I never thought I'd live to see something like AI, let alone watch it write an article, create a realistic picture or video, or answer questions. And yet, here we are. So what does that say about us? I'm Bob Shaw, and this is Faith Fuel. I've lived through some pretty incredible technological changes. I remember life before home computers, before the internet, before smartphones, and before social media. And here we are now in the age of artificial intelligence. I love technology, always have. I'm even finding practical ways to use AI in my own work. So this isn't one of those technology is scary kind of things. But I have noticed something. The more capable technology becomes, the more people seem to ask what makes human beings different. For years we assumed there were certain things only people could do write, create, solve problems. Now, AI can do many of those things too. Maybe not in exactly the same way, but enough to make people stop and think. I mean, look at the videos and pictures these days from AI. There was a time when seeing something with your own eyes was enough. Today, we're not always so sure. Is it real? And for some people, the questions go even deeper. Will AI replace my job? Will the skills I've spent years developing still be valuable? Where does all of this leave me? Believe me, those are not crazy questions. A lot of people are asking them. Can I give you some encouragement? Just like everything else, none of this is a surprise to God. The rise of AI didn't catch him off guard. The changes we're seeing didn't suddenly force him to come up with a new plan. He knew this day was coming long before any of us did. And guess what? He still has a purpose for your life. Let's go back to the beginning. The book of Genesis, chapter one, verse 27. So God created human beings in his own image. Our value doesn't come from how intelligent, productive, wealthy, or successful we are. Our value comes from the one who created us. Technology can be incredibly useful, but there are things it can never experience. Love, forgiveness, worship, a relationship with God. Those things are part of what makes us uniquely human. Your value isn't based on your output. It's based on the fact that you were created in the image of God. And that's true whether you're having the best year of your life or the worst. Father, thank you for creating us in your image. Thank you that you're never surprised by the changes happening around us. Help us remember that our worth comes from you, not from what we accomplish or produce. Teach us to see ourselves and others the way you see us. In Jesus' name. Amen. Technology will keep changing. It always does. But what God says about you hasn't changed at all. You were created by Him, loved by Him, and designed for a relationship with Him.
