Well, hey, friend. Welcome back to Grace in the Breaking. I am so excited that you are here with me today because I woke up with something in my heart that I cannot shake. And I knew the second that I opened my eyes, this is the message. Baby, this is the word. Today we're gonna talk about playing it big. Not big for the sake of big, but because the world says you need a bigger platform or a bigger bank account or a bigger name. No, I'm talking about going all in for the Lord. I'm talking about stepping fully. I'm talking about doing it all completely, unapologetically into what he has called you to do. Baby, no more standing on the edge, no more dipping your toe in. Today, today we go all in. But before we get into it, I need to tell you I am wearing one of my new designs from Grace in the Breaking Shop, and I put it on this morning as an act of declaration. Because here's the thing, when you wear your faith, you're not just wearing a shirt. You are making a statement to the enemy, to your flesh, to anybody watching, that you belong to God and that you are not ashamed of it. So wear your faith proudly, friend, let it be a billboard for what God is doing in your life. So baby, let's get into it. When you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, that is where we're starting from today. I want to talk to the man or the woman who right now is exhausted. Not tired in the body, but tired in the spirit. Tired of playing small, tired of shrinking yourself down so that other people feel comfortable. Tired of holding back the fullness of who God created you to be just because it's the safer way. Because it's the easier way, the less risky way. Can I tell you something? When you get sick and tired of being sick and tired, baby, that is not a breakdown. That is a breakthrough trying to happen. That frustration you feel, it's real. That restlessness in your spirit, that is the Holy Spirit shaking you awake. That is God saying, I did not save you, I did not deliver you, and I did not bring you through everything that you have survived, just so you can sit quietly in the back and play small for the rest of your life. No, ma'am, no, sir. He brought you through the fire so that you could rise out of it different. So that you could rise out of the fire with him inside of you. So today, right now I want you to make a decision not tomorrow, not when things calm down, and not when you feel ready. Today, today you quit playing it small. I know it feels like that you want to stay living small. Listen, I lived it for years. I know what it's like to have a purpose stirring inside of you and to keep pushing it down because it feels safer to just keep it quiet. It feels safer to let other people take up the room. It feels safer to stay in the background so that nobody can criticize you, so that you don't experience any more rejection and nobody can watch you fail. But I'm gonna tell you something. Safe, honey, safe is not the same thing as obedient. Safe is not the same thing as being free. I had to learn the hard way through breaking, through loss, through seasons I would have never ever chosen for myself. And on the other side of it all, God did not hand me back a smaller version of who I was before. No, he handed me back something bigger, something bolder, someone who finally understood that playing small was never actually protecting me. It was simply delaying me, and that is going to be your story too. So sit down and buckle up and let's get going. I want to ask you something real plain. What has playing you small cost you so far? I want you to really resonate that, sit with that and ponder it. How many years, how many opportunities, how many people who needed exactly what you carry have missed because you felt safer playing it small than being obedient? I'm not asking this to shame you, friend, no, quite the opposite. I'm asking you because today is the day that the pattern breaks. Today is the day that we name it, we renounce it, and we stop negotiating with fear and start negotiating with faith instead. Second Timothy one seven tells us that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I need you to hear that again. Fear was never given to you by God. It was never supposed to be the thing steering every decision you make. What he gave you was power. What he gave you was love. What he gave you was a sound mind, clear enough to know the difference between a lie that's been keeping you playing small and the truth of who you actually are in him. Baby, I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again. It is time to rise and take the authority that God has given you because the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of you. Here's what I know to be true. You have an authority that was given to you the moment God sent you here. Not authority that was earned, not authority that you worked up in your own strength, authority that was given to you because he sent you. And everywhere he sends you, he backs you. So start walking into the room like he sent you because baby doll, he did. Luke chapter 10 tells us that Jesus gave his followers authority over the power of the enemy, and nothing would harm them. That authority was not just for this disciple standing there two thousand years ago. It belongs to you right now, right here, today, in whatever room you are standing in. Do you hear me? That means it's time to rise and take the authority over your life. It's time to let God lead. I mean really lead. Not just be a suggestion you check in with when it's convenient, but the actual authority over every single decision, every direction, and every single door that you walk through, every thought that comes in as a contemplation, you take it to God because it is time, my sister, it is time, my brother, to step into your calling. Whatever that looks like, and listen, I don't know what your calling looks like. Some of you it's ministry, some of you it's business, and some of you it's being the mother who stands up and breaks a generational cycle in her home so her children grow up whole. For some of you it's a dream you haven't even said out loud because you're scared of what it would cost you to actually go after it. Whatever it is, whatever the case, it's time. And here's the piece a lot of us skip past. It's time to let the past stay there. In the past where it belongs. Paul said this way in Philippians three, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. Listen, we don't pretend the past didn't happen. We don't deny the pain of it, but we refuse to build our home in it anymore. Isaiah forty three tells us not to remember the former things because God is doing a new thing. Can you not see it springing up yet? He's already doing it even if you can't see it in the natural yet. It's happening in the spirit realm. Because so many of us, we surrender, we get delivered, and we heal. And then this is the part that matters, we don't stay there. We build a house in our healing and move in permanently and stop. We heal so that we get to go back into the fire, not to be burned again, but to bring others out. Do you see there is purpose? That is the whole point. Your healing was never meant just for you. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It was so you can stand in the gap for someone who is stuck exactly where you used to be. You have a voice that has been waiting to be used. Right now, today, someone needs to hear your testimony. Somebody needs to see you walking in freedom so that they know that it is possible for them to. You are being watched whether you know it or not. So walk with integrity. I want you to think about it this way. Somewhere out there is a woman living in the exact life you used to live. Sitting in the exact pit you climbed out of. And she is telling herself the exact lies that you used to believe about being too broken or too far gone or too much of a mess for God to use. And the only thing standing between her and freedom might be you finally opening your mouth. Not for a perfect testimony, none of us have that. Not for a polis, edited, camera ready version of your story. No. Just you getting honest and telling the truth about what God really brought you through. That, my friend, is what taking authority back in your life actually looks like. It's not standing on a stage with a microphone necessarily. Sometimes it's just a text message to a friend who's struggling. Sometimes it's finally saying yes to the thing you've been putting off for two years. Sometimes it's simply refusing on a random Tuesday to let shame talk you out of showing up for who you actually are. Because authority already given you instead of constantly asking permission to take up the space that you already have the right to occupy. Remember Esther? Maybe Mordecai told her that maybe she was placed exactly where she was for a time such as this, friend. That's biblical, and maybe that is you too. You weren't placed in this exact season right now with the exact story by accident. You're not listening to this podcast by accident. You're here right now for a time such as this. There is no coincidence. It's all God. I want to ask you something. I want you to actually sit with it instead of rushing past it. There was a dream you once had. We've all had 'em. Maybe it was years ago and maybe maybe it feels like it belongs to a completely different season of your life. A completely different version of you. But somewhere along the way, that dream slipped right through your fingers. Let me ask you this. What did the enemy whisper to you to make you quit? Was it you're not qualified? Was it you already tried that and it didn't work? Or who do you think you are? Was it too late for you now? Was it you'll fail and everyone will see? I need to remind you, I say it every episode. The devil is a liar. Take those thoughts captive. But whatever was whispered to you today or in the past, we call it back. Out loud, in the car, in the kitchen, on your knees, we call that dream back right now in Jesus' name. And we walk and we do not back down. We do not quit. We move in God given authority that we have because He sent us. And I want to remind you plainly, the past is just that. The past. Stop replaying it. Stop rethinking every single decision and stop wondering what if, because here's the truth, no amount of thinking will change what happened yesterday, not one second of it. So turn your attention today to the now. What does God have for you next and you need to start moving toward it? I want to remind you that you don't need the whole framework laid out before you take the first step. Your job is not to have it all figured out, your job is to simply move. Get up and move. And here is a promise that I need you to hold on to as you move. Clarity will come. You hear me? Clarity will come. It doesn't come before you move, it comes as you are walking. God usually doesn't show you ten steps before you take the first one. He shows you the next step and then the next step, and then the clarity unfolds your feet as you move. You don't grow weary in doing good, because in due time you will reap if you do not give up. We just talked about how many of us stop right before the breakthrough happens. You gotta keep going because that is not just a nice phrase, that comes straight out of Galatians six. It is a promise from the word that holds even when you don't feel a single ounce of progress. Keep moving, keep going forward, do not quit. I want you to sit with the dream for just a second longer. The one that slipped through your fingers, the one that the Holy Spirit is prompting back into your mind. Maybe it was starting a business shucks, maybe it was writing a book, or maybe or just maybe it was the ministry you felt called to years ago, and then life and disappointment and other people's opinions talked you out of it. Maybe it was simply believing that your life could look different than the pain that you were handed. Here's what I'm here to remind you of today and to make you understand. God, he does not waste dreams. If he planted it in you, it did not expire because the time passed. It did not expire because you took a detour. It did not expire because someone told you it was unrealistic or because you tried it once and it didn't work out the way you thought. Delayed is not denied. And a dream that gets surrendered back to God and picked back up in obedience often comes back bigger, wiser, and more anointed than it would have the first time around. Because now it's not just a dream anymore. It's the fire that's driving you, and it carries the weight, the oil of everything that you survived. Joel chapter two says God will restore the years the locusts have eaten. Joel two twenty five. Whatever was stolen from you, the time, the opportunity, the confidence, the version of you that you thought you lost, he is in the business of restoring it, and often he gives back way more than what was taken. So call it back. Say it out loud. God, I am calling that dream back in Jesus' name. I am done, devil, letting it sit buried under fear and disappointment. I want it back. I want to walk in it your way, your timing, and for your glory. Honey, you gotta name it. You gotta call it, and then you better start naming what is holding you back. Cause I'm gonna go somewhere real honest for just a moment. What is holding you back? What is keeping you small? I don't want you to just think about it. I need you to name it out loud right now, right here, wherever you're listening to this, whether it's in your car, your walk, or in your kitchen, say it out loud right now. Is it fear? Is it shame from something in the past or is it words somebody spoke over you years ago that you've never let go? Or is it a comparison because I want to remind you that comparison kills? Is it a lie that you started believing about who you are and what you're capable of? Baby, name it out loud, because we're about to break it. First Peter chapter two calls you a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, his own special people. Whatever the lie is you just named out loud, it is not the final word of who you are. Lord, we name it, we renounce it, and we call it back to hell where it belongs in the mighty name of Jesus. Take your mind back right now in Jesus' name. That thought pattern, that lie, that identity is not who God says you are. And baby, you are not carrying it one more day. I know you don't feel ready, and I want to be honest with you. Most of us never feel ready, but that is not a sign that you're doing it wrong. That's exactly where faith comes in. Faith isn't required when you feel ready, equipped, and certain. Faith? Faith is required in the gap. It's not in the ready, it's not in the I don't know. It's in the not sure. So just start and remember this Holy Spirit dwells inside of you, so just start moving. Go all in for once in your life and watch what he does with your yes. That's the part I want you to hear today. Your yes matters more than your readiness. God can do so much with a shaky, imperfect yes. He cannot do much with a no. And as you go, ask him to perfect that which concerns you. Ask him to yank out everything in you that is not of him. You have to take every thought captive and surrender it to him. Not once, not just today. This is a daily posture. Every single day you gotta take those thoughts captive, surrender them, and then just start again. Second Corinthians 10 tells us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. That is not a suggestion. That's a command with a promise wrapped inside of it. Do you not see that? It means that every thought that does not line up with who God says you are gets stopped at the door. It's not discussed, it gets stopped. It doesn't get to walk freely through your mind and set up camp anymore. It is evicted. That campground has now closed in Jesus' name. Make it a depth of glory and a heart pulling with everything you've got for Jesus. That's what going all in looks like. Not perfection, not polished. Just fully surrendered and keep it fully moving. And can I tell you something about the lie you just named? It's been so loud in your life because you let it go unchallenged. Lies don't lose their grip because you ignore them. They lose their grip when you drag them out into the light and call. Call them out for what they are, lies, not truth, not a life sentence, not a permanent identity, just a lie that has overstayed its welcome. And today it has officially been evicted in Jesus' name. This, this is why renouncing it out loud matters so much. There is something in the spiritual realm that when you stop just thinking about something and you actually speak it, your words they carry weight. There is power of life in your death, and your tongue so speak life. Don't just think about letting go of what's held you back. You better say it. I renounce that lie that I am too broken to be used. I renounce that lie that it is too late for me. I renounce the fear that has kept me playing small, and I take my mind right back today in the name of Jesus. And once you have renounced it, don't just sit there in the quiet afterwards waiting to feel different. You better move. Movement is the proof of the surrender. You'll wait to feel brave before you take the first step. You take it, and the courage catches up with you somewhere along the way. That has been true in my life more times than I can even count. I didn't feel ready when I started gracing the breaking. I didn't feel qualified. I didn't know how it was going to come about or what it was going to do. I felt like a woman standing in the wreckage of her own story and wondering, how in the world is God going to use all of this? But I'm going to tell you something. He made me so uncomfortable that where I was, I knew I couldn't stay. I just had to take that leap. And I started anyway, one obedient step at a time, and he has been faithful to build something out of it that I never could have built in my own strength, and he will do the same for you with your yes. God is no respecter of persons. What he does for one, he will do for all. But the common denominator is your yes, your step forward. And I need to tell you something, baby. You do not have to walk this alone. Here's what I know. Decisions like the one I'm asking you to make today to rise to take authority and step into your calling, they get so much lighter when you are not carrying it by yourself. Baby, you better name what's holding you back. You better renounce it right now in Jesus' name. Take back your mind and watch him move. I know you don't feel ready, and that's okay. That's exactly where faith lives. So just start. Go all in and watch what he does with your yes. So, Father, I pray right now over every man and woman listening to this. Pull them forward out of being small and into the fullness of who you made them to be. Perfect that which concerns them, O Lord, and yank out anything and everything that is not of you. Help us to take captive every thought and surrender it fully to you. Give us back the courage to just start. Even when we don't feel ready, Lord, give us the push because you are with us every single step. In Jesus' name.
