SPEAKER_02

Do you wanna know what happened?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well yeah. I'm on the edge of my seat over here. Start the episode. She goes, wait, I I need to tell you something. I go, okay. She goes, record.

SPEAKER_02

Grayson, I had a dream about you last night.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I don't love the way that feels. Okay. Do you wanna was it like a good dream or a bad dream?

SPEAKER_02

A little bit of both. Bad for me now, good for me in my dream.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. Wait, what does that mean? Expand on that.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so you were perched up on this mountain, and it was like a dirt mountain, but then where you were perched up, you were surrounded by trees, and I took a city bike.

SPEAKER_01

Hold on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Perched.

SPEAKER_02

Like you were like in a con like a conclave okay like a concaved portion of this mountain. Okay. And you were sitting there. And then I went up there on a city bike. The city bike like powered me to go up there. Okay. And then I I met up with you there.

SPEAKER_01

And then No, look me in the eye when you say that.

SPEAKER_02

No, I can't look you in the eye today. Guys, listeners, sometimes Grayson and I have dreams about the other person.

SPEAKER_01

Is this why you were when I got here you were yelling at me and mad at me? Because you're projecting.

SPEAKER_02

I'm ovulating. And Grayson doesn't even know what that even means. You have no idea what that even means. You don't even know what an ovulation is.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, that is a good segue. Is ovulation the period where not no pun intended. The period where like you're most like capable of becoming a mother? I'm trying to say this in the like a most PG way.

SPEAKER_02

You word things so funny sometimes. Um, yeah, it's where you're the most fertile.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, there you go. Yeah, that's the word I was looking for. Did you just fart? No, I went ah. Oh, sorry. I felt a vibration. It might have been my phone.

SPEAKER_02

Getting a call. Welcome. Welcome back to another episode of Are We Flirting? I'm your host, Sid.

SPEAKER_01

I'm your host, Grayson.

SPEAKER_02

And this is a hot room, and it's gonna get hot.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna get real hot, but that's okay.

SPEAKER_02

Speaking of hot. Steamy Grayson and I had an improv show. I literally can't make eye contact with you.

SPEAKER_01

I literally can't make eye contact with you.

SPEAKER_02

No, it just makes me uncomfortable. Also, Grayson has like really beautiful, like green eyes. Like they're like, let me look at them. Unlook. Um, they're like a brown green.

SPEAKER_01

My left eye has a more brown tinted near the iris, and my right eye is much more green.

SPEAKER_02

Let me see. No, like stare at me head on. Like they're really beautiful. That's what I remember from my dream, too.

SPEAKER_01

Damn, we're making eye contact in the dream. I know. Wow. Um when my eyes aren't bloodshot, they're much more beautiful, but that is a that doesn't happen very often. There's a lot of people.

SPEAKER_02

That they're they're always bloodshot. You always look like I don't know why. So you're not your liar. Um speaking of sweaty, Grace and I had an improv show yesterday. And we it was a hot one, huh?

SPEAKER_01

Oh my goodness. Uh so for those of you who are not in New York, there was a torrential downpour yesterday, flash floods, and we in our improv group tried to unionize, and the instructor of the class just wasn't having it. He was just like, All right, if you guys don't want to come, don't.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So so everyone made it, but like one person.

SPEAKER_01

So everybody was like, okay, so we're not going in, and everybody was like, yes, correct. And then we the instructor was just like, yeah, I mean, you know, weather's weather. And then we were like, Yeah, you're right. I guess we gotta go in.

SPEAKER_02

He he sort of provided no real guidance in that situation.

SPEAKER_01

Not available.

SPEAKER_02

Um it went it went pretty well, honestly. Some friends came out, it was really cool. Um, I I didn't expect people to actually be there.

SPEAKER_01

I did it, and then it was a packed house. Yeah. Like literally standing room only.

SPEAKER_02

That was us in the bed standing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, trying to stay cool.

SPEAKER_02

It was really it was a lot of fun though. Um, Grayson did this one part, and it was my favorite. Was he pretending to be a cockroach? And he ran prop. He ran across the floor so fast. Like, I have never seen anyone move that fast. And I don't know if you've seen a cockroach that like knows you're about to kill it. It like is so quick. Like Grayson like quickly ran across the floor. All I see is him on all fours, and I turned around, I lost it. I was like, I can't go on anymore. Like, it was the funniest. It was apparently per the crowd and my friends in the crowd, they said that that was the most laughs.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I honestly, you know what's funny is and maybe let me know your opinion on this. When you're up on stage, do you hear any of the laughter ever?

SPEAKER_02

I I sort of, sort of.

SPEAKER_01

I never processed. I was thinking about that yesterday because I was trying to remember the funny parts. I could when I'm up on stage, I could not process the laughter at all because I was so in my head of like, alright, what's next for the scene?

SPEAKER_02

Oh well, that's good though. That's a I feel like that's a better way to be because you shouldn't be too reliant or reactive on laughs where I'm that's all I was paying attention to. So I blacked out mostly. And we sh I wanted to take a shot beforehand, but we should have.

SPEAKER_01

I think that would have helped. I wasn't really nervous until we got up there, and then I got real nervous for the scene when when the scene that I started, which by the way, I brought you out with me, not because I knew I could try and break you, but because I was like, our friends are here, maybe they'll like that we have a scene together. I the when it started to not go well for my scene, I was like, Oh no.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Grayson like uh just he knows how much I like hate like fart humor, and he decided that we had a baby named and I said, Oh, we didn't put a name on it, and then you gave it a name. Yeah, and I was like, Okay, so there's an like uh we had a birth certificate. It's like trying to explain a fever dream. I feel like trying to explain my dream makes more sense than trying to explain this.

SPEAKER_01

So me and Sid are parents, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So we had a little baby, we had a baby, um, and yeah, I wish that you gave me something else, but it's fine. I so I even said we're progressive parents.

SPEAKER_01

I missed that. That would have definitely took the scene in a better direction.

SPEAKER_02

I was trying to go into the scene that we named this baby something ridiculous so that it would get bullied so that we wouldn't have to like I want my baby to have the same level of trauma that I had, but I don't want to traumatize it. So I feel like the best thing to do is to give it a name that it will get bullied because getting bullied made me a better person. Did you get bullied? I feel like no.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

I'm surprised. Not to sound like you kind of give bull like bullied vibes a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

Like I was bullied?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So the there's so many hairs, I keep scratching my chin, and I'm like, what's going on? Is there a fly perchance? But no, it's just the little hairs on this microphone. Yeah. ASMR.

unknown

Tell me about you. You're bullied.

SPEAKER_01

So I didn't the thing is. I went to a really small school and I was Mr. Popular. And I mean that.

SPEAKER_02

Do you want to know how I So Oh, so you were Mr. Popular? Oh, you so that means that you were fucking giving head in the bathroom to everyone? That oh, you're Mr. Popular freaking the teacher teachers off.

SPEAKER_01

I did write my uh nice my freshman year of high school. I wrote my biology teacher a love letter because she was leaving the school, and the tea that all the other teachers found out and they were like, they thought it was cute, and I was like They're like, you can't do that. They were like, I talked to I was friends with my high school English teacher because we were uh family friends, and he was also leaving. So when he took he took me aside one day, it was like at the very end of the year, and he was just like, Hey, I just want to let you know all the uh all the other teachers know about your love letter. I was like, You're joking.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no shit.

SPEAKER_01

And he was like, honestly, we all think it's pretty funny.

SPEAKER_02

You're like, okay, I was looking for sentimental.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, I'm trying to get laid, so I'm 14 years old.

SPEAKER_02

Do you think that it's appropriate to keep love letters from previous lovers?

SPEAKER_01

Um I recently came across a love letter from my first girlfriend that I have. I have a I keep a like a chest full of like all my memories.

SPEAKER_02

And like your thoughts, not like your physical, like anything tangible. It's just a chest.

SPEAKER_01

And like you open it up and I'm like, Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like it's like that one scene from Scooby-Doo when they go to Spooky Island where like all the heads.

SPEAKER_01

They release the souls. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Release me. Yep, that's like it. Okay, keep going.

SPEAKER_01

Um and I was cleaning it out. This was actually a couple years ago prior to me moving from Idaho to Philly, because I was obviously I had a bunch of shit in there, and I was like, all right, I'm not gonna ever use any of this or look back and be like, oh, first grade perfect attendance. Wow. Um and then I came across a subtle brag. You know what's you know, the kind of kid I was talking about Mr. Popular, I didn't miss a single day of school, unexcused absence from kindergarten to senior year of high school.

SPEAKER_02

I had one That so sounds like you.

SPEAKER_01

I had one Actually, that's not true. I missed one day my sophomore year because I got food poisoning after eating uh Costco chicken bake and a Wendy's Frosty. But other than that, Costco chicken bake's so good. Well, I haven't had one since. A little scarred. It's coming out both ends. What were we talking about?

SPEAKER_02

Keeping love letters.

SPEAKER_01

I I came across a love letter from my first girlfriend, and I when I read it, it made me so sad. Yeah. I was like, oh my god. It was call her. No. It was one of those things where I was like, damn, I didn't realize how in love with me she was.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay, that's not what I thought you were going to say.

SPEAKER_01

It's so the way I said that it sounds very douchey, but I was like, dude, I had no idea like she was Have you ever written a love letter? Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_02

Are you a good love letter writer?

SPEAKER_01

Probably not.

SPEAKER_02

Can you write me one just for practice?

SPEAKER_01

A love letter?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do you want me to write it as a character?

SPEAKER_02

No, as you.

SPEAKER_01

The concept of me having to write a love letter to her. I have to act.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, I actually think it's so sweet. Nina, um, Nina Count, uh, she wrote me a like a friend love letter, and it was so cute. And so maybe you could do something like that. Yeah, maybe. Should we kiss just to see if we feel anything? Like still, after all this time. Anyway, you and Nina kissed last night.

SPEAKER_01

Did we? Yeah. At the very end. Right right in front of me.

SPEAKER_02

How did it make you feel?

SPEAKER_01

Well, that was when I was like, oh, me next.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I think yeah. Yeah. She has juicy lips.

SPEAKER_01

Cool.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, wait. Speaking of Nina, she actually I want to talk about. Nina Count. She did a she put out a video and I really appreciated it, and it was about how um we need to normalize like logging off again. Like being like, okay, gotta go. Like, you know what I mean? And you're just like logged off for the day or the night or whatever. Like we have constant communication with everybody all the time.

SPEAKER_01

Like do not disturb, kind of.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but it's like even that people still get so upset by you saying, Oh, I have to, I like I'm I'm I'm on do not disturb, I'm not gonna be on my phone. Like, people we need to normalize going back to like logging off, like properly logging off. Because that was like one of the really beautiful things I feel like about us being kids is like you could go on the computer, you could like. I didn't have a laptop, but we had a computer that me and all my siblings and my grandma would use, and she would always watch what I was doing on there, and she did not like it. Shout out to grandmom, she's the it's the racist one.

SPEAKER_01

The ra I thought it was the do you have a racist one and a homophobic one? Or is she? No, she's the same. Oh, okay. One and the same.

SPEAKER_02

The one that I that's multifaceted. The one that threw up when I told her that I was bisexual, that was just a coincidence.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, she just she had the Taco Bell lettuce?

SPEAKER_02

She I had the Taco Bell lettuce and I realized something. Remember when we were shooting that thing and I had to run away?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

I think that that's why, because I had Taco Bell the night before.

SPEAKER_01

Did you have Taco Bell lettuce?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. I think there's literally a parasite inside of you right now. That parasite that's inside of you. I'm gonna stop myself here.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

The joke wasn't good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I knew it wouldn't be.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So anyway, so but I got into the Uber and I had to lay on my side because it was so bad. Like I was in so much pain, I couldn't like even sit on my own bottom.

SPEAKER_01

Would did you go poop before our show last night? Or yesterday? Yeah. You were in the bathroom and I was like getting kind of nervous.

SPEAKER_02

No, I'm not gonna lie. You know what it made me think of? What? When I was in high school, I gave a speech at my like graduation. Or we had like a uh are you looking at the time?

SPEAKER_01

I just didn't know if we started the recording or not.

SPEAKER_02

I hope we don't. Um I gave a speech and I had to um there was like a couple people before me, and I was like, okay, I'll have time. I need to sprint into the bathroom. And I ran into the bathroom, and I'm going to the bathroom, and all I hear is Sid. Sid, you're on. Sid. And it's in front of my and like I think it's yeah, my whole c class, which is like over 500 kids, and then like the teachers and whatever, maybe parents, I forget whatever it was. It was like a s we did a ceremony the night before graduation, so this is what this was. Anyway, but not part of the story. I was in there, and then all I hear while I'm literally wiping is sid, sid, sid, sid from the auditorium. I'm having a panic attack. I sprint out there. At this point, everyone in my high school knew I had IBS, like it was just like a thing. It was like a since only. There she goes, farty make shit, but like I hate I just want you to not say fart for the next like foreseeable future. Okay. Anyway. Sorry. So I sprint out there and I was like, sorry guys, I was in the bathroom. And then like into the mic in front of the bike. And then everybody goes, Yeah. No, and then like it got so many laughs, and I was like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Then you're like, not comedy. I'm getting into comedy.

SPEAKER_02

Well, the speech that I gave was on passion. And like how important it is to like always which is so like funny because that still very much aligns with me today. I feel and I always like talk about how important it is to have like true and proper passions. And I I refuse to have friendships where people aren't passionate because it means that they're like I I don't think they're like romanticizing life or or working towards something. Yeah. So anyway, that's fine. Um, so I gave the speech on passion, and like I there was a couple like awkward things that happened during the speech, and I had like a couple, I got a couple laughs from like someone's phone went off. I was like making a joke about it, whatever, and then I that's when I was like improv. I was like, improv. Nice, it's gonna be improv. So anyway, um, and that's what so that's when when I got triggered when you were knocking on the door when I was in the bathroom, and I was like, I thought you were like running like out there already, and you're like, Sid, let's go.

SPEAKER_01

That's why I was like getting concerned because our instructor was up there doing what he does best, where he was just like rambling on trying to be funny, man. And he I could tell like he was about to introduce us, and I was like, knocked on the door the first time when he started talking, and I was like, Hey, like we're gonna go on soon. I didn't say this, but I was just like, you know, that was what the purpose of the knock was. And then as he was going on on his monologue, you were still not out, nor did I hear a flush, so I was like, So we gotta go.

SPEAKER_02

Like oh my god, okay, and then that made my stomach so much worse. It was so bad. So anyway, we made it. We made it out there.

SPEAKER_01

Dennis, Jimmy presents Dennis. I'm going to that by the way. Yeah, me too. On Friday.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, me too. Guys, come out. Our friends doing an improv show. We'll put details in the thing. Um, but you can come out, say hi, and they're so they're all so funny, like it's gonna be beautiful.

SPEAKER_01

Sid, I'm curious.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What's your rabbit hole the week?

SPEAKER_02

My rabbit hole of the week.

SPEAKER_01

Sid, let's talk hole.

SPEAKER_02

Alright. Well, the hole that I'm going down this week is honestly the manosphere.

SPEAKER_01

The what?

SPEAKER_02

The manosphere.

SPEAKER_01

Why does that sound familiar?

SPEAKER_02

Because it's like Andrew Tate Clavicular.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm I've been in a constant rabbit hole about clavicular in particular and like his nose job.

SPEAKER_01

You got a nose job?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Cayou looking ass. What did you talk? First of all, Grayson showed up here with a yellow like belt or something on. What was it?

SPEAKER_01

That's a t-shirt I'm changing into for the España game.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. And he okay, so you're gonna do red shorts with a yellow top?

SPEAKER_01

That are the national colors of Spain.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, McDonald's looking ass, looking Caillou looking ass. Anyway. Um I feel weird.

SPEAKER_01

You know what, Sid You know what, Sid? You have a great sense of humor. Your hair looks great. In this outfit, you're eating. Anyways, go ahead, keep making fun of me.

SPEAKER_02

That's like the nicest you've ever been to me. I was waiting for you to like the punchline. So anyway, um what was I saying?

SPEAKER_01

Um the Manosphere, Clavicular's nose job.

SPEAKER_02

So he got a nose job, and it objectively doesn't look good, and I actually feel sadness for him because he's going around in Europe and trying to like flex on people the same way he does in Miami, and that does not fly with um with with Europeans, let alone the French. He's like in Paris right now or was. Anyway, um, but everybody's like really coming at him and making fun of him, and I feel really like I feel sort of bad about it, even though he's a horrible person. Yeah. Why why were you laughing?

SPEAKER_01

Because I thought of a joke. I know it's not gonna be funny, so let's No no, it's like he's walking around France and he's trying to flex on people, and they're like, Who are you? You look like Vaudemorat.

SPEAKER_02

That's the joke.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Your French is actually um parfait. How do you say um merci beaucoup?

SPEAKER_01

Merci beaucoup.

SPEAKER_02

Are you are you gonna learn more French? Should we go somewhere before we go to Portugal?

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna go somewhere after solo trip, which is sorry, I know you're ovulating right now. Sid just came.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, like you literally were like we have to be in a we have to be. We should trav where do you wanna do you wanna do a solo trip or do you want me to come with you?

SPEAKER_01

I was kind of hoping it would be a solo trip. And I'll explain why it involves my rabbit hole the week.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well, that was my rabbit hole the week, is just everything about the manosphere. What's driving men to people like Andrew Tate? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Were these men lost and then therefore they found a savior in Andrew Tate? Or did Andrew Tate make these men so disillusioned that they are now relying on red pill content to fuel their self-hatred and hatred of women and incel behavior? What's your whole of the week? One thing that I love about men, I love the way that they dress up in their little costumes and they go to the bar with each other, and then like like we're going in someone's backyard and you're like, Did you bring your jersey?

SPEAKER_01

So everything you just described is also relevant to women.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's cuter when men do it because they like get really excited together. Women are already doing this all the time. Right. It's the one space I feel like men give themselves permission.

SPEAKER_01

Girls' night is just men when they go and there's a game at the bar and they all wear their matching jerseys. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's like a pajama party.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, you're wearing Charles Woodson on the Green Bay Packers, dude? Where'd you get that? Fanatics.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, dude, that's cool. Dude, let me let me buy you a beer.

SPEAKER_01

And then they and then they look at each other and they go, What are we? And then stay in character.

SPEAKER_02

And then they go That was me in character.

SPEAKER_01

I know. Then they go to the I don't know, some dive bar several beers deep at this point, and then they start talking about like things other than just like the games and like catching up on life, and they're just like, Oh, you know, it's been really tough since Stephanie and I broke up, and the guy's like, Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. If you ever need anything, bro, I'm always here. We need to get beers more often. And it's like, yeah, man, I always feel like so comfortable and at home when I'm getting beers with you. And he's like, Yeah, let's you know what? Let's get another pitcher. And they if now they're like two-thirds done with this picture that they just bought, and then all of a sudden they're sitting closer together. And they're both trying to ignore the fact that their hands keep brushing up against each other, but they're not pulling away now. It's now 2 38 a.m. in the morning.

SPEAKER_02

And I just got away from us.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and the guy's like, Nick. I'll use a different name. Ben.

SPEAKER_02

The way I was gonna I was gonna use a different name.

SPEAKER_01

Ben.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

This is gonna sound crazy. Do you want to have like a sleepover, dude? Dude, I haven't had a sleepover in years. It's been years. Yeah. And then they're like, what if we put on like Brobe now? This is like a joke. All of a sudden. Say it's me. Cut two, we're on the couch, right? 2 30. Uh they took an Uber home, 2 47 a.m. Dude, I really like your place, man. These jerseys up on the wall. You got those framed? You got those framed?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. My dad's a framer.

SPEAKER_01

So sick. Dude. When's the last time you watched a movie? Like I know we said we're gonna go to bed, but like I'm not really tired.

SPEAKER_02

No, I'm not tired either. I'm a little bit I'm a little bit like uh tuned up though from all those Mikel Voltras ultra.

SPEAKER_01

Tuned up. Yeah. Tune. You're crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'd I'd watch a movie. I don't think I've watched one since uh Minions 5.

SPEAKER_01

Minions 5, dude.

SPEAKER_02

So what do you think it'll put it on?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, maybe like a comedy. So I you know I'm in the I'm in the mood to laugh, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Sorry I'm not giving you enough giggles.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, come on. You always bust balls, you know that. What if I don't know. What if we You know what's like a funny movie? Or like you know what would be funny to watch?

SPEAKER_02

What?

SPEAKER_01

Like Broke Back Mountain. Because like, come on, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Dude. I've never seen that.

SPEAKER_01

You haven't seen it?

SPEAKER_02

No, you have?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I watched it one time. But like as a joke when my bros in high school. It was like a dare, you know. We were like, we were all just like kind of sitting around. We're just like passing stuff around, just being like, dude, what have we put it on? Like, what's it really about? It turns out it's actually a pretty good movie, I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_02

I dare you to put it on now.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. Yeah, I got a 60-inch TV in my living room.

SPEAKER_02

Then they insert the V into the VHS a copy of Brookback Mount.

SPEAKER_01

Careful in the use of the word insert.

SPEAKER_02

VCR VHS tape into the VCR.

SPEAKER_01

I'm more or less about the use of the word insert.

SPEAKER_02

I know what you meant, but I was trying to figure out which one was which.

SPEAKER_01

Um it would be a Blu-ray DVD player these days. Classic.

SPEAKER_02

We put the Blu-ray DVD disc into the d the disc into the disc player.

SPEAKER_01

You cold? Like you getting cold? It's kinda cold in here, right?

SPEAKER_02

They were both feeling just a little bit chilly.

SPEAKER_01

I got this Lola blanket. You ever heard of that? This is my ex's. She left it here and I didn't tell her about it.

SPEAKER_02

His ex got a brand deal with Lola blankets, and he she left it at his house. They broke up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know influencers, man. She just I just I didn't feel comfortable always going to these events and like being around guy like she was hanging around with like the Love Island guys, and like they're just like she knows my boundaries and just like you know, they're all really hot dudes. Like, I'm not gonna lie, they're all good looking, attractive dudes.

SPEAKER_02

He felt very insecure by the Love Island guys. But but mostly he felt sort of attracted to them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's just like there's it's just a weird feeling. Like she'd go to these events, and I wouldn't want to say I was like jealous of her that she got to go to these things, but like you meet like a lot of cool celebrities, like there's a lot of cool people there.

SPEAKER_02

So they cuddle underneath the Lola blanket. Not touching, just both underneath the Lola blanket together.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, man. I know my couch isn't really all that big, but he had a small couch.

SPEAKER_02

It was actually less of a couch and more of an armchair. They were cuddled up pretty close.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, honestly, man, this I feel like this movie has a lot of redeeming qualities. Like Jake Gillen Hall is such a good actor, you know.

SPEAKER_02

He loved Jake Gyllenhaal. He even had a poster in his bedroom when he was a young boy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You ever seen the movie Donnie Darko? Yeah. I was a big fan of that movie, and I I I had his poster up on my wall when I was a kid. You do?

SPEAKER_03

That's so sweet.

SPEAKER_02

I was in a blow state right there.

SPEAKER_01

What we like to do here is paint with our minds and our words.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, I actually kind of like that style. Maybe we should maybe we should implement something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Like a little narration?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So tell me about your whole of the week.

SPEAKER_01

So I'll be quick. So the Roman Coliseum.

SPEAKER_02

You always without you always Me when I'm Sonic? You always and you have no control?

SPEAKER_01

Me when I'm the Flash. Me when I'm reverse Flash and I'm evil and sick and twisted.

SPEAKER_02

So your whole of the m week.

SPEAKER_01

So I've been doing a lot of research on the Roman Coliseum because I'm fascinated by it. Underneath the Roman Coliseum, there's this thing called a hypogeum or a hypogeum. Basically, it's underneath the stadium, there are a series of brick columns holding up wooden platforms which can be removed and taken out so that you can like raise and lower the surface or raise and lower objects and items. So um, for example, like back what back when the Roman Colosseum first started, it was mostly just bricks, like the brick columns, and they would like use the basement, I'll call it the hypodium for um storage of stuff. And then eventually these guys came up with a great idea to use a pulley system to raise and lower stuff on like a wooden plank. So then that's where you got like underground entrances. This is a lot of where the the the modern concept of like um stadium performances for concerts where they come out of the floor that comes from the Roman Coliseum. I don't know if you know this.

SPEAKER_00

No. Eventually they added more and more pulley systems, and then that's when they started getting cages for animals, and so they would out of the ground would come a lion, and then a gladiator would enter from I think it was the gate of life, which was the eastern gate. At the cardinal north, south, east, and west, there were four gates, there were four archways. The south one is where the emperors would come in, or like the like the political top elite. The east was where the it was called the gate of death, and that's where like the like prisoners of war, people that were like they're sent to die essentially in the in the uh Coliseum. And then uh gate of life, the west is where the like the gladiators, like the strong men, people like that would come through, and I forget which one the north was, but um So the holes of that I'm talking about is like the lowering and in of platforms.

SPEAKER_01

Eventually they got to the point where because of the wooden platform they put sand on top of for like the stadium.

SPEAKER_00

They removed the sand, they removed the wooden planks, and they threw a series of channels um and like aqueducts, they filled the stadium with water. And then they did sea battles. Like simulated sea battles. And then they also had a latch to drain the stadium. So, like if I don't know if you've seen have you seen Gladiator 2 with Palmas Cull and uh Petripus Cull? Yeah, so in that they have a simulated sea battle, and that's actually historically accurate because they used to be able to do that with the Rome Coliseum. What? Wait, so that's what you want to do. You want to go to Rome beforehand by yourself? I want to go to all the like touristy guided tours of like the Coliseum. You should read um The Song of Achilles.

SPEAKER_01

I heard it's good.

SPEAKER_02

It's gay, but it's good. I heard it's good. It's it's gay, but it's good. Girl who like is a fucking homophobe. It's gay, but it's good somehow. That's what I just sounded like. It's a really good book. I'm sweating. Can you see the sweat on my face?

SPEAKER_01

So you're gonna want to cut at uh the 32 mark. You're gonna want to cut.

SPEAKER_02

So Grayson, I want to give a quick shout-out to our sponsor.

SPEAKER_01

Hinge.

SPEAKER_02

Uh so last week we worked on creating each other's profiles. And Grayson, I'm curious, have you gotten any hits from the beautiful profile I made for you?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I actually went on a coffee date yesterday with the Hinge match. It was pla here's the thing about me. I love a morning date. I'm a big morning date kind of guy because uh the only time I really have free is Saturday and Sunday mornings. Sunday morning. Can't do that. We'll have to cut that. Saturday, Sunday mornings. Saturday, Sunday mornings. So I asked the girl if she wanted to get coffee at 8 a.m. on a Saturday, which is tough to find.

SPEAKER_02

It's diabolical.

SPEAKER_01

But because of Hinge, I was able to match with somebody that was okay with that and actually preferred that. So I went and had coffee. We chatted for like two and a half hours. It was a great time. Um, we will be seeing each other again.

SPEAKER_02

I can't believe you did an 8 a.m. date. That is like diabolical behavior.

SPEAKER_01

What's wrong with that? I love a morning date, a reason to get up on the weekends.

SPEAKER_02

Did she say anything about the hinge rump I gave you?

SPEAKER_01

The thing is about that, and I don't know if you can concur with what your matches have said, but the I think there is a little bit of um like, oh, this is like he's approved if like a woman is like, hey, my friend, he's fun, he's got a cat, I promise he's okay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think there's a little bit of like merit behind that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, also I feel like it's yeah, for me, I feel like people have been like, oh, your friends are funny, so you're probably funny.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, do you do you think that because I gave you some notes on your profile as well, along with the the voice note. Do you think that having a guy's opinion on your profile helped at all with like bridging the gap? Because sometimes I feel like with me, with the mindset of a man setting up my profile, it's not always tailored to like, oh, is a woman gonna even like this? Do you think that helped at all? Did you need a man to get a date on a dating app?

SPEAKER_02

Nope, I didn't. But I do think again, it helped kind of create like a funny little atmosphere, like it was a funny thing for us to talk about, and he was like, Oh, this guy has some things to say, huh? Um, but yeah, but I've had some fun matches. I feel like the part you mentioned about bits has brought a lot of people into my DMs, into my hinge DMs, um, that has been pretty bit forward. So I appreciate that you said that because now people are starting the conversations with a bit.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so you got like a lot of jokesters matching.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, which is what I like.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was gonna say that sounds like your time. So they worked out.

SPEAKER_02

It's actually working out pretty good in my favor. I actually went on a date.

SPEAKER_01

Whoa, do you have any more dates coming up?

SPEAKER_02

Um, it's in the air right now. We're we're both busy, which is good because I think for me, the perfect partner, we would see each other um Wednesdays and um Saturday nights.

SPEAKER_01

So then questi question Has it moved off of hinge now? Like have you successfully matched with somebody that you like and now you're like through texting?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Nice. Yeah. So I'm gonna probably set the app on fire now.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. So, Sid. Yeah. What are you flirting with this week?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, this week I'm flirting with trying new dates. I'm scared.

SPEAKER_01

Trying new dates.

SPEAKER_02

Trying to date.

SPEAKER_01

Trying to date.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So I'm flirting with that. I'm flirting with um I got some more paints. Don't ask about that. I'm I'm working on it. I messed up the bottom one, so just the first layer.

SPEAKER_01

There's no such thing as a mistake or an accident when painting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. As my father, Bob Ross, Bob Mick Ross, would say. Nobody knows that it's Mick. Nobody knows that. Um, other things I'm flirting with. Um mixing more colors together in in my outfits. I feel like you're flirting with this too.

SPEAKER_01

Kind of, yeah. As evidenced by my bright red shorts.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I've seen you wear those quite a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Well, good thing I got a washer dryer in unit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, like, okay, rub it, look, me too. I know. It keeps it's just like I can't keep up with it. No, I'm flirting what I should be flirting with, laundry a laundry machine.

SPEAKER_01

I think it's great. I think the overfilled laundry basket next to the Wi-Fi box, next to the glass of water, next to the book, next to the mug.

SPEAKER_02

Those flowers though are um from a date. Really? Mm-hmm from Hinge. Wow. Yeah. So so things are pretty good for me. Also things I'm flirting with. Ulta's lip stain. People have been asking me, Sid, what do you put on your mouth? Do you think like a that's like a it looks like a Crayola marker and it's lip stained? What do you think of it?

SPEAKER_01

Good. You remember when Nina Count put on lipstick of f to me yesterday?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you were putting you were flirting with putting on lipstick. Yeah. It actually was a good color.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't even know. Like I didn't look at myself ever.

SPEAKER_02

How often do you look at yourself in the mirror?

SPEAKER_01

Well, before I leave.

SPEAKER_02

Do you have like a face that you know how everybody has that face that they a little bit mug with in the mirror before they head out? It's kind of like No, you do, you do, you have one. You kind of go like you do something like with your lips. No, you'll be like this.

SPEAKER_03

Which is really good for our listeners.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, you do. I have photo evidence of it. And I'll insert it right here. Insert it. Um, Grayston, what are you flirting with this week?

SPEAKER_01

I have another bird. I have a pigeon that's hanging out on my documentary.

SPEAKER_02

Like w woman.

SPEAKER_01

So I'm flirting. Uh the pigeon I think is too large and weighs too much to hang out on the bird feeder that I have. So I'm gonna get a larger one for that, for the pigeon.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry, then I looked in your eyes and then I went somewhere dark that I went last night, my dreams.

SPEAKER_01

She went here.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Sid and I were arguing before the cameras turned on.

SPEAKER_02

We do we argue a lot, I realized.

SPEAKER_01

Guys, make sure you leave a comment, please. We love the comments. Why why are we averaging 14 comments on a video? Like, come on.

SPEAKER_02

Guys, tell us about your Grayson is like I need feedback. Yeah, Grayson, he's uh he has a feedback kink. So if you can give him any kind of feedback, that would be great.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_02
