot and Angel. I wonder if there was like some kind of like um it's like battle for control or something.

Bonnie 11:35

She's giving like a bitter vet. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01 11:39

It yeah, like that's what I mean. Like, and so I wonder too, because obviously Sloot played for the sky before she went back. I wonder if it's giving like she thought she would be going back and it would be her team and she's leading the team when in reality it's low-key, it was Angel's team because she's trying to build around Angel. Yeah, so I feel like there was some friction there, and it feels like Sloot is kind of like in the ear of the front office, too. I don't know. Did she part does she I'm not sure like there's something that's why I said insidious is not quite the word, but there's something insidious going on here.

Bonnie 12:12

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 12:13

But I mean, at the end of the day, Angel was traded, and I think that's gonna be what's best for her from a mental health perspective, and then also just from a career perspective. I think she's gonna grow so much in Atlanta.

Bonnie 12:23

Yeah, I agree. I really agree agree.

SPEAKER_01 12:27

But now the sky have they have Dijanay, who should be available for the regular season. They have Skylar, they have Rakia. I know. Shout out to my girl, yeah. And they also have Camilla.

Bonnie 12:41

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 12:43

I think I mean they're solid, they're very solid.

Bonnie 12:46

And I hope that Haley Van Lith, like gets it.

SPEAKER_01 12:50

Oh my gosh, I forgot about her.

Bonnie 12:51

Yeah. I mean, and she played with Angel for a while too.

SPEAKER_01 12:54

Yeah, I think I want to see more of Haley Van Lith this season for sure. I feel like she didn't quite get enough touches last season.

Bonnie 13:00

I keep forgetting that Angel's not on Sky anymore. This is it's so much up with the remote. I just feel like that's isn't that unheard of? Even though like we literally just said it, I was like, I know Hayley played with Angel, they're not playing anymore together.

SPEAKER_01 13:12

Yeah, but to be fair, they played in Chicago and they played at LSU together. So totally valid, totally fair.

Bonnie 13:18

Um, okay, so they're one of the contenders this year, and then the middle slash volatile like middle of the road, yeah. Who have like totally rebuilt um well not totally, I guess, but the wings, the fever, sparks, lynx, and valkyries.

SPEAKER_01 13:34

I think the wings are going to be very good, and I only say that because we kind of already touched on the chemistry between Paige and Aisy. Like, there was a thing Azy talked about on her podcast, Foot Around and Find Out. Incredible podcast name, by the way. She mentioned that she jokingly said to Paige that she forgot how good of a passer she was because she got the pass right in her shot pocket and she was able to get right back into her motion. Like, that is what I'm talking about when I say they were she was drafted for the chemistry as well. Like, those are two players who are gonna play super well off of each other. They just picked up Wolana Smith, who recently went brunette, which I'm not sure how I feel about it. It feels weird.

Bonnie 14:10

It feels I was like, is that a wig? She's I legit was like I mean it doesn't look right yet, it doesn't look like her yet. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01 14:19

Yeah, I'm not used to it. No, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was like strange. And I to be fair, I only saw one video, but I was like, ugh, who is that? Um but you know, they got Alana Smith. They I think Arike, man, with the help, I think Arique is going to be incredible because I think Arique is very good, but she's I feel like used to putting the team on her back, and now there's so many options, like it's gonna be good. Yeah, I'm very excited for Dallas.

Bonnie 14:47

I'm excited for them too.

SPEAKER_01 14:48

I'm excited for Lynx to have Olivia Miles, yeah, and I think especially with Fee's injury, I think she's gonna get a lot of playing time, and I think that'll be great because I mean let's see what she can do, right? Like with Courtney playing the two and Olivia Miles at the one. I don't know. And then you've got McBuckets. I mean, I don't know if she's cleared to play with the whole ear thing. I mean, she is.

Bonnie 15:12

Yeah, I hope so.

SPEAKER_01 15:13

That poor girl. But I mean, otherwise, they don't really have anyone else there. I'm like actually surprised that Minnesota hasn't picked up Tosh, but I do wonder if that's like a money thing. But we'll we'll get to that later.

Bonnie 15:26

Yeah. Okay, then lastly, the rebuild slash expansion tier is no surprises here. Storm. Who do they even have? Mystics, totally rebuild, sun, again, I don't know. Yeah, I don't even know who's on the sun right now. Fire, brand new tempo. I mean, those are both.

SPEAKER_01 15:45

Yeah, expansion teams. I think, but I think the one I would be most concerned about not being able to do anything is probably the storm. Yeah, however, I do think I don't think I don't know. The Mystics to me, I don't know if I would I guess technically by definition they are rebuilding, but I do think that they could be dangerous. They have a lot of rookies, which means they're gonna be playing very freely. I don't know. I feel like you never know. Yeah, like you never know.

Bonnie 16:10

Um, and they have Cody McMahon now.

SPEAKER_01 16:14

She's a rookie, which and and Lauren Betts. Don't they have Lauren Betts as well? Oh, yeah, sure. That's what I mean. Like, I think that they will surprise us.

Bonnie 16:23

Yeah. That's what that's what it's gonna be a crazy season.

SPEAKER_01 16:26

That's what I mean. Like, I'm overwhelmed, like, I don't even know what to think. Yeah, I'm so excited. And we we are seeing the mystics for the home opener. Or sorry, not the mystics, the sun. For the home opener. For some reason, I keep thinking it's mystics. The sun are another team on this list for rebuild and expansion. I don't know what the fuck they're doing over there. I feel like this is a fever dream season because what is going on over there? They're like getting into all kinds of crazy shit over there, just silly goofy stuff.

Bonnie 16:52

I know I haven't been able to watch the videos because every time I see them, I'm like in a meeting and I'm like, oh, I can't watch this right now.

SPEAKER_01 16:58

No, like it's giving not appropriate, like it's like and not inappropriate in that like they shouldn't be doing it, just like they're having a lot of fun. And I fear that's not appropriate for when I'm in a meeting, you know.

Bonnie 17:08

Right.

SPEAKER_01 17:09

Um, but I'm also just like, it's our last season in Connecticut, they're just doing literally whatever. Wouldn't it be hilarious if they won the whole thing?

Bonnie 17:17

That would be crazy.

SPEAKER_01 17:18

That would be fucking hilarious. I don't think it'll happen, but it would be funny.

Bonnie 17:22

Why can't I think of who's on the sun? I can only think of Sinai Rivers and Anisa Mara. Brittany Greiner. Brittany Greiner. She did the splits. KB. Brittany Greiner doing the splits was crazy. No, I know.

SPEAKER_01 17:32

Brittany Greiner splitting and then twerking was not on my bingo card. It was so crazy. I said, damn, I didn't even know she knew how to move like that. That's crazy.

Bonnie 17:40

Seriously, how did she get down so low?

SPEAKER_01 17:41

I mean, shout out to her though. Shout out to her. I mean, I don't know.

Bonnie 17:43

She's flexible, I guess.

SPEAKER_01 17:45

I'm gonna be honest, the fire? I don't know. I don't think I believe in them. I don't respectfully. Respectfully, I don't have a thought or opinion about them. To me, they're like a non-issue.

Bonnie 17:56

Oh, I think they're playing right now, actually.

SPEAKER_01 17:58

Oh, preseason?

Bonnie 18:00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 18:00

Yeah, I don't know. Maybe I'll tune in a little bit later in non-issue for me. Personally. Personally, I don't think they're gonna be a threat. But okay, but then you have the tempo, and I high key believe in the tempo.

Bonnie 18:15

I do too, because I believe in Sandy. I believe in the Sandy, I'm not sure. I believe in the Maybers.

SPEAKER_01 18:19

I believe in the Maybury sisters, Dara and Marina. I swear to God, they better both. I mean, well, Marina's on the roster, but they better keep Dara. They better keep Dara. I feel like they will. That would dude, that would be incredible. Well, speaking of the Maybury sisters, also kind of a tangent, but I'm pretty sure Michaela Maybrie resigned from coaching at Notre Dame. I saw her. Is she about to coach in Toronto? They're about to have a sister trio up, dude. They might as well hire the brother too. Wait, really? They might as well hire the brother too. I'm pretty sure Michaela's leaving Notre Dame.

Bonnie 18:47

Well, she's definitely leaving Notre Dame. Yeah. Is she going to Toronto?

SPEAKER_01 18:50

I don't know. That would be incredible though. Even if she's not a player. Like if she was coaching, that would be so fun.

Bonnie 18:54

That would be really fun.

SPEAKER_01 18:55

That would be so fun. It's a family business. Bring the fucking brother too.

Bonnie 18:58

Yeah, bring brother Mabry.

SPEAKER_01 18:59

Yeah, I so don't remember his name. But it's okay. We don't need to know his name.

Bonnie 19:05

Um Okay. Yeah. I mean, season starts in just over a week, about 10 days. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01 19:14

Home opener is going to be crazy. I have to remember my earplugs because I'm old. Okay. It gets really popping. It gets really popping in there.

Bonnie 19:23

Let's put should you set a reminder right now on your phone?

SPEAKER_01 19:26

Yeah, I should, right? Okay. Just remember the earplugs.

Bonnie 19:29

Well, actually. I'll text it to you.

SPEAKER_01 19:31

The f the reason why I started bringing them too was there was this lady who used to sit. I don't even think she was in our section, but like she was so fucking loud. And she was definitely Hispanic.

Bonnie 19:41

Told me about her.

SPEAKER_01 19:42

Yeah, she's the LIBERTE LIBERTE! But like voice travels.

Bonnie 19:48

That's amazing.

SPEAKER_01 19:49

Travels. Like, I don't think we heard her much last season, so maybe she didn't renew.

Bonnie 19:53

There used to be a woman that sat sat next to me in our section, and she was constantly yelling, like, did not take a breath. She's like, defense. And then like would switch to whatever fucking offensive cheer we were doing. And I was like, girl, you gotta take a sip of water or something.

SPEAKER_01 20:10

That is really stressful for me. That's like the guy in our section who starts the chance for pretty much the whole arena. He's got like a very unique voice, but I gotta tell you right now, I don't want to hear we all we got, we all we need this.

Bonnie 20:22

I don't want to hear that either.

SPEAKER_01 20:24

We're done. Let's move on.

Bonnie 20:26

I feel like it's a new chapter.

SPEAKER_01 20:28

That's what I mean. That's why low key gave me the ick last season because I'm just like, this ain't even the same team. And also, if I'm looking at the score, we're ass right now. We all we got, and clearly we need more. We need a little more. Yeah, clearly we need more than what we got. So, whatever, man.

Bonnie 20:46

I agree. Um did you want to what should we oh let's talk about?

SPEAKER_01 20:53

I think we can go right into like training camp if you want. Okay. Okay, so let's let's get into some more specifics with the preseason.

SPEAKER_02 21:03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01 21:04

What are your thoughts?

Bonnie 21:05

What have you seen? Okay, well, first I have to say I watched the Liberty game. And okay, Hanshu. Hanshu is back and she's new and improved. I see she was in MIDI's too. It was looking really good out there. She's gonna junk this season.

SPEAKER_01 21:22

That would be tough. That would be tough. And I feel like I mean, again, this is all kind of learned together, but I'm like, what are we gonna look like during the regular season when we have JJ Satu? Like, will we ever do small ball or is Hansu gonna be like a backup for JJ? Like, I'm just curious. Like, I just I'm ready to see it all because I don't have an inkling of what we'll look like.

Bonnie 21:45

It's gonna be interesting. I think there are mil multiple options, which is good.

SPEAKER_01 21:48

Yes, I agree.

Bonnie 21:50

Um, my other takeaway from our game is that all lesbians are obsessed with uh Annalie Maley. Is she gay? She's gay. Australian and gay.

SPEAKER_01 22:01

Okay, yeah. I did see the chatter on the Twitters and the threads. Um, and I was just like, what's going on here? What's going on? And people are in love. I actually saw a really funny tweet that was just like all the lesbians in New York are like asking a parent for it to keep a straight pet. They're like, Can we please keep her? Can we have her, please? And I'm just like, I I I I saw and I get it. I get it. But I I wasn't tracking before, but she put that street clothes on, you know, the regular clothes, no uniform. I get it.

Bonnie 22:31

Yeah. And honestly, I'd do pretty well.

SPEAKER_01 22:35

Yeah.

Bonnie 22:36

She did pretty well. I can't remember her stat line, but I I feel like we'll keep her. Why not?

SPEAKER_01 22:43

Are you hoping that we keep her? Or you want to keep her because of her basketball skills? Be honest. It's okay.

Bonnie 22:48

Both.

SPEAKER_01 22:48

Okay. You're like, whoa, the yeah. I mean, yeah. It's nice to have, you know, good-looking people to look at while you watch the games.

Bonnie 22:57

We're a good looking team.

SPEAKER_01 22:58

I'm not gonna, yeah, I'm not gonna lie. The Liberty?

Bonnie 23:00

We're kinda hot.

SPEAKER_01 23:01

Like, we're hot. Like, New York is the epicenter of hotness. And actually, I would really love to when the season starts and we have our final roster, I want to do that formula where we do the ratio of gay players to straight players and if the balance is still there, because then I think I can make a true prediction.

Bonnie 23:19

Yeah. I mean, Satu is I think Satu's gay. Is she gay?

SPEAKER_01 23:23

Um someone said that to me and I was just like, Are you sure? And they're like, No, yeah, she's gay.

Bonnie 23:27

Okay.

SPEAKER_01 23:28

But you know, I don't know. I can't confirm or deny personally.

Bonnie 23:31

I'm gonna look it up really quick. Um see if it ha if it shows us.

SPEAKER_01 23:36

Yeah, I'm like, geez, I'm like, who the fuck else is on our roster?

Bonnie 23:40

Right.

SPEAKER_01 23:41

Oh, we have we have Rebecca Gardner.

Bonnie 23:44

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01 23:44

And I she looked pretty good too.

Bonnie 23:46

She looks really good. Technically, she's on a training camp contract. So they better fucking keep her. Because I think she's a our hustle player.

SPEAKER_01 23:54

I think so too. And you always need one of those, especially because we lost KT. Yep. We lost KB.

Bonnie 24:00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01 24:01

Wow, that's actually really fucked.

Bonnie 24:03

I know. We didn't keep any of the case.

SPEAKER_01 24:06

But we're getting Benajaline Hamilton back. Shout out to B. Shout out to B. And what do we say? She would never lie to you. She would never lie to you. I knew she would never lie to you. She never lied to me. Oh my god, what a good friend. Friend of the pod, but Najalaney Hamilton. Friend of the pod. Or but Najalaney, maybe? I don't know. What? I don't know. Is she Laney or Laney Hamilton? I don't know.

Bonnie 24:24

I think she's Laney Hamilton. I think there's still that man in the picture.

SPEAKER_01 24:27

I guess. Alright, fine. That's fine. Um, yeah, I feel like I can't make any like I don't know. Like we said, it's just really unknown. I don't even fucking know who's a liberty, aside from like the starters.

Bonnie 24:41

There were a lot of people that I saw play that I'm like. I'm gonna be honest.

SPEAKER_01 24:46

I don't even know our coach's name still to this day. He's just Mr. Man still. I don't even know him.

Bonnie 24:51

Do me to tell you?

SPEAKER_01 24:52

Yeah.

Bonnie 24:52

Chris DeMarco.

SPEAKER_01 24:54

DeMarco. I was like in my head, De Luca. No.

Bonnie 24:57

You got the duh, right?

SPEAKER_01 24:58

I got the duh, yeah. Okay, yeah, sure. Okay. I know that, so I didn't get to watch the game because you know I had like a million fucking birthday activities this past weekend. Yeah, I have a lot of friends. Um, but I saw that our friends were complaining about how good the Liberty made Sophie Cunningham look during the game. And so after hearing that feedback, I decided I didn't need to watch.

Bonnie 25:25

Yeah, I mean, the first half the starters played, like and Stewie put the team on the back again. She went on like a 9-0 run at one point. Um and got the got us in the lead. But then same, kind of same with um Indiana, but their starters sat for most of the second half, and so did ours. And that's when they really took the lead.

SPEAKER_01 25:49

Well, which makes sense, right? Like respectfully, their starting five is not beating our starting five. Correct. And the I think biggest takeaway from this game is that Caitlin Clark is a construction worker, she only touches bricks. That's all she's got. She's got bricks for us. She's a fucking brick, she's a brick builder, a building builder. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. That's all she can do. Brick, brick, brick, brick. I think she sat like two for ten from three. She did.

Bonnie 26:16

I saw a post that was like Caitlin Clark's back.

SPEAKER_01 26:18

Yeah.

Bonnie 26:19

Two for ten.

SPEAKER_01 26:20

And you know what I you know what I really loved about that is that Brick Center is like a pretty popular like account on Twitter. And it just feels really good to see some of these like mainstream like NBA Twitter accounts acknowledging that she's ass. Yeah.

Bonnie 26:40

I mean, I'm still thinking about that time they compared her to uh Trey Young.

SPEAKER_01 26:47

Yep. Yeah, actually, I just see something recently. Do you know um like the setup? There's I don't know what the account is called, but there's like there were like these social media videos like going around where you have like people from the right debating with people from the left, and they were like taking turns in there on a timer. I saw a very similar setup of a video today, but it was about women's basketball, and it was an Indiana Fever fan, um, a white blonde woman, which I have a feeling that I know what her thoughts are, but then it was this uh black man, he's a creator, and he actually like has been on the W for a minute, but he was talking about how and I a hundred percent agree with his analysis. The thing about Caitlin Clark is that she does not instill fear in the defense, and that's how you that's kind of how you can determine whether or not someone is a star and is actually good. You have to be a player that instills fear in the defense that people are pressed, and the other woman's argument was well, people pick her up half court, and it's like that doesn't mean she's good, that just means we know she's finna launch the ball, right? And you have to get a contest, yeah. Like that to me doesn't have anything to do with her skill set because again, two for ten tells me that she's gonna chuck shots up and hope they go in. And you know what? I could do that, yeah, and I would have I would have the same stat line.

Bonnie 28:02

Same.

SPEAKER_01 28:03

That's what I mean. We could make we could make three-point shots if we shot enough of them.

Bonnie 28:06

I can make I can get a stat line of two for ten.

SPEAKER_01 28:08

Right, that's what I'm saying. It's not hard. So I think that was a really a really good assessment though, because then he uh again compared her to Trey Young and how the assist to turnover ratio is fucking insane. Like, yeah, Trey Young can make incredible plays, but he's not consistently making incredible plays. So that's like an issue for me. I I don't want like the random, like, oh, every once in a while, incredible shot, incredible.

Bonnie 28:34

Like, I need you to consistency is key.

SPEAKER_01 28:37

Yeah, and I also like need you to be at least, she's not a leader, like I don't know. There's just so many hooks, like she she can't dribble, she can only pull up from deep and not even hitting that consistently. And then Steph White had a presser where she was like, Yeah, well, you know, we just have to learn like how to play because we do play differently when she's on the floor, but it's like if the whole offense is being tailored around you and your skill set, which is essentially just a catch and shoot, and you still can't fucking do that well, what does that say about you? Right. Like you can only go left, yeah, and you can only shoot the ball. I probably could steal the ball from Caitlin Clark, the way they talk about her.

Bonnie 29:13

I mean, yeah, she's predictable. She's that's what I mean.

SPEAKER_01 29:16

Like she hasn't, it doesn't seem like she's really added anything to her bag, and that's a problem as a guard. Well, that's the thing. I'm not really sure because I don't follow her, but also like she was at uh Team USA's training camp.

Bonnie 29:32

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 29:33

And again, I'm just like there were like clips of Paige guarding her, and Paige locked that ass up. Like, so I'm just I don't know. I don't know. That's all this to say I was right the entire time.

Bonnie 29:45

Yep, Amanda was right, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 29:46

And that's and that's that on that separately. The one game I did get to watch was Seattle, and I think they played the Valkyries, yep, and I thought Flag looked so good, like the pull-up MIDI was so good.

Bonnie 30:01

She was really creating like a lot of shots for herself, and she looked like comfortable. Yeah, she's like, I've been here.

SPEAKER_01 30:08

Yeah, which I wonder how much playing time she'll get. But again, they don't have they don't have anyone, they don't have anyone.

Bonnie 30:14

Yeah, she's gonna be like a starting five, probably.

SPEAKER_01 30:18

I hope so. I think that'll be really cool for her, especially like she won't have to compete for that spot, and it'll give her like time to develop and work on her game if they're really not gonna make a title run this year.

Bonnie 30:28

During that game, I learned who Miela Sowa is on the Valkyries. Okay, she's an Australian rookie.

SPEAKER_01 30:36

Ozzy, Aussie, Ozzy.

Bonnie 30:37

Yep, never seen her before, but she had an amazing offensive game. She played It's a lot of Australians, I know, right? 20 Australians, I think, in the league, right? 20 Australians in the league. Wow.

SPEAKER_01 30:51

That's crazy. That's pretty good. Dang, that could have been you, Eliza. Still can. You know what? It could, but you wouldn't be tall, girl on the W.

Bonnie 31:00

No, you'd be mid.

SPEAKER_01 31:01

Oh my god, you'd be smaller than Sabrina.

unknown 31:03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 31:04

That's I mean, I mean, yeah. I mean, you are in fact smaller than Sabrina, but you would look so cute and small.

unknown 31:11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 31:11

Oh my gosh, short girl, sorry. You should try out. Yeah, just walk on.

Bonnie 31:18

Walk on.

SPEAKER_01 31:19

For the liberty? I think so.

Bonnie 31:21

Yeah, I think that's how it works.

SPEAKER_01 31:23

Maybe she can be part of the the practice squad.

Bonnie 31:25

We need to get some recruiters to the Bride League. Let's get them to the post.

SPEAKER_01 31:29

Yeah.

Bonnie 31:30

You don't have anywhere to sit, but uh That's okay.

SPEAKER_01 31:33

You can stand in the middle with the rest of the regular people. Anyway.

Bonnie 31:37

Yeah, so this girl, Soa, is her last name. She played 14 minutes, got 14 points, went five for six for her field uh goals, and four for four for threes.

SPEAKER_01 31:49

That's crazy. I'm just what are they feeding the people in Australia? Because it's giving it's giving how basically well, yeah. No, baseball that their whole thing is like they got all these facilities in the Dominican Republic because for some reason Dominicans can hit the fucking ball. I don't know. I don't I don't know I don't know how it works, but it's giving, it's giving there's about to be a basketball factory in Australia.

Bonnie 32:10

There might be correct.

SPEAKER_01 32:12

There might already, yeah, there might already be, because I'm pretty sure Dara Mabry was also playing in an Australian league and she was cooking up.

Bonnie 32:19

Well, okay, going back to Annalie Maley, yeah, apparently she scored like 65 points. She's Australian too, isn't she? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 32:26

Fuck. Yeah. Wow, that's crazy.

Bonnie 32:29

They're taking over, which is great. I kind of I love it. Well, you're biased. So I'm biased, but obviously. Yeah, I mean, but yeah, so there were some really surprising. I thought Raven like played really well defensively. She blocked there's this one rookie that we have on our team who's really short. I don't know who she is.

SPEAKER_01 32:47

Yes, she's like a teeny tiny girl.

Bonnie 32:50

A teeny I think she might be 5'3.

SPEAKER_01 32:52

She I'm taller than her.

Bonnie 32:53

I'm taller than her, teen.

SPEAKER_01 32:54

Yeah, we're taller. Who's tall girl now? Exactly. Yeah.

Bonnie 32:57

And Raven blocked the shit out of her like a couple two or three times.

SPEAKER_01 33:02

Raven is also kind of massive. She's like really tall.

Bonnie 33:05

She's taller than I think she is, right? Like on TV, she looks like 5'6.

SPEAKER_01 33:09

No, I think she's like six foot at least. You don't think Raven Johnson?

Bonnie 33:14

She's five nine. Okay, fine.

SPEAKER_01 33:16

Okay, fine.

Bonnie 33:17

I mean, but she looks shorter than like I would uh think that she's shorter than you. You're five nine? Yes.

SPEAKER_01 33:23

Damn. She's also taller than I thought. Sorry. I thought maybe like five's seven. Sorry. I just five nine? Wow. Tall girl.

Bonnie 33:33

She's tall. Dang, that's what she's gonna do. Join the league.

SPEAKER_01 33:37

Yeah, she's gonna.

Bonnie 33:38

Babe, I really want you to join the league.

SPEAKER_01 33:40

Yeah.

Bonnie 33:40

Alright, we're all petitioning. You heard it here first later.

SPEAKER_01 33:44

We can blow up uh Krista Marco's DMs. Yeah. Like, I got a tall girl for you.

Bonnie 33:48

We got someone for you.

SPEAKER_01 33:49

5'9 is not that short. That's actually taller than Sloot.

Bonnie 33:52

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 33:53

Sleot is 5'7. No, I'm pretty sure Sloot is 5'7. Oh my god, Eliza could guard Sloot.

Bonnie 34:01

Eliza can block the shit out of Sloot respectfully.

SPEAKER_01 34:05

Okay. Listen, I think we quit our jobs and we put all of our energy and effort. Getting Eliza into the case. Yeah, into training Eliza to get her into the league. And by training, I mean we're in the gym with her every day. Every day. Morning, waits, weights, weights, weights, weights, cardio, cardio, cardio. Just like that. Shots, shots. Yeah, shots, shots too. Shots two. Shots two. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Bonnie 34:27

You know who would help?

SPEAKER_01 34:29

Paul. Paul. Paul. And Ryan. And Ryan. And Ryan. Oh my gosh. Okay, yeah. We'll write this down. We'll write this down. We'll figure this plan out for later. All right. I love that we're doing this against her, will. We're just like, work, work, work.

Bonnie 34:43

We're forcing her to do it. Yeah. But she'll thank us in the end.

SPEAKER_01 34:46

She will, because she'll be making a lot of money with this new CBA.

Bonnie 34:50

And then we we get some of the we get some of the money.

SPEAKER_01 34:53

Yeah, because she's got to pay her team. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

Bonnie 34:56

I agree. Okay.

unknown 34:58

Okay.

Bonnie 34:59

Um, do you have anything else you want to say about the preseason?

SPEAKER_01 35:03

I don't think so. I guess other than the fact that Raven was more efficient than Caitlin, but we already need to. Agree.

Bonnie 35:10

I mean, I really, you know, I really wonder. I mean, Steph, Stephanie White has said, like, now we have options so like Caitlin can rest. But what's rest from what? What the fuck is she doing?

SPEAKER_01 35:24

If she does better than Caitlin, then the Indiana Fever fans are going to have meltdowns, is what's gonna happen.

Bonnie 35:29

Or maybe that's what they need.

SPEAKER_01 35:31

I mean, yeah. I mean, they're always having meltdowns. I mean, but who knows?

Bonnie 35:34

I want them to actually melt.

SPEAKER_01 35:35

I feel like it's possible that Caitlin. I'm not speaking this thing to existence, so I'm knocking on wood. I'm not saying that I want her to get injured, but it's giving, like, if I'm noticing a pattern, it's giving injury. It's giving injury.

Bonnie 35:48

It's giving Ben Simmons.

SPEAKER_01 35:50

It's giving Ben Simmons. Oh my gosh. And you know what? Not on the docket, but I will be discussing later. We will need to talk about Klay Thompson and Meg the Stallion because I I'm not even getting into it, but I'm sick. And and we'll talk about it more in a bit. Okay, so that was training camp. And so, Bonnie, I would love to hear from you during this next section. What tell me more about training camp contracts?

Bonnie 36:16

What is it time for? It's time for overtime. And this overtime, we're gonna explain training camp contracts. Um, we touched on it last up just slightly, but um, in short, you know, training camp contracts are non-guaranteed short-term, non-standard contracts. Players can which means players can be released before the regular season starts without the team owing the full value. So basically it's like a come to camp, compete, maybe make the team, you know. Um who signs them? We've got undrafted rookies, veterans on the fringe, overseas players trying to break into the league, and even some notable names fighting for final roster spots. So, like, like I mentioned ear earlier, Rebecca Gardner is on a training camp contract, but she's been in the league for quite some time now. And they all have this minimum salary structure. So if if the player does make the roster, it converts into a standard contract.

SPEAKER_01 37:17

And for rookies But that's like the final roster, right?

Bonnie 37:21

That's the main roster. That's the part of the 12.

SPEAKER_01 37:24

Okay, okay.

Bonnie 37:25

For rookies, if they make it through training camp and on the main roster, they get the minimum salary, which is 270. Okay. And that's for zero years of service. And a vet that's on training camp contract, that's they get their minimum salary, which is 277.

SPEAKER_01 37:42

So this is if they make the roster. Yep. Okay, okay.

Bonnie 37:48

Their salary during training training camp is prorated. So like if they get cut halfway through, they only get like that much. I don't really know how much that is, but it's like prorated.

SPEAKER_01 37:59

Okay, well, yeah, that makes sense. You get paid just for the time spent.

Bonnie 38:02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01 38:03

Okay.

Bonnie 38:04

Um the training camp players, they don't count towards salary camp during the training camp window. That's why we see a lot of teams with a lot of people signed to training camp, which makes it like super heartbreaking to see all these people cut. Um some teams have camps that are 20 plus players, which means like most of them won't make it. And uh a tidbit from earlier that I heard from a producer is that the Aces are the only team that have 13 players on the training camp roster. Becky know what she's doing. I know. But I wonder then what they're gonna do with their two development spots. Well, I wonder if they've cut one, then they only have the main roster. Well, yeah, but then I wonder like 14. Oh, sorry, they have 14.

SPEAKER_01 38:52

What's but it's 12 roster spots though, and two developmental spots.

Bonnie 38:56

Exactly. So they have 14 spots total, basically.

SPEAKER_01 38:59

So then I guess I wonder too, like, not a in my opinion, not a bad move by the Aces to have under the 14 players max, because then you gotta wonder, like, all the players that get cut from these other rosters, like, will be right for the pick in, right? And then you didn't have to invest the money in them during training camp, but then you also have an opportunity to see what they're capable of if they played preseason minutes. Yeah. And so they kind of have like a Rolodex of options if that's the case.

Bonnie 39:27

Yeah, you're talking about other teams? Yeah, yeah. Which that leads me to my next point, which um is this limited exclusivity of uh it's a 14-day rule. This is if you make it to a developmental player spot. The team has 14 days to sign you to the main roster, but that can be any team, right? So like say I don't know who Annalene Maley is signed to the developmental spot, but like Sky's like Chicago Sky's like I want her, then the Liberty has 24 hours to match, and they get they get the right of first refusal. But if they don't promote that player and give them a contract, they lose them.

SPEAKER_01 40:14

So which I think is fair, and I also I kind of like this idea of developmental spots too because it gives teams a little bit more flexibility, yeah. And I don't know, sometimes like Jalen Sherrod would have been on a developmental contract for a sign-up. Yeah. Oh, I guess Jalen might actually still be with Minnesota.

Bonnie 40:32

I think she might.

SPEAKER_01 40:33

So maybe maybe she'll start over Olivia Miles. Uh I don't know, probably not. Olivia Miles will probably start over Jalen. Yeah, I think because she's Olivia Miles.

Bonnie 40:42

Yeah, I think she's still with Minnesota right now, but we'll see.

SPEAKER_01 40:46

Yeah, you don't invest a number two pick and then not play them.

Bonnie 40:50

So basically that's like the rundown and the rules and sort of the minutiae of training camp and the contracts that go with it. But in conclusion, I just wanted to say this in summary that the WNBA draft is a celebration, but training camp, that's really the reality check.

SPEAKER_01 41:09

Dang. Poetry.

Bonnie 41:12

Like we hype draft night, but like it's the finish line, you know, it's like a whole moment.

SPEAKER_01 41:17

Can you do this like slam poetry?

Bonnie 41:18

No, I cannot do it. Oh, sorry, I'm sorry. Draft night's a whole moment, names are getting called, they've got the hats, but in the W getting drafted doesn't mean you like shit, which is crazy. Isn't that crazy?

SPEAKER_01 41:33

It just means you guys it's like not funny, but it's like crazy because it's like dang, like wow, I put the hat on, I got drafted incredible, and then you might not make the roster.

Bonnie 41:42

So the W, I think we've talked we've talked about this before, but the W doesn't have a talent problem, it has a space problem because like you've got the league overflowing with high-level players, which include the college stars, international stars, and Olympians, and then you think about the roster math, they only have 12 spots per team, that's it. So when training camp opens, you're not watching fringe players battle out, you're watching like legitimately good talent fight for like maybe two, three real openings. It's crazy.

SPEAKER_01 42:13

Which which makes me think of Emma Misaman isn't signed either, right? Right. That's crazy. But I mean, maybe they didn't like what they saw last season because I should have been. It was like a whole thing, right? And and Cheryl, Cheryl was like, she picked the wrong team, and then Cheryl didn't even pick it up. Which is crazy because they have like five dollars and a you know, a little lint.

Bonnie 42:37

Yeah. So at the end of all this, training camp has really become like the league's pressure valve. It's where all the excess talent goes to compete and where some of it gets squeezed out. So yeah, the draft is the dream. But training camp, that's the part nobody talks about.

SPEAKER_02 42:55

Damn. That was good.

Bonnie 42:57

And that's where we the league act decides who belongs and who doesn't. And this year, maybe the fiercest competition yet.

SPEAKER_01 43:04

Wow, incredible, incredible. Thank you so much, Amy Polar. So okay. I do I need some guidance from you, Bonnie, because I have a couple things I want to talk about, but I feel like I can't really have two 24 seconds. I mean, could I?

Bonnie 43:21

I it's our podcast.

SPEAKER_01 43:23

I mean it is our podcast. I guess I could do that. Yeah.

Bonnie 43:27

But you only get 24 per topic. So then I can't say anything else. Can you respond?

SPEAKER_01 43:33

We've never established these rules.

Bonnie 43:34

We haven't. Um it's just me. Yeah, it's just your segment. Fuck. Okay. All right. Okay, but do you know what you Yes?

SPEAKER_01 43:43

Okay. For my first 24 seconds, I would like to cover Clay Thompson and Megan the Stallion.

Bonnie 43:52

Okay, okay. Let me pull up the stopwatch.

SPEAKER_01 43:55

The glasses are coming off.

Bonnie 43:56

The glasses are off.

SPEAKER_01 43:57

I really have to lock in. Okay. I'm just gathering my thoughts here because I have a lot of them. And so I'm like, how do I pick the best ones? Okay. Are you ready, Bonnie? I'm ready. 24 seconds on the clock, starting now. I cannot fucking believe that a man who looks like Klay Thompson will fumble one of the most beautiful women on the planet and Megan the Stallion. And I keep seeing commentary from really toxic men saying that, well, what do you think? He's an NBA player. He's Klay Thompson. He's busted. Megan deserves so much better than that. And I don't want to hear shit about Tori Lanez. I want to hear nothing. Because he had her around his family, cooking, cleaning, doing everything for him. She threw a birthday for him. There's so much I could say about it. I just, men are trash. Men are trash is really it.

Bonnie 44:45

So yeah.

SPEAKER_01 44:47

Oh my god, I'm sick. I'm sick. If I ever see him on these streets, I'm biting his ankles.

Bonnie 44:52

I'm biting his ankles too.

SPEAKER_01 44:53

I'm biting his ankles. I might tackle him and then still bite his ankles. Oh my god. Okay.

Bonnie 44:59

Um did you see the clip of her? Because you know she's doing Moulin Rouge right now. Yeah. The finale.

SPEAKER_01 45:05

Oh my god, and she teared up at the standing elevation.

Bonnie 45:09

Heartbreaking. But everyone was like, we love. I hope she felt the love because everyone was like, we fucking love you. We're on Team Megan, obviously.

SPEAKER_01 45:17

The one the one last thing I'll say about it that isn't really like my feelings specifically about Clay. I feel like everyone's really like stuck on this though, because it's not really about two celebrities. It's about the fact that you could be the most beautiful woman in the on the fucking planet. You could do right by your partner, and a man will still treat you with disrespect and like trash.

Bonnie 45:37

And I want all the straight women out there to listen to this and then think about what the fuck are you doing?

SPEAKER_01 45:43

Yeah. Honestly, think about it because it's just really, it's just so crazy. I feel like I hear all of these horror stories about straight people and dating, particularly women, and it's like the bare minimum is they're like, wow, like they he asked me about my day. Hello? Hello? I don't like I feel like lesbians don't even ask about the day because I already know. Right. I already know how the day went. I know how I'm manifesting it to go for my wife. You know what I mean? Like it's just like it's I don't know. Like, like you're actively looking for ways to make their day better and easier. But a man could never. Could never. A man could never could be. It's just really insane. Okay. And then I have a second 24-second shot clock.

Bonnie 46:33

Let me get it back up.

SPEAKER_01 46:33

Okay, thank you so much. Alright, let me know when you're ready. This one is about Shaq and Coach Jackie, and the glasses are coming back on for this so that I can, in fact, see how much time I have. Yes. Buckle up. This one I think is gonna be hard to do 24 seconds because it's a it's a twofer, but that's okay.

Bonnie 46:49

Okay. But I could let it sign this time.

SPEAKER_01 46:52

I accept the challenge.

Bonnie 46:53

Alright, here we go. 24 seconds on the clock, starting now.

SPEAKER_01 46:58

Stephen A. Smith is fucking disgusting. He sexually harassed Chine Ogumake on the live air, saying that her speaking in French really turned him on. Why the fuck would you ever say that? And Coach Jackie, as is within her right, made a video about it and how it was inappropriate and how it was sexual harassment. And Shaq was in her comments talking about some get a real job, lady. What the fuck are you talking about, Shaq? Because you're just as gross as Stephen A. Smith, talking about people will only watch the W if they was in booty shorts and the ribs were lower.

Bonnie 47:23

Whoa. What a fucking dick. He's like in his 50s. How about you act like that? Someone needs to revoke his Papa John's CEO.

SPEAKER_01 47:34

I think Coach Jackie masterclass and how she responded to him and was just like. What did she say? She essentially broke down why being a content creator covering this kind of stuff is actually her real job, and then pretty much read him for filth for all of the bullshit partnerships that he's done. Like he's done a movie that no one gave a fuck about. Also, like he spent his whole career really committing to the bit of not wanting to learn how to shoot foul shots. He was like a consistent like 52% his entire career, didn't give a fuck. Like this was back when there was like zero expectations of big men other than to like get the fucking ball off the rebound. Like otherwise, like I feel like the game has really it's really changed. I mean, even if you look at JJ, like yeah, JJ's a center. She she flinging that bitch, she's swishing it. Like she's a three-point shooter. She probably she's probably more consistent than Sabrina last season. Like, if we're being honest.

Bonnie 48:23

Honestly.

SPEAKER_01 48:24

It's just, it's just crazy. I don't know. I think the takeaway from 24 second shot clock, both of them today, is that men are trash. I agree. A man could never could never what? Just they could never do anything. They can never do anything. Nothing right. Nothing. They're just they I don't know why they exist. They're just here to like cause trouble and and pain. I don't know.

Bonnie 48:46

Yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_01 48:47

They're too emotional.

Bonnie 48:49

100%. Yeah. All all of men need therapy. Anyway, that's all we got today, right? Like today.

SPEAKER_01 48:56

I can't spend any more airtime on these trashy men. So we'll be back next week with another episode of Chasing Chasing the W.
