Hi, everyone, and welcome back to the Theology of Business Podcast. I'm your host, Darren Schear, and this is a show for marketplace Christians seeking to explore and apply God's will for business. On this episode, we're joined by Brad Hawkins. Brad is co-founder and CEO at Wi-Fi, which has developed Safernet, a cyber safety and internet control app. Safernet turns exposed business owners into thriving entrepreneurs who grow their businesses without cybersecurity fears. Brad has also started and built eight companies, including two event centers. He currently owns and operates in the Denver, Colorado area. He's also started and built an LA LED light manufacturing company, investment management company, financial life coaching, medical wellness, oxygen delivery, oil well drilling. Who knows what'll be next? Brad, quite a serial entrepreneur. And prior to his extensive career, um Brad earned a business degree from Colorado Christian University and also earned a degree in theology from CFNI, which I believe is Christ for the Nations Institute. Is that correct, Brad? In Dallas, yeah. Awesome. Well, Brad, welcome to the Theology of Business Podcast.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you so much. I've been looking forward to uh to getting on here with you and talking a little bit about the theology of business, one of my favorite topics.

SPEAKER_01

The same here. Well, Brad, when did you first realize God wanted to be involved in your work in business?

SPEAKER_02

Um you know, uh when I first realized it was uh actually when I finished my degree in theology, I was doing some some mission work with them with a group of people over in uh in uh Europe. And I I found that I was helping all of these different missionaries with their finances and and not really doing what I thought I was going to be doing. And I I think maybe even the first time God ever spoke to me, I was on a pier, uh just about ready to head home after after touring around, and and I felt like God told me to go and and learn finances from college because I was teaching people how to do finances that all seemed normal to me, but I didn't uh I didn't have a degree, I didn't have advanced knowledge of it. So uh I felt like God said, I want to use you in in business and finance. And uh when I thought I was going into being a pastor, and so it just kind of turned my world upside down. But I was like, well, if that's really what God wants me to do, I'm gonna step in there and do it. And so I went and got a degree in uh business and finance. So that's where it all came from.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. Well, can you give us uh an example of one of the habits that you have applied throughout your career in really any of the businesses that you've run, that you've built, um, that helps you become more Christ-centered in your approach to business?

SPEAKER_02

Um what a great question. Uh and this is pretty meaningful to me. Uh the and and I can't tell you that I've done it my entire career, uh, but it's not been something that I've not been aware of my entire career. Uh I've sometimes fallen off the wagon and got back on. But um it is it kind of is foundational to say the Bible is a real living word of God. It's the real living word. It's not it's not a a list of history, it's not uh, you know, something that you know was meaningful 2,000 years ago or thousand years ago, whatever it is. It is God speaking to his people. And when when I when I understood it in that meaningful way, um I'm like, well, why is it that I wouldn't spend my time in that word? Why wouldn't I pay attention to what it's saying? And so um, you know, what what I do in the mornings is I I get up and I I I stick my nose in the Bible and I and I read it. And and it's just not that I read it to get it off my list, because I've done that before in the past, you know, getting that little check mark saying, okay, I did my Bible study this morning. It's that, you know, I I spend my time just sometimes I might dig into one verse saying, okay, God, what do you have for me? What are you trying to say? And I'll dig into that one verse and I'll then I'll I'll bounce around in scripture. That's what I call it bouncing, but I'll use those center references that you know are are right there in most all Bibles. And if if something, if I feel like the Holy Spirit's saying something to me out of that verse, I'll say, okay, where else do you say that in the Bible? And and I'll use those center references to go to maybe from Psalm to Isaiah, you know, and see what else he has to say about that. And I'll I'll journal it, I'll write it into my um little notebook and and I keep going. And and it's like this ongoing conversation that I have with my father that that just simply guides me through uh it's it's unbelievable how often I'm I'm sitting there studying something, and then for whatever reason, something throughout the day jumps out and saying, gosh, I I just read that today. And it's part of his real ongoing talk communication with me that I find is so meaningful.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Wow. Can you give us um maybe an example of a scenario, a real world scenario in business at some point in your career where a scripture or passage just really came alive for you in a in a particular real world scenario in business?

SPEAKER_02

Um uh yeah. Um I've gone through some tremendous ups and some tremendous downs in my career. Uh I've had uh uh I've worked with some highly ethical people and highly dishonest people. I've I have done uh I have uh traveled the world working with all kinds of different people. And I see amazing things in amazing people. Um, but I I had built a pretty large uh uh uh large group of businesses that that I was managing and responsible for, and and there was a fairly dishonest person in the mix that really caused me tremendous problems. And I was just so frustrated. And uh I remember a time, and and sometimes this is hard for me to get out. So if I choke, let me know. But uh I was uh my entire family uh was was gone for whatever reason. I think they were visiting somebody. Um, but you know, those are the perfect days to get all your yard work done and get all the housework done. And that was my plan, is that so I got down early, about six in the morning, uh to uh and I sat on my back deck to to get some Bible study done. And then I was gonna go mow the lawn after uh, you know, before I was gonna interrupt all the neighbors sleeping with my lawnmower. So um, so I started doing some some Bible study, and I just asked God, why is this so difficult? Why, why am I having so many troubles? And and and I was a little frustrated with God saying, you need to tell me what's going on. Where where did I go wrong? What what am I what am I messing up? Show me if I need to repent from something. And and I just started doing my abiding or bouncing it through uh scripture, and um, you know, I had to position myself in a way that the the sun coming up wasn't wasn't uh in making the Bible hard to read. And I just started reading and writing notes down, and and it wasn't too much longer that that I realized I have sun directly in my eyes, which basically meant that the sun rotated all the way around because of the way I was sitting. Uh, I sat there all day and and studied, and God spoke to me. And and I was writing so many notes, I was like multiple pages in my journal, and I didn't even know. It was like I was I was uh not even aware of what it was that God just kept speaking and speaking. Uh and when it going back and reading through it, it was taking me through all the stories of all the extremely tenacious um uh uh people, you know, Jacob when he when he fought with what is believed to be God and and saying, no, you have to bless me, or you know, whatever it was. There was multiple stories that he took me through that I wrote down showing me that I needed to be more tenacious. He was teaching me tenacity and strength to stand in difficult times. And and I'm looking at that thinking, man, he just, I mean, downloaded to me one entire now, I've never had that happen again, but it was like he just put me in a little cocoon and he wanted to just refresh me and put me back into the place where uh everything's okay. You don't worry about this. I've got all of these problems that you're dealing with. Just take my take the gift of tenacity that I'm giving you and stand strong when it's difficult. And I I came back looking at that. I obviously I didn't even get the lawn mode that day, but I I see that as one of the greatest gifts that he's ever given me is just he and I communing and him loving me enough and caring for me enough to say, don't worry about all this. I got it. You just work on staying connected to me and not letting go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Brad, what's one of the habits that that helps that you've instilled in your companies corporately? Um, could be all of them, any of them, uh, to help your entire company reflect God's character, not just you and your personal walk with God, um, but something in the actual way that the company operates.

SPEAKER_02

Um, yeah, I do this with with all my different companies. Um the we we get together on now. My Safernet company uh are is we're completely mobile. Uh we don't have an office anymore. During COVID, we shut down the office, which kind of scared me, but uh it's turned out to be tremendous. I love it. And I got people all over the world working for me in that company. Uh, so it's a little bit of a different atmosphere, but with my event centers, I bring everybody together every Wednesday morning and we go through the entire week and we look at all the problems in the entire week that has happened. And we look at it and say, okay, what do we need to build systems around? And what do we do we see as just kind of one-offs that just fell apart and it it probably will never fall apart again? And so then we talk about systems. But what's really interesting is that nine times out of ten, somebody was at fault. And and I can't tell you the number of times that that uh there's been an issue, and you know, you can see somebody's being a little bit concerned because they're about to to be exposed to this group of leaders in my in my company, and uh we we don't like things going wrong. We want to make sure that everything is just airtight. Um, but it used to be that I had to bring this up all the time, and now some of my senior leaders bring it up saying, hey, there is absolutely no fault. We don't blame anybody for anything. All we're doing is taking and learning from something that happened and seeing if we need to look at building a system around that to make sure it never happens again. And there is complete forgiveness. There is no, even if it makes somebody look really bad in the situation, there is no accusing, there's no judgment, there's no uh no uh um backbiting, there's no gossiping that happens. It's just simply, hey, we look at the problem and we solve the problem based on a system and not based on attacking somebody. Now, in the beginning of us doing that, it was not that way at all. It was everybody was pointing their finger to somebody else trying to get it to the place where they weren't being blamed for the problem. And it took about a year of eliminating the gossipy relationships and eliminating the accusations, and then uh getting everybody to the place where they trusted us enough to say, let's allow this to take place and grow and help the business become better without accusing somebody. So, and and it's fascinating because we can bring up scripture in that situation, and not even everybody is a believer, but at least they understand that the scripture in those in those particular cases, it means a lot more to me and some other people. Um, but in those cases, they look at it as great wisdom as opposed to something to be afraid of.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, what an example of this of the scripture be there?

SPEAKER_02

Um uh, you know, it's it's interesting because uh um we had some event leaders, uh, we have uh somebody that's there leading each event, and they were reporting back to the staff that uh the uh we were having a bunch of quincenaras for a period of time, and they were reporting back that they didn't want to do any more quincenaras because they were always just a lot of drinking and a lot of crazy and a lot of uh a lot of uncontrollable kids and and that kind of thing. And there'd be you know 500 people in an event, and so uh and and all of a sudden I noticed that it was uh turning into a uh a cultural thing where that people were blaming the culture, the Hispanic culture for the lack of ability to manage their own kids. And uh, you know, I I jumped on that as fast as I could and said, you know what? Here's the deal. God loves every single person identically. There's nobody that he loves more, there's nobody he loves less. Uh and we we talked about God's love for every single person. And I said, I don't really care if someone's black or white or or or any variation of in between. Uh we treat every single person with the love of God, not the love of us. We don't care about our love. We're our love is worthless. We have what God gives us is our ability to love these people. And if we're making, if we're struggling with a culture, we're struggling with our ability to be able to love those people. And if we can't make sure that their event goes off as much as anybody else, then number one, I don't want that person running that event. But number two, I want to make sure that we represent Christ in the way we run an event and we're gonna we're gonna love those people. Now we had a brand new and uh uh uh Hispanic uh lady that that actually went to uh went out and found a Hispanic uh podcast and asked if I would be on their podcast and and talk about that cultural aspect that we're driving into our company that we're we're not ever paying attention to any kind of race or color or attitude. We're looking at how do we love people and it really turned into a big thing in our in our in the culture of our company, but it wasn't about a race, it was simply about loving people and uh and it was it was fun to see how God's word applies in every situation.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I want to give a quick shout out to our sponsor, High Bridge Books. If you're a Christian and you want to write, publish, and sell a book, you really need to contact us. So go to highbridgebooks.com. You host a lot of different kinds of events. Um, I'm sure weddings is probably the the bread and butter. How do you handle same-sex weddings?

SPEAKER_02

Uh, you know, that's always a a big question. Um you know, in the Christian culture, it's handled differently than in the non-Christian culture. And then there's some crossover in between. And uh and you know, I could I could make a lot of decisions about a lot of those things specifically, saying, um, you know, uh, you know, same same sex, we're we're not gonna do any same sex. Um and then and then I look at it and say, well, why? Why is that? Well, it's because God says that uh marriage is between a man and a woman. And I completely understand that and and I completely agree with that. Um but if I'm going to jump into the mix of making a decision based on what what I consider is is sin or what God considers as sin, um, I've got to do all sins. Uh if and you know, if somebody's a gossip, uh if somebody is uh uh watching pornography, if somebody is having an affair, I mean, I've got to get into the mix of every single sin to determine if uh if we're gonna bring people in to marry them or not. And that's not the place that I am. I I don't have the ability to make those judgments. Um, God alone is the one that creates those judgments. Um, all I can do is read the scripture and see what the scripture has to say. So from from the way I understand scripture, my job is to show them who God is. My job is to show them God's love. Now, uh if they're believers, it's a different conversation. It's uh but if if they're not believers, they're not subject to the the boundaries that God puts out. And so if if my job is to represent who Christ is to them, um we will love them like they deserve to be loved because that's the way God shows us his who he really is. God is love, God is not judgment. Yes, God has rules and he has uh everything that that he wants his believers to follow, but he wants us believers to follow those not for judgment, but because he knows that's the very best for us. He lays out a perfect life for us, and he says, if you live this kind of a life, you will have a much greater life. He it's part of the whole Abrahamic covenant. He he says, you know, let me let me bless you, let me give you an abundance, let me take care of you. And if you follow these guidelines, those those blessings are even that much greater. And so it's it seems a little odd to me to have people follow all God's uh uh covenants, all God's laws, all God's rules that are all based out of his blessing for us before they even believe in him. And so my job is to uh help people understand who he is, and then God's job is to convict them of sin or convict them of the things that they might be doing that will keep them from the great blessings that he has for them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. How about when they are believers or they claim to be Christians? Um, how do you handle? And they they say I want to get married, I'm a man, I want to get married to another man, um, and I'm uh born again Christian, they would say, How do you handle that situation?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we uh um they can rent out the place um, but we don't have and oftentimes we provide pastors for for marrying people. We provide, you know, the whole the whole gamut. Um uh they can rent out the place, but uh I don't have a pastor that's gonna marry them. Um I don't have a pastor that's gonna step in there and do uh do that covenant work between them and God and to do that because that's that's between uh them and and and uh we just treat them as someone that would not be believers. We're not gonna tell them they're not allowed to be married here, um, but we're not going to bring in a pastor that's gonna bless that uh that union. Um and I know that uh and that's something that we just take and pray for them. Um you know, just like my job is not to judge a non-believer, my job is also not to judge a believer. Um, and it's not that I'm gonna look at them and say that they're horrible people or anything along those lines. It it does make me a little bit sad that they are not gonna be walking in the extreme blessings that God has for them. But he he can still bless them, he can still work in their life and and he will be working with them. Um, but God and the Holy Spirit, that's their job to talk to them and to convict them of sin. If they'd like to come to me for as a counselor and and I will definitely do my best to help them walk through that path. Um, but I'm not gonna step in the way of that um because that's that's that's God's job.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and do you still bring in pastors for if they are their unbelievers? Do you who who marries them in that scenario?

SPEAKER_02

We we we don't do that. They they they usually bring in their own. Um and uh so yeah, our pastors, they they will uh they'll work with them, they'll they'll give them uh if they choose, I mean that's not mandatory by any means, but they'll they'll give them some pre-metal marital counseling and direction and um and help them be able to set their feet solidly on the ground as they step into that world. Um, but if uh uh if we don't have a pastor that is is supportive of of the union, they just decline that option. And they'll have to bring in another an another uh pastor or another another somebody to marry them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you were saying that you faced some criticism in the in the media there. Um what what happened there?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, multiple years ago, there's some uh people that uh that uh were were trying to drag us into some uh uh some battles in regards to that. And what's what's interesting is we had a uh uh a couple of gay men that were working for us at the time that that actually came to to our our defense that actually ended up becoming believers, uh, which was uh uh kind of a fun journey to watch them go through out of the the love that God showed them through working through our company. Um but uh they came and they actually talked to the press when they were calling over and over again, saying, you know what, you just need to to drop this. They're not gonna say anything that you want them to say uh because they're not that kind of people. And they're not excluding um uh uh gays from getting married. What they're doing is they're not supporting gays getting married, and it was really an interesting conversation that they had, and and God protect us, we just they they just dropped the whole uh onslaught of activity in in about a week and a half. It was just gone.

SPEAKER_01

So wow. And um, I mean, what kind of influence do you have with your with your clients? Um, I mean, the this is a on their their biggest day, one of the biggest most special occasions of their lives. I mean, you you have an opportunity to really have some meaningful conversations about the Lord with them?

SPEAKER_02

You know, I don't personally. Um, I I really to be honest with you, I don't even know who's getting married and who's not. Um I'm oftentimes not even aware that we're having an event because that that's why our staff is they're operating so well. Um, but there's uh we we have multiple meetings with them. And um, you know, we have event planners, we've got uh uh we we schedule a caterer, we do the whole thing soup to nuts if they want it, or they can do the whole thing, whatever they choose that they would like to do. Um, but our our leaders that lead the meetings uh oftentimes are able to share with them. You know, it's not a it's not part of the the the plan by any means, um, but there are always opportunities that we're able to to share. And it's just a matter of how God opens the door and how he he doesn't. And if there's a door opened, uh uh the staff, uh the believing staff will walk through it. And if the door is not opened, then that then there's nothing that would be said about it. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um what what's another way that you another habit that you have instilled across your company corporately to help the entire company reflect God's character?

SPEAKER_02

Um, you know, in uh uh in our cybersecurity company, I we have these meetings all the time. And we have a culture in the in the cybersecurity company that that we pray at the beginning of every meeting. And uh even even my non-believers will say, Hey, are you gonna pray? And so um, and and I make I make it very clear that you know when we hire somebody that that's the culture that we have. And and I say you don't have to participate at any level, um, but we're not gonna change our culture because of you, and I don't expect you to change your culture because of us. Um, and you're more than welcome to become part of this. And it's really interesting, is that they they they crave it uh after a while. Um but that being said, I I make it really clear that the mission of that company is that you know what I believe is that that God uh laid the groundwork to create the greatest tool of all time, and that's the internet. Um, and and it it might even be the greatest invention of all time and uh barring possibly the industrial revolution, although maybe it is better than I have no idea. But the enemy has taken amazing things that God has created all the time and turned things bad, and and so that's really the way I see this amazing thing called the internet, is that it is something that really the world runs on. So, of course, the enemy is going to do everything he can to use that to continue the great destruction. I mean, he's taken the the internet that is an amazing tool to be able to share the gospel over the world, and he uses it to uh to uh cause great destruction to people with pornography or with uh you know stealing or you know, whatever it is that is is out there. And so um, you know, the God talks about putting on the armor of God, and uh, and I see uh Safernet as kind of the armor of the internet, where we can put on the armor of the internet on any endpoint device to help you walk through the internet and use the internet and the great tools of the internet at its best capacity, um, without the risk of being attacked with pornography and without the risk of people sneaking in and stealing your credit card information and all the different things that are happening. We we give that internet, that armor to anyone to allow them to use the full capability of the internet without the risk of the enemy coming in and just destroying you. And so that's and with our company understanding that that is our culture, um, they they're very motivated and saying, gosh, that's our job. Our job is to give the tool of the internet to everyone without risk of being destroyed.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, what a mission. Um safernet.com is the website. Anything else you want to say about how people can um learn more and adopt your service?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they can they can go to Safernet. Um uh and uh it it's a it's a it's a fun project. It really is a lot of fun. We we we do what we call three in one, where we have a uh 256-bit encrypted VPN that allows somebody to travel through the internet encrypted and nobody can see what's going on or anything like that. But then we put virus protection inside of that. And I truly believe that God gave the vision of that to my developers because nobody else in the world knows how to do that. And I believe that was God given uh to put virus protection inside of the B VPN so that if you encrypt yourself to a bad website that has uh has uh viruses on it, we're gonna stop those viruses before they even get to your network, which is super cool uh for our developers to have that figured out. And then we have 200 internet controls that allows a father or a uh businessman or an administrator of a network uh giving them all the tools to be able to see all the traffic and allow and block certain things as they go, but it also gives them 84 filters that they can turn on and off portions of the internet without them being able to uh, you know, you if you turn off pornography, nobody can get to any pornography sites. If you turn off social media, nobody can get to any social media sites. It's it just allows control to an administrator uh to manage the network the way that they feel is appropriate for for their business or even for their home. And so it's really uh uh a fun thing to be able to see how people use it, but we just give people 200 uh controls and they they dictate how how it seems to make sense or not. Um, one of the very interesting things that I get super excited about is we block so much of the uh uh the outside activity that's coming in and trying to steal your activity, steal your your uh the information out of your device or whatever it is. Um, we all know that that's happening, and people talk about it all the time. People are reaching into your device and taking information, and we block all of that information, which technically what is happening is when you use a VPN, it actually slows down your network connection a little bit. Uh, our our latency is considered uh 0.01%. But because we're blocking so much of that outside activity reaching in, the effect of that is actually we speed up your internet connection because all of that outside stuff is not used in your CPU access activity. So that's kind of a fun thing as well to get to the place where you have a little bit faster internet connection and you have uh a lot, a lot better safety as you travel around the internet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So just as a matter of stewardship, we need to be guarding what is coming into our companies uh through our servers. Um and what it what would be uh one action you'd want people to take? Certainly we want people to go to safernet.com, but um in terms of just must-have cybersecurity practices, like what's one or two of the ones that even nowadays companies just aren't yet doing um, but really need to be doing.

SPEAKER_02

You know, that's a really good question. Um and that's really why we developed this product, is that we combined the three uh elementary, most important parts of cybersecurity into one app. So, and that's the reason that we did that three-in-one tool is you know, internet controls are very important to be able to understand and manage and protect with. You need to be able to understand what's happening in the network. And they're very, it's a very simple thing because I'm a pretty simple guy. Uh, I'm not a tech wizard by any means, and if I can understand it, anybody can understand it. Um, and then uh, you know, a VPN is critical to any cybersecurity. Now, a lot of people use VPNs to spoof a network, to pretend like you're in Europe when you're really in an America or something like that. That's not why we use a uh a VPN. We use a VPN to encrypt your traffic as you go through the internet. So it's kind of like a tube that you're traveling through the internet in secret and you show up where you need to go and nobody even knows you're there, and then you get dough, do what you need to do and come back. But then if you accidentally trip on a virus somewhere, we're stopping it before it even gets into the internet. So those are the three most important pieces that that someone needs for their basic cybersecurity. Um, now one thing that I'm really proud of how our guys put this thing together is that we're 24-7 always on as well. Now, most VPNs, you've got to turn on your laptop or turn on your cell phone, and then you have to remember to go and hit turn on your VPN. Um, and sometimes people remember and sometimes you don't, um, but you're vulnerable anytime that that's not turned on. What's also interesting is that people don't believe that they're at risk if they don't um access Wi-Fi. For example, if you go to let's just say Starbucks and you just go in and grab a coffee, but you don't log into Wi-Fi, you think you're safe. You think there's no problem at all. But if you have your Wi-Fi connected, if you have it turned on on your phone and you walk in, your phone automatically connects to that network, which means that anyone within that network has access to your phone. Whether you log into the Wi-Fi or not, they have access. If you have Safernet on and it's the VPN is on 24-7, anytime your phone connects to a Wi-Fi, even driving down the road, anytime your phone connects to a Wi-Fi, you're protected. And that's something that most people really don't comprehend in their internet protection.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Wow, that is uh important um uh wisdom to consider. I mean, I I was wondering, Brad, how many people in just in the United States alone are know enough about hacking to be able to exploit somebody like that who doesn't who walks into a star? Like they're sitting in a Starbucks and there's a guy on the on the ch in the chair over there that knows how to travel through that Wi-Fi connection and go steal your bank information, for example. Like, how many people do you think know how to do that in the United States?

SPEAKER_02

Um, I can tell you thousands and thousands and thousands. Um and and if you want to prove to yourself that it's easy, just go to YouTube and say how to hack on a public Wi-Fi. And there's hundreds of videos with 13-year-old kids telling people how to do it. And it's really kind of scary and unbelievable to see how simple and easy it is. Now it's it's a matter of of downloading a couple of apps and and and then going in and following IP addresses. I mean, it's really simple to do. Uh, and if you can imagine, what happens is that you you walk in and you think, well, who's gonna be uh hacking me? I'm meaningless. Well, it doesn't matter if you're meaningless or not. Um, what happens is is that that you walk in, you connect to a Wi-Fi, uh, somebody drops a Trojan on your device. So a Trojan is simply uh a small little program that goes on your device and you don't even know it's there. And then you go back to your office or you go back to your home, and then somebody accessed their trojan that they put on your device. And now, because you're behind your your firewall, when they access that trojan, they can go anywhere in your network that they'd like to go. They can go into your financials, they can go into uh anything that you could go, they could go. Uh, that's a real simple approach. Another is is a phishing email, and the phishing emails are out of control right now, but an email that that comes in, and as a matter of fact, my wife just showed me one that she got today where it looked like it was an Adobe email and said, Hey, we need to pay this. Um, and all they wanted you to do was click on a link. And it was from Adobe, everything looked legitimate. And she said, you know, that just doesn't look right. Um, well, yeah, it was not right. It was a phishing email. Um, but when you have Safernet on, you click on that. Uh Safernet knows, and it will stop you from accessing the website they're trying to draw you to. Um, if you don't have Safernet on there, on nine times out of 10, it's gonna uh drop some kind of a virus, maybe even ransomware, which is highly destructive to small businesses or any large business, actually. And it just basically shuts down your entire network, and you got to pay thousands, if not millions, of dollars to release it just because someone clicked on a on a link with Safernet will stop that and it won't allow that ransomware to get anywhere.

Yeah. I was just looking on YouTube um based on your uh recommendation. I I I looked up how to hack public Wi-Fi, how to hack Wi-Fi networks, 2.2 million views uh within the last two years. Wi-Fi password cracking in six minutes and four seconds, 1.6 million views. This is crazy. So it's happening. Um, I mean, this is what this is what kids are learning how to do nowadays. Um let's uh let's be wise and protect ourselves and our companies because you know if they hack your phone as a small business owner, it's probably not just your personal stuff on there, it's probably your business stuff. And there's other people's livelihoods that are at stake there. Um, Brad, this has been a fascinating conversation all the way around. Um thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with us and just your heart for God and how you bring that to your um to the marketplace and the companies that you run, and um for encouraging us to do the same.

Um thank you so much for having me on. I can't tell you what an honor it is to speak with you and and just see you've got uh quite insightful questions, and I'm very impressed. So thank you very much.
