SPEAKER_01

What's up, Lorconic Crew? It's Nick G and Josh D back again. This is this is a record. I think it's what two times in the booth in five days or so?

SPEAKER_00

Hey, man. The people won it, the people are gonna get it.

SPEAKER_01

That is a fact. That is a fact. So uh what is on the agenda for today? Well, um, as most of you know, uh, pre-release is on the horizon for some attack of the vine. Um that's uh this weekend for those that are unaware. Um it should be a lot of fun. Um, hopefully prices are normal-ish and you can actually find product. But that's that's to be seen. But we're gonna talk about everything pre-release. Um, but first, I have a wonderful quick question for you today, Josh.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think it's quick, but fire away. Let's go.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, my question is what are you most excited for in the future of Lorcana? So look past Attack of the Vine, look past this weekend at Disneyland. What are you most excited for in the future?

SPEAKER_00

So there has been a cycle of Lorcana that has shown itself between the past rotations, and I'm very excited for the very end of this rotation.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, and in terms and you're saying the rotation that we have um like starting now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes. So uh I so from the past rotations and uh and what has transpired recently, there is a window of time, which is right now, where everyone is cooking and brewing and finding the new meta, which I love. And then and then at the end of the meta, all the colors are a viable, playable color deck. So I'm happy right now. I'm happy right now. Everyone's brewing, everything is up in the air, you know. Early 5k tournaments are are are firing off on Play Hub and on Facebook and on all these different things, and everyone's excited to stake their claim as the smartest player in Lorcana. And and in the next coming months, everyone's gonna revert to the decks that won those first few tournaments, and it probably won't change. Uh, I know sets will release new cards, things will change minutely, but by the end of rotation, I'm very excited. Just like we just had where you had blue-green viable, red, purple viable, red, blue shark, uh dogs, uh green blue, everything is up in everything is viable. So I love when I love at the beginning when everything is super testable and playable, and then at the end, where everything is up in the air and no one knows, oh well, who's my pairing? Who's who am I playing against? I don't know. What's the meta for this specific town? It's it's I'm excited for that. I'm excited for that. I'm excited now, and I'm excited for the future.

SPEAKER_01

That's that's a great answer. That's a a roundabout way to get there, but yeah, I I like that answer a lot. Uh because you know, everyone is trying to stake their claim on Facebook and dream born there's a billion likes on one deck and zero negative five on another, and everyone's being like, Oh my gosh, uh the potato is the best card, right?

SPEAKER_00

And so it's I'm gonna win the potato, and I'm gonna be potato.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yeah, yeah. And you know, in the future, like you said, it we really get that power level equalizer, right? I think everybody is pretty much in agreement that amber is the best color. Um, and so kind of figuring out later down the line what that looks like. And uh, you've got a lot of fun sets to looking at looking forward to uh in the next uh coming months here. Um and we are in a pretty unique time, too, right? Because there aren't really any more DLCs. Um, you have nationals coming up here in August, but other than that, it's there's no real big tournaments to see results from. Like we're we've kind of hit that lull where people can just brew, and all they're doing is brewing and taking it to locals and seeing if it works. And you've got some 5K's and some ink inks and things like that, but nothing major until the end of August.

SPEAKER_00

Eight inks are only at 100 players for this one as well, so it's not that big.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So yeah, hopefully um the the future is bright, right? I think uh we had a little bit of scare there with a lot of collectors and scalpers coming in, but I think it's proved that you know, um, as long as people can still find product, we'll see. But um things are looking looking bright.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm I'm excited for it. I'm I'm I'm I've secured my product through different LGSs that I luckily have been able to frequent and constantly support, and they have supported me. And I think as any player knows, that if you frequent and support an LGS, they will hopefully reciprocate. So yeah, we were lucky enough to have that for us.

SPEAKER_01

That's wonderful news. Uh all right, so uh as we mentioned up at the top, it is Attack of the Vine pre-release season. And as with is the new standard now, I suppose, uh, we are gonna get pre-release kits. And so uh today we kind of want to talk about all things pre-release and limited, right? Um a lot of the a lot of your stores might be running just early a pre-release event where it's just a sealed event, it's six packs, you open them, you build a deck, and you call it a day. Others may be running draft. Um, I know uh that was something we used to do a lot of.

SPEAKER_00

Um love draft.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, good times. But uh, I guess my my question to you is can you please give us just a little bit of uh some insight? If this was my first pre-release and I sit down, I pay my my $35, I open up my box, right? Um, and then I open up all my packs. What should I be looking for to actually do well in the pre-release? And I'd like to preface this first with your number one goal should always be to have fun, right? It's a brand new set, nobody knows what the heck they're doing, right?

SPEAKER_00

So you shouldn't be putting this massive on yourself to the other thing. If they say they know what they're doing, they're lying.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So you should always have fun, but after that, give us a rundown of what you're looking for when you open your pre-release boxes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so there's two modes that uh that I that happen. You either open all your packs, or as someone who prefers to draft, or someone who doesn't like to be overwhelmed or can get overthinky, you open a pack, pick one card, if that is how you like to do it. I like to do it that way. I open my first pack and I pick one out of that pack and I move to the next pack, and then I move forward from there. However, what we're looking for is first and foremost, evasive cards are the first thing you want to see. If you can include any evasive card that you open, if you open all six packs and you have five evasives, include almost all of them unless they're extremely poorly stated. If you're looking at a expensive and unenkable, yep. But other than that, grab the evasives first. That's the first lineup. You gotta put 35 cards. Nope, sealed, so 40. 35 is draft. Sorry, sorry, my apologies. But first things first, grab those evasives, put those in. Then after that, you're gonna look for one drops, no more than seven. Find your one drops, pick your one drops, put them off to the side, get your seven one drops, then pick the most impactful cards that you can think of, pick your uninkables. Pick your uninkables, pick your seven to six that are really very, very strong. Big effects, warded, quests a lot, has like draw and discard, um, something along those lines. Pick those seven. And then so you have your one-drops, you have your bombs, you have your evasives, and then after you're looking at that, you've got seven, seven, fourteen, maybe let's just say five evasives. You got 1920 cards. Now you're looking at four 30 cards uh 20 more to pick. Find your curve. No, one. You've already sorted out that one drop curve. You're out, you're good. And then you're looking at those uninkables and those evasives. Are they three drops? Are they four drops? Are they five drops? If they are heavy five, six, pick your three, fours, and twos. And you just want to find a nice, steady. I can play this characters and actions that are primarily removal and actions, or some sort of heal support combat trick that you can put in, but primarily one drops, uninkables, evasives, removal, still in the slots from there. Bread. I know there's something about a bread. I've heard bread. What is that? What is that?

SPEAKER_01

Bread is yeah, bread is pretty popular. Uh, that's the bombs, so your big creatures that are in the game, removal. Uh that's pretty self-explanatory. Um, you've got your evasion, so in this case, it's evasives and things like that. Um I don't know what the A and the D are. They're add, they're additional stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so that is that's that's a good, that's a good uh a good little uh primer on what you should be picking for for when you open all of your packs and they're sitting down. Um it will be overwhelming at first, right? Uh what I like to do is I like to sort all my cards by their cost, right? And go, okay, I know I need to have a couple one drops between you know five and seven one drops to make sure that I can do something on turn one. That's pretty self-explanatory. But then I'm also looking for some incidental synergies, right? Um, this set in particular, um, you have team up cards, right? So did you get any team up cards that pair with any of your one-drops or any of your other cards, right? Look for those uh kind of shells that you can kind of jam in there, right?

SPEAKER_00

And just remember, do you get Peter Pan and Tinkerbell? Well uh add all the Peter Pan Tinkerbells you got.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. And you just have to remember, right? This is sealed. So in theory, nobody's gonna be playing a constructed quality deck that's gonna run you off the rails, right? You can take a little liberties and jam in your favorite like Kevin play, right? You can do that, right? Potato shift might not actually be that bad in this in this format, right? So you can take your liberties.

SPEAKER_00

Or not shift targets, but shifts, hey. Yep. Yeah, go for it. Yeah, go for it.

SPEAKER_01

Things like that, definitely. Uh take your time, you know, think it out, and it'll be it'll be fine.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so if I may say, if I may say, I, if you like to organize all your cards by cost, I can get a little overwhelmed when I open all of them and I start organizing, and then I have my piles, and my piles are all uh disorganized, and someone asks me a question, then I'm halfway through organizing my piles. I prefer opening one pack, picking a card that excites me, putting off to the side. Go through all six packs, pick six picks from each one, then organize. So there's a different different ways you can approach it, but both are very valid. If you're someone who gets interrupted and is a talker, probably don't open all of them at once and just pick one. But if people kind of let you let you vibe and leave you alone, open all them up. But to me, I get questions right off the rip. Uh is this card good?

SPEAKER_01

Hey, should I play the potato? Okay. Let me let me sort things out and we'll we'll get to you in a second.

SPEAKER_00

That's what happens, dude. It happens every time, and then someone's like, I've never drafted, I've never played sealed, and then everyone in the whole room looks at them and looks at me and goes, There's a seat right next to Josh. And I love it. I will say I love it. I love helping people. I love it. I I enjoy it so so much, and I have adapted my own sealed uh patterns that allow for people to ask millions of questions. And yeah, what if I what if I shift my Mickey and Mini and they get banished? Do they go to the discard? Do they go to the Ink? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll we'll throw that out. And my deck's already built. It's been five minutes, gone. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So if you're a beginner, please take those tips to heart. Um, but let's move into the limited environment as a whole for uh Attack of the Vine. Um, and I have a couple notes written down here that I kind of want to get your thoughts on. Um the first one being that you know, typically when we see a set and we are drafting or playing sealed, um, removal is a premium. Um I'm looking at this set, and it seems like it's not gonna be more a premium, but it is gonna be abundant and a plenty, right? You have things like piercing attack, put that thing back, red alert. Uh, you've got a bunch of stuff that deals damage to already damaged characters. Yeah. And so how do you adapt your um your strategy when removal is this abundant, right? You obviously can't play a deck of 40 removal cards if you pulled them, right? So how do you pick and choose what's the best one?

SPEAKER_00

Uh uh for removal, the the way I look at it is which one is more effective in all situations, right? So piercing attack, for example, is probably not the best constructed green card unless you're playing Buzz Lightyear Actions Return Actions. But no matter what, if your opponent plays a warded character that hasn't had the best stats, or uh not resort uh resist uh resist character, um if you that's gonna get through no matter what, and you can rely on that card to get you two damage every single time. Uh that is and that is what I'm looking for. That is one of those, for example, dragons, fire, and fabled. No matter what, I'm gonna pay five. Bye-bye. Gone, yeah, get out of here. Um, when you're looking at stuff that is removal, and there's like if you for example, Firefly Swarm in the previous set, Firefly Swarm said if you had two cards, then you may hit the discard, then you may get rid of whatever you want. If not, get rid of it. So that was one of the ones that was actually kind of a hand jammer in sealed because you weren't finding a lot of cards that allowed you to get two cards and discard or allow allow you to draw to exp exp expend expel. Yeah, your your hand to get that trigger to to go off. So this set, I'm looking for things that say, you know what, just do it, just do whatever it is that this removal says. That way I can either a, if we're in draft, pass it along and know to avoid cards that have two health. Like if I if I know that there's an evasive card, if I'm passing along a piercing attack, if I pass it along, I'm picking a better card. I know that someone else at this table has that. So I don't need any evasives that have two health.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. So yeah, and and and you know, Ravensberger has uh pretty much given us the formula, right? Uh a one cost uninkable should deal two damage, right? That is the rate. That's the fire the cannon's rate. Um, from there, you know, a two-cost inkable should or should be a smash, right? Deal three damage, right? And so you can kind of follow that logic. And so if the car that you're picking has a condition to it, right, and it's still at the end of the day, only slightly above that rate, maybe it's not worth it because you're not gonna have the synergies that that work with it, right? And I'm thinking specifically, cards that have to deal damage to damaged things, yes, that is much more possible in sealed than it is constructed, right? It's a very um combat-focused format. You are swinging at their stuff, they're swinging at your stuff. There's probably gonna be damage out there.

SPEAKER_00

But um there was a green character. There's a green card, yeah. In the last set, that was like uh Lord Farquad, I don't know if his name was a green character in the last set. It was like if you play this character on turn six, you can deal three damage, two chosen opposing character. Not a very good in constructed, but in sealed from last set was very, very good. And there's other cards that do the same thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and so if you know, if you're you're looking to differentiate between, okay, I have these like eight removal spells, right? And a couple of them are like, oh, deal damage to damage character or something along that line. I usually rate those a little lower, and so they're still good cards, don't get me wrong, all removal is good removal. Um, but if you're if you're looking at like an evasive character or a bomb over that card, that's kind of where the line is for me. So that is very helpful. So the next one I have is um just as a general um warning. Evasive is a fairly common keyword in this set, but alert is not, right? So make sure that you have evasive answers, whether that be your own evasive things, or if you happen to open the one or two alert characters that are in the set, they should probably be auto-includes, right? Um, everybody knows yeah, everybody's catching on to the evasive train. Um, I was there back in the set two set two, so you know, catch up. But um yeah, alert is just not something you're seeing in this set, right? So you really do have to prioritize evasives prior to his removal.

SPEAKER_00

And if I may say you have two legendary pack one, pick one auto includes in this set, and green with Mushu and red purple with Peter Pan and Tingerbell that are gonna say, guess what? Peter Pan Tingerbell says everything's evasive, and Mushu says, I'm gonna draw cards till you get an evasive character. Um you gotta, you gotta, you can't let them, you can't not include you cannot not include them.

SPEAKER_01

You have to yeah, so that's just something I kind of noticed. Um, that again, evasives are prominence. Um, you have Peter Pan and Tinkerbell giving everything evasive. Uh, you have a couple cards that actually just straight up like give something evasive on play and things like that. So just be aware that you will need to have answers. Um, and the last point I have here on this limited environment, as I was looking going over the set a couple times, um, there's a lot of incidental synergies, right? Um and that's kind of inherent with the team of cards, right? So, how do you adapt your strategy when there are a bunch of incidental synergies running around? Whether you you may be playing some or you may sit down across from some. How do you pivot to say, oh, this could do something?

SPEAKER_00

That uh I think those moves are made in the first 30 minutes. Uh, it might be game four, but what what makes a difference is the cards you included in the first 30 minutes when you're in that deck building phase of draft or sealed. Uh for example, uh I'm a drafter uh by by by heart, so if you know that you're seeing Mickeys and Minis, and you're picking Rapunzels and Pier uh and other cards that aren't that, you know you're sliding them someone else's way, right? Like you're you're giving the person that may have opened a pack one pick one legendary Mickey Mouse, Mickey and Minnie. You didn't get it, so someone might have. That's gonna go their way, so you know, like, oh I gotta deal with that. I gotta deal with that. I know I don't have it, so someone might have it as opposed to me. So you're gonna have to get those removals, you're gonna have to get those those um break glass, play this card, and a lot of that is make or break in the first 30 minutes. Um so what you do is you recognize what you don't have. I don't have this, so I need to prepare for it by including this uninkable card, for example. Yeah, I have this uninkable card that is not the best, but is as high attack in the first two to three turns. Um that can deal with the things that I'm not seeing that I know exist in this format. Um so that that's that's what it is.

SPEAKER_01

I think yeah, and I think uh, you know, if you are playing a sealed event, right? Um just understand that these synergies are out there, right? So if somebody goes turn one play a Mickey, right? There's a reason there might be a reason they're playing that Mickey, right? So maybe

SPEAKER_00

if they if they overcommit and you know end up questing with the mini or the Mickey and trying to get a free one on you you say absolutely not I'm actually just going to remove this Mickey and leave you with that high cost shift card in in your hand right so there's things like that that you can take advantage of yeah there's there's there's definitely some moves where inexperienced players or less than less than the best will be like you know what I'll take this opportunity to get two lore it's like you know what that that mini that one drop mini that you thought I wouldn't trade my my three one into yeah because I'm gonna like that's a fair train of thought it's a fair train of thought I have a three one they have a one one I paid two for my three one you paid one for your one one yep uh maybe I just respect it and let it live in reality in this sealed environment I I can't afford to let you have it I gotta trade down I gotta trade down to uh to be weary of that big shift and granted good players won't quest the mini and just have it sit there and then you know the shift is coming so then you hold on to your removal and then you keep that 3-1 and the piercing uh to get rid of the Mickey and Mini on on turn turn three but yeah but be weary be very weary that people are making smart choices. Yeah it tells you just as much if they are not costing them that you probably think they should right um so you got to pick up on the science and really just understand that those things are out there right um yeah so the last part of this episode we are going to give you just some outstanding cards that um punch above their weight class right in terms of the sealed environment right and so what do we mean that by that right maybe this card is overstated or maybe it's not really good in constructed because of you know it's a little slow but in limited it's it does the job real well right um think Todd from our last uh sealed environment back in winter all the time yeah and that's a great segue because the first card I want to talk about is in fact a Todd so always pick a Todd no matter what you do right this is a three drop inkable card in green it's a one two so it's like uh okay stats aren't great but we talked about it last time when you play this play the card you draw two and you discard one right so it fuels your hand card draw is very important in the limited environment because extremely you will run out of cards right you can't pick the best draw cards in the game right you some people don't even open any draw cards so this is just a good card to keep fueling your hand maybe you you include some high cost uninkables in your hand and you see them on turn two right that's a good way to filter them out and continue playing your game yep especially if it's turn one if it's game one yeah it's game one and you you play it's hot and it's kind of under rate and then you're like I'm gonna discard this seven drop uninkable and it's like oh I gotta watch out for that yeah yeah on game two and three because it's gone now but it's not gone in game two yeah it's kind of like and it's a shift target and it's a shift target for a very viable uh turn three play a three three invasive quest for two yeah yeah yeah all right with one of yours here okay all right it's a little controversial oh god a little controversial but uh there is an amber cocoum he is a four six quests for three bodyguard yep yep I don't think that matters here um what matters what what matters to me is he is a as a six drop when you play sealed and you don't get any card draw like you might not get any turn one turn two turn three turn four five six out of cards right you're out you're done you're spent this card is inkable so if you get them you can ink them if you don't get them then it's no whatever but on turn six you say hey look here is a huge body four six quests for three and if you look at this set there is a lot of five blanks five X's so uh I I'm I'm a big fan of finding those cards that have just just enough if you're on the play or on the draw that you can on turn six or on turn five play a thing that needs two swings to be dealt with yeah um I mean yeah you get the potato percy or or carl and and and russell on six is a six six but uh outside of that there's not a lot of cards um I mean you got this the temporary shift but most of them have five attack so yeah you're gonna get six lore off of them yeah and six is a lot so that's that's one of those ones that's like yeah he doesn't look like a lot but mathematically because there's a lot of cards that don't swing for six there's a lot of cards that sort for five but not six he's gonna get you the floor then they're gonna have to double trade right and um what's unique about this right he is a bodyguard right so there is a situation where you've got you've been just kind of staring at each other for a little bit right um that it can be how these games go and then you both players are curbing one two three four five just kind of staring at each other right not super exchanging blows you drop this guy down then send the fort and quest for you know seven right yeah now they can't actually efficiently answer all of your your your dudes because you have this four six in front of them that if they don't take care of right um you're you're gonna start questing for even more right so good pick I like the pick I like the fact that you you recognize that there's a lot of five X's or and not a lot of things that hit solely for six right there's a lot of threes a lot of fours you're gonna have a double trade on your hands uh most of the time I I will say in the each set has this weird gap in I think it's intentional where I'm playing a two seven or a one six or something with these weird numbers that mathematically when you're looking down at the cards you're looking at like four fours looking at three twos you're looking at five fives you're looking at four threes those all the all that math there's always a slot if it is a it's if if it's a one four if it's a three six if if it's a two seven uh stat-wise that efficiently trades is gonna give you a lot of lore and I think he uh is one of those where they're not gonna be able to trade efficiently mathematically if they get the card you know there's not there's uh there's there's not a lot of cards that swing for six and he has six defense yeah yeah it's a good call all right uh and next up I want to talk about Captain Hook here the conniving pirate uh he's a two drop red card uh he's an uncommon and one thing I will note real quickly is that we're not talking about any rares super rares or legendaries right yeah um these are cards that you can expect to open you know if you open that again if you open a Mickey and Mini play the Mickey and Mini right it's or if you open a Peter Pan play the Peter Pan it's kind of a no-brainer right these are cards that you might not necessarily think about but are still good cards to include in limited yep so unless you're back and yes um so the Captain Hook uh is a 3-2 on two it's inkable and whenever this character challenges another character gain one lore so it does have a mini Calhoun effect right it doesn't have the resistance things like that but you are most likely going to be trading for one thing maybe two depending on how how things go and gaining a lore right um establishing a threat that people don't want to turn sideways into especially going second um is very nice for you um yeah it's a little bit overstatted right it's a 3-2 so it it does the job it takes out a lot of little things right you can also you know finish things off with this and gain more lore so you're trading a a body and a gaining allure so it's like you quested but you also get rid of their body it's very good there's a reason to tell who was good pissing super important that tempo is very important a sealed environment um yeah if you if you go I'm I'm not gonna argue with that uh I'd I'd love I love Captain Hook you're gonna you're gonna attack something and you get lore and maybe even attack something else afterwards uh yeah a lot of the one drops in the set are one threes right so this is eating a one three for lunch and trend then trading again right or right worst case scenario right you attack into one something and this guy lives then they're probably gonna attack something else into it right so because they don't want you to get the extra lore again. So um just something to keep in mind he's an uncommon uh people will overlook him a little bit but he's actually a good two drop right and a lot of your game is built on that two three four curve right um and so being able to even you know uh at worst play double two drops on turn four it's always good to compare this guy in there yeah no he's it takes out those those bombs those Kevins that people are it's an uncommon Kevin is a three quester it's a one three and someone's go ha ha I got five copies of Kevin and you're gonna go Captain Hook and they're like oh yeah I'm gonna trade for two Kevins yeah yeah it's pretty Captain Hook good card um easy to slot in for your curve uh and so what other one do you have for us here today the other one that I have outside of Coco Wom is it's just a simple four drop thinkable three three uncommon okay genie genie yeah good card purple and purple and amethyst yep yeah as as most genies are as most genies are most of them most but he's a 3-3 two quest for two evasive straightforward yep yep very straightforward listen to anything that we've said so far he's gonna automatically be slotted right into the deck you're gonna open your pack see it throw it right in uh yeah this it's just one of those things it's like hey man it's it's a it's a four drop three three under stated quote unquote but quest for two quest for two and it's evasive right so if they don't have an answer for it right away you're gonna get two to six lore off this thing and keep it on rolling and he's an answer he's an attacker as well if they go you know if they if they have those one to two drop early evasive questers yeah they'll get their one to two lore but you'll get a swing get rid of it and then get your two lore back so it works out takes two turns but it works out and yeah all right the last one I have here is the Omni droid scanning for threats it is a steel card and it is quite wonderful.

SPEAKER_01

Uh let's see here it is if I can find it stand by there it is uh it's a three drop four three yeah and it's basically a six three when it has no damage on it so when you first play it it's a six three it's just a good swinging robot and that is what we're looking for. It counters a lot of bombs like you said it counters the the cocoum and it's just one of those that's real nice. So um again it's a common you might not necessarily think about this card because you're passing by you're like oh it's a three drop four that's if I may say that's one of those dudes that you can't if it's common if it's it's a common you're gonna see a lot of them but I'll take every single one I don't care what's in the pack.

Um I I mean unless it's an iconic you know yeah of course you should probably take that one yeah but I'm looking at a six three common I want to avoid this card in draft at least and unsealed you don't have much to say about what other people have but in draft I'm no no no you can't have this I have five I have five of them exactly yeah yep so I mean it's just a good card it swings above its weight class for sure and if they want to burn a like a a piercing attack on this thing it still lives and is still a four three right so I will gladly take this card any day of the week and and it has one of those sneaky little synergies where you have the uh the large omni droid this set which is a six I believe an eight eight yeah an eight eight shift for six yeah eight eight for eight shift for six resist two yeah and if someone throws that down resist two eight eight there's no dragon's fire there's no you're not getting rid of this thing no you're trading like half of a deck into this thing if it's still alive so I'm gonna take all the if take the omni droids away from your opponent even if you don't include it in your strategy even if you're not including it's gonna just just destroy your whole board it's gonna trade up it's gonna as six attack and ninety eight percent okay I think it's like 97.2 ish is above six defense this guy is taking out everything in the game yeah everything in the game it's it's disgusting it's quite good so yeah pick your omni droids uh pick your tods uh close this out with your one last card here all right uh this is a very controversial card here we go all right it's a red action that lets you play more action nope stop no what do you mean go ahead all right it is prophetic vision you just had to go and say it didn't you I did I did hear me out hear me out hear me out hear me out hate me if you want hate me if you want prophetic vision shuffle your deck then reveal the top card if it is an action card you may play it for free otherwise put it on the bottom of your deck each opponent loses one lore and you gain one lore now I think this card is no one's grabbing it no one's grabbing it no one cares a reason but however there is a lot of actions in this set let me let me pull up my well this is not technically one pick but it is a an avenue that um that you can go if you're going all right go okay looking looking at best you get to play one of your actions for free at worst you paid two ink to gain a lore okay it's not I mean it's it's fine I again I don't know how many actions you're actually gonna be playing to make this worth it um if you roll up and you've got like six red moon rituals red alerts and things like that yeah okay sure but I'm just not convinced that this in a normal sealed or draft deck is going to make the cut unless you're completely building around it right and yes the gain alore lose alore is good it's it's good I'll give you that it extends the game um later on in the game it gives you a shot at blowing out your opponent however I just don't know how many actions you're actually gonna want to play that's gonna make it worth it right because you I mean to make this worth it you'd probably want to play 10 plus actions at least right so you have a one in four chance in hitting it right okay I'll I'll give you ten actions I'll I'll give you I'll give you five actions I'll give you five that's not worth playing it at that point I'll give you six okay what how many do you need how do you need how many do you need I'll give you all of them it's gotta be it's I mean it's gotta be ten like that's that's 25% of your deck right and even then not convinced because then you're losing board pressure but yes please convince me okay in a world where this is draft not sealed draft sure you're gonna get you're gonna get this is a uncommon card so you're gonna probably get two to three realistically yeah especially if you're picking them like a madman yeah you're gonna and and also you're gonna take this seven drop uninkable action as one of the of one of the ten seven drop uninkable red moon ritual that says get rid of something yep you're right no it that there are a lot of good actions in this in this set however like I said I think you really do have to build your deck around this card in order for it to actually work no no no absolutely absolutely you have to commit to the bit yeah you you can't play this thing unsealed I mean maybe you can with your no no this removal spells but yeah this is a draft this is a draft card you're gonna pick you're gonna pick up one copy of you broke my smolder you're gonna pick up two copies and stop me if I'm crazy but you're gonna pick up two copies of red moon you're gonna pick up no you're never gonna nah you're gonna have to pack one pick one red moon ritual for sure now people will pass it people will pass it because it's a seven drop uninkable and they're gonna grab a legendary character with high stats over it it's gonna that's real easy to do you should anyway okay most people most people yes yes if people pass you a red moon ritual you just take it because that's a sing together seven that's super easy to do yeah but you're gonna you're gonna get one you're gonna get one you most likely will get one not and it's not just about removal here you're gonna get with a few good friends and a few good cards that's gonna let you draw when to do cards people might not take it right away because it's a six drop it's not an action card it's it's it's not super singable but it's it's it's gonna draw you cards you got piercing attacks out ahead which is if your opponent has more lore than you you automatically gain two lore and if your opponent's terrible if you're lead you gotta commit to the bit you gotta commit to the action bit for this you do yes you have to solely commit just like wardrobe just like wardrobe was bad people are like oh wardrobe why I got a bunch of items who cares no no I'm taking all the items and I'm drawing all the cards because everyone left the items on the table uh you got put that thing back put that yeah yeah that's gonna red alert um what am I at six six actions now yeah uh look I'm not convinced I mean may maybe it works if you really if you get past the perfect packs and you're doing everything you can maybe it works um you might be able to convince me if if you know you could take seven buzz light years with that and make it work but uh it's a tough sell I mean I'm willing to trust you because you know you do some crazy stuff sometimes and it seems to most of the time work out um and I you do have a valid point that at worst it's gain one your opponent loses one right so that's yeah worse not bad later in the game you can stall out the game and have a chance to to blow them out I I suppose um but I well I need you to do this one time for me and film it and we'll go from there how about that no i'm I'm just saying I so I'm just saying if you get a bunch if if you can get two or three of this action and you can pair it in a draft environment where you pick up your one drops early and you know hey I'm going into this I'm going to the store today and I'm going I got a vision and it's prophetic yeah and you can pick up the because honestly put that thing back yeah oh yeah you can do a lot of damage with some of these actions yeah yeah and you can do a lot and if you have half of your deck is nasty actions and the other half is above the rate good characters in the quest or just just evasives if I have just evasives and actions and all of these actions are bounce that back to hand tap that thing draw some cards look at the top four grab a character you know no I yes um you we all know what's gonna happen now is that our first pre-release this is going to be that the way that we have to go it will be wonderful but all right well I'm I'm willing to attempt it I'll I'll I'll let you I'll tell you that um but uh yeah so those were some of our um let's call it sleeper picks for things to to look out for when you're drafting or in your pre-release environments um I will as a caveat yeah as a caveat as a caveat to that forget everything I just said crab a hate awarded Hades for six yeah you should do that yeah don't do anything you just said but do pick hope warded Hades oh all right until next time folksmart and quest fast
